[vent] quick mental health update
Posted 3 years agoHey, everyone, I'm REAL sorry I haven't posted anything or made much progress on my work in a little while. I've been having a HORRIBLE past few months, and my mental health has completely tanked as a result.
My depression's been on and off for the past few years, but it's just kind of peaked lately. The past few months have just been... miserable, honestly. I haven't been keeping track of my hygiene, I've gained a bit of weight, I've just kind of... gotten close to giving up, honestly. I've had suicidal thoughts recently, and they've done nothing but just hammer in how unhappy I am lately... I'm sorry for dumping all of these unhappy thoughts on everyone like this, but I really just need to get it out.
I've been feeling a serious dip in quality in my writing lately, whether due to a lack of motivation or just being out of practice, I haven't felt good about anything I've created recently, honestly. I know everyone loves my stuff, but my general universe my characters take place in, my writing of them, gifts I've made for people... they just haven't felt up to the same standard that I've put most of my stuff, I suppose. I've had a few really good friends to relax with lately, and that's sort of helped out, but... fuck, I don't know. I'm really not doing the best lately.
If I don't respond to you or just seem low energy lately, please don't worry, I'll get back to you. My brain's probably distracted with something else or I'm just... not in the mood to answer anyone lately. I'll have periods where I feel better every now and then. I'm just... sorry if I seem lifeless or like I don't like you. I'm doing my best.

I really only do gift stories for friends, and I don’t ever really take story requests unless they’re, like, an art trade or something I’ve already been wanting to do.

Posted 4 years agoHey, so, as you all probably know, I have ADHD and mild autism. I’m really sorry that I haven’t been able to focus on writing as much as I have lately.
More importantly, I’ve been struggling with depression and anxiety for a while. It feels like I’m not that happy anymore, and I don’t know what to do about it. I’ve hit a big low recently, and I’ve been been feeling horrible lately. It feels like a struggle to stay happy lately. I really don’t know what to do at this point... I’ve considered mild self-harm a few times, but I couldn’t end up going through with anything like that.
I’m so sorry about how little content I’ve been putting out, and I’m really sorry I’ve come off as clingy or irritating to some of my friends on Discord. I get really lonely and pushy whenever I feel down, so I’ve been worried that I’ve come off like that to people lately.
I’m really sorry if I’ve come off as a burden to any of you. I just wish I could be better... I really wish I could feel better.
