I deleted any personal art and personal characters from this gallery, leaving up only commissions and gift art for other people. I'll be leaving those here, so no worries if you received art from me it's still here for your viewing pleasure. In an effort to be more true to myself, I'm officially coming out as transgender. From now on, my name is Zack Loup, not Kira.

I'm still trying to decide what to do about my account. I don't really want to make a new one, but at the same time I don't want to continue being known as my old name so I might have to do that.

For a long time I've been hiding or toning down who I really am, and it's made me miserable. I'm not doing that anymore. I'm trying to be more true to myself in how I represent myself, how I dress, how I act, what I draw, everything. Don't be surprised if you see a lot of changes from me soon.

For the first time in years, I'm closing commissions completely.

I'm currently really unhappy with my art style. I don't think it looks bad per se, I'm just incredibly bored of it. I fell into doing realism because that's what everyone told me would be more professional, what people would want me to do, etc. But truth be told, I'm sick to death of drawing it. I don't have fun with my art anymore. I think that's really obvious in some of my recent pieces that I just don't care anymore. I don't want to sell people sub par art, so I'm closing commissions while I figure this out.

There's a very good probability that my style will change drastically, and I'll understand if any of you want to unwatch me for that reason.

I'm not exactly having a party but Kiko and I are gonna go buy Superjail Season 3, get really drunk, and watch that shit. And if I'm not tired after that I'll probably end up drawing a bunch of really "quality" drunken artwork.

A bit late, I know. I just needed some time to process my feelings on this convention into something other than a keyboard smash.

It was awesome, and it probably would have been even more awesome if I hadn't have been stuck at my dealers table most of the day. I had an absolute blast!

I honestly feel so much better after this weekend. I'd been stuck feeling really grumpy and gloomy for a long time, but this weekend I really broke out of that. I danced, I sang, I made friends, I was proud of myself and I still am proud of myself for letting go and having fun.

Everyone I met was so nice and people called me by the proper pronouns, it was great.

I got a sudden influx of new followers, several through the old comic pages, and that's lead to a lot of questions about when I will be updating the comic. I already made a journal concerning why I am restarting Terminal (http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4614841/), but I suppose I should give you and update to let you all know when.

I'm thinking it won't happen until about September (which I know is kind of bad, considering that's only a month before the anniversary of the original comic's premiere).

Here's why:
- I'm looking to sort out any and all medical issues with myself this summer. I'm going to be going to a doctor to get help for anxiety, and make sure there's nothing else wrong with me.
- I'll be going back to school this fall (hopefully), and I'll be using a lot of this summer to sort that out.
- I've got to make a LOT of arts and crafts to sell at my table at Megaplex since that will be my first con selling alone instead of with my mate.
- My band is recording a new album this summer, and we'll be performing at Dragon*Con in late August/ early September, which means we've really got to step up our game in terms of our performance!

Terminal is getting a SERIOUS rewrite, to the point where I'm currently writing out the pages as if they are a novel to make sure if flows well. It'll be a much longer story; the old one would have finished in less than a hundred pages, but the new version will have at least double that. Some character designs are being overhauled, and new characters are being added. I'm really hoping you guys will love the new version even more than you liked the old one. Just give me the time to sort everything out.

My band (The Gekkos) will be playing at Knightrokon at UCF today! It's free to get in if you have a UCF ID. Stop on by if you're free! I won't guarantee the best show you've ever seen, but you'll get some laughs out of it. :D

I've decided to stop making prints because the cost of making them is too much for how slowly they sell (I've had the same prints for three years now, they move very slowly).

So I'll be making a lot of small original pieces to sell.

So guys, suggest some animal species or poses or settings or ideas or anything of the sort you think might be cool to see. These will most likely all be either small sketches or small watercolor paintings. I'd like to have a big variety of things to sell. I will not be doing any premade adult art for Megaplex, though, because it just didn't sell last year at all and in all honestly it's such a clean furry con I think having adult art on my table scared people away. Just because you suggest it doesn't necessarily mean I'll do it (if it's an obscure request I doubt would sell), but I'd appreciate some different, fresh ideas from people.

I have officially decided to restart Terminal. Completely, not just revamping the old pages.

Since my big goal for last year was to start a comic, when the end of the year started drawing near I began to panic. I had been working on the story for Terminal in various incarnations for two years, and finally had something I was happy with. And since Halloween was drawing near, I decided that would be the optimal time to release a comic with a horror theme. Due to that time constraint though, I cut a LOT out of the story. I wanted to jump into the action faster, to gain more readers. But almost instantly after starting the comic, I regretted doing that. I feel it made the characters a whole lot less interesting than they are in my head. They came off a lot more flat and clunky on the pages. And that isn't what I want. And making that decision caused me a lot of mental and emotional strain. I knew the story wasn't being portrayed in it's full glory, and that I was ultimately not going to be happy with it. I started to get really depressed every time I had to update. I got really angry at myself. I actually had a full on panic attack/mental breakdown right before the release of the comic where I had to go to the emergency room because I thought I was having a heart attack, but it was actually just anxiety due to the stress. That isn't what I want. I don't want to feel chained to this current version of the comic just to keep making other people happy, when I'm falling apart.

So I am currently completely revamping the comic. Everything. Certain aspects of the story will be changing entirely. The beginning will be much longer, and hopefully make people much more empathetic to the characters. Certain character designs will be getting overhauled. And it will be done in traditional art, even if that is a more expensive option I feel that in the end I will be much more proud of it because traditional art is really where my heart lies. I'm hoping to put out something much more quality, and hope you all will stick with me while I figure it out.

I didn't do as well as I'd hoped because the artist alley was really slow, so I'll be reopening the commission sale after I finish the to-do list below, hopefully sometime next week.
