Updates/Badge trades?

Just haven't felt like myself for a bunch of things recently. I never did a pre-com meme, or will be doing a after con report. I did enjoy my time, but something happened that makes me realize things have to change. I need to change. I need to become a better person for myself and well being. So I'm going to try to remove the negativity around me and try to get better relationships with friends. Me and my BF are still happy, but just us feels isolating sometimes, and I need more social interaction. It sounds weird, but it's true.
I know posting this isn't going to do much here. But I feel posting it, do it's there is important. Instead of deleting it, or running from it and pushing it aside as a one time thing. I know you may wonder why I want to do badge trades in this state, but it's something positive. And seeing people's reactions is great, not too mention accomplishing a small thing. Some of the bigger things are going nowhere, or bumps in the road, which gets discouraging, but I'm going to keep pushing through.
Also, going to try to post more suit related work in progress and everything else! If you have Twitter, I've been posting some stuff there recently. It's my preferred social media right now (besides Telegram) Come follow me if you want! (@Kirinhybrid)
But also speaking of suit things, I am closed. I know locals/friends keep asking for small things/repairs, and I keep saying yes... So please, don't. It's hard for me to say no. Unless your willing to work with me, while I work through things. Not to mention I work full-time midnights, so I will be slow at what I do. But I will do things the best I can, and repair/replace if they don't meet my standards.
I've also been having trouble pricing myself and charging people, which is also leading to my burn-outs. So I have been fiddling with a price journal.(http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6983740/) I kind of hid it on a previous journal so I could sneak it in, but it's there! Not that I plan on commissions anytime soon (to most people anyways) but I'm hoping it will help with pre-made when I do, or small commissions I have been poking at. Not to mention updating warranty/T.O.S as I see things that may come up, or have come up in the past. It's more of a personal reference to edit and play with, but I wanted to share it for input and what not.

I normally do these as artistic freedom, but am willing to take specifics this round!
$10.00 Headshot (can also include paws/tail/wings)
$12.50 Bust (Upper torso)
$15.00 Fullbody (Chibi/Semi toony style)
+$2.00 for full wings/complex patterns

Please add for mailing: $2 Can, $3 U.S. and $6 international. Multiple badges to the same address only need 1 mailing fee

Pictures and samples will be made. Prices may fluctuate from shown based on the time/cost of the sample items.

Fursuit Prices
**Repairs are available for local furs at $20/hour + material costs** Times are rounded tho the nearest 1/4 hour. ($5/15mins)
Heads: $550+
Toony heads only available. Standard head is with static eyes. Complex patterns can increase the price.
-Moving jaw ~$100+
-Follow me eyes ~$50+
-Fan ~$35+
-Large horns (pair) ~$50+
-Small horns (pair) ~$10+
These prices are a general guide. Please inquire for a price based on your heads patterns, features, materials and colors.
Hands: $75+
Standard 3-4 finger toony hands with fleece, minky, fleece or vinylpaw pads.
4 fingered hoof style paws also available.
-Puffy hand paws ~50+ (comes with Puffy paw pads)

-Vinyl/Fleece/Minky claws ~35+
Armsleeves $80+
Feet $150+
Standard feet with outdoor bottoms build off of a shoe base.

-Depending on the total price being refunded, refunds may be paid over a period of time based on total price being refunded
-the started suit can will be redesigned and sold (if applicable)

But some quick things.
1! Mini jars. I unfortunately had some incidents with my last jars causing some to become defective and unusable. I do have new ones on the way for those wiling to wait. (I can still work on your artwork in the meantime.) Also any new mini jars in the future will be more expensive, so if you choose to cancel your $10 slot, you will be charged the new price later on. I will be noting everyone on the list tomorrow in case they miss this and for full confirmation.
2! Would anyone be interested in traditional badge commissions? I will be posting some YCH badges up soon, but I'd like to save up some money for something and thought this could help. I did update my prices (Some complexities and styles could also cost more), please check the commissions tab. Before I do officially open, I will be creating a T.O.S. to prevent any issues/problems arising.

I am officially opening up for 7* Jar badges. Round 1 will begin on Monday, and round 1 will begin after all of Round 1's badges are finished. FE after con report
Posted 10 years agoStill tired... But been wanting to do this!
Friday: Got to the hotel earlier this year than other years. Waiting for a hotel room was annoying but once we got into our room, felt much better. Went to the Lady Furs panel and had another fun scavenger hunt and bingo game. Half tempted to make my own scavenger hunt for next year with prizes that anyone can join. I know a lot of the guys we bothered for pictures seemed interested. Didn't stay for Femme Fatal shoot this year. Wasn't feeling the best and the lady furs panel wore me out. Also got to pick up my badge from
anyare and my convention shirt.
Saturday: Woke up at a good time and finished sewing a body suit for
atreynu. Was having some issues with the arm sleeves fitting properly but it was finished in time for the parade. Went to the Electricity 101 for fur suits panel. I wad so lost but my BF understood it so I think I'll get his help to try fans among other things. The parade was huge this year but having no photoshoot before made it a lot smoother. By the time I left the room, the beginning already came back so it was a LONG parade! Barely had to stop as well so it was very smooth. Also in the artists alley I met someone I wasn't expecting! 
cinacune was there and I mangaged to get a sketch and some buttons from her. Also got an AC:NL book and bookmark from her friend. I was going to get these things anyway but was nice to meet her in person. Super happy to hear she'll be returning next year. Also watched the Smash Tournemebt by 
o-kemono and 
WolfeThane Ididn't play but the matches were fast and furious. The medals that WolfeThane made for the winners were really cool! Made me wish I did join.
Sunday: Had everything packed in the car but decided to stay in suit untill closing ceremonies. Bought some last minute plush and watched the craziness that's the charity auction. The closing ceremonies were fun to to watch and some of the random comments and unplanned things made it all the better. Was super excited for the international GOH! I'm going to make sure I save money and visit them first on Friday next year. Also snagged the button set for next year :D
But thank you to my awesome roomies, amazing artists and all the peopl I stopped and talked with! I hope to see you all next year, and keep in touch here throughout the year! Hopefully I'll see you all next year!

Posted 10 years agoI'm hoping at FE, or the Oshawa furmeet next time I go... I can look at someone's else fursuit head. I think I'm over critical of my own work... Little things no one else will notice will bother me to end with my work... So I'm hoping to nitpick someone else's head... I won't say anything bad about it (but I want to look for the little flaws and things like my head has so I know it's okay, or it is unnoticeable)

Posted 10 years agoFreya. I've finally decided it. My fursona has always been nameless up to now or called "Kirin" but that isn't her name. Since she is me in the closest sense, I thought this nickname I have would be best. It's a family nickname that I like and is similar to my real name.
So any new badges of her will have this name!

New Project... Fish! (As in pets :D)
Posted 11 years agoFirst off, I have a fair bit of pets (2 cats and a rabbit) and am going to now have fishes. I had a fish at the beginning of the year and... it killed itself D: (Betta jumped the container)
I have done some research and feel bad since the old Betta's home was WAY too small and he had such bad conditions. But I didn't know, and ignorance is bliss I suppose. But now that I've read into this, I think I'm ready for it a second time. I've been wanting more fish for a bit so this is exciting! Also got a bigger tank that I was planning. I was going for a 3-5 gallon tank for a Betta and some live plants... Came home with a 20 Gallon tank XP No idea what's going in yet. I'll put some pictures of it in scraps though. First going o research which live plants and what fish I want and go from there. Then after the plants are in, cycle the tank for 2.5-4 weeks before adding fish. The ultimate patience test :S
But anyone experienced* with fish, I'd love some advice on plants or fish to get! The tank has LED lights so some lowlight plants recommendations would be great! Or links to good sites/articles to read up on. I'm not setting up the tank till the apartment gets a good full clean (I have something to motivate me now) so I have time to gather information together.
Unexperienced? I'd still love to talk feesh :D

Other than that, things are good I guess? I'm still having moments but I feel content I think. Maybe I don't know what "happy" is on a normal basis because of my childhood. But it just feels like things are okay. Maybe I'm just expecting more? Or just don't really understand what being happy on a normal basis is, but maybe I don't need to either?
I dunno, just thoughts... Also two suit commissions snuck in so expect to see some work over there soon. Still need to make a T.O.S and warranty :P

Life stuffs kinda
Posted 11 years agoFirst off, I'm sorry I've been distant lately and haven't been finishing things. I know that they are free, but it's no excuse for me to delay them. I know I keep saying I'm going to so them, but I will. Anyone waiting on badges, please note me if you have ANY concerns, I rather address your concerns than push them aside.
The new raffle winners will be posted Monday and I will work on sketches for them. The people who signed up for the digital chibis, I'm still getting back into the swing of things so once I start doing some better work instead of derpy doodles, I'll be sure to make you something good for waiting!
But in all honestly I just think it's depression slowing me down and all that. That or bipolar or something that I just can't explain. I'll be trying to figure it out in the meantime, maybe even suck it up and go to the doctors, but if I'm slow to reply or not on much, that's a part of it...
Also might have internet at home soon, so I'll post a journal then looking for people to chat with. At least try anyways :P I'm also introvert so we will see how that goes...
But I will try to get stuff done. I just need to push myself a little harder. I will still do the final badge raffle for October though as well as the partial raffle (more info here: www.furaffinity.net/journal/6115589/ ) After that, I don't know in the sense of being apart of this community. I don't know what I'd do without it but at the same time I don't feel like I'm a part of it. I'm just here.

Just a couple questions
Posted 11 years agoFirst off! Are all my badge WIP's annoying? Is there a better place I should be posting them to show who they're for so I don't make any mistakes? Or maybe I should only be uploading the sketch and finished badge o-o I think I might switch to that actually, unless someone getting a badge requests otherwise...
Second, raffles. I know I'm going to be doing a second one soon, but I'm hoping to get more entrants for it. Is it fair to give extra entries to people? I know some raffles have if you watch, or this or that you can get extra entries but is that really fair? What other ways is there to advertise it with A) Not spamming submissions or B) Making people do extra things for entries? I want it to be fair, so I guess it shouldn't really matter how many people enter, but at the same time, it would be nice.
Just it's you guys who get all the random submissions from me so I just rather not be annoying you guys ._.'
