How to dance? Advice please!
Posted 11 years agoSo I can't dance to save my life... But I really want to learn. It's just one of those things that I think will help me open up. I'm hoping to enter the dance comp at FE, but just the preliminaries I think... That's my goal at least. I hate perfoming/ being in front of crowds and "big" body movements so I think forcing myself away from these habits will be a good thing.
So the advice part... Where is the best place to start? I have some of the Just Dance games that I think will be a good warm up at least to get me used to the movements and mothions, but from there I'm lost. Video links would be great! How to dance videos, previous dance comps (that you think are a good example of what to do, or not to do), good songs/music to dance to, or even songs that have a specific dance like from animes or what not. Just this isn't my strong suit but it's something I've wanted to do for a while.
In a sense I'm hoping it will help me into a better person. I know it may not make sense, but to me it does... Also that's part of the reason I'm making Nova. She'll be a dance suit and complete differnt attitude than me (I'm hoping)
Also, any recomendations for a "dance" suit? I know good vision/ventalation and a good line for the head, but not to sure abourt the feet. Also, padding or not? Or of I do padding (which I kinda want to...) what is the best method to attach it?

( or at least the day we celebrate it on as neither of us remember the actual date)
It's so scary to think it's been that long. We've also lived together for about a year and a half so we are able to handle it. Also with our recent new additions, our rabbit and kitten, we are definately growing in a sense.

Who actually actively watches me?
Posted 11 years agoThere is some of you that I know do, but looking at my watchers list, it makes me wonder sometimes.
Even if you are a lurker, but are reading this, I'd love to know <3
Also for those of you who do watch, what do you want to see more of? Or less of? I feel like I spam sometimes but try to clear the clutter to my scraps... Also would more pictures of my finished suits be okay? I know some people go overboard and upload every picture of themselves at a con and don't want to be one of those people ^-^'
But seriously... What do you guys want from me? I know I should do what I want, but feedback is nice too.

I only do traditional badges right now but I will mail you the finished product after! If you feel uncomfortable giving me your full name and address, please so not trade! It only makes it more frustrating for the both of us. If you work with traditional, please mail your half! If you cannot laminate, I can do that myself. If you work with digital, a copy of it is fine and I will print/ laminate it myself. If you want to print/ mail it to me, that'd be awesome but not necessary.
I reserve the right to watermark WIP, or the finished badge until the other half is complete. I reserve the right to decline offers for any reason or ban/block people due to poor behavior, attitude or not completing their half. If something comes up that will delay your half, please let me know so that I don't feel that you are abandoning your half. I will do the same if I get delayed as well.
You need to have a proper reference sheet or 2-3 images that properly show the charcter. I reserve the right to refuse a trade if the charcter is unclear.
I also prefer to work with people with a similar level of drawing skills. I'm happy to work with people that are new as well, to a certain level. If you are unsure, please pm me with an example of your art skill level and we can talk from there.
I normally post WIP while I work. I ussualy won't contuinue untill it is "approved" as traditional is hard to fix mistakes. I don't require WIP but my characters can be tricky so if your having trouble, please ask! I much rather help you out sooner than later.

Posted 11 years agoAs I said in my last journal, I plan on doing some premades. Not exactly yet... but soon, closer to the summer. What I want to do is treat them as a commission instead. I want to be emailing and contacting someone about them. Set deadlines and follow through... I was going to get my bf to do it... but I realized that might not be the best idea cause I may slack...
So! I'm looking for "fake" commissioners. Just one to start and then I'll get someone new before I start the next one. I'll get all the details sorted out soon but I just want to put this out here to hopefully get some interest. I still need to work on a T.O.S. for both commissioning and the premades and will be working on them throughout the process.
Also I will point out I will compensate you for your time! I will either pay you (after the premade has sold) or I can maybe make you something as well. Like a easy tail or plush? These details will be discussed later...

Posted 11 years agoYes, just a blurb... I don't think I'm going to go over everything since there was so much that happened.
First off, the reaction my suit got. So many hugs and compliments! I love when people ask who made your suit and your able to yourself. Just a sense of pride that people appreciate your work. Also suited ALOT this year and loved it!
Also commissioned some artwork which I'll be submitting soon. And talked to a bunch of new people which is great for me. I can't wait for next year! The theme, hopefully a new suit or three! Not all for me of course, but hopefully some premades to get rid of some of this access fur and supplies I have.
I'm thinking of a white and pink "furry" dragon, a "sand" gryphon and a "fiery" lucky cat.
But first I have to get more foam and finish prior projects... but that's my plan for this summer.
Also I did sell my corgi suit Cassie (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10139264/) So this suit no longer belongs to me! I'm happy but sad to see her go but I want to work on new things than go back to fix old things...

I'm not making the jump due to the drama... I just love the fact that Weasyl has submission folders! As well as some other neat features as well! I plan on keeping my FA active, just letting you guys know you can find me there as well. (As well as find submissions easier...)
On a side note, I do have a youtube account, twitter ect. Just barely use them... I mostly just made the accounts to reserve my username XD

Posted 13 years agoI guess I really should fill this thing out now shouldn't I.... Had this account forever it feels but am finally going to put it to use.
About me? Hmmmm, I live outside of PortHope Ontario, work at a Timmies and am currently looking into a school program. My biggest issue is not knowing what I want to do but I have an idea now. I've been to 2 furry cons as well as Anime North the last 3 years. I sew lots of random stuff, have WAT too much fleece which I gotta make into stuffs and sell as well as a few tails and fursuits. I enjoy drawing on my free time and used to do digital art, just it's been forever since I've done any so I really need to find anew program and get back into it. Most my drawing will be sketches though and like to do gift art for people I know.
I don't take commisions of any kind (though someone managed to sneak one...)
Trades are possible though, just not at the moment...
Also can't wait for the FE Halloween party on Oct 27th. I don't get out much but this I don't wanna miss. Hope to see some other furs I know there as well.
