This lady been helping russian artists since PayPal got blocked. Recently she got scammed and lost huge amount of money. Bank scammers in Russia are very professional and trained in psychology. Many people even lawers get scammed frequently. Due to banks covering these scams and low fundings the police cant do nothing about it - I've been myself to police department with this question couple years ago.

Please dont misunderstand the situation as stupid.

that I will miss my cat so much. I left her with my parents and she's fine. But I feel so empty right now. She has some health issues and needs constant treatments and attention and this was such an important part of my life I'm very sad I've lost it. I hope I can replace this emptyness with something new, because I don't feel like to replace her and anyway having new pets or kids is not an option in any near future.

My fiance and I have been in a relationship for 8years and all this time we knew we want to move out. There always were several things we hated about the country. Most of all the neverending feeling of being indebted and chased for dissent.

This year Russia showed to the world all the true sides of itself altho they are mostly misunderstood. For most people of other countries (talking about their own decisions aside from medias opinions) and also some part of russians who are able to think- they try to see the hidden meaning behind Russia’s(the president’s) decisions because you can’t comprehend someone can be that stupid to do all this mess for nothing, but there’s no meaning- see what I mean?

And for most citizens of Russia, especially 35y.o.+ it’s a time of collapse of their entire world vision, for people who’d been deluded for years, it’s easier for them to continue to support the propaganda even if it had lost any sense, than confess they were betrayed. This concerns my and my bf’s parents who made us have a hard time making them accept we are leaving whether they want it or not. Luckily they didn’t turn their backs on us even though they continue to remind us how great Russia is and that it will conquer all lands. That’s terrifying me how fast we ended up becoming fascists.

Also I don’t want anyone to see leaving your country under these circumstances as a good thing. When we planned to move before we knew we still had a safe home with our families to come back any time and opportunities to visit different countries. There’s nothing nice about being a fugitive. Moreover, having a Russian passport you still can’t use international services blocked for russians whether you are in Russia or not.

I'll post journal about the story how we actually moved later as well. Now I'm getting back to drawing finally!

I left Russia yesterday. This wasnt planned in advance. I'll be back to work and replying right after im done with all the important stuff and get place to live in.

From my experience a great number of artists here on FA live in Russia. We all well know about current political situation and the fact that most of progressive countries demand a series of restrictions to negatively effect russian economy. If someone's interested in my opinion- I'm humble, because of the number of reasons. The only thing Im against of is war.

So all the restrictions for Russia can lead to freelancers loosing their jobs, artists included. From what I geathered of information about possible consequences being cut off of SWIFT no one can surely tell if all international transactions will be impossible or not, so we have to know this the hard way.

Moreover there's a new demand to block Russia from PayPal as well. If they decide to execute it, this won't happen immediately but it's a possibility for the near future. Thus for those who want to stay in contact with their favourite artists and support them- be sure to aware them and let them know about other online wallets available to use in Russia, it takes time to register and verify as well, some people will have to switch banks. Thats not an emergency but a plan B.

Let me know which online wallets you use and if you know more about the situation. Also I'm sorry I don't respond to everyone, I don't have quite enough mental resourses but every intelligent reply is highly appreciated.

Russian residents don't support the war against Ukraine. People didn't actually belive Putin is that crazy till the fact he declared the war. I belive if russians will speak out loud their thoughts as much as possible it will help to stop this nonsense.
