I pick the craziest of times to try something like this, don't I? Well, seeing work is also cutting my hours due to everything, it can't hurt to try, but this is something I have been planning for a long time. I want to give stories early to my supporters while giving a premium slots to people who commission me. I will note that this does NOT mean you need to be on my patreon to get a commission slot. When I open I will have four slots, and one will always be open to the public, more if not a lot of people on my patreon want to commission me when I opened.

What are the other benefits outside of early viewing of my commission stories and premium commission slots? Higher tiers get a discount on my commission prices and a free buffer if I go over budget during a commission, due to the commissioner wanting more in the commission that was possible for the length of said commission. My highest tier will be getting a sneak preview of one of my two current book projects. (My fantasy novel), and will get to be part of some of the creation process when I start working on my next novel. (Need to edit my current sets).

Also middle and high tier patreons will get cameos in commission works as the story reasonably allows.

I have two commissions possibly already, along with my in progress Novel, so I think I will take a few commissions to celebrate the fact that after nearly three years of on and off work I have finished the rough draft of my K-2003 origin novel. Current working Title "Toy Maker" I will be starting the editing stages in a few weeks but till then I want to take on some pallet cleansers to get myself going. Shoot me a note or comment below. :)

Behind on my writing but I will be working on that as I can. My work is considered essential business so almost no chance of it closing and the fact 46 cases popped up 2 minute walk from my work and its practical near 100% certainty that those 12 employees who work there in IL went to my work while infected... the chance of me being infected is extremely high. When home I isolate myself from my family. Can't get tested. So hoping for the best right now.

But I will remain productive and hopeful my family is spared, I wish the same for all of you. I will also be making it more obvious about myself being open for commissions with a queue and all.

Going to practice having 3 commissions up, as I have no current active commissions except a novel commission (and my own work). My rates are 1.5 cents per word. And my profile has a variety of what I can do, but if you unsure if I will do something ask. I will keep this up for 5 days. At the end of that, I will take three that interest me. (one of which I will reserve for someone who hasn't commissioned me before unless no one who hasn't commissioned me before requests a commission from me).

I don't make many journals, as I like to make them when they matter. Here is one of them. What's going on with me? Well I have a plan to start a patreon once I get the artwork for the banner (it's a requirement). It will be simple for now, and I will streamline/open commissions in groups of three. Where as a paetron bonus I will let patreon get dibs on the first two slots, and have the third open here. I will be hammering out tiers and such over time, but one bonus on Paetron is early viewing of my stories and the ones I am working on.

Speaking of things I am working on. My newest Fantasy Novel is working towards the final stretch toward completion. I am speaking to an editor to clean it up, and I have an artist who will work on the book cover art once the book is finalized. I would like to get it out before the end of the year but we shall see. The fantasy novel contains the normal assortment of elves, dwarfs, gnomes, humans, orcs and the like, but also a what I feel is a unique magic system, and a rather sassy kobold main character. Dragons rule the world, and what is these people to do? Better back of the book blurb to come out in the future.

So due to the fact I have to burn vacation days and Indy Furcon is only a 3hr drive for me, I decided to go there, after many years of not being there. if anyone else wants to pop in and say hi, let me know. :)

Anthrocon despite some hiccups was enjoyable.

As per a previous journal, upping my prices to 1.5 cents per word. And I am probably doing a patreon tip jar in the near future with early views on my stories by a month, to help cover some writing costs/efforts for future works. :)

I'll be heading there later than normal, Tuesday instead of my normal Monday. I'll be there till next Monday when I head home. I am normally only able to be caught with my cell phone with occasional Internet access. If anyone wants to say hi to me, let me know via note. :)

A friend who I didn't always get to talk to passed away recently. Was brought to my attention via a journal. It's always hard to lose a friend. Since his last words to me were one of wanting to get a story from me, expect him to a fitting cameo in a story that I got an approval from one of my current commissions in the future.

 Cetas I'm sorry I couldn't ask you the details for the story you wanted to get me, but you will be getting a story with you in it in the future soon. You won't be forgotten, and I know you will enjoy it in the way you would have.

I don't make many updates, but I have a few happenings.

First off, I am currently on the early editing stages of my newest book which I have mentioned a few times, a Fantasy novel that has magic, kobolds, dragons and other things. More updates on that as it comes.

Still hunting for better job and the like, but some important news when it comes to my writing.

Though I rarely open for commissions I take people who note me often enough. Starting in July (when I come back from Anthrocon), I am going to update my prices from 1.15 cents per word to 1.5 cents per word. Trying to make my commissions more economical viable for the time and effort I put into it. As I do enjoy my commissions, but it also takes away from time for my novels.

Older story sets/novels prices are set to their current rates and aren't increased.

Since I have tip jar and such, I figured it can't hurt to have this set up. Still working on commissions, my fantasy novel and the like.

In the next few months I plan to publish my second book. A fantasy novel.

Setting: Since the dawn of time, five ancient dragons have ruled the world of Isharia, each with a land they call their own. Sixty years ago an uprising in the north with the help of a powerful elven wizard at the cost of her own life managed to slay one of the ancients. Unfortunately the toppling of the other ancients didn't happen.

A second planned uprising by the elves in the dragon land of Sa'bara, led to their complete extermination in his land. Decades later three adventurers Alderin a human rogue, Dran a dwarf warrior, and Gnemi a gnome inventor infiltrate into Sa'bara's land to rescue Jesmine, an elven wizard.

But they are about to discover that rescuing her was the easy part. They must venture deeper into Sa'bara's lands to Jesmine's home which was poisoned and destroyed by the dragons during the time of extermination.

To make matters worse fate has decided to add a fifth member by the name of Histra, a kobold. Kobolds are known as the most loyal of races to the dragons and most detested by all others. With the group forced by necessity make it through? Or will they destroy themselves before their real journey will even begin?


I want a book cover that could capture this idea/setting. Anyone know anyone that might fit the bill?

So, I just graduated with a nice 3.94 GPA on my Master's degree. Next comes job hunting. So here is the thing. A lot if places in my initial searches are at a distance away from where I love. Different states. I am willing to move to improve my job prospects. So, who'd be willing to have a place for me to stay if I get a job in that area?

I am trying to see if I can expand my job options. I wouldn't even be going down unless I had the job. And I'd contact and talk to you before hand. What I like to know right now is if anyone is willing to have that chance, and if so where you are (state/city) so I can expand my job search. I'd plan not to just stay indefinitely at your place, just long enough to get the ball rolling with new job and place searching. Many thanks for your consideration.
