My dad called me and told me this. My dad had an appointment at the VA today to check on his heart and kidney. They called him in and they took his blood pressure and were shocked and told him that they were surprised how good his blood pressure was. My dad was really confused and told them that his blood pressure was always like that. They take him to the exam room and a doctor sat down with him and told him that his condition will get worse over time. He will soon lose his vision and then not be able to walk then it’ll eventually go to his brain. My dad looked at this doctor and goes, “that’s one hell of a way to tell someone they’re going to die.” The doctor then asks if he was [another man’s name]. My dad goes, “no. I’m Alden.” The doctor realized they screwed up and told him he wasn’t the patient they wanted. What happened was my dad’s and this guys social number were similar and they messed up the paperwork.

On a good note, My dad got correctly called in and his heart valve looks brand new and his kidney is doing very well! My dad needed a new heart valve six years ago and he had his kidney removed 15 years ago from cancer.

I was at my bookstore today and while I was waiting in line this guy with his wife was telling the cashier that he was a Vietnam Air Force vet and he was flying planes and dropping bombs on Vietnam. The cashier, touched by his story asked what rank he was. He said, Staff Sergeant. He also said that he bombed Vietnam with the Blackbird. with My dad is an Air Force vet (never saw combat) but he was a mechanic and I remember when I was a kid I asked him if he flew any planes. He told me no because he wasn’t an officer and you need to be an officer to fly planes. I called my dad and told him about it. He told me he was full of shit because the blackbird was used as a spy plane and you have to be an officer to fly. He said if he was there he would’ve confronted him. Unfortunately he got a discount because he claimed he lost his VA card. Scum of the Earth.

I keep getting friend requests on Snapchat from minors. They add me and out of the blue they ask me for sexy pictures and or want to talk about sexual roleplay. I wish FA and other social media had an option to block all minors from interacting with you. This one kid added me on Snapchat and lied about his age saying he was 21. I asked him to send a picture of himself and he refused. A second later he told me his mom was taking his phone away to look at his friends to see if he added any strangers on his snap. I’m 28 and it is not appropriate for any adult to talk to minors on the internet unless they are family or you know them personally. I had to get law enforcement involved twice because minors were sending inappropriate messages to me. In these situations I blame the parents for not monitoring their children on social media and other websites. It also bothers me that parents are making everyone else on the internet do the parenting for them instead of actually monitoring their kids online. Adults can get in so much trouble because minors lie about their age on these sites or they send inappropriate content to adults. In conclusion, if I suspect you’re a minor you will be instantly blocked. I never sex chat or send provocative pictures to anyone. It’s just inappropriate for me, a 28 year old, to talk to kids. End of rant.
