So, no sooner do I take my time condensing my characters...then Zae plops a new (adorable) one on me as thanks for naming his new species.
I kinda wanted a bunny thing anyways :p So no complaints here!
Fayet is the ONLY Luvalope that is an Angelic Luvalopicorn, according to Zae she is the only one who will ever exist.
She is in thanks for helping him name the species.

Talia is not really a 'sona, so much as my perception of what I would be like if I was part of the DigiWorld. So while she is me, she is not like Mao. She is how I would be if I was a member of the DigiWorld. Instead of Digivolving like a regular Digimon, she can Digivolve into her anthro form and back to feral form at will. When in feral form, she can only move around on all fours, more like a cat then a normal Gatomon.

Mao is my main 'sona, and a mix between a Snow Leopard and a Unicorn. She is as much me as I am. She has fibromyalgia, like me, so moves more slowly and can sometimes have some bad days.

Personality: Sweet and loving, but very protective of those she cares about.
About Her: She is Mao Wildmane's pet, and she is roughly the size of a medium sized parrot or squirrel. Between her tail and wings, she can sorta fly, though it's more like a sugar-glider's or flying squirrel's gliding flight then a full flight. In order to truly fly, she has to engage a bit of magic, and she can only fly like this for about five minutes. The four spikes on her head are normally soft and flexible, but when she gets protective over her friends or defensive over something, they harden and sharpen, they become like miniature knives. The outer edges of her tail fins also get very hard and sharp, turning it into a double-edged flat-dagger. When her spikes and tail are hardened, they are like diamonds, and they can cut through almost anything. Her claws are also very sharp all the time, and she has to be careful to keep them retracted.
About Her Name: Her name was the first thing that came into my mind when I saw her, per the rules of the species. I believe that 'Vissa' came from my love of the Belgariad/Mallorean series. Issa is a god in the series whose totem is a snake. But who knows.

Vrael are a species created by mekattak, and there are, to my knowledge, only two rules. The first is that you can never create your own Vrael, so any Vrael you create you may not keep. The second is that you must name it with the first word that pops into your head upon seeing it. If you want a Vrael of your own, you could ask mekattak or zaezar, though you might want to offer something in trade, they are creating a little buddy just for you. ;) As far as I know, these are the only two with permission to create Vrael.

Do's and Don'ts for Dealing With Depressed Friends (Repost)

As most of you know, I haven't been 100% well in the last week or so. I've been hitting a rough spot with my depression and anxiety. What was confusing me was that no one seemed to know how to help. Everyone told me 'if you need anything, ask!' and were genuine with their offer, but I couldn't think of anything that would help in my fucked-up state of mind. Well, now that I'm a little more stable I have a list of things that I, personally, would appreciate. I cannot speak for everyone, but after reading many of the little how-to's on the internet and realizing how fucking vague they are, I have a list that hopefully will help people understand and help people with depression.
Things to keep in mind:
1. Depression is an illness. It does not reflect the person's true thoughts. In a phrase "Feelings are liars". Don't hold what a depressed person says against them later. It will do no good.
2. Depression causes emotional, mental AND physical pain. It really does hurt. People with depression often lack energy to move or act and are often in bodily pain.
3. Depression is not usually advertised. You have to look for the signs. Many people with depression do not want others involved and will act differently but might not seek help. This does not mean you should look over them or leave them alone.
Warning signs of depression include:
*Lack of energy/motivation
*Sudden lack of interests in things that used to be very important.
*Changes in appetite or sleep
*Distancing from friends or family
4. Don't let a depressed person's mood transfer to you and don't enable it. Sympathy and comfort is different from coddling. Don't let negativity leech from your energy.
What TO DO if a friend is depressed:
1. If possible, physically go to them. Physical presence is a huge comfort because it takes the mind off of internal thoughts and feelings.
2. Show sympathy and compassion. This person is hurting and needs to not feel alone. Don't be theatrical but be kind and respectful.
3. Ask if there's something that they want to talk about. Don't pick at what YOU think the problem is. Let them talk about it and be open to what they say.
4. Gently offer a distraction. If they say no, respect that, but then ask what they want to do. Distractions like going out to dinner, watching a movie, playing a game, are good at making the depression swing less severe and seemingly take less time. Gifts, even small ones, are a good way of telling someone they're valuable to you. This is also particularly useful if you can't do #1 due to distance.
5. Show hope and enthusiasm. Smile! Smiles are contagious.
6. For both the helper and the person: Be patient. This is not a quick-fix and you both should allow each other time to cope.
What NOT to do if a friend is depressed.
1. Don't say to "get over it" or that it'll pass. A depressed person might hear that but can't feel it. Depression takes away a lot of thought regarding the future, so future happiness means nothing.
2. Don't take it lightly. Depression is serious. If a friend starts making suicidal threats or mentions self-harm persuade them to call a suicide hotline and/or call 911 yourself. Suicide is not a joke and can be prevented by good friends.
3. On the same note, don't freak out. Stay calm. If a friend mentions self-harm or suicidal thoughts, do not attack them. Be calm and persuade them to call a hotline. Panicking will not help anyone.
4. Don't analyze. The person feels bad enough without you picking at what's wrong with them or their life that might be making them feel bad. You might accidentally pluck at a thing they weren't even thinking about and make it worse!
5. Don't ignore them. Even if it means cancelling your football plans or ending another conversation to focus on the issue, don't ignore someone who is depressed. The last thing they want to feel is alone.
6. Don't say that you 'know how it feels' because you can't understand how that person really feels. Be unique with your compassion. Offer motivation and encouragement rather than 'I'm sorry'.
And Rule # ∞ : Don't assume complete responsibility for someone who is depressed. Do not take it all on yourself. Realize when it's time to let professionals take over.

As most of you know, I haven't been 100% well in the last week or so. I've been hitting a rough spot with my depression and anxiety. What was confusing me was that no one seemed to know how to help. Everyone told me 'if you need anything, ask!' and were genuine with their offer, but I couldn't think of anything that would help in my fucked-up state of mind. Well, now that I'm a little more stable I have a list of things that I, personally, would appreciate. I cannot speak for everyone, but after reading many of the little how-to's on the internet and realizing how fucking vague they are, I have a list that hopefully will help people understand and help people with depression.
Things to keep in mind:
1. Depression is an illness. It does not reflect the person's true thoughts. In a phrase "Feelings are liars". Don't hold what a depressed person says against them later. It will do no good.
2. Depression causes emotional, mental AND physical pain. It really does hurt. People with depression often lack energy to move or act and are often in bodily pain.
3. Depression is not usually advertised. You have to look for the signs. Many people with depression do not want others involved and will act differently but might not seek help. This does not mean you should look over them or leave them alone.
Warning signs of depression include:
*Lack of energy/motivation
*Sudden lack of interests in things that used to be very important.
*Changes in appetite or sleep
*Distancing from friends or family
4. Don't let a depressed person's mood transfer to you and don't enable it. Sympathy and comfort is different from coddling. Don't let negativity leech from your energy.
What TO DO if a friend is depressed:
1. If possible, physically go to them. Physical presence is a huge comfort because it takes the mind off of internal thoughts and feelings.
2. Show sympathy and compassion. This person is hurting and needs to not feel alone. Don't be theatrical but be kind and respectful.
3. Ask if there's something that they want to talk about. Don't pick at what YOU think the problem is. Let them talk about it and be open to what they say.
4. Gently offer a distraction. If they say no, respect that, but then ask what they want to do. Distractions like going out to dinner, watching a movie, playing a game, are good at making the depression swing less severe and seemingly take less time. Gifts, even small ones, are a good way of telling someone they're valuable to you. This is also particularly useful if you can't do #1 due to distance.
5. Show hope and enthusiasm. Smile! Smiles are contagious.
6. For both the helper and the person: Be patient. This is not a quick-fix and you both should allow each other time to cope.
What NOT to do if a friend is depressed.
1. Don't say to "get over it" or that it'll pass. A depressed person might hear that but can't feel it. Depression takes away a lot of thought regarding the future, so future happiness means nothing.
2. Don't take it lightly. Depression is serious. If a friend starts making suicidal threats or mentions self-harm persuade them to call a suicide hotline and/or call 911 yourself. Suicide is not a joke and can be prevented by good friends.
3. On the same note, don't freak out. Stay calm. If a friend mentions self-harm or suicidal thoughts, do not attack them. Be calm and persuade them to call a hotline. Panicking will not help anyone.
4. Don't analyze. The person feels bad enough without you picking at what's wrong with them or their life that might be making them feel bad. You might accidentally pluck at a thing they weren't even thinking about and make it worse!
5. Don't ignore them. Even if it means cancelling your football plans or ending another conversation to focus on the issue, don't ignore someone who is depressed. The last thing they want to feel is alone.
6. Don't say that you 'know how it feels' because you can't understand how that person really feels. Be unique with your compassion. Offer motivation and encouragement rather than 'I'm sorry'.
And Rule # ∞ : Don't assume complete responsibility for someone who is depressed. Do not take it all on yourself. Realize when it's time to let professionals take over.

On Artist's, & Their Appreciation (Or Lack Of It) For Their Own Art...
"Artists are very rarely happy with their work, and they almost always have someone who they deem better than them. But if the artist learns how to create art simply for the joy of creating art, they will cease worrying whether it is 'good' or not and simply learn to enjoy it. If they succeed in doing this, they will be able to enjoy all art and realize that there really is no good or bad art - there is only art from the heart and art with no soul. For anyone in truth could be taught to render a masterpiece, but if their heart and soul is not in it, it will simply just be. Even a simple's child drawing of a stick people can be called great art, for the way the art is presented does not matter, it is the story and soul behind it that does. And that is why artists must simply seek to do what they wish and not worry about how it looks. Never drastically alter an original drawing, like wiping it clean and starting totally new. If you want to change it, draw it anew. Because everything you complete is alive in some sense to someone. And it also gives you practice to draw it again, even if you just plain trace the part of the original you want and go from there. It is true what they say - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So artists, allow yourself to see the beauty in all you do, and allow it to inspire you to create more. But never scorn anything you do, for when you deprecate your art, you are only hurting yourself. Because, if it is true art, art from the heart, you are only scorning a piece of yourself. Responsibility's of a Submissive
Spend adequate time exploring yourself, your needs and desires.
Educate yourself - make the most of the resources that are available, but don't believe everything you hear or read. Trust reputable sources, but make your own mind up about what is the truth.
Learn what your needs, desires and goal are; define them adequately. Make a list.
Learn the difference between what you need and what you desire. Sometimes you cannot have both.
Learn and understand your limitations, in depth.
Learn the safety issues of all areas of your interest. Protect yourself adequately.
Remember you have the right to "ask".
Remember common sense, and use it.

I have the right to expect you to administer punishment with care and caution. I have the right to use my safewords at any point, should I feel them necessary. I have the right to get up and walk away from a scene if you have crossed the line. I have the right to expect you to respect my decisions, and not think less of me, or abandon me for them.
I have the right to speak up if I feel our relationship is not giving me what I need. I have the right to tell you what I need, in a respectful manner. I have the right to expect you to understand my reasons for doing so, and the right to expect you to listen with an open mind. I have the right to walk away from the relationship if we cannot come to a common ground on these issues.
I have the right to expect tenderness, love and understanding after a scene is completed, should it be what I desire. I have the right to ask you for that tenderness if I've had a bad day, or if I just feel the need for closeness. I understand that there will be times when you and I will disagree about this -- when you will want a scene, and I will not. I have the right to call for a talk about this, and to expect you to listen to and consider my reasonings. I expect you to have the final word, but I expect you to wholeheartedly consider my feelings, whatever they may happen to be.
I have the right to expect our relationship to progress, for trust to continually be renewed, for our souls to be as close as our bodies are. I have the right to tell you if I need more from you, and I expect you to respect my decisions about what I want and need. I expect you to want the relationship to progress, unless decided otherwise beforehand. I expect you to understand that deep trust often breeds love, and I expect you not to repel me if I tell you that I love you. For I will love you, my master, should our relationship move ahead, should our trust continue to grow.
I have the right to expect you to tell me, at any point, if you do not feel you can return those feelings, so that I may decide what I want and need. For it is your pleasure that adds to my own, makes it real. And mine, that adds to yours.

Reasoning:
This blanket contains mint and lavender scents, both of which I have proven help with my fibromyalgia. I also get very cold in the winter and I even use a blanket through most of summer. The heat helps relax my fibromyalgia, and having a blanket that I can microwave would be helpful. I do have an electric blanket, but there are sometimes when wrapping myself in fleece would be more useful/doable. I love the style and look of jeans, but I experience some difficulty when wearing them sometimes. Because of my fibromyalgia, if I sit on them, or it is too much pressure, they can even be painful.
