In search of a BODY for cloud!
General | Posted 14 years agoHello everyone! I've been having soo much fun in Cloud that I want to get him a body made! Only sucky part is, not many people out there are open for commissions right now! I've been goin through FA and livejournal doing my best to try and find every single suit maker that is OPEN for commissions and asking for quotes, however I've only received like 3 replies. So if anyone knows of a Fursuit builder that has caught your eye and is open for commissions or will be soon, please let me know!(Or if you know of a fursuit builder out there that doesn't normally advertise and knows there stuff) . The money of course isn't a huge concern as I'm looking for someone to do a good job, and most that do aren't extremely cheap. My only requirement is that they have done enough body's to know what they're doing and preferably have some picture references somewhere to see. My body does have a bit of patterning but its only 2 colors and no difficult markings on it really. Thankys for readin! *huggles*

Official Oklacon Report!
General | Posted 14 years agoWhat a blast that was! So much bigger than last year! The artist den had an extremely talented group in it that seemed to have there work cut out for them! I guess thats the price of talent (a heavier workload). But I'm sure they were payed well! The dealers area was pretty cool as well, had some super stars in it. One of which I was happy to finally get to talk to "ebonytigress". And I got a pretty spiffy commision done by mitch_dlg. Soon as i get it scanned I'll upload it. Also the panels were fun to see as well, got to see my friend crys and windpaw talk about eyes for like 10min. Then crys got mad and yelled at us for about 45 minutes.... But it was informative at least!
The nightly fire was alot of fun too! Monoyasha and ciara brought marshmallows and chocolate and gram crackers and a big pointy professional smore stick! Monoyasha did da cookin, she showed us yet one more of her talents, very few probably know but she's quite the talented marshmallow roaster! I had to eat a couple cause da dragon Ciara made me. She said no vidya games if i didn't eat my smores.
The Julie Bunny Must Die production was incredible. I knew it was supposed to be good, but it really did blow me away. The entire cast was super talented as well was the writer (Rhubarb).
The Dances were great, and omg having a cash bar at a fursuit dance = best ever!
The best part of the entire con though was getting to meet almost everyone I was hoping to run into at the con. I was soooo happy. My favorite thing in the world is meeting new people and making new friends.
I know this report is kinda scattered and extremely lacking but i was trying to do more of a recap instead of the 10 page report which I could easily do given how action packed the weekend was.
Thank you so much to everyone I talked to , scritched , got scritched by , hung out with. You all were amazing. I can't wait for Oklacon 2012, I can't imagine how it could be better but I'm sure blueotter and the crew will figure out a way to do it : )

7/11/11 Furbowl!
General | Posted 14 years agoThe first of the regular furbowls *hosted by jaredfox* went wonderfully! Something like 40 Fur's showed up and 10+ were in suit! Everyone had a ton of fun, and i learned I really SUCK at bowling! But all was not lost, as I met knew fur's and I love meeting new people. Afterwords alot of us ended up crashing Cheddars with 22 fur's. Dobie told the poor girl that we only had 6-10 showing up , we had to ruin her night with more and more. They seated 15 or so of us only to have yet another party of 7 show up at the door. God I'm happy I dont wait tables anymore. But other than the staff being a bit tired they accommodated us well. All n all it was a great night , I just wish it lasted longer! Can't wait for next month to do it all again!
Also after I get a bit of editing done I'll be posting video of the event on my Youtube as well as several pictures, so keep an eye out for those!

6/28/11 Weekend of CPFM
General | Posted 14 years agoThis weekend was spectacular! Merk and Dales CPFM *Central Plains Furmeet* went off without a hitch. 30+ showed up and everyone seemed to really have fun, even the anti-social furs were being social. The temperature was obscene but plenty of water sun screen and of course beer were on hand to battle the heat.
When the sun went down the first night we sat around a lantern talking it up , and exchanging scar stories. I think Hobbleswolf won however with his lion...or was it tiger fighting scars? I can't remember. Oki knows the story. Then after a bit o' the Kraken, we went up to a really nice hill overlooking the lake for a midnight howl. Where we ran into 3 mundanes. One was wearing a hat that in pitch black really did look like some wierd ass hair style. Oki summarized the furry condition for them, and did quite well in his inebriated state. They even agree'd to join the howl. Some of us took stance and some stood, the howling commenced and was great fun. We were prevented from doing it the next night however by request of the park ranger hehe. Apparently they had a 10pm curfew. OOPS!
On Saturday alot went swimming *we hadn't all brought suits so we had to stay dry*, we opted instead to go drive around the area and find the shooting range. Later we got back to camp and it seemed to have decent amount of interest so we all went out there. Was alotta fun , we had brought our AR-15, FN-PBR-XP .308 Sniper Rifle, the Beretta PX4 Storm , Walther SP22, the Howa .308 and a .22 Colt Marksman. Also a couple other furs brought there guns and I was able to shoot the Beretta PX4 compact which I had always wanted to try out. I think everyone got turns on everything they wanted to shoot.
That night, the feast was prepared and layed out. It was a huge spread that actually generated left-overs. There were even 3 grills going at one point. All the noms were delicious! There was chicken, brisket, hotdogs , grilled corn, ohhhh just so much grilled goodness.
That night was a bit cooler and a few were thinking of fursuiting. However firstly Keegans car had to be broken into. He locked his keys in the car and the thing had electric locks! It was a genuine logic puzzle. Using the keypad he could open the trunk but it was refusing to pop open his doorlocks. After trying exaustively to get the handle of the door to pop open using a combination of 1 spotter with a flashlight, 1 door pryer with screw driver, and 1 hanger handler to actually get the handle, we had Hobbleswolf try and go in through the hatch in the trunk only to find out that the seats don't fold down unless the release switch is hit inside the backseat. So we ended up, prying open the back door slightly, while pushing the coat hanger through, hitting the lever in the backseat, so that Hobbleswolf could make it through the trunk *which opened from the keypad* and push down the seat while the lever was being depressed, and voila the car was ferreted into! No car is safe from these furry critters haha! Anywho, we have pictures I'll be uploading soon as I get them off our camera of hobbleswolf wiggling through the backseat to open up the car.
But after all that , Keegan put on Rusty the Fox, Patdog put on Scout the Husky, Hobbeswolf borrowed Cascade and Drago put on Speedrave. Doing a Mini Parade around the grounds, we ended up at Oki Doki's tent. As we were hanging out some mundanes drove up in a golf cart with a couple kids. Everyone walked over, and Rusty jumped aboard hoping to get adopted, the kids were all for it, but i think the adults were a bit worried about caring for a 6 foot fox. The parents really did love it, hobbles in Cascade and Keegan in Rusty took a bunch of pics with the kids, and then they were off. Hopefully next year it'll be a bit cooler so that more suiting can be done.
The weekend seemed to come to an end too soon. We were considering doing pride in Wichita but it was supposed to be 115, and decided to skip it. We had a warm farewell from everyone with hugs n scritches abound.
We can't wait till next year to do it all again.
*Huggles*Merkindesr and DaleFox for the great furmeet!

6/23/11 Party maybe?
General | Posted 14 years agoWell apparently we got hit by a tornado, a tiny tiny thing when thinking of a tornado. It pulled tree's out of the ground, pulled off roof's , destroyed our kennel. And relocated a few cars, but nothing too crazy. The nutty part of it, was there were no sirens, or warnings. However tons of people saw it. When i put my last journal entry in, I had thought everyone got hit like that lol. I had no idea a twister landed. Got our hopes up for disaster relief moneys, but course when its just your street that got blowed up they don't really pay for anything lol.
But all is good now, most of the moving is over, now we just gotta unbox and put everything up. Which shouldn't take too long with a full time house fox on the job!
After we get that all done or mostly done. We're thinkin of having a housewarming furfest meet thingy. We haz a GIANT backyard and a biggo kitchen and a biggo grill. Just gotta figure out the date n time. We're thinking the end of July most likely, probably on a Sunday. Any thoughts or suggestions on the matter are very welcome hehe.

6/15/11 GIANT BALLS OF ICY DEATH!!!
General | Posted 14 years agoHOLY CRAP! RAPTURE RAPTURE! Or well maybe no rapture, but still nutty weather. Hobbles and I were at our new place taking some stuff over when it started to rain a bit, all of a sudden out of no where we here wind whistling over the house and then a few plink plink's, then alot of plink plink's, then it was like a sandblast of river rocks. We thought a tornado was gonna land, but there was no siren. So we go look out front and the fuckin yard is white'd out with hail. We kept thinking it was over but it just kept getting worse and worse, there was a fricken ice-flow goin down our street! An iceflow down a norman street in June! I mean...if thats not a sign of the apocalypse I don't know what is.
So far our new house is pretty much in tact, minus a few shingles and a fence panel. However our old house was crazy looking when we got back to it. Soon as we turned onto our street it was like a scene from Twister. There were multiple down'd powerlines, more than half of the tree's on our street were now in the road, 12"+ water flowing down the street. We were zig zagging passed down powerlines and tree's when we started getting close to our house and our GIANT oak tree that was in our yard was literally IN OUR YARD! I thought my little miata was squished but luckily hobbles parked it close enough to the house. When we pulled up on the house I suddenly thought "OH god zora and suger!" (my furry children that live in the yard). I ran back yelling there names, and I saw the kennel we built for them. It was completely caved in and mangled like a car had slammed into it. But thankfully they came running over okay. course they were totally freaked out and there hair was all standing on end like they had gone through a monsoon of giant ice balls.
So..minus a kennel, our yard, a twin bed that was on our porch to be moved and a fence panel and a few shingles. I think we made it out okay. The east side of norman is a straight up disaster area now though, so driving through it is a bit dodgy.
I got quite a bit of video and I'll be posting it up to my youtube soon as i get it off my phone and tons of pics I'll upload them sometime tonight or tomorrow.
*wrings out tail* gonna take ages for my fur to dry out...
So far our new house is pretty much in tact, minus a few shingles and a fence panel. However our old house was crazy looking when we got back to it. Soon as we turned onto our street it was like a scene from Twister. General | Posted 14 years agoYay! Big thanks to Hazard , Blitzer and Patdog! Our house is almost completely moved. They got done in a few hours what woulda taken us days! Not to mention moving a couch that weighed like it had a piano hidden in it. Afterwords we ended up going to Ihop with Kuusa and Drazil, had a great time. However the waitress seemed to be pissed that people were there and wanting to eat.
*Big fox hugs to you guys* Hope to hang out again soon!

General | Posted 14 years agoWell, I haven't done an entry in a while so I might as well! Went to go to see X-Men First Class today, was a pretty good movie. I'm definitely a huge fan of James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender after that. Both played very compelling roles. The only real downfall if there would be one for the movie was all the good scenes were already covered in the trailers. I really hate it when movies do that. That and they turned Azazel into a simple lackey taking orders (which was...just weird) . I mean he's one of the uber scarey bad-ass's in the marvel universe. But oh wells, the movies do stray quite a bit with superhero scripts, so no reason to nit pick em really if you want to enjoy them.
Other than that, hobbleswolf and I are now on the hunt for a new place to rent. Our 740sq ft crawl space of a house is starting to give us leg cramps. Need some stretching room hehe. Well , I guess thats it for now!

General | Posted 14 years agoSo for all the experimental cooks out there, a word of caution... 1 box of "Thai Kitchen Pad Thai" is enough for 2 people. We tried 3 boxes and well, dear god thats A LOT of pad thai, i guess on there label when it says 2 servings, it isn't like on the side of a can of soup. It is really 2 people servings! So 2x3 boxes, was 6 servings! I'm not sure the exact metric weight of it when we finished, but it FILLED the ENTIRE WOK! Talk about hard to mix! Not to mention the 14oz of Shrimp and 3 scrambled eggs we added to it, luckily they were out of bean sprouts or the monster woulda overflowed! We named the finished creature EPIC PAD THAI! Woulda youtubed it but my kitchen is soooo totally destroyed. Maybe we'll youtube the next stupidly large creation.
OH and a side note its saturday again!, which means the fun furry denny's meet. Hope lots show up like last time. I swear we had like 30 furs in there back room, 4 of which were in suit. It really was a blast, and a great break for the week for just silly randomness!
