I'm taking general non-specific requests on something to draw in the Livestream sketch session that will happen a few hours from now.

Seems like I'm doing an inordinate amount of sketching while at a Starbucks these days. That's why you've been seeing me post tons more sketches with that sketchbook.

I'd like to work up the will to go back and properly digitally ink my friends sketch series (haven't posted on FA, it's a surprise.) cause I have some really nice sketches that deserve the full color treatment.

Spent 2 days wandering around a giant hangar filled with Xbox 360s demoing Modern Warfare 3.

Day 1

Tried ziplining. That was fun! It wasn't scary launching from the platform, it was actually a lot of fun watching the landscape zoom by, it got scarey when you realize how fast you were heading for the wall/terminal with no way of slowing down.

Thankfully they had a remote brake and the person monitoring activated it so you didn't wind up with zipline bird pancake.

Day 2

Tried to wait 4 hours in line for a Jeep of Duty ride, but the line was so long they closed up shop. The person in charge of that section told us to leave our info with a promise to make it up to us. Will see what goodies I get. o.o

The closing concert by Kanye West wasn't half bad. Didn't get access to the open bar though. Doh.

Overall I had a ton of fun and parties like a party bird.

I accidentally turned my room into a mini rave.

Wanted to buy a small black light to charge the glowing crystal necklace I bought. Well, I don't have a lamp (so need more than just a black lightbulb) and the smallest sized blacklight that isn't battery powered was 18". They had a buy 1 get 1 50% off.... long story short I now have TWO 18" blacklights in my room.

There is a rave tonight at my nest!

I have so many things I want to work on art wise there simply isn't enough time. And I'm maxing out on vacation time so it's not like I can't take a week off work to well come to think of it.... work, but on art.

Course, it's not as simple as I magically have 40 hours devoted to art if I take a week off work. I always get distracted and wind up goofing off on my computer. Blargh.

Wow. It finally dawned on me that my extensive Copic marker collection does not have orange at all. None. I have all the different types of greys under the sun, yellow, red, brown, green, blue, purple. NO ORANGE. How I managed to get by for so long without noticing the lack of orange.....

In other news, I can finally stop using reddish brown/tan/light brown/yellow for foxes now. :P

Am I the only one making beer decisions based on how 'furry' the name sounds? I've tried Eye of the Hawk and now Red Tail because they have birds on them.

I also have tried Wild Range cause it has a wolf as their logo. o.o

I will be fairly late to this month's PS meet (after 7pm) due to work. Hosting live events is exhausting. x.x

Seems my art has been steadily improving over the years and is finally good enough to where I feel safe to start using my Chinese jade stamp to mark my pieces. I don't draw much but the act of thinking about drawing and art seems to still work for me.

I can see Google+ a disaster already brewing in trying to keep my furry and professional/work friends seperate. X.x

There has to be a better way to keep in touch with both groups without a second set of social media accounts. Between Twitter, Facebook, and if this takes off Google+, 6 sets of accounts to keep track of (Don't forget FA!) is overkill.

Don't get me started on the half dozen IM/messaging programs......

Read all my previous journal entries for fun and had a "did I really write/sound like that?" moment.

My posting 'voice' seems to be on the upbeat side. Good news is I didn't find any journals that I regretted posting. It is rather telling how much of my non-furry RL info leaked out from the edges of my travel posts.

What do you guys think I 'sound' like in my journals? Crazy? Intelligent? Spazy? Like a bird?

Cripes. Why did I ever try this. Conservatively speaking I'm looking at least a good 4-6 months of 'training' before I can consider creeping out of the newbie sectors. Griefing and scams are not only allowed but given the thumbs up from the company that designed the game.

If I wanted fun and action without spending months grinding ISK/money to buy ship that'll get blown up in an engagement I can play any of a half dozen games I still haven't finished (in fact some have been bought but never even been installed or barely had time to try the tutorial). If I want to socialize I'd use Second Life (there is enough griefing there if I want that too).

So pray tell, why am I subjecting myself to this exercise in designing my own spreadsheets and equipment tables in hopes of making sense from what really should have been built into the game in the first place. That's not hardcore, it's just bad design, especially the UI.

Ow, tired bird is tired. 2 conventions in 1 week means I'm going to be laying low for a bit...after going to one more furmeet at the PS this weekend.

Still couldn't win one of those really nice white wolf hats from Nexon, or a giant HD TV from Onlive lol.

Bird is mush at the moment. Will try to be more coherient when I'm rested.

Hello from E3!

Spent most of the day at South hall.

Waited in line for 2 hours to try out The Old Republic. Chatted it up with a QA guy from Activision and a student. Got a sith t-shirt and jedi baseball cap.

Chilled at the Disney booth with free Kona coffee and tried Disney Universe. Got a sweet eco friendly bag.

Tried Dragon Nest at Nexon, got a Dragon Nest t-shirt but didn't win the raffle. I really want that white wolf cap. :(

Watched the Call of Duty Elite edition promo video at the Activision booth.

The Square Enix booth was neat, and looked over Deus Ex, Dead Island, why are they making FF13X2?!?!

There was a display for Lord of the Rings: War of the North.

Went to a small afterparty hosted by the Louisana state government to promote video game companies to set up shop in the state. Free party food and alcohol. \o/!

Bird will be at E3.
