Helloooo everyone. Commission stuff is pretty much finished, I just have to get some stuff set up and running before I can officially open them. So I'm shifting focus a bit here.

I'm currently participating in artfight.
I've never done artfight before, so I'm trying it this year. It's pretty cool so far and I've found some characters that really fit my taste and style that I'm excited to try drawing!

A few days ago I favorited some art that clearly stated my opinion on the recent protests and the very long standing issue of racism in the US.
This very quickly caused some followers to make a break for it.
Looking back on it? I don't regret it at all.
No, I am not willing to have a discussion on it.

I am black, a woman, and also gay. If you have a problem with any of those, please do feel free to click that unwatch button, or click away.
Racists, homophobes, transphobes and the like do not deserve to see my art, so I'm glad that some people have (and will) take that upon theirselves.

Other than that, stay safe and wear a mask if you must go out!

Hello everyone. Thanks again for all your kind words, on my last journal and on my artwork! I've been feeling really encouraged.

I will soon be starting commissions up again, for the first time in years. That said, if you followed me for requests, please know that I don't really do requests often at all. They are usually reserved for friends, as my schedule is already quite busy! If you're just sticking around to see my art, that is still appreciated, of course. Enjoy your stay!

With that aside, I will be doing commissions again soon. I hope to have everything set up by the end of this month, but we will see.
I am putting together a carrd to showcase all my commission examples and prices. I have improved tremendously whilst I was away! So my prices have changed in accordance to that. I'm still deciding how to price them, so don't be afraid to suggest different prices.

Hello and thank you to all my new watchers and visitors.

It's been a long long time, as you can see from my last post... almost 3 years. I've been through hell and back fighting through the worst of my depression. It completely eliminated my will to draw.
But in that time I surrounded myself with amazing people who got me through my darkest days. I finished college, got my Bachelor's in Studio Art and have a well-paying, fulltime job. If all goes well, I should be moved into my own property by this month of next year...

I have gotten so far and I'm feeling the support of the community as well. Posting my art again has been strange, I find it hard to believe that I didn't post art for some years. It felt like just yesterday when I closed SAI and couldn't push myself to finish a perfectly good drawing whose lineart I had almost completed.

We're in the midst of a terrible year, but I'm doing my best to make the most of it. I will soon be finalizing my commission prices and getting back into drawing lots again. Not as much as before, I'd guess, but more than the last 3 years!

So, thank you all again for your watches, likes, comments, and such. I look forward to chatting with a lot of you!

Hey everyone. It's been a while. It feels bad having to cancel older, more involved commissions, but I always want something to draw. This semester is lacking and I've got lots of free time (or at least, it feels like I do). I'd love to do some sketch comms. I'll see how much interest there is (if any) and cut it off if need be. This was probably already obvious, but I need to make an official announcement. Luckily I do not owe anyone money back or anything else of the like. I may do sketch commissions because my head doesn't seem to have a problem concentrating on that. Maybe I'll even try my luck with adoptables, see if I can get more interested in that. But full images I have not done for at least a year now. Illness is so bad I can't even do schoolwork, again. Can't even fail a test without wanting to end everything. But I try.

Thanks to everyone for being so polite and patient, but I really can't deal with things anymore. I'll post random drawings here but to start making full images again, I'll need a psychiatrist. And I can't tell when I'll ever have that.

It's probably pretty obvious now, but I haven't made much progress on my comm work, because in the middle of summer I fell into another depressive episode. This one's particularly bad because honestly, I can't draw for shit this time around.. my drawings come out fine, but my attention span is a whole other story. I already know I have some form of depression but I'm starting to question that I have an attention disorder as well. It sort of goes hand in hand.
Anyway, this is why I don't ask for payments up front. My health has been pretty unpredictable for a while now and I apologize... Even then I've failed to deliver one commission that has been paid already, and I may be restarting that one, because I honestly think it could look better. Today, though, I want to see if I can get myself back into working again. Remember all commissioners are welcome to cancel their commissions, and commissioners who do not reply to my suggestions regarding their older requests will have their requests removed from the waitlist after a couple of weeks.

But most importantly, thank you all for being so patient with me. I just hope that some day I can get back to how I used to be, finishing whole images within a week and such (even if I were working at full speed, it would take a lot of time to finish one picture!!)

Thank you all for being so very patient with me! I'm still having difficulty with my mental health, but since uni has ended for the summer, I've been getting a lot better and more into my artwork. I'm still finishing up commissions really. In the past few months I've been off FA, I traveled overseas and back, relapsed several times, and I've been diagnosed with depression. In other words my life feels completely taken over. It's very hard to work but if I start to feel better I'll try and pick up more commissions. I can tell most of my followers here don't really find much of an interest in me or anything though, but really, this is all I ask of you all to understand.

Also please do not ask for free artwork outside of this request I am doing (unless I specify that I'm doing another request). So in short, there seem to be quite a few people who would like to commission me, however, they will be closed for a while and thus I am unable to add them to the queue. With that said I've come up with a new little idea, for those who have been waiting to commission me but were unable to get a slot before my commissions had closed. At the moment, my commissions are closed and will be closed through the end of this year until early January. Those who are on the commission waitlist will have their work done first once I open commissions again. I will not be opening commissions until I finish up my current Progress list.

Hello all! I hope you're all having a good school year... or maybe just a good fall season.
As for me, I've been very stressed ever since I got on campus. In fact it feels like things are getting worse than last year, when I was all alone with my parents. In short, 12th grade was a good year, but compared to the rest of my school life it was absolutely awful. I was left alone with my parents after living with siblings for more than 16 years, so I had a sort of attitude change and became very sensitive. I've been struggling with suicidal feelings since middle school and since then they've only gotten worse; just very slowly. I guess 12th grade was the peak because I didn't need to hide my feelings from anyone but my parents. But in short it seems to be that I'm just curling right back into that mood. That said, this is also my first year at college and it really takes some getting used to. Feeling upset all the time really takes a lot out of me and thus makes it difficult for me to concentrate, even on artwork. Besides that I don't have much to say to my commissioners, I just want you all to know that I'm very grateful for their orders, comments and the like. I do intend to finish these before the end of the year, and it shouldn't actually take that long really, it's just this stress rolling all over me that's making me slow down.

I also want to point out that you can cancel a commission any time before payment (thus why I don't ask for payment until I start!)
