Alright so one of my friends makes these cute adopts right? I told her she should sell the base line arts and get some extra cash. Their cute little chibi animals right so like literally 3-6USD is what she is charging. Like little cute goats and foxes and cat bases right super simple doodles for her that she uses once or twice for adopts and then doesn't use them again. ANYWAY so she posts this doodle and a few of her friends myself included were like "hey offer this as paid base we want it" So she does and a few of us buy it and she posts it here on FA.
I kid you F#$@ing not the second or third comment is "Why do you never offer any of these bases for free? I hope you do a free one soon :'( " The base had 3 tail options a full body feral chibi and ear option for 6$... So.. I like commented to them like "Hey I know you probably meant it lightly but Artists need to be paid, they have families and bills to pay. Think about that sometimes <3"
Go to their freaking profile page... its mostly colored bases of their OC a few I've purchased myself for like 10-15$ dollars so 6$ should not be the big issue here. Secondly... at the top of their page is a list of "Dislikes" and I kid you F#$@ing not its literally : " Dislikes: - being left out from receiving any OC artworks - art raffles (cause I never win in any of them) not getting picked for art drawings - artists not wanting to draw my OCs - artists/colorists who doesn't want to color/draw my OCs" And the kicker.... "Bullies"
Yet here they are BULLYING an artist.. because they are asking to be PAID for their hard work.. so that someone else can USE those lines for their own adopts/commissions.
So... I'm sure this person is probably young, they maybe don't realize what the harm is in doing or saying these things... But let me give you a gentle reality check. WE ARTISTS DO NOT OWE YOU OUR TIME, OUR ART, OUR SERVICES, OUR GOD DAMN NICETIES to people / children who think the world revolves around them. You want something for free. Ok sure, I don't see the harm in asking "Hey do you do any requests or do you have any bases that are free to use?" If the answer is yes? AWESOME get yourself some freebies! If the answer is NO? REFUCKINGSPECT that answer! Don't F#%@ing whine and moan about how "No one ever does anything for free, No one ever picks your character for freebies, You NEVER EVER win Raffles!"

✩Moving to New Account in Future!✩
Posted 4 years agoHey everyone! So I have decided it is time for a fresh start. I am going to be shifting over to a new account, so all new artwork will be posted there . I will post cropped versions here with link to the image on the new account for a while until I'm sure everyone has at least had a chance to notice I'm moving to this new account. I will also be working to be more active and engaged on the new account and looking for collab partners and trades! I am also working on revamping my discord server so it is more engaging and fun. Posted 5 years agoHey! So whirlwind of things have happened the last few months. I moved into a house, its beautiful and wonderful, I got a job, lost it due to CoVid-19 and just recently got another position as a dog trainer apprentice. I'm focusing a lot on making that my career path. I have been doing some art mostly just sketches with my Ipad. I have yet to unpack and use my art tablet as I don't have anywhere to really set up right now. For the foreseeable future I don't plan on taking any commissions. I'll be focusing on doing art for myself and improving my skills. I may post some adopts here and there. Posted 5 years agoFirst and foremost, I do not plan on taking many if any commissions in 2020. I plan on spending most of this year working on personal art, improving my skill level and maybe some character designs. Mostly I plan on pursuing my passion outside of art, which is dog training. I'm currently waiting to hear back from an interview. This year my husband and I are also planning on moving into a new house, so that means a lot of cleaning, de-cluttering, and setting out our condo to be viewed by a bunch of strangers! Mostly I think I'll be working on improving my personal life in general, health, physical and mental and trying to get my foot into my future dog training career path. Posted 6 years agoHey guys! (for the short version see the TLDR at the bottom!)
So I wanted to kinda have a week to get my barings. Many of you know I started working as a trainer at the doggy daycare center I work and I was working to get my dog trainer certification through Animal Behavioral College. Well, last week I was told that I was being pulled off of training dogs at work by the manager well since she didn't really have the answer or reasons as to why I sent a rather professional message to my boss who had been overseeing my work as a trainer. I didn't hear back from her and then the following morning my manager called me in for a meeting prior to my work shift that evening. I was then let go. I was told because I was no longer doing training and that I was only part-time at the daycare that they didn't need me so they were letting me go. I later found out that the owner basically just didn't want to pay me as a trainer because there wasn't enough business and when I asked why she didn't like it and wanted me gone. This last week I spent basically recovering from the shock of having my job as a trainer pulled out from under me and then once I landed on my ass having my job taken from me altogether and kicked in the face lol.
So for right now, I'm finishing my certificate, which should be done completely by October. My amazing husband 
has a wonderful job and is able to easily support us through the next several months. This means I don't need to actively look for a job until closer to the end of the year. THIS MEANS I CAN DO MORE ART! So I'm going to be shaking off the rust from my tablet pen and art abilities!
I am hoping to start offering some weekly sketch slots (10 or so slots) and maybe a weekday and weekend day stream for sketches and doodles! I also plan to get some adopts out and possibly re-organize my folders and such.
TLDR; Got Fired from being the Trainer at the doggy daycare, then fired from the daycare for asking the Owner why lol. Going to be completing my dog trainer certificate around October! I have lots more time for art so expect to see some sketch slots opening, adopts, and sketch/doodle commission streams!

Posted 6 years agoI love art. I love doodling and drawing and making people happy. I also LOVE my job, working with animals has been my calling since I could crawl. I took a giant leap in getting into this dog trainer program and I feel like I'm just... not putting effort into what I should.... I wanted to try drawing every day so that I didn't lose my touch in it and I thought I could keep up. However we are starting our training program at work this weekend and I'll be shadowing the current trainer along with school and exams... None of this includes trying to spend time with my amazing supportive husband and taking care of our amazing dog Rayne and cuddle bug cat Jack or any family... don't even get me started on the mile long list of house chores and shopping.... Lastly and probably the thing I should be most focus on is my health, physically and mentally.
I'm honestly sad to say but I will be scrapping my 365 art idea... any art that I do will be random and mostly for myself or gifts for friends.
I will complete the trade I owe with my friend and the one silly doodle commission tomorrow but I just won't have the time I wish I did to devote to art. Not while I have so much else going on...
I'm sorry for being a disappointment guys. Experimental 365 (LEAVE ME YOUR CHARACTERS!)

I have school and work but I honestly miss just sitting down putting on some music and doodling. I figured I could and should devote at least an hour a day to sketch and draw. Posted 6 years agoFirst off. I OWE 3 things and I will be working hard to finish them and will be in touch with the individuals via discord or other means.
That being said, Some of you may know that I have been working with animals for about 6 years, and this last 6 months I've been working for a doggy day care. Well I have gotten an incredible opportunity to go to Animal behavior College and get a dog trainer certificate. This has been moving very quickly this last week and as of last night I am officially enrolled. I am just waiting for my books and materials to be shipped and then I have 6 months to complete my schooling and graduate. I also will continue to work my part time job as well as shadow the current dog trainer at my job. This will leave very little if ANY time for me to draw.
What time I will have will be devoted to completing the 3 works of art I owe currently and probably sketches for myself. I MAY throw out some adopts/ or in stream sketches so you can keep an eye out for those. However because of this I won't be online here much aside from just checking in and clearing out submissions/journals and such.
