Price Changes! (Mar 28 2021)
Posted 4 years agoHey guys! WarModeReo and I have taken the day to organize our commission information. Since we let go of Patreon at the beginning of the month, we hadn't changed our info pages xD
So the patchnotes are:
- Patreon removed from our links
- All links moved to a linktree page
- Price changes*
- Updated ToS (March 9)
*Price Changes
Due to the IMMEDIATE influx of orders we get every time we open, as well as quality increase, we've decided to raise our prices. Not gonna lie, price changes scare me a bit but we feel good about this! Our new prices have been updated in our Commission info and Sketch Stream Info pages, linked at our linktr.ee here. Ref sheets will remain the same price!
We've decided to start pulling away from FA as our main hub, focusing more on our discord server and twitter. Notifications and uploads will still be posted here on FA, so no worries! We're considering upgrading our highest tier on our subscribestar to receive an earlier chance at our weekly commissions (Sundays, not streamed). Maybe 2 or 3 slots. What do you think?

Going to Stop Using Patreon in March
Posted 5 years agoHey guys! As we're forever on the search for the smoothest method of transactions with you guys, the trial period of only taking commissions via Patreon is over. Starting in March, we're going back to taking public commissions and ref sheets. We're trying to set it so that all our commissions have no longer than a two week turnover. We will be shutting down the Patreon altogether.
Public Commissions
For a while now, we've been taking commissions via our Enthusiastic Tier. It worked for a while, but it isolates a good chunk of viable commissioners. Since Patreon will eventually change to anniversary style commissions, our setup will no longer work. Starting at the beginning of March (Second Sunday), we'll be accepting commissions to the public much in the way we take sketch commissions. We'll take no more than 3 per week (every week except the first). Some of you will appreciate the simplification, I'm sure!
Reference Sheets
Just as commissions are going public again, so are ref sheets! We will also have a scheduled opening every first Sunday of the month. They'll replace the public commissions slot every first Sunday of the month. We'll adjust our commission information pages to keep all the information together for ease of access.
Where you can replace your overall Support
For those who were in our patreon purely for the support, we still have a SubscribeStar account! You can subscribe there at $5, $10 and $15 increments.
Five Dollars will get you:
- Exclusive Access to our comic (Wetwork) months before it's released publically, as well as any extra personal work we put out.
Ten Dollars will get you:
- All Five Dollar Tier Benefits
- Early access (up to 3 slots) to our weekly sketch stream forms. (30 minutes early - 9:30amEST)
Fifteen Dollars will get you:
- All Five and Ten Dollar Tier Benefits
- Exclusive access to Art Timelapses. (From Commissions and sometimes personal work!)
Thank you all for listening and working with our experimental methods xD

No Sketch Stream Today (Nov 27)
Posted 5 years agoHey guys, there won't be a sketch stream today. We'll start back up tomorrow though!Subscribestar Benefit!
Posted 5 years agoSo, updates fam! Gotta lot of ideas rolling out this year. I mean, SOMETHING good has to come out of 2020, right? Right. Not too many people know that we've got a Subscribestar rolling and we're testing a lot of new content there, including comic ideas coming together. It's really small at the moment so we've put together a nice little incentive to turn a few eyes in that direction.
A lot of voices have spoken and we have listened: people want to reserve our sketch commissions early in order to beat the traffic. And I think we have a way to offer just that! For $5 bucks a month, you'll gain access to not only my personal and often NSFW rated personal content, but a comic in the works put together by the talented
kikokitty who honestly needs no introduction (but definitely deserves one).
But wait, there's more!
If you're a member of our SS Community, you'll get the chance for early-access to our sketch stream forms as a friendly little 'thank you' from us to you. The offer is only open to the first three slots, so the public still has a chance! Just a head's up, this rolls out TWO-MORE-ROW. That's right, fam. Tomorrow.HUGE ART DUMP COMING
Posted 5 years agoHey guys lol.. HUGE art dump happening. 48 Submissions queued right now ;; Here we go!!
Changes in 2020 (July and On)
Posted 5 years agoSo, guys, it's with a heavy heart that we bring you some news that a lot of you may not want to hear. On the opposite end, some of you will love it. I won't BS and be blunt: we're pay-walling. There are a few reasons for this. The first of them is that we really want to break away from doing weekly commissions. They can back up from time to time due to complexities, very picky commissioners (no offense, given the volume we take it's just impossible to deal with micromanaging every detail), and trying to keep up very quick turnaround time. There will be more on that last part further down.
This is not to say that we'll be canceling commissions altogether, but we WILL be reducing the number of slots accepted down to three a week. On top of that, we're going to shift our focus to weekly sketch stream commissions like we used to do back in the day as well as getting back to YCH's which allows us a bit more flexibility when it comes to our creative juices. I know some of you really get frustrated with YCHs and we are sorry, but we gotta do what we gotta do to keep away from full and total burn-out from time to time. The sketch streams will not be pay-walled, so no worries there! We promise monthly patreon freebie sketches in our tiers (unfortunately we've been pretty slacking on that front), but with this new schedule going, they're back in business! Patrons will have ONE Patreon-exclusive stream per month, so look out on Patreon for those.
Now, I mentioned paywalling up above so here's the part about that. Our weekly commissions will be held through our Patreon--that's how you get slots. Now before we inhale and wait for the collective groan, try to understand that we need to pay bills without being enslaved to weekly commissions. I dunno about you, but I think I'm one of the few artists to feature a track record of weekly turnarounds. That's been slowed as of late and that worries us both, M and I. Given that I work very quickly with much more attention to small details--a lot since 2018 and earlier--I think this justifies being able to do this. Now, here's the thing. We offer discounts to Patreon so signing up virtually means you're just giving us a downpayment on commissions you get from us. We don't really benefit much from the people who sign up solely for a commission then leave. The goal, however, is to find those who may consider monthly support of us. If not, no love lost! See you whenever you decide to come back for more! XD
Lastly, the final bit of news that might bring a second advent of the collective groans. We're upping our prices. Now, I know that my distinct style may appeal to a lot of you--thank you all for that--however, my quality has increased over the years. I work at a larger scale to get miniscule details down with a smaller brush, utilize much more elaborate texturing for pieces, and my anatomy has improved as well as my understanding of compositions as a whole. Sadly for some, the time has simply come for me. I don't like upping my prices and seeing people go, but it is what it is. A bitch gotta eat.
We'll be changing up our schedule this week and implementing all the new changes this week so weekly commissions will be suspended while we do that and try to work down our backlog we owe. I thank you all for your understanding in all this and hope you'll continue to consider us for your commissioning needs!
Sincerely, KittyDee and M.

No Commissions This Week
Posted 5 years agoHey guys, we're gonna skip out this week for commissions. We'll be doing a sketch stream later in the week (maybe 2!) though so look out for that!
Refs Filled! (Thank you!)
Posted 5 years agoHello Lovelies!
Both MXXXIII and I wanted to thank everyone for being so accepting of all the changes we've been making lately. We can be a little unorthodox at times, but your patronage (patreon and not!) is greatly appreciated. ;u;
The ref sheet slots filled up this morning, so we won't be releasing the ref sheet form outside of patreon for the month of April. Thank you so much!!!Ref Sheet Commission Changes and Subscribestar!
Posted 5 years agoHey guys! So since we usually get an overwhelmingly large amount of ref sheet orders, we decided to change how we accept them. The main reason for it is to curb down on the number we get so we don't end up having to turn 10+ people down every month who've been waiting (possibly for more months). So we're going to start doing things this way.
To secure a spot for next month's ref sheets, we have a tier on our Patreon set for four people. These four people will be guaranteed a ref sheet slot per month.
Q. But why is it $40???
A. The tier also comes with a 15% discount, so the $40 ends up acting as a down payment. For instance, if you get a ref sheet with four headshots, an outfit, and 3 props (all at base price), your quote would come to:
$100 - Base
$80 - Headshots (4)
$15 - Outfit
$45 - Props (3)
$240 - Total
-15% - Patreon -- With this tier, you'd receive 15% off.
$204 - Final Total.
So the discount you received basically covers the down payment. I hope that makes sense!
Q. If I sign up before the first of the month (to secure my spot), will I be charged twice? If so, will I be refunded?
A. Yes, you will be charged twice. However, we will not be refunding patreon pledges. Yes, you will get your reference sheet slot for the following month, but a late pledge results as support for our art. Please make sure you've read the rules before you sign up!
Also! We've launched a Subscribestar.adult page! It'll be where a lot of personal pieces that rarely get uploaded here will be. As a whole, there's not a lot of dedication on my part to personal pieces. ;; Sometimes I feel like I could be better spending that time working than drawing something personal, more of a tangible benefit. But! MXXXIII explained to me that personal art is what showcases an artist's own self. And.. to help me justify taking the time off to draw, I need to literally buy my free time. So here's a subscribe star! The two crowdfunding sites will work together, depending on how you want to support!

Subscribestar + PatreonTechnical Difficulties: Update!
Posted 5 years agoHey guys! So unfortunately, after having my hard drive analyzed, all my commissions from the past 2 years are too damaged to repair. I do have a new hard drive though, and it's backed up to a cloud space this time. lmao I think I just assumed that I was fine since the drive I had was barely a year old lol
But yeah, measures have been taken, a lot of my files were able to be recovered and we're back to doing our normal thing!
Also, I'm not sure why we haven't done this before, but we're going to start tending to my to-do list as a singular list. What we've been doing is taking commissions every week and using spare time to pick up the ref sheets that we had in our backlog. It's time to change that, especially since we've got ref sheets now stretching back to December. No more of that!! We'll take regular commissions as we normally would, but instead of making them first priority, we'll be taking all commissions in the order we got them.
We started with 20 ref sheets in our backlog and now we're down to 6! I'm confident if those are taken care of first, we'll be able to eradicate the entire list! The only issue that I would have is that commissions may take longer than the week we've been putting them out. But you'll have a clear indication of where you lie in our list if you check the trello. Hopefully that makes sense!
Thank you to all those who were concerned, I super appreciate it. ;;

Having some Technical Difficulties
Posted 5 years agoHey, guys.
Okay, so. Last night before bed, I heard a clicking sound. I checked and it happened to be my external harddrive making the sound while I was trying to save my last commission of the week. I managed to get the file out of another folder that MXXXIII was using since he does the flat coloring. Luckily, I hadn't moved the file back to my harddrive before working on it so that keeps my commissions up to date.
Unfortunately, the remainder of the files I have (along with the last few YEARS of commission work) are on that hard drive. I need to buy a new one and hopefully transfer the files onto it. That means that anything I'm working on right now is untouchable and I can't even upload the pieces I've finished in the last week.
Today is ref day and I can't even access the ones I'm not finished with. Would you guys be cool with us taking a regular batch of commissions and then taking new refs next week? It'll give me time to buy another hard drive and hopefully get back to work on these refs I owe. (I only owe 6 now, whereas it was 20 so I'm happy about that. I don't want to give up now.) It's just not looking like a good day so far, so I wanna be open about it.

No Ref Sheets This Week!
Posted 6 years agoHey Guys! Change of plans after some deliberating for this month. I still owe about 7 ref sheets and it's honestly a better idea to skip ref sheets this week. ;; They take longer than a week to make in most cases and if we're only doing as many as we take, we're not really catching up, y'know?
We're gonna replace them with some in-stream sketch commissions! If you're interested in that, be on the lookout this week! I'm thinking between two or three day's worth.
Anyway, Thank you guys! I really do apologize for those who have been waiting, but ref sheets (understandably) take a lot more back and forth than regular commission pieces.
P.S. If you have any suggestions for things you'd like to see coming from me, let me know!

Year End Update - Work Related
Posted 6 years agoHey, everyone, I'd like to take a second to talk about something very important regarding the way I handle commissions.
As some may or may not know, I keep a very strict schedule, timewise. I allow myself a week for turnaround with my queue. This means that anything that delays the process can often push my time plan back into the next week's schedule. This includes but is not limited having to re-draw a piece several times. Disclaimer, this is not meant to serve as a specific call out to any person or individual, but to address a recurring issue that can hurl a wrench into my efforts.
I try to stress the importance of reading my TOS thoroughly, particularly the part about having your idea firmly thought-out to expedite the process as smoothly as possible—and avoiding the habit of 'creating as you go'. I know that each artist is different in how they go about things and if that's how you prefer going about things, understand that I enjoy the creative process with each of my commissioners. However, I do not have the time available to me to do things this way.
I will be sternly enforcing my policies moving forward into the new year so that revisions noticed after-the-fact will incur charges depending on the severity and point I am at in the process. I've been very lax on it as I don't wish to offend or upset anyone who comes to me for art, but I can't continue to hit snags like this that take several days to complete a single piece.
Thank you for reading.

No Commissions This Week. But Streams! (Dec 22)
Posted 6 years agoHey guys! I really need a bit of a break from these commissions, so that I can finish the rest of my queue for the year. ;; That and it's the holidays so I feel more justified in stepping back, haha.
I'll be doing a couple sketch streams this week to replace the lost income and that way, it'll all be done at the end of the day and not pile onto my workload. I hope you guys have a very happy holiday, whether it's just a vacation or your highlight of the year! Be happy and healthy.
I'll see you guys in a bit though! I'll be posting the finished commissions I've done so far and posting the ones I'm working on as I finish them!
Thank you guys, you make this possible for me. ♥

Health Issues 😞
Posted 6 years agoSo.. most of you know I do between 6 and 10 pieces a week. This week was no different, I took 8. However..
Around last Tuesday or so I started feeling some back pain very similar to when I fell down the stairs back in April. It started about 2 weeks into my workout schedule (I want to go back to 200lbs at least). So I took some time off of that and my bowling schedule (3x a week) and figured I'd just get my commissions done like I did back then.
Come around Tuesday or so, my back seemed to be great in the morning, but when I stood up (carefully since I was still sore from muscle pain) it felt like my back just.. went out. I screamed in pain and went back down to bed.
I've basically been in that state since then, outside of one trip I asked my mom to chaperone me on to the Dmv since I had lost my license. I'm miserable here, but I've been trying not to let it deter me from getting you guys' work done.
I managed to sketch 7 out of 8 pieces along with three refs I started to catch up. Two are lined and shaded, M is helping me with them and my mental state (failure is really hard for me even when it's not my fault) and I'm gonna try to get the rest of them done as well.
Since bills don't give a fuck about injuries and I promised you guys we'd open refs, I'm willing to take only 3 new ones. The oldest ref sheets I have are from August and I hate making people wait more than two months. I'm sorry.
I'm pretty sure I pinched a sciatic nerve and that's why it's keeping me down and why my leg kinda goes numb sometimes. But we'll see.
Tl;dr:
I'm old and threw out my back but I'm trying to stay afloat in my adulthood.
To see what I've been up to on my trello.

No Refs for November (I'm so sorry)
Posted 6 years agoHey guys, I'm so sorry for this but after a lot of thought, I think it's a better idea to not take refs this month. I still have about 6-7 refs left over and it's just acceptable enough. I'll be gone for a weekend this month and there's a lot of moving around/non work things I need to be doing so I really can't pile more work on top of that just yet.
If you guys are tired of waiting, I understand and I'm so sorry. Every piece of art is mostly, if not all, done by me and I just can't do it. I really hope you understand.
I will be opening regular commissions tomorrow though! They'll be open tomorrow! ;u;

No Reference Sheets for October (2019)
Posted 6 years agoHey guys! Putting this here so that hopefully people won't be stunned. ;o; I'm going to skip out on ref sheets this month so that I can continue working on the ones I've got. I'm not trying to make these linger for too long, y'know?
I think I may replace this week's income with a couple days of sketch streams! Would you guys be interested in that? They'd be the usual set up I always do. ;u;
