Well, starting with the good news, first: started at a new job this week. Doing contract coding work at a nice company (with numerous former coworkers) and if things go well, it'll be full time this winter. I'll be playing it by ear, and gonna be optimistic about it while pessimistic about my finances until then. Also, doing the 9-5 thing again feels weird, gonna miss sleeping in.

Other good news, MFM was a blast. It was something I needed, and was a good stress release. I stayed in budget, and only got what was necessary. I was really tempted on cancelling the room, but then friends wouldn't have a place, but they were nice enough to chip in. :3 But, with the limited budget, didn't get a chance to get anything for myself or gifts for friends. I was lucky to have a friend gave me a boardgame that he felt wouldn't be played if he kept it. And to top it off, got to hang out with a wonderful group of people I hardly get a chance to. Those guys will be people I'll like to meet at more cons. :3

And last, the bad news. With the new job being contract and with a delayed pay-period, I won't be expecting my first check till mid-October. This is probably the most frustrating part of the job since now I'll need to pull enough money for rent again. So, I'll be taking commissions again, starting tonight will be taking commissions again, and will be doing art after my workday.

Full colored commissions start at $40, and goes up with multiple characters (+10$ per character after the 2nd), and complexity or detailed backgrounds (up to +$20).
Full colored sequences will start at $60 for 3 frames, and +$10 per additional frame.

Just want to provide an update on personal life stuff, and want to thank everyone who has commissioned from me in the past few weeks. First, I have rent and a few bills covered for September with the commission work to supplement my UI. I'll still be taking a few commissions though. And second, (and more important), may have a job early next month. Going through background check and did drug testing Friday. A lot of former coworkers work at that office, and hearing optimizing from that team. Let alone, they asked what name I'd like to have on their system. <___<

But commission stuff, will be focusing back on so older projects that slipped through my schedule as I panicked with my finances. Other news, MFM is this weekend. Something that I plan for since the beginning of the year. So, I'll be there. Hanging out with friends, admiring fursuits, and doing an art panel. :3

Throughout this week I will be taking commissions in order to keep my bank account up as I continue my job search. I will admit, I'm at the point of pulling out my hair. Job hunting still isn't going well, and my bank account isn't looking great. Soon, I may be packing up boxes and leaving my furniture. It's dreadful, and I hoping that my immediate job prospect pan out. I hope they do, because I like my house and my independence it provides, but if I will be living on a couch somewhere else, I can do (and done it) before.

But to help pad out my finances, I will be doing inflation based commissions. I've come to realize that I can mill those out quickly, and will be doing those for about $40. Probably stick to single characters, but can negotiate based on complexity.

Well, been super stressed lately and it's been affecting any form of productivity. The job front hasn't been going well, and it's been on my mind heavily. While I'm couping with the weight of this situation, I'm gonna focus on the 2 commissions that I have at hand, and start on Patreon work (which will be a fun comic of a cute scruffy hair pony that needs to be tied up more often). <w<

So, panic depressed me off to do art (like what artists usually do).

Job hunting is still on a low note, so opening up for more commissions to pad out the savings. So, will be accepting a handful of commissions, and be something I'll do in the mornings. (To help get a sleep schedule working again, and pretend I still have a 9-5. xD )

Haven't been too productive lately as I'm dealing with a bit of stress. Job hasn't panned out yet and now my clutch has gone out on my car.

Bad news, I'm now unemployed. It's a shock and it a punch in the gut, but however I've been thinking about getting a new job in the first place. So, this is the cosmos forcing my hand and looking for a new job... hopefully something less stressful. :\ So, I'll be updating resume as I do some art. :D

I mean... the world can change a lot in a single day. Totally optimistic and doing trades, and now figuring out my budget and planning for the worse. x__x

well, Feburary is "January Part 2"!

Been lethargic must of the month, not focusing on art or many hobbies. Just spending many of the evenings playing videogames. Work been tough with a one person being out for the past few months, and stressed tight deadlines for a few sites. Usually just leaving my evenings just to recoup.

This past week was something different though. Monday, the office decided to make the client's bathroom gender neutral. (The client side restrooms are separated.) It some how translated to me that the bosses were being thoughtful for any trans that may come to the office, and that made me feel good. As someone whom don't let work acquaintances know about my personal life, it made me think that being my shell isn't necessary anymore at the office.

Wednesday though, I made the realization that they didn't had open-mindedness involved in their decisions. They simply needed a reason to allow both restrooms to be used by either sex. Let alone, coworkers made joking comments about using the old women's room, and that dig underneath my skin. They had no clue that people desire to use a women's restroom without any prejudices involved. To hear the joking almost made me cry at my desk. It wasn't until I was alone in my car I let myself cry. I felt so naive that people would care, and it made me hurt.

This past week did one thing though, it cemented the idea that I'm more gender fluid that I thought. I know I'm a male, but I'll never want to be 100% man.

Here's to hoping March being a little better on me.

I haven't been artistically active nearly all month. It has been a very stressful month with the car issue and the frequent electrical problems in the apartment. Both things have been resolved, but it was constantly providing me with stress that allowed me to not focus on any art.

I've been spending my evenings just playing video games (which I got a few neat ones that have been passing the time), but I'll aim to make February more productive. I've got a few projects I want to finish and should get around to this weekend.

But yeah, I'm still alive and kicking. :3

Some news for the pony art fans: an art pack that I've been a part of this year is about to become available. I'm just one of 14 other artist that came together to assembly a collections of stallions tied up, restrained and bound tight. I personally contributed 5 wonderful pictures, consisting a stuffed rubber-gimp, a tied up cowboy, and a chastised rising star.

I'd admit, I haven't focus on art in the past week. I need to fix it, since I got a few commissions that I need to sketch out and finish.

But I'd admit about the few things that have stolen my focus:
- Work has been stressing with the fact a large website is being finished up. So, it's been putting a lot of my mind power into it, and when I get home I'll just zone out and watch TV and relax.
- Friends and gaming is also a culprit. The Pathfinder game is nearing the end of the arc I planned for, and now having to plan out more of it. Let alone, a new boardgame came in (Food Chain Magnate) which sucked away a few evenings. It's a game I'd highly respect.
- And a new relationship with my former roomie. I won't divulge the details but I'm in chastity, and he has the key. It's been amazing. <//w//<
- Lastly, past Friday, got in a car accident. I'm fine, but the car got a bent wheel, so I had it towed. This will be stealing away from my focus, the next week as I deal with insurance.

But that's like an update on my life, and a reminder that I should be drawing. :|
