A bit of a vent.
Posted 8 years ago(Feel free to ignore this, just needed to get it off my chest)
Well I know most people are going to be like "High school was easy" but....right now it's a literal nightmare. Being a junior I have so much to worry about...like everyday of the week I have something to occupy me, and on top of the massive amount of time-consuming homework I get, it's killing me. (And the year just started too like wtf)
Having to deal with a piano instructor who constantly wants me to be "perfect" at piano, meaning I can't make any mistakes while also playing in a fast tempo I can't even do.
Dad yells at me as I'm driving and being like "Do this- No do this instead- You're not doing it right- Do it again" and it's just making my anxiety worse because I can't do it all at one time.
Being a "role model" (not really sure how else I can describe this) in marching band because everyone (the younger members usually) mostly comes to me for advice or if they have a problem with something; And there's only so much I can do to help these kids.
And just recently joining Choir and being afraid of people judging me.
All this is draining me and my anxiety's through the roof ;_; And I kinda just fucked myself further cuz I have art that I owe to y'all but I haven't been able to touch my drawing pad at all.
So like...I don't know what I can do at this point. I'm just hoping this will all be worth it in the end.TMI Tuesday!

Posted 8 years agoMost think of it as Mexican Independence Day, but that's actually September 16th.
The real reason Cinco de Mayo exists is because back in the 1800s, France had tried to invade Mexico in an attempt to make them a french colony (Mexico was in deep debt). So the Mexicans fought back on this day and basically told France to get out, and it was a battle at the town of Puebla.
Today celebrates their victory at that town, called "The Battle at Puebla".

Posted 8 years agoI actually planned to do this in a group chat but I feel like it needs to be said publicly as well.
So we've all been hearing news about events like the bombings in Syria, terrorist attacks in Sweden and England...
And people killing animals for their own amusement (and the government fucking supports this too)
And I've heard a couple things from roxpaw that she needed to rant about.
I don't understand why people are so cruel to each other. In general people would literally do anything to bring down others for their own satisfaction...And even supporting violence and racism when we're supposed to be against it. :c It saddens me when I hear stuff like this, whether it'd be from my teachers, friends, and even my own family. (My sister was wrongfully arrested for being black just the other day actually) And this wasn't just recent things I'm ranting about, but it's throughout history as well. And by that I mean, throughout history we've heard about how badly native americans, and blacks were treated so differently just because they were different from European settlers. (Having to hear about slavery in history class actually saddens me too because of this) Why can't we all just be equal and treat each other equally, instead of going as far as killing/beating up/whatever each other just because we don't agree/aren't the same sexuality/skin color?
I've seen most of this happen too (high school man, it sucks) and it absolutely kills me. I'm treated so differently from people just because I prefer being unique. And I've seen someone get beat up just for expressing their opinion (although honestly she was kinda only talking shit about the person but that still isn't a reason for the person to beat her up anyways)
But yeah I don't understand why the world has to work like this. It's not right.Mass Upload incoming!
