Its been exactly 1 year since I last posted something. Bet some of you thought I was dead or something...... Well, for those of you who did think that, sorry to disappoint. I am still very much alive, very much happy, and very much kickin around still!
So yeah.. 2012, very busy year.....
got a job, lost a job... got a full time job, got married (squee!), still at full time job, AND getting trained for extra stuff with said job.
overall.... AWESOME year, just very very veeeeeeeerrrrrrry buuuuusssy!
maybe my 2013 will bring more updates?
maybe......
nah. I doubt it, but who knows, right?

Christmas Cards -- gonna be late
Posted 14 years agosooo I probably not going to be able to get out our Christmas cards on-time.... yup, I'm failing this season totally.
almost time for Cards again
Posted 14 years agoyup.... it is...
and I sadly need some of you people's addresses again... because my former list lived on a laptop that has passed on and I couldn't save the info off of it.
People that Iknow I need for sure:
Kazz
Verm
Zervon
(this list will be updated as I remember who elses address I need)
Though others, feel free to note me your addresses if you want a x-mas card from the skunk and myself... due to limited amounts of cards, you may or may not get one.. but hey its fun that way right?

Still Alive
Posted 14 years agoYup, I'm still here... just kinda indifferent to everything.
I've not been doing anything all too much, doing lots of cooking for me and the Skunk....
We're still trying to close on the house....
Other then that....
HAPPY HALLOWEEEN!
Tonight the Skunk and I are gonna be watching the following wonderful movies on Netflix Mostly to honour Halloween and Vincent Price (Yes, I KNOW Nosferatu ISNT a V. Price movie, but ya know, it still fits with the theme over all =P)
House on Haunted Hill (1959)
The Pit and the Pendulum (1961)
The Masque of the Red Death (1964)
Tales of Terror (1962)
The Fly (1958)
The Tomb of Ligeia (1964)
Nosferatu (1929

Reminiscing
Posted 14 years agoso tonight I spent a minute lookin through my gallery at all my "old crap" and I've realized one thing.... well two technically.
First: I think I use to be a damn fine photographer when I was living down in Ft Lauderdale, when I still had access to a digital camera and also the ability to go out and DO THINGS every weekend. Now with only a film based camera I should keep up teh photography, but I lack the motivation that I had while in school..... I somehow need to re-discover the muse that has either long since died or abandoned me. No telling which is the case there.
Second: I believe (though could be biased) I was getting better at drawing.... buuut that too I've kinda abandoned. No telling why on that one other then lack of motivation.
of those two things, I kinda do eventually want to get back into doing both, but honestly I won't lie, I might not which I'm not even too sure if I'm not happy or unhappy about that factoid...
who knows what this year'll bring.....

day off (not really)
Posted 14 years agosoooo I guess I had the wrong opinion that a person's Day off from work was for rest, relaxation, and just general doing nothing at all; right? heh WRONG.....
Today (my only day off this week) was filled with getting food for the skunk and myself, getting food for the Knight Anole and the frog (Boca and Bitey respectively), Going to the post office to pick up a parcel for the Skunk (that came in yesterday's mail but since it's registered and neither of us were home, needed to go down to the post office to pick it up), theeen home by 1.30ish only to begin what the Skunk started a couple of days ago of the "epic quest" of re-arranging the living room....
Well, part of it.
Hades and his Cabinet got shifted down to where its flush with the laundry room's door. The sofa got shifted about 2 feet over to the side, and then the Skunks computer is wedged into the corner by the end of the sofa so that we can now watch TV together even while we're both playing stuff on our computers...
So from 1.35 till now, 4.55 moving stuff....
I'm beat... I need a day off v.v;
Menu for Sunday May 29: 16 to 20 hour slow cooked roast beast (that'll have about 12 to 24 hour marinade on it to boot), New Potato Salad and Yellow Corn of the Cob. mmmmmm Not to mention I have rustic hamburger buns for the beast as given how long its gonna be basting and bubbling in its own juices its gonna be FALLING apart with even the slightest of breaths.
I sware, I treat the skunk too good sometimes! But hey, its his birthday, i'm allowed to treat him well. AND if he's very lucky, I might even make him some more home made Fudge that I've not done in forever. But maybe, it all pends on how I feel come Sunday.

amazing weekend
Posted 14 years agoThank you to all who helped with the inner workings of the Elliot's events. This past weekend was fantastic.
Also, to all those friends, new AND old, It was wonderful to see and have a chance to hang out with all of you! I really do miss some of you deeply!
People to track down: the girls that the skunk and I met at the hot tub (as I did not get any contact info for either of you) and I believe that's about it as the others I needed info on I did receive.
Need to do: dig up scanner and Scan badge that was made this weekend for her....

He coined the term "fractal" in the 1970s to refer to a new class of mathematical shapes whose uneven contours could mimic the irregularities found in nature.

6. Tell you my favorite thing about you.
7. Give you a weird nickname.
8. Tell you what's on my shirt right now.

Elliot Weekend recap
Posted 15 years agooh my god..... words to describe how EPIC this weekend was escape me.
Friday, yeah, tis true.... I got waaaay too drunk and honestly did not intend to get that way. To those who ended up observing my "melt down" I am very very sorry. Last week was a not so fun week due to the amount of sleep I didn't get, mixed with only about at most 2 hours leading into Elliots that happened, so the lack of sleep, mixed with the heavy consumption of spirits MIXED with drinking beer as well (which we all know beer does not make for a happy Kit) But still, very good evening chillin by the hot tub with Forge, Hazzard, Rex and his girl as well as many others. THREE hookahs up and running, and over all enjoyable times.... Leading us to me FINALLY being escorted up to the room at like 5am and kinda um... well.. prooving my over all flexibility to the roommates for an hour without even realizing that it happened. Nor did I believe that it happened Saturday afternoon b/c I couldn't really recall that it happened. LOL!
Saturday (Vowing to have NO alcohol -- Successfully kept to that vow too!) it was a rather relaxing day of just kickin about the hotel, chattering with people even after the maaaybe 5 hours of sleep (which would have been pretty damn good if the alcohol wasn't in my system) so I had woken still drunk, and remained that way till like 3pm or so when the hang over status kicked in. Things I learned, the IHOP near the hotel sucks horrifically for service quality, and won't comp meals even if 1 item gets sent back THREE TIMES for being cold as Ice or fucked up. and the people at that IHOP are just down right rude.. but then again I didn't bitch a fit too much about it b/c I was still drunk and was just not wanting to deal with things. The "pool party" was VERY amusing. Watching Recca and some of the other crazy males diving into the pool while playing various "stupid human tricks" by leaping over people at the edge of the pool, VERY very amusing. Now true, I hate to sing, this is a known fact. I hate listening to people who can't sing trying to even more so then my dislike for me singing. And honestly, I learned one thing.... about 98% of the fandom really, I mean REALLY cannot sing! But it was still pretty good times watching people about the pool. Saturday night when the crew returned to the Hot Tub though was even more special. Jules earlier in the day had gone out with her friend and managed to score a cake seeing the Skunks birthday was exactly in 1 week, and as she and her friend was heading down stairs, they ran into a bunch of suiters mixed with some of the Minions who help to run the con, and ALL of them came out and the ENTIRE pool area sung the skunk happy birthday. TOTAL surprise which he loved! Made me feel very very happy to see how happy he was about the sweet surprise that was given.
Sunday: WET AND WILD! YAAAAAY spent damn near the ENTIRE day in the Lazy River which was so nice. Too bad no one was able to get a picture of the Kimmie molecule that we made. Kimmie was there on her back-float thingie and like 8 or 9 of us in inner tubes circled around her forming a very cool looking blob, it was Epic. even one of the life guards was like "where I am impressed by your creativity, and that is the best I have to say i've EVER seen someone do, You guys have to break yourselves up...." Good fun, enjoyable friends, I have to say Sunday was awesome. Not to mention, I actually was surprised greatly. So at 7pm when we had to clear out of the park, while walking towards the main gates, I noticed Bonk walking along and he actually gave me a hug while I was saying bye to him. Kinda shocked me, but also I thought it was sweet. I admire his art yes, and have found him to be a very cheerful guy, but earlier (friday i believe) Actually was honoured by him when he even said "Oh yeah! I do remember the commission I did for you!" He's such a sweet heart, the fandom really does need more people like him in it.
All in all though, this weekend was awesome.
HOPEFULLY I've added Hazzard and Forge to my friends list as well as Kael, but honestly if there were others I needed to add who I said I would, and I've forgotten, please forgive me as most of today had still been slightly foggy from the weekend. But yes, I think that I really did have fun.

Elliots
Posted 15 years agoOMG so the greatest thing to happen in orlando is about to start.
Both the skunk man and myself shall be there.... if you cannot seem to find us, check by the pool/hot tub in the evenings, or generally anywhere around the Hookahs and we'll probably be there.
other then that, I have a few more things to do while da skunks at work before tonight. See you all there!
