I know it's been a while, but there's been something I need to get off my chest.

As some of you may or may not know, I've had to spend the last 11 years of my life cooped up in a hotel. 11 fucking years.

I have spent the last 4 years doing everything in my power to get myself financially stable in the hopes of getting a home or at least an apartment for myself.

But, no matter how much I've tried, I can't get approved. Despite having over 10K in the bank saved up and a really good credit score, it's not enough. Rather, not GOOD enough given the time we live in now.

To say I'm frustrated would be an understatement. I've tried so hard and worked myself to the bone. I endured a fucking pandemic.

I worked for this.

I deserve this.

But, it's just not good enough. I feel like it's too late for me to keep trying anymore.

It's not fair...

Anyways, with the Scarlet and Violet DLC out now and access to a majority of the legendaries I figured I'd ask for a bit of help if anyone was willing.

Deal is I need a Glastrier.

I chose Spectrier in Sword and figured I'd get Glastrier down the line. Fast forward to see them available in SV.

...Glastier is a Scarlet exclusive.

So if anyone is willing to trade horses with me, I will. I caught Spectrier in Violet and am willing to trade it for a Glastrier.

Recently, I got the final Windows updates for 8.1, but when I opened Firefox, it closed on me and a Firefox Crash Reporter popped up.

Is this because of the update or is it something else entirely?

So, it's come to my attention that Windows 8.1 support is ending on January 10th 2023.

I've owned my laptop that runs 8.1 (used to run 8 when I got it) since 2014 and I guess I should have known support was gonna end sooner or later.

That said, what options do I have? As I said, my laptop is kinda old, but it still has programs I still use (mainly Fire Alpaca and CSP) so should I try to back them up to a drive and get a new laptop or is it possible to upgrade to 10 on my laptop?

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

So, there are now some mons I'd like to trade for to have them. However, some are pretty specific (and kinda hard to get).

I need a Galarian Farfeth'd (or Sirfetch'd) AND Falinks WITH THEIR HIDDEN ABILITIES (Scrappy for fetch'd and Defiant for Falinks).

Yeah, I've not been doing much lately in terms of drawing.

Work has been keeping me rather busy and I've not had much time to do anything else.

Also, yes, I am still planning on giving out my Switch FC, don't worry.

I have been playing Pokemon Sword online when I got a NSO sub earlier this month (it's lapsed since it was only a month), and I've been doing a lot of Max Raids (and a having a LOAD of fun doing so without any connection problems) and I'm planning on doing some trades as well since there are a few mons I'd like to have (some are specific because of their HAs).

I haven't tried trading online (since I haven't registered anyone yet obviously), but once I get things set up, I'll drop my FC so we can set things up. Hopefully it'll be a lot easier once HOME comes out since you can trade online with it too.

So, yes, I'm sorry for not being around, I've just had a lot to do lately and this has taken a bit of a backseat right now.

So, you may know I got a Switch for Christmas.

You all also may know I've not given my FC out for it.

Well, truth be told, I never really had a reason to do so at the time. I've been meaning to get an Online subscription (preferably a year one so I don't need to concern myself with renewing it every few months). Also, given I currently only have Smash Ultimate and DBFZ, I don't think I wanna be playing a fighting game with Hotel Wi-Fi (even though I could do it on the 3DS without a hitch at times).

So, the most logical option was I wanted to wait till Sword and Shield came out.

Now, before you all go crucifying me for being excited for these games (YES, I am aware of the leaks and have seen them), I've set my heart on this choice and I DO NOT plan on changing that.

If you can't respect that, then feel free to Block/Unfollow me because you are not changing my mind.

So, that aside, I don't plan on getting the games day one since it might be a little hard (I had to wait almost a MONTH to get Ultimate). But, once I get my ducks in a row, I'll drop my Switch FC here and on Twitter.

So given it's been a few weeks, I thought I'd give my thoughts on the newish Pokemon updates we got this month.

Galarian Forms: Regional forms are back and we got to see two of them. Weezing and the Zigzagoon lines.

Galarian Weezing is Poison/Fairy with Levitate and a new ability in Neutralizing Gas which negates all abilities. It's appearance is... well the jokes write themselves. It draws in polluted air and purifies it (which I guess is why it's part Fairy?). Nice to see GF cares about the environment. First Alolan Muk and now Galarian Weezing.

Galarian Zigzagoon is Normal/Dark (seriously, why can't it be mono Dark?) and apparently the ORIGINAL variant of Zigzagoon. I do like the black and white colors and the star markings on its eyes give it that KISS look (especially with the tongue), it's pretty cute. Naturally, it evolves into Linoone, but this regional variant actually GETS an extra evolution! Obstagoon. Or if you prefer, Gene Simmons as a Pokemon. I dig its look and I hope it has some good stats to boot.

Morpeko is this region's Pikachu. Always hungry, it has two forms. Full Belly which is pure Electric and (I kid you not) Hangry which is pure Dark. It does get a new move called Aura Wheel which forces it to change forms. All in all, it's a Pikachu clone so there's not too much to it.

Rivals: So we got two new rivals revealed in the game as well. Bede and Marnie.

Bede gets an endorsement from Chairman Rose and aims to win the Gym Challenge. Since he's endorsed by the chairman, and you by the champion, he believes himself superior to you. Yep, we got a jerk Rival on our hands. Not much else is known except he has his reason for wanting to be champion. My money is on he'll have development like Silver. A jerk, but he has his reasons.

Marnie is trainer who is know for her calm and precise style of battling. Like your character, she want's to be champion for her own goals. However, this has caused her to gain the attention of the evil team of this region.

Team Yell. So, they're continuing the trend Team Skull set in Gen 7. Breaking away from the serious evil teams and giving them a different goal. Team Yell are Marnie's "fans". They're loud, punk-themed hooligans who will do ANYTHING to make sure Marnie succeeds (of course, she's not affiliated with them and doesn't like them being around her). I think they're kinda cool to be honest and I'll give them a fair shake, but Team Skull is going to be hard to top.

Last thing is PokeJobs. You can now send your boxed pokemon out to do jobs for various companies in Galar to gain EXP and even items. Some, I think, may either require certain pokemon or certain ones more fitted to the jobs will do better.

That's about it. Worlds did drop a trailer showing off some new items, but the main thing was there will finally be an online ranking system for those who play competitively. I might dabble in it for a little bit, but I doubt I'll do well with my piss poor skills. >_>;

Anways, that's all I could scrounge together. Still excited for the games. Been really likgin what I've seen so far and I hope the game will have a decent amount of postgame stuff to do.

So, I think Twitter dislikes me for some reason. Not like I'm hated or anything, but I seems to be having some technical issues with it.

So, here's the issues I've been having. Bear in mind I use Firefox browsing Twitter.

Usually, when there is a video on someone's Twitter, I'll just be scrolling by and suddenly Firefox will stop responding. Sometimes, it'll take a sec, but eventually it will start going again and I'll be on my way. However, sometimes, I have to X out of my browser and reopen because it just refuses to respond.

The next issue is sometimes, my laptop will just freeze and I have to hard shut down and restart. I have no idea why this happens, but it doesn't seem to damage anything. I've never gotten a crash message or BSOD out of it (thank god for that). This happens with autoplay videos or by just browsing.

Lastly, a similar situation to the last one will happen, but my monitor will just shut off and then turn back on. I get a message saying "Display driver has stopped working and has recovered." Again, everything goes back to working properly.

Remember, all this is on TWITTER ONLY. I have no other issues on any other site. Also, this randomly happens too. Sometimes, I can browse without a hitch, but other times... yeah.

If anyone can tell me what's causing these to happen, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Okay, I know this ones gonna sound odd, but over the last few months to a year I've kind of gotten back into desire to pick up Gunpla kits again.

If you don't know what those are. They're snap-together model kits based of the many mobile suits from the Mobile Suit Gundam anime's many series'. They come in a variety of sizes and grades (which are basically how complex they are to build) and are a nice distraction.

For those who are familiar with Gunplas, I have built a few, but they were from a long time ago.
My first was the Master Grade God Gundam (boy that was a HUGE mistake), which I totally botched the hell out of. I did get it complete, but I broke and lost a part or two.
The next ones I built were the 1/100 HG Gundam Wing EW kits for Sandrock, Heavyarms, Deathscythe Hell, and Altron. Sadly, I wanted to get the Wing Zero, but could never find it. Another HG I did was the Shining Gundam, which was just as easy and fun. The last ones I did were the 1/144 scale No Grade Wing and Deathscythe Hell kits, and boy do early 2000s NGs suck in terms of detail.

Okay, that was my experience.

Now, the purpose I'm making this is I wanna know what are some of the things I would need if I wanted to get back into this. I've seen some videos, but they range from a ton of stuff to others saying you need very little. Another thing I wanna know is is if some of the things I'd need easy to get from some places and not just online only.

As far as kits I'd love to get to start back? Most likely the Master Grade Wing Zero EW (if it's even still available) the Real Grade Wing Zero EW, and the MG Deathscythe Hell EW.

Now, I don't plan on doing this right now as I lack the funds and means to get these things. I'm just in the business of looking for any advice. Any kind can help.

I REALLY needed to get this off my chest because I literally couldn't take it anymore.

Here's my final take on this.

If you don't wanna get the new games, fine. It's TOTALLY your call and you are well within your rights to not wan to. But, it is not fine to belittle the people who are excited for the games just because they're excited for it.

This issue with the dex and development with the games as been a cesspool on both sides. Both people supporting the game and being against it.

You have every right to be upset with Game Freak's decisions, but try to respect the people who are trying to understand the reasons behind them. If they try to quash misinformation or try to put something into perspective, at least hear them out and don't just say they're blindly defending the game when they're legit trying to put things into a proper light.

If you wanna stop playing pokemon, there's plenty of other alternatives.

But, here's what I want everyone to understand.

It's okay to be upset and disappointed, this happens to EVERYONE and with ANY kind of game (seriously, look at any fighting game that's been out).

But, if someone wants to be excited for a game, let them.

If someone is defending a game, but is giving legitimate reasoning, hear them out.

Above, just try to be nice and respectful to each other. Kay?

Yeah. I'm almost considering it.

Ever since E3 and over the last few days, I've been finding it hard to wanna stay a pokemon fan given the fractured state of the community.

I've been trying to stay excited for Sword and Shield, but everywhere I look, I see people getting flamed, attacked, and belittled on social media for having ANY positive opinions about the game.

"Oh? You like this game? You're just a shill. You're sheep. Stop sucking GF's dick. You stupid apologist! *insert clown meme or Pokemon Sword and Shield Apologist Bingo card (yes, that's a real thing)*.

"You say this game looks good? IT LOOKS LIKE AN N64 GAME! Good animations? Bullshit!"

It goes on, and on... never stopping. People have been stooping lower and lower. Soon, people are gonna start turning to bootleg pokemon games even though they don't even have 80% of the full dex just because it has "better animations" instead of alternatives like SMT or indie stuff like TemTem.

I'm so frustrated right now. I don't wanna have to give up what I love drawing because people are being so hostile towards one another, but if drawing something pokemon-related makes me feel uncomfortable or fearful I'll get bullied, I don't know if I wanna deal with that...

Time will tell.

So moving along from Pokemon, I do wanna touch on the Smash DLC that got announced.

Looks like it was a win-win for both eastern and western fans of Smash with Banjo and Kazooie for the west and the Hero from Dragon Quest for the east.

Now, I will confess, I've never played the Banjo-Kazooie games and only ever played the original Dragon Warrior on the NES. However, I do know a lot about both. Banjo-Kazooie started their life on the N64 and both it and the sequel are very well loved by many fans. Dragon Quest is the BIGGEST RPG series in Japan. No, seriously, they HAVE to release the new games on either a holiday or weekend because people literally call-out JUST to stay home and play the game.

As for the characters?

The Hero looks pretty cool. He looks to be a mix of Link and the Mii Swordfighter. His big difference is that he has an MP gague and several magic spells he can charge up and use. In addition to having a skin for the main character from 11, he also has skins for the heroes of 3, 4, and 8. Now, we know he has a stage modeled after 11 and hes getting DQ music, but don't expect more than 2 tracks. This is due to the composer of the DQ series being a little... polarizing. I'm not expecting and new spirits or even art for the Fighter Spirits of the Hero. If they didn't do it for Cloud, why would they do it now?

That aside, really looking forward to the Hero.

As for Banjo and Kazooie? Sadly, I'm not as versed in their games as I am with DQ, but I still welcome them to Smash as DLC because they deserve it. Also, the dispute between them and Steve from Minecraft was getting really old. I expect they'll get treated better content-wise than the Hero will.

So, that's about all I can say about the new DLC. After this, I'm not even sure what to expect. First Joker, and now this? The last 2 fighters have their work cut out for them.

I know the last few days for Pokemon fans has been a VERY rough and frustrating one.

Not all the mons we have will be usable in Sword and Shield. And, apparently, this isn't changing.

Dynamax is here to stay and Mega and Z Moves are not going to be in the game.

I understand people's frustration at all of this, but I, in good faith, condone the inexcusable behavior they have exhibited over these last few days. Attacking, belittling, and just generally being toxic towards ANYONE who is trying to make the best of this situation. It also seems a lot of people are making burner accounts or new accounts in general on Twitter for the SOLE PURPOSE of talking shit.

However, these events will not deter me. I still plan on getting Pokemon Sword and fully enjoying it to my heart's content. I plan on doing Max Raids with friends and randos, doing battles online (maybe), trading, and breeding for days on end.

So, yes, I WILL STILL get the games and I will be DAMNED if some dick tries to bring me down for being excited.

So the Nintendo E3 Direct really showed off some stuff.

Smash DLC-
We got The Hero from Dragon Quest. Which one? All of them I think. It seems he uses both a sword and magic spells. Seems Like he's going to be a pretty fun character to use. Hopefully, we'll get more than 2 tracks for DQ.

Oh yeah... we also got Banjo and Kaoozie! It's high time they got in and to be honest, they deserve it. The were a BIG part of Nintendo's history and I LOVED how they did their trailer.

There's a TON of hype for this game now and I'm looking forward to who's next.

No More Heroes 3-
Oh how long have I waited for this. I'm really looking forward to this!

Link's Awakening Remaster-
I never got to play this before on the GB, but now I have no excuse! It looks cute, I love the art style and the dungeon maker.

There was some other stuff there too, but that is what caught my eye most.

The Pokemon Sword and Shield Treehouse-
They showed off more of the Wild Area and some of the encounter mechanics and how you can sneak up on pokemon and even whistle to get their attention. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this. They also showed off Max Raids that, YES, it seems you can lay with friends and not random players. It seems too that Dyanamax will be the main mechanic and seems Z-Moves and Megas will take a back seat. Now, as for if they're out all together? It's unknown.

Now, despite all of this, there was one big thing that REALLY seems to have soured the mood for a lot of players.

It seems that while you will be able to transfer your mons from Sun, Moon, US, UM, LGPE, and Go to Pokemon Home, you will only be allowed to transfer mons that are IN THE GALAR REGION DEX TO SWORD AND SHELD. Basically, it means if a mon isn't in the dex, it can't be transferred.

Now, this doesn't mean that this won't get updated so you can add those mons later, but this is a huge blow to a lot of people who have legacy mons. I understand their frustration about this, but now it is looking like this has turned a lot of people off to the game. I hope Game Freak realizes this and decides to let us use all the mons from every region in this game.

Well, to be honest, drawing has been a lot lower on my priorities list since my last pic (this one: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/31367684)

Why exactly? Well, it because I thought it would be a great pic once it got done. I put more effort into than I usually do.

But, it seems that didn't really have the impact I thought it would have. That in turn hurt me a bit because I felt like I really haven't been able to make anything good recently. I know I shouldn't have gotten my expectations so high, and I ended up feeling really disheartened afterward.

I've not really been focusing on my art a lot right now as I just have had no good ideas that would be worth doing right now.

So, that said, I don't know what I'll be doing for a while besides focusing on real life stuff.

...and I spent it doing absolutely nothing.

I was hoping I could get Smash Ultimate because I had gotten a Switch over Christmas, however, it's been sitting in its box for the last 2 week as I've no games for it.

So it's been almost 7 months since I've posted a new journal.

Honesty, I've had no reason to since nothing exciting has happened in my life.

In fact, it's been like this for the last few months. I've been feeling tapped out and run down. I don't know what it is, but I just don't feel as motivated as I used to. Work's been keeping me busy and, even on my off days, I just don't feel like doing anything since I need the day off to recoup.

I just feel like I've been running in place an not getting anywhere.

There's so many things I wanna do, but there's always something that keeps me from doing it. My car is still useless as it's STILL in repose (going on 2 years). I'm still only making enough money to get by week by week so saving up is difficult to impossible (which sucks because I've been wanting to save up to get a Switch).

I just... don't know what to do with myself anymore. I want something exciting to happen, but I know it prolly never will.

Yeah, I've had to put the comic on the back burner right at the moment.

It's not because I've not had time to work on it, but because of something else.

See, I got chosen to work on another doujin project and I've been busily working on a short 16 pages comic for said compilation.

So, I've been kinda of balancing that with work at the moment and I have been forced to put Tongue Tied 2 on the shelf for a while.

Don't worry though, I do plan on working on it. Plus, this is good practice for me so I can try to make it better than I was hoping.
