Tonya
General | Posted a day ago(Tonya is not her actual name and I'm sure that she's an alright person overall. Please don't harass people, this is written for entertainment/to get my frustrations out.)
ARGGHHH CAN I JUST
Tonya, Tonya.....I do not like working with you.
I have never had to write a "per my previous email" twice in one email chain.
I have NEVER asked to be transferred to someone's manager. I don't even want to complain about you, I just want someone with basic reading comprehension skills.
I know I'm not your only client, Tonya. I know that sometimes we have bad days and aren't performing at our best.
But I'm starting to think that it's every day for you, Tonya.
Late January/early February (basically a year ago) our water heater burst and made a big ol' mess in the kitchen. We got our insurance claim, got some guys over to dry our floors, and eventually managed to get a new kitchen in early July.
But because our mortgage company is basically a co-signer on our home loan, the insurance check was made and paid out to them. The money was put into an escrow account to divvy out funds while the work was being done.
Tonya, was initially quite helpful! She threw a lot of information at us at once about the process of getting everyone paid. It was straightforward, but a little confusing on *how* to accomplish all of those steps. We thought we'd figure it out as we went on.
We had two contractors.:
A) Dried our floor and removed damaged parts
B) Rebuilt our kitchen
Contractor A had already done the work and was on their merry way. They just needed to dry our floors, after all. Now they just need to be paid.
Contractor B took a little while to fit us into their schedule and needed some money for supplies (cabinets aren't free, after all.) Tonya paid Contractor B in full.
She said that the process was to pay half up front for materials, so it was a little strange to pay in full. We figured that maybe we just misunderstood something along the way and, cool, we don't have to do all of that other paperwork.
Meanwhile, Contractor A still hasn't been paid.
"Hey, Tonya, they completed the work months ago. They need to be paid."
"I need the invoice."
I send the file.
"It needs to be on their letterhead."
I send the same file with a different graphic at the top of the page.
"I'm out of the office until next week."
Next week comes and goes.
"Hey, Tonya, any updates."
"Is the work done?"
.....YESSSS!!!
"If it was completed months ago, they should've filled out the paperwork months ago."
".......you never gave me the paperwork. Can I have the paperwork?"
I get a blank email.
"Hey, I got a blank email. Was this intentional? Contractor B is done with the work now."
"Is the work done?"
F JDSKAL;FJLSKDA;F JDSLK;A YESSS!
"Okay, we also need to do an inspection before we pay Contractor A."
"Oh, alright? Why didn't Contractor B need all this? Also, how do you plan to inspect and make sure the floor is dry if the new flooring is already installed?"
"We require all Contractors to do this."
"....okay, so.....why is Contractor B paid in full?"
"The only money I paid was for Contractor B."
YES.
YOU HAVE PAID CONTRACTOR B IN FULL
THE ENTIRE AMOUNT IS PAID
CONTRACTOR B DOESN'T NEED TO BE PAID
THAT AMOUNT PAID IS THE FULL AMOUNT
"Well, the only reason I would've done that is if I thought that was your only contractor. Contractor B needs to fill out the paperwork and pass the inspection before we pay Contractor A."
I held my tongue and asked for the paperwork from both companies, asking them to please, PLEASE take it up with escrow if they don't like what I'm asking.
And that's where it's sat until today. I never heard anything else from Tonya or either contractor, so I figured maybe they strong-armed her into paying what was due.
Until today
I get an email from Tonya.
"Hey, there's still money in this account. Is the work done?"
I fucking lost it, y'all lmfao. I was professional and I wasn't mean, but I did mention that this situation has been emotionally exhausting and frustrating.
I email both contractors.
I email Tonya again, letting her know that I've done so and asking to see if my case can be transferred because I feel like we've been talking past one another.
And to this day, I still don't know how they plan to inspect that my floors under my new cabinets are dry.

Thanks for reading. Tonya ruined my afternoon and I am upset that the ghost of my dead water heater still haunts me to this day lmfao
Get your shit together, Tonya.

Caffeinated Ramblings
General | Posted a week agoI'm starting to feel pretty damn good on the day to day.
It's refreshing to take a break from commissions. I do miss the money, but I'm generally happier and more creative than I've been in quite some time. It's given me room to experiment and make things because I want to.
I'm starting to come to terms with the fact that I probably won't reach the level of success that I wanted to have in terms of an art career. The barrier to entry for conventions is SO high nowadays. I don't have the money to purchase popular types of merchandise like enamel pins or clothing, but I also worry that I wouldn't have the follow-through for something like a Kickstarter. (Not to mention figuring out the taxes lmao.)
And I think that's okay.
My art also takes longer than ever to create, yet my prices haven't gone up proportionally to reflect that. I want to be affordable, but I think this has partly led to burnout. (Realistically, even the digital crayon doodles should cost $10-$15 based on the amount of time they take.)
I'm accustomed to burnout at "real" jobs. I suppose I need to account for that in art, too.
I think I'm incompatible with our hyper-capitalistic society lol I just want to make silly art that makes people happy. I don't want to do "marketing" or "social media," whatever that is. :P
And that feels like a cop-out, right? Am I incapable of structured work, or just lazy? Do I deserve to have nice things if I don't "produce" anything of value?
I've been struggling with this question all of my life- probably as early as first grade if I'm being honest.
But I'm slowly coming to terms with it and trying to give myself the same grace that I extend to others.
More importantly, I'm finding meaning in the work that doesn't "produce" anything such as getting the kids to and from school or making dinner from scratch. Those jobs are important, too, even if they don't provide income.
My polycule has recently taken an interest in the work "Simulacra and Simulation." We've often longed for a more self-sufficient lifestyle that allows us to have real, human experiences as opposed to a distilled xerox of a xerox. Thinking about what that means in practice has lead us to doing a lot more activities together that are just for us and our immediate community.
Riding our bikes over taking a car lets us interact with our neighborhood.
Making apple wine from scratch is a long, hard job that lets us get together and enjoy each other's company. It also makes great gifts for our neighbors!
We've set up our own e-mail server! We're decoupling from Google and the algorithm. (klaora at unhelpful.observer is my new address, but I'm still getting that set up. I hope to eventually be klaora at dreammaker.art when I get the money together. ^^ We want to make our own early-web style websites.)
We talk. We journal. We game without internet. We unplug.
We touch grass. :P
So, yeah....
my life has become way more about my offline space.
And you haven't lived until you've made your own pasta from scratch.
This isn't to say that I'm leaving the internet or anything that drastic. :P I just spend more time DOING instead of scrolling or going through the motions of art that I think other people will like. I'm unbelievably lucky.
Lastly, because I'm trying to be more "me" and less "business man" as of late, I'll be a little selfish and plug an Amazon wishlist since my birthday is in a week. :P Please don't feel obligated to get me anything. I just think it's fun to put a list together and pretend like I'm asking Santa for something. ^^
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/.....3UFYZ001KC6JR/
And just for fun, here's a hard to find thing that I *desperately* want:
The Vanilla Ice Electronic Rap Board Game
Lemme know if you're selling a copy. ;P
PS: Apparently I've been holding pens wrong my entire life? And the way I do it is rather common in ADHD folks?
Why did it take over 30 years to get a diagnosis again?

Commission Break
General | Posted a month agoHello hello! Thanks to everyone that's checked up on me over the last little while. Responding to folks is hard, but I appreciate it more than I can properly express. <3
Depression is really weird when your life is actually good lol. I've been doing a lot better over the last couple of weeks in particular, though I'm still struggling with the "lack of interest in my hobbies" aspect.
To help me get myself back in order, new commissions are closed indefinitely. The Crayon Club is also closed for now.
My hope is to reopen everything by New Years, but I'll make another announcement when I'm ready to do paid work again. :)
Since I've made this decision, I've started drawing my first new poster since January! I'm actually having fun and looking forward to working on it a little each day. I still can't get as much done as I'd like, but I'll take it lmao
I'm not sure what happened to cause this 6 month slump I've experienced. Hopefully I'm at the end of it. ^^

"It's Like Riding A Bike"
General | Posted 3 months agoI recently got a bike and started riding again after nearly 20 years. Of course the English idiom "It's like riding a bike- you never forget" came to mind.
While this saying isn't complete hogwash, it lacks nuance. The first week on my bike I could balance and get around, but I was wobbly to the point that a strong wind would knock me over. The second week was better, though it took some additional learning about the optimal settings. I'm about a month in and only now getting back to the level I was as a kid, but the experience is still different since I'm larger and carry more kinetic energy.
I'm experiencing this a little bit with art, too lol. It's been a couple months and I finally got the tiniest bit of work done yesterday. Getting even the basic sketch took some doing and it felt weird being out of practice even slightly lol
But it also feels like a good opportunity for growth. I wouldn't say I'm doing anything ground-breaking (it's just a small icon commission) but I'm noticing my art change to be a lot looser and cartoony over time. It feels backwards because less is more in this case.
Anyway, those are my "after my morning bike ride" himbo thoughts lol
My personal life is good- even the bare minimum on my worst depression days makes a positive and visible difference in my family's life.
My work life is returning. I'm getting a small art "win" or two for the dopamine hit and then tackling the Crayon Club backlog. Thank you all so much for your patience on that! <3 It's been incredibly frustrating because it's literally just an afternoon's work but MY BRAIN WILL NOT COOPERATE lol
Thanks for reading. Talk soon!

Last Week Was a Bust
General | Posted 3 months agoWell, last week was a bust.
To be fair, one of our cars failed and needs a new transmission. As a result, my husband needs to take my car to and from work.
Over an extra hour each day has been dedicated to walking: My house, to the kids' house, to their school, and back to my house. And the reverse trip again in the afternoon and evening.
The level of exhaustion and soreness I experienced was unpleasant to say the least! I got pretty severe heat rash towards the end of it due to high temperatures and even higher humidity! O.O
But I got a bike over the weekend. This has cut my commute in half and uses a different group of muscles. I bike 2/3rds of the way and walk the remaining 1/3. I'm getting stronger every day and am no longer quite so physically taxed.
I hate exercise and I hate even more the fact that I need to do it for my stupid mental health lol
Speaking of mental health, I'm starting to feel a little better.
I had my second appointment with my new doctor and she just flat out asked me "You're tired all the time- why aren't you on a stimulant for ADHD?"
So......I finally got a prescription for a medication that I've needed for my entire life approved. I should have it in hand later this evening.
I'm rather excited that even when I wake up feeling exhausted after 8-10 hours of sleep, I'll have more than just caffeine to try and keep me awake.
I've been told my whole life that I'm lazy and that this was a personal failure. I feel relieved and vindicated.
I've got a big trip coming up over the weekend (12 hours of driving by myself, ugh) so it's hard to say how next week will go in regards to focus, but I have good, yet reasonable, expectations. I'll try to get back to everyone soon. I do apologize again for my lack of uploads and appreciate your patience while I get some of this nonsense figured out. :)
As always, take care! Thanks for sticking around!

Depression Sucks; Getting Caught Up
General | Posted 4 months agoHello again! My apologies for the radio silence over the last month or so. As the title says, I've been hit by a bout of depression that's not been too terrible, but has been difficult to shake.
Depression is particularly weird when you've got your life more or less figured out. It's taken the form of apathy, lethargy, and a general case of the "blahs" this go around. Truth be told, I'm still not entirely free of it, but I'm trying to get back into my good habits. I'll gladly take this version over whatever the heck was going on as a teen/young adult lol.
I'm quite behind on a lot of things. I need to respond to lots of folks and catch up with the last month of Crayon Club, including packing and shipping the drawings from June. I apologize for not having those out yet, but plan on getting them mailed this week. There will be no freebies this month while I get caught up.
As much as I had been looking forward to Art Fight for the entire year, I barely touched it past the first week. I'm really sorry about that. I'll be responding to everyone soon and will return the drawing favor during next year's fight. If you signed up for a Crayon Club piece to be made during the event, I'll still be honoring those requests.
With school starting for the kids, I'll be back to a steady schedule without extra distractions. I'm relieved to say the least- acting like everything was okay around the kids only led to more exhaustion and apathy.
While depression has eaten up a lot of my motivation for work and art, I've not been stagnating and doing nothing. I took the kids out to library events multiple times a week over the summer. I've been cooking a lot more now that my kitchen is back. We celebrated my son's birthday with a few outings and a party weekend. My husband took some time off around his birthday/our anniversary and we spent quality time together. My polycule played DnD for the first time in months (we just got to Wachterhaus in Curse of Strahd. ) Seriously, my life is pretty great- mental illness just doesn't care lol
Anywho, thanks for always sticking around- even when I'm fighting against my brain. I'll be uploading things and replying to folks soon. Take care for now. ;)

General | Posted 5 months agoNyehehe, hello hello! Klaora's Crayon Club meets Art Fight for July's freebies! If you're interested in signing up for this month, here's the form!
https://forms.gle/XukPpY1TAeKdPL43A
I know that this limits some folks from joining in this time around and I do apologize for that. I hope that by having this open much earlier than usual, it helps folks who aren't usually available on random Mondays to join in when they normally can't. :)
Despite having this form publicly available for over a week, I still don't have any entries! Please consider joining so I can have two of my favorite art events happen at once!
See y'all on the battlefield! >3c

I am *still* rather sick, but my wonderful husband drove me to the post office today! While I probably could've done this myself just fine, even this small errand run has me exhausted.
The next freebie day is tentatively scheduled for this Monday depending on how I feel. I honestly thought I'd be over my first man-flu by now lol

There's not a lot left to report since last time I checked in! I got some new cute stamps for summer packages though- Manatees and American baby animals. :)
My second Covid test also came back negative, so I honestly have no clue what I've come down with. Hope y'all are staying healthy! I'm gonna go take a nap and be gross. Take care!

Sick~
General | Posted 6 months agoHello again!
The summer of childcare has been going alright. They're good kids, but it's hard to concentrate on making art (or doing anything really) when my thoughts are the equivalent to television static while I'm watching them lol.
I was hoping to get caught up this week but I've unfortunately come down with something of a cold. The covid test came back negative, at least!
I want to thank everyone for their patience! I've been forgetful when it comes to getting the Crayon Club letters mailed out (though my daughter did have a lot of fun helping to decorate everyone's envelopes with stickers. ^^ )
I'll be dropping these off at the post office in a day or two. I'll make an announcement journal with stats once those have been sent. :)
June's crayon club is *next Monday* Be on the lookout for the journal or BlueSky post for a chance at a free silly drawing. ^^ I may prioritize on pride themes or rainbow characters for this month.
(The kids MAY want to help? I'm not gonna even ask them, but they're quite insistent on helping out on just about ANY task lol They almost get disappointed when I tell them that making pizza rolls is a "one person job.")
For the few of your interested, issue 3 of HotShot is coming along rather slowly between paid commissions, childcare, and it being difficult to write. It's unlikely to be finished before this weekend's protest.
I'm hoping to get all of my paid commissions finished up before the end of the month so that I can take July off for this year's Art Fight. :D I'd probably have an easier time making art when money and maintaining a high level of quality isn't on the line.
Anywho, that's about it. Thanks for reading my drivel as always. Hope you're doing well!

Back Again and General Updates
General | Posted 6 months agoHello hello! I'm pleased to have internet again. We were living like cavemen, watching DVDs and talking to one another for entertainment.
I'm also in a bit of a schedule transition with the kids out of school for the summer. It may take a few days for me to get accustomed to working in a new environment.
With children.
Playing life on hard mode.
Without much access to internet, I was unable to get the packages taken care of for Crayon Club. I'll be packing these up tomorrow and shipping them out sometime this week. :)
Lemme know if there's anything else I can do for you all! Take care!

No Internet
General | Posted 6 months agoHey y'all!
I've not had Internet since Monday afternoon.
Hopefully it'll be back on tomorrow. :)
It may be a minute before I'm able to respond to everyone and get y'all's crayon drawings shipped out this time around! Thanks for your patience!
(I'm very tempted to go to a cafe and put these letters together if this doesn't get sorted out soon. Sounds fun! )

Free Patreon Re-Opening
General | Posted 7 months agoHello, hello! I'm glad to see that FurAffinity is back up in some capacity!
My partners have been pushing me to re-open my Patreon as an avenue for my anti-fascist art. If you like my comic zine "HotShot Hare," this is where I will be uploading my full-res files for free. Nothing will ever be behind a paywall!
https://www.patreon.com/Klaora
As a reminder, all of my anti-fascist work uses a Creative Commons license, specifically CC BY-NC-ND 4.0. This means that you are free to print and post this work however you like so long as it is non-commercial and gives proper accreditation.
I'll still be posting the artwork here, but I like how I'm able to organize posts and provide direct download links via Patreon. I also like having a slight level of separation for this kind of work. It gives me a place to talk about feedback I've received, in-person activism, and the connections I've made as a result of it.
So if that's your thing, check it out! If not, no worries whatsoever! I just appreciate you taking the time to read this.
Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend. :)

I also take donations here if you like the artwork I did for you, but it's not necessary. ^^ Everything is funded by my five generous subscribers so I'm rarely, if ever, out of pocket these days!

Thank You, Woodsflock! :D
General | Posted 8 months agoWoodsflock is genuinely one of the most fun events I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of. This was my second year vending and while the sales were only 30-40% of what I got last year, I still had a most wonderful time! I rarely type up convention highlights these days, but this is a special occasion. :)
First things were a little stressful as I did not realize that I had only been allotted half a table. I wasn't upset at the lack of space, but was more frustrated about how if I had known ahead of time I could've planned for it lol. I managed to cobble together some semblance of a display, but I suspect that the lack of space may have contributed to the lower sales figures. This was a mere hiccup in an otherwise fantastic weekend.
I got a most interesting commission and I could not be more excited! Someone has asked for a full-body piece to be made on a drum-head! I've never worked on this surface before and I had NO idea how to even price such a thing haha! I think that Posca markers will make for an excellent look, but I lacked a couple colors for the character and will need to place a special order for those. It's gonna look SO COOL! O.O
There are at least two other polycules that attend Woodsflock! I rarely meet other poly folks, much less people in dedicated poly relationships. While this wasn't a direct topic any of us talked about, it's still exciting to know that more of us are out there! :)
Saturday night we roasted hot dogs and s'mores by the campfire. I found that rare moment of true happiness and contentment among the food, company, idle chatter, and a sense of shared community. It's a good reminder that happiness is not so much a goal that can be achieved, but a moment that will find you when the time is right.
During this time, a guy spoke up asking if we would mind if he pulled out his guitar and sang a few songs. Enough folks gave the go-ahead and we were blown away by a live performance in front of a campfire.
You truly cannot judge a book by its cover. This socially unaware furry (aren't we all lol) transformed into a new person entirely once the music started. Four original songs and a modified cover later and we were left speechless. I feel lucky to have been a part of this.
Another fun part of the con was the charity auction! Someone donated a *working* era 1 Furby customized with a Beetlejuice theme. The bid started at a mere $5.
I got into a bidding war with my tablemate, Let Moose Cook. >3c
https://bsky.app/profile/let-moose-.....ok.bsky.social
They'd get up, get some water, leave a bid, and come back to the table. A few moments later, I'd do the same. It was all in good fun since it was for charity. ^^
I did not win the Furby lol. Oh well!
I had to get creative with my charity donation as I had forgotten my real one at home lol. So I put together an "Ultimate Silly Pack" with my silly posters, stickers, and a worm on a string. I also slipped in some coupons for a custom silly button and a premium crayon club coupon. I did not advertise the custom artwork coupons. >:3c
I normally don't get to see the results of my donations so I was really excited to see someone had bid! Turns out the person that was bidding on it was literally looking at my display for a solid 15 minutes while the auction was ending lol. I told her that I wasn't going to sell her anything until after the winners were announced lmao!
This is also the first furry event where I've given out copies of HotShot Hare. I got a lot of positive feedback, which was particularly pleasant for an event in the rural South. Furries are pretty cool, turns out. :)
(And if you live in the rural South, I see you! I grew up in an Alabama sundown town and look how I turned out lmao! )
The coolest part was when the GoH, Hunty's Doodles, picked up both issues and came back with their own zine as a trade! :D Check out their music discovery zine!
https://hmmmmzine.com/
I even managed to write the first page of Issue 3 while there. Issue 3 covers the topic of knowing your rights when dealing with members of law enforcement
Iggi of Alstro Arts also gave me a sticker of a rainbow kirin from their Wild Sky enamel pin set!
https://shop.alstroarts.com/
I bought the pin last year, but I hear something of a new version? O.O I NEED IT!
I love the comradery brought on by a small artist market. Getting to spend the weekend with likeminded creative folks is a real treat. ^^
Everything about Woodsflock is truly amazing. It's a furry event like no other and reminds me of what I want my life to look like.
I urge you to check it out if you're in the surrounding Tennessee area.

Off to Woodsflock!
General | Posted 8 months agoOh my goodness, hello! I'll be leaving for Woodsflock Friday morning and I cannot wait!
https://woodsflock.com/
Furry summer camp? In the spring so it's not so hot? :D Yes, please!
If you're also attending and would like to pre-order a badge or something, just send a note my way. :) I hope to see y'all there!
Also, thanks for sticking around! Genuinely!
I've been having a hard time maintaining, much less growing, my audience. This has been especially true once I started uploading the occasional political art. I've been losing more followers than I gain for pretty much the entirety of this year so far.
Until yesterday. There hasn't been a mass exodus on either my FA or BlueSky accounts in the 24 hours since I've posted. Perhaps I've managed to weed out most of the "UwU no pawotics in my fandom" types lol
I normally don't keep such a close eye on metrics like that, but it's been much harder to get seen and find work lately. If you're a creative type struggling with this as well, know that it isn't your fault. You aren't doing anything wrong. Your prices aren't too high and the quality of your artwork is just fine.
I dunno if anyone else needs to hear that, but I know that folks are having a hard time. I can't do much, but I see you.
And the next crayon club day is tentatively scheduled for Monday, April 21st! I'll make a post once I get that confirmed. Can't wait!

More fun facts!
Y'all have no idea how much I spend on stickers, and I'm not just talking the custom ones that I made for the club lmao
It's actually really hard to find kids stamps at stores nowadays!
The kids stamps I have found are often dry. I started filling them with a couple drops of my copic marker ink lmao
Please stop me from buying and collecting washi tape for more envelope decorations.
The next free crayon day is scheduled for Monday, April 21st! Hope to see y'all then!

Crayon Club Members: Poll/Discussion
General | Posted 8 months agoHello hello!
For the first 6 months or so of the crayon club, I've been reaching out to all of my official club members individually. While this is still doable with the amount of supporters I have, I realize that this isn't feasible if the club grows much larger. So I'm looking for a more efficient method to get everyone's information each month. Please let me know which of the following options is good for you. :)
1. Email- A single email sent in advance. If someone clicks "reply all," it will be very funny. :)
2. Ko-Fi Post- Leave a comment on a central Ko-fi post
3. Discord Group- Once a month reminder ping to send your refs. Not a chat group, unless y'all want to lol
4. Telegram Group- Basically the same thing as the Discord Group
I'm also open to suggestions!
Thanks for taking the time to help out! I'm hoping that a more efficient system will make a smoother transaction for everyone involved. :)

"Amusing" "Drama"
General | Posted 8 months ago(I do not advocate harassment of anyone in this journal should you figure out who it is. Just block them and move on. ^^)
I had the pleasure of making some crayon club drawings the other day and uploading them to social media. What I did not know was that it would lead to one of the dumbest situations I've ever been a part of.
A few hours after I had wrapped up, I got a user I'd never met on BlueSky sending me a "beware" about someone I had drawn. This was done with a public comment rather than reaching out privately.
Moreover, this "beware" was about a minor and someone I've known for a while (we even traded some art during last year's Art Fight. ^^ )
In short, I responded with:
1. This doesn't concern me. Take it up with them
2. This person is a minor so like... Who cares? and
3. How did you even find this post anyway unless you're going out of your way to harass this kid
They later responded with some half-assed excuse of seeing it in the "furryart" feed, despite it not being tagged as such or in any publicly available feed of a similar name that I could find. It's all been since deleted, likely so it couldn't be documented since they've gone out of their way to harass this person for ages.
I blocked them and thought that was the end of it.
No, my friends~
Later that day, I got flooded with notifications from a username called (Kid's Name)_is_bad
And here I transcribe their profile description. Ahem:
"I will follow all Klaora's followers. To mark them so I can spread truth about how Klaora supports (Kid's Name) the ped0"
Well that sure is a brand new accusation- for both of us lmao. NOTHING sent my way had anything of the sort. (Plus, again, they're a minor? Idk how that works)
Anyway, they were blocked and the account deleted shortly after I found it. A couple folks reached out to me and I appreciate that.
All this because I made a silly crayon drawing and believe that people are allowed to make mistakes, especially young people that I've seen genuinely own up to and apologize for them.
And if I may get up on my soapbox, we all make mistakes. Bewares and call-out culture need to be saved for truly heinous individuals, else they lose their power AND harm folks in the crossfire.
Maybe I'm just getting old and don't give a shit about "Someone said something mean/bad on the Internet" type of stuff any more lmao
Hopefully, that's the end of this stupid saga.
So now y'all know I'm a dirty ped0 supporter (apparently) Eviscerate me in the comments! :p

Off to EvilleCon
General | Posted 9 months agoHeya! It's been rather difficult getting into conventions lately, even ones that I've done for years. So I decided to give an anime convention a try once again. :)
I'll be at EvilleCon in Evansville, IN this weekend. If you're in the area, come by and say hello! I've got a worm on a string with your name on it! :D
While I'll be coming home Sunday night, I'm not sure if I'll be doing the Crayon Club the following Monday as scheduled. The last few conventions have me realizing that I'm getting OLD lol. It'll be next Thursday at the latest, but likely Tuesday. Just keep an eye out for the journals or BSky posts for openings. :)
(Or, you know, join the club lol
https://ko-fi.com/klaora/tiers
Series 1 stickers are starting to retire! This is your last chance to get the full set! )
In art news, I'm working on issue 2 of HotShot Hare.
I have a few ideas for pre-made badge designs
I currently have five crayon club members. :D I shouldn't be out out of pocket for supplies and shipping even if I don't get any tips that month. ^^
Non-art news, I'm doing alright for the most part.
The cat distribution system is working as intended. (The kitten is very cute <3 )
I'm still waiting on insurance to pay out for water damage caused by a busted water heater. I've not been able to use my kitchen in a month. :C
It's officially been a year since I scheduled my first appointment for gender affirming care. That first appointment is in May. Two months from now. :))
I've been replaying Pokemon Crystal on original hardware. It gives me some warm fuzzy feelings in these trying times.
And while the world's on fire, my home life is the most loving and supportive environment I could ask for. At least on that front, I'm incredibly happy. :)
As always, thanks for reading. I hope you're doing well! Take care of yourself.

FREE CRAYON DRAWINGS DAY [Closed]
General | Posted 10 months agoI'm back with my nonsense!
Y'all know the drill! Leave a ref, get a silly crayon drawing and club sticker sent to you in the mail for free! (Or $1 for international folks if you can afford it.)
All of this is supported by my three generous club members and occasional tip.
Check out my ko-fi, yada yada, $5, extra exclusive sticker
https://ko-fi.com/klaora#
Also, sorry, I know I'm a little behind on responding to comments and conversational notes! Heck, even this is a day late and I didn't reach out to a couple of members ahead of time. (Y'all will get a bonus drawing this month to make up for it. ^^ ) These last couple of weeks have been incredibly hectic.
I'll get back to everyone soon. Thanks for your patience! <3
