My brother has passed away
Posted 2 years agoKelvin passed away around 3am at the hospital on the 15th.
Due to a lack of money, I went with the second cheapest option, and that was to have Kelvin immediately buried. This is a no frills option, but it still comes to $4000.
Any donations to help with funeral cost are greatly appreciated and can be sent to my paypal klebkatt[at]gmail.com or directly to Dotson Funeral Home (https://www.dotsonfuneralhome.com). Posted 7 years agoSorry for not keeping ya'all updated with recent events. Nothing remarkable's been happening save for the last few months.
To quickly sum it up, I was diagnosed with uterine pre-cancer on June 25 and it's been a bit of a whirlwind since then. I had a hysterectomy on Aug 2 and have been on unpaid medical leave since Aug 1st.
I've been wanting to stream during this time to try and earn a few bucks via commissions, but I've lacked the confidence that people would be interested. So you may spot me around.

What kind of computer do we want? We would like a computer that not only lets us make Bad Fanfiction Theater, I Love Fanfiction, and Read Not videos, but also let's us make more Let's Plays and Not Art videos without stutter and at a higher frequency. The new computer will allow us to make steady video output, not just a weekly update...assuming the current computer can make a 20 minute video in less than 8 hours.

Status Update
Posted 11 years agoWe buried Mom on Wednesday, next to her sister Brenda just as she wanted. It was breezy, but the sun was out and it didn't rain as it had the night before. Mom is resting with no worries.
However, I still have to sort out the things she left behind including her funeral and medical costs.

Mom has Passed Away

Mom's Status (Not Good)
Posted 12 years agoMom's legs are shot to hell, including the one they operated on last night.
After we all spoke with Mom (the doctors, the chaplin, Kelvin and I), she considered her options and decided to enter hospice and pass away at home if she's able. If something happens while she is in the hospital, she is DNR or Do Not Resuscitate.
So this means she can eat and drink whatever she'd like within reason while we make sure she's well taken care of.
I have also wrote down her wishes for funeral and burial, so I'm going to try and look around for the cheapest one I can find that still honors most if not all of Mom's wants when the weather gets better.

More bad news though, they have confirmed another tumor around her kidneys. They take her for a...I think they called it a PT scan, tomorrow. They said that it was a test to better see the cancer and to help them evaluate it. They still have her on the good meds so that she's not in pain, but she falls asleep easily.
Until the test comes back, they don't know if her breast cancer's come back with a vengeance or if it originated on her lungs or what. Mom was a smoker for all the years I've been alive and more till she had to quit a few years ago, so that's not helping her.
I'll keep everyone posted.

If I made a How to Write and Draw Comics show...
Posted 12 years agoI was thinking of starting a show where I try to help other amateur comic/manga creators with things they might not know or really covering story creation basics. This show would focus on more of the story creation aspects (so very good for writers), but will also help to flesh out character designs and comic layouts for artists.
Does that sound good to you all? Would it be something you'd watch? What kind of questions do you have?
