Big news: New Account!
General | Posted 9 months agoHowdy y'all! Been a bit!
So, I have some... news. I don't talk about this much at all, at least not here on FA or in most of my social circles but I am plural... or, I guess, we are plural, more properly. Who's we, you might ask? Well, that would be me, Ailbhe, and my headmate Min-Su (yes, that Min-Su, the kumiho a lot of y'all see on this page). Min-Su emerged as her own person in our brain about three-ish years ago, and has become a rather significant part of my life, both as a source of inspiration and as a friend to those in my social circles that know her as her own person.
For a long time now I've been thinking about moving away from this account anyway since I don't really feel much connection the username anymore, especially not since becoming a beaver, and considering I'm not the only one in this brain who draws, I think the best move is a new account where we can both post our own stuff. With that said, you can find us over at
jadeblossoms now. Come say hi! We don't bite!.. much... x3
We'll be uploading our new art to the new account from now on as well as some old favorites from this one in the coming days, so stay tuned! See you there! <3

So, what's up with me these days?
General | Posted a year agoSooooo, I just wanna start off this journal with a big ol' welcome and howdy to anyone that's new to my gallery, or maybe hasn't checked in a while. Helloooo, how are y'all? XD
Anyway, I just wanted to get some updates out of the way, in case y'all were wondering just what's up, why I post infrequently, etc. etc.
General updates!
- I am a beaver now, and have been for... uh... about a year and change now! Ain't I a cute little wood-munching water hamster with an engineering degree? (I don't actually have an engineering degree). Same color scheme, same ol' goofball that I always have been.
- I finished my electrical apprenticeship program earlier this year, and am on track to take my state's journeyman electrician licensing exam within the next six or seven months. Here pretty soon I'll be a licensed journeycritter!
- Not that most of y'all would know much about my living situation, but I moved out of the ratty ass apartment I lived in for a few years, late last year. Current place is nice, if a bit more of a drive for work. Definitely beats dealing with bedbugs. >.<;;
And with those out of the way, what's up with the art situation?
Art's still a big part of my life, though I can't post as often as I would maybe want to. My construction job, being mentally tiring and physically demanding at times, leaves me with not a lot of energy and want-to to do much when I get home most weeks. I'm happy enough that I manage to draw anything, and I usually end up with quite the backlog of stuff to post as a result. Depression also plays a huge part in why I don't post much; even on days where I'm not super tired, the give-a-fuck is not there and well, even if I have stuff to share with y'all, I just end up putting it off for another day until I have a small mountain of pictures to post. Medication is helping with the worst of it, buuuuut it doesn't help everything. Oh well... XD
Anyway, hope that clears some things up. Enjoy the art, even if there is not reeeeaaaally much else to the posts. I can barely be arsed to post things, let alone write descriptions, sooooo I guess y'all just gotta take what you can get? lmao

Need some artist recommendations!
General | Posted 3 years agoOK, soooo I'm looking at getting something done of my vorny llama OC Gtissi. Anyone know any artists that are good for pin-ups, can draw anthro llamas decently, and are open or will be opening soon? XD
Regarding faves en masse
General | Posted 4 years agoHi! I don't usually leave journals like this, but I figure it's worth saying; if you come across my gallery, and you like a few things here and there great! Leave a fave or two (or three!) on the ones that strike your fancy, maybe even consider leaving a comment! I love reading and responding to comments!
But please do not go through my gallery and hit the favorite button on on damn near every single piece of content. If you're just trying to say you really like my art, there are other ways of doing so; leaving faves en masse is not. You could leave a comment or a shout! I have Shinies enabled for the small handful of y'all who may like it that much as to want to throw money my way.
Seeing 10+ notifications all at once from the same person spamming the fave button on most of my vore content makes me anxious and kinda creeped out if I don't already know the person. Please, do not try to show your appreciation of my art by spamming the fave button. I don't like it, period.
Thank you.

Whoops! Shinies update!
General | Posted 5 years agoSo, I enabled Shinies or whatever they're called for laughs a while ago. I entered an extra digit for my PayPal email when I first set it up and didn't notice until today when I saw a comment saying that something about my Shinies being broken. That's fixed now, and to the person who pointed it out, thank you!!! xD
I should note, though: I do not and will not ever expect to be tipped for anything I post on this gallery. I leave the option available if anyone really feels like doing so, but I draw entirely for my own enjoyment and entertainment, and for me that is enough in itself.

Regarding vore content in my gallery
General | Posted 6 years agoQuite simply, I'll be putting most of the current and future vore content on my page into my scraps section, since vore, while good fun to draw, is not what I would like to be the main focus of my content here on FA.
Update: THE TABLET LIVES
General | Posted 6 years agoOK, so it turns out that the tablet works just fine. I just forgot that I had to specify the kernel directory while compiling the drivers with Make. WHAT A FUCKING RELIEF! :D
Tablet troubles!
General | Posted 6 years agoSo, for a while now, I've been using my Parblo Coast10 tablet on Linux mostly without issue, but because Parblo doesn't officially support Linux in their drivers, I've had to use third party drivers, which worked fine.... Well, until one of the more recent kernel updates. Now the drivers don't work, and my computer won't detect any input from the tablet.
I have a couple options to fix this. One would be to rewrite the drivers myself to work with the new kernel; it'd take a long time to learn, but I'd get to use my tablet and still use Linux. Option 2 would be to dual boot Linux and Windows 10; while this is one of the easier solutions from a technical standpoint, I don't have any boot media with Windows 10 on it, and I personally would rather avoid putting Windows back onto my laptop just to be able to draw, but if it can't be helped, it can't be helped. Option 3 would cost a lot, but is easy: get a new tablet. As I currently do not have a job here in Australia quite yet, this would be quite the hit on the wallet to take, but would arguably be the easiest, especially if I can find a cheap Wacom, which almost all Linux distros support out of the box.
Anyway, if y'all ever wonder why I won't be posting art* for a little while, now you know!
(*I do have a sketch pad to doodle in, and I might occasionally post a doodle or two from that if I feel like it.)

Reminder: Adopt for sale!
General | Posted 6 years agoHey folks, just a little reminder, in case ya missed it the first time, that I do have an adopt for sale over on Twitter right over here!
Something new: An Adopt for sale! (OPEN)
General | Posted 6 years agoHey folks! The other day, I drew up a cute little barn owl/fox gryphon, and I as I cannot find a way to work him into my current cast of characters, I'd like to give him a new home!
You can check him out on Twitter here!
If you're in the market for a new adoptable character, I'd be honored if you give this one some consideration. :>

Updates, Shinies, and THINGS!
General | Posted 6 years agoOK, been a while since I've given y'all an update, so I might as well do that now. As the title implies, I have decided to enable Shinies! I don't expect anything to come of it, but we'll see what happens.
Second order of business: I just got my associate's of science! I graduated at the end of May, and just received my diploma in the mail the other day. Now before you ask "Evander, that's great! When are you getting a job in your field?!", I have another update (it just keeps coming, doesn't it? :P). I am going to Australia for a year on a work and holiday visa at the end of July. Now, don't worry, I'm bringing my tablet and laptop with me so I can draw when I'm not working or sight-seeing, so you won't have to miss out on any new artsy things I decide to thrust upon y'all's poor souls. I'm already infrequent about when I post pictures, so it probably won't make too much of a difference anyway. xD

Updates!
General | Posted 6 years agoSo, some of you already know, but for those that don't, I switched over to Linux Mint a few weeks ago, and that is not without its set of issues. I had issues with my tablet (now resolved thanks to help from some friends), and now I'm having issues getting my usual art software, Clip Studio Paint, working correctly. The result of these two combined is that I haven't been making art as much as I would like to, at least not digitally.
For the moment, I have been trying Krita, and after a bit of messing with the layout of the tools, I'm starting to warm up to it, although I'm not totally sold on it yet. I still need to figure out how to make a good pen tool, because I absolutely hate the default ones. I also need to mess around with some keybinds, but that's comparatively minor.
Assuming nothing major comes up, I shoooould have something new up here in a few weeks. Maybe. We'll see.

Still Alive! Updates!
General | Posted 7 years agoSo, yes, I am still alive. Things have just been taxing for me in the last few months between school and monetary worries, which has limited my artistic output to sketches and ideas that I probably won't be posting here for the most part. I will be back with more art.... soon-ish. I can't really say for sure when I'll be trying to post stuff more regularly, but it will probably be here in a week or two after finals have finished.
Another major update, related to aforementioned monetary worries, is that I am considering opening myself up for commissions. I don't have any timeline on when that will be a thing, or even if it will be a thing, but I do know that I've got expenses and working $8.00/hr at a grocery store is not going to pay for them all. :|
Anyway, I just thought I'd give y'all an update on things. It's not fair to y'all to go silent without much of an explanation, and I do apologize for not giving more notice about things.

Collaborations and Art Trades
General | Posted 7 years agoSo, I've decided that, in the interest of artistic growth and an ever-lasting quest of learning, I'd open myself up for art trades and collaborations.
Art Trades
Art trades are simple and self explanatory, but I would prefer if potential trade partners were of a similar skill level, to ensure a fair trade. Send me a note here on FA if you'd like to set one up.
While I will try to be timely with art trades, please be understanding and patient if delays come up. With a busy college and work schedule, I often find myself physically and emotionally fatigued and might not be in a state where I can draw at any given time.
Collaborations
This is the big one I'm excited for. I love working with other artists on pieces, especially when there's something to take away from the experience, be it new tips and tricks for a particular program, better organizational skills, or just new ways of doing things. Like art trades, I would prefer artist(s) of similar skill level, but I will also be looking at whether or not my style would be compatible with any potential collaborator's. Like with art trades, please send me a note here on FA, and we can discuss the details.
