Finished work on 3 costumes tonight, just need to glue in some teeth on one tomorrow and it's all ready to go. Have caffeinated 24 pounds of soap, molded, trimmed, polished, wrapped, and labeled all of it, and it's packed in boxes. Created full signage for the table, as well as hall flyers, and packed about 60 free samples in individual baggies, to hand out around the con. Confirmed the 4(possibly 5) panels I'm speaking at, and have literature printed and ready for that, as well as created a display board showcasing the materials I'm discussing. Need to unpack 2 more costumes to speak about, as well.

It's been a pretty productive day, but once again, I'm going to bed wishing I had accomplished more.

Tomorrow I'd like to get some drawing done, but I doubt it'll happen. I'm pretty sad that I didn't have time to create those stickers I wanted to bring along to hand out to people. Maybe I'll just slam some coffee now and see how far I can get on them.

Calling it "Sugar Candy," tinted it a creamy cantaloupe orange. Poured 10 bars and 11 little sample bars, so it'll be super duper special edition at RainFurrest this coming weekend if anyone's curious.

I don't dance much. Uncoordinated Fat Girl Syndrome, unless there's alcohol involved, in which case it's still UFGS, but I don't care anymore.

Sorry for being gone for so long, it's been a pretty hectic year. We just moved, but I figure with a convention coming up this weekend, I should probably have some kind of current content on my FA.

We're getting settled into our new place, and have picked back up with fursuit making. At the moment, we're finishing repairs to  brighton's "Brighton" suit, and my own Mome Rath. I still have one commission piece owed (husky partial), so that's also on the slate.

I've only really managed a few small pieces this last year. No new suits, just a little plush creation here or there, and most of those have been modified versions of existing patterns.

Although! I have been drawing, which is notable because I usually, you know, don't draw. Maybe I'll even be brave and post some of it to FA some day when I have access to a scanner (the bar in mine came off of the track during the move, so it's dead).

 brighton and I made this for dinner, and you have to try it. Even if you don't cook much it's really easy and serves 4-6 people (or lots of leftovers for the 2 of us).

Thanksgiving Cassrole:

1lb of turkey meat (we took ours off of some turkey legs we cooked the night before). Cook thoroughly and chop into cubes. I've done this with chicken as well and it's just as good - brown it in a skillet with some butter and you're all good.
1 box of turkey stuffing
1 box of chicken stuffing
1 blush or green apple, we used Braeburn tonight but I've also used Cameo and Fuji. As long as it has firm flesh it'll work, so no Red Delicious. Granny Smith are nice and tangy.
1/2 sweet onion
3 stalks of celery
butter - lots of butter.

Preheat oven to 350. Chop the apple, onion, and celery into 1/2" pieces and sautee until the onions and celery take on a transparent look. Set them aside. Prepare the stuffing according to box directions, mixing in the meat and sauteed veggies. Put it all in a casserole dish and slide into the oven for 20 minutes, just long enough to get a nice crispy crust on the top.

-A blue husky head and tail set. He has different colored eyes. Ooooh. More blue dogs OH NO, I thought Brighton would have been the death of me.

-A ragdoll kitty with giant blue eyes, a head (and tail?!) set. I hope I get to put a million whiskers on it. Fluffy.

-A siamese colored bunny (partial, a spec suit for Furbid). Is there a proper name for this coloration?

-Matching toony Asian dragon heads, no idea what the commissioner wants yet but I am very excited to be doing dragons. DRAGONS.

Finished Huckleberry my moose and wore her at Bellfurs yesterday, it was way fun. I'm sanding the nose for Trail Mix the husky tonight and hope to have it finished soon and off my shelf, I decided to give it a cranky expression and I love it. Sadly, if Beef Jerky isn't going to be around much longer I will probably end up selling Trail Mix to help pay my rent, I could use the money right now.

I have a dragon head just about ready to fur which will be made into a partial. Open to name suggestions for a dragon that's butterscotch, red, and black colored.

I'm back at it, building more furries. This time it's an absolutely adorable girl moose! The head is about halfway done, I'm furring it now and she is easily the cutest costume I've ever made. The body will be plain brown, digitigrade, and she'll have little hoof hands and clompy hoof feets. Since it's a girl moose I don't have to do antlers, so she's coming along very quickly. I'd like to have her done by the end of the month.

And she's using up all of the spare supplies I've had cluttering around my and  brighton's apartments.

I've been calling her Juneau, but I'm not sure if that name will stick. Maybe some other Alaskan or Washingtonian name, although Washington isn't really known for it's moose population.

But yeah, I will have both a moose and a bear when I'm done with this, my third personal suit.

-Back from FC, all limbs accounted for. I think most of the fursuit parts survived too. Car appears to have some weird rotor noise but that's for  brighton to sort out.

-Still sick! Lingering headcold after all of the con crud finally let me go. Man I can't wait to have my sense of smell back.

- matrices is out of town for the weekend for sled dogs. Jealous!

-Bellfurs this weekend. Might go, might not, depends on how we're feeling.

Klickitat is kicking some serious ass in the year she was created! First she made the Fursuit Calendar, and tonight she took Runner's Up in the Novice category in FC's Masquerade! Novice category winner went to Godric by  reveille ( http://www.madcoyote.com/~reveille/godric/ ), an incredible "Chinese Fireball" dragon with an unholy amount of handsewn inlay patterns and designs in the fur.

And I made sure the announcer credited both Klickitat and Brighton to NorthSound. :3

By popular demand I'm bringing my Con*Tact caffeine soap to Further Confusion this year! I have a very limited supply, and once it's gone, that's it. Does caffeine soap really work? HECK YES! I make it using a low-sweat totally plain soap, cut with a decent amount of Shea soap for added moisturizing. Not only will this stuff wake you up but it's one of the nicest soaps you'll use, the lather is really thick and creamy. Heh, creamy. The active ingredient (pure caffeine) is absorbed through your skin while you shower, and feels just a little tingly, in a cool kind of way. I've been producing this for going on three years and have had many great reports from people surprised at how well it works.



Anyways, my experience with the caffeine soap is that it wakes you up in a very smooth kind of way, like your eyes are easier to keep open and you feel less "sleepy heavy." An average shower gives you a little less caffeine than a cup of coffee (<200mg), but doesn't turn your stomach upside down like an energy drink first thing in the morning. I don't reccomend drinking a bunch of Red Bull after using my soap, but trust me, you won't need it.

Does one of your roommates refuse to shower? Tempt him with my soap, tell him that all the cool kids are using Con*Tact (because they are!) One bar of Con*Tact should last the duration of the convention and take care of up to 4 people, but everyone's shower time and soap usage are different. I'm planning on dedicating one bar for our room and that should be more than enough to last the weekend among the 4 of us. Each bar is about the size of a standard store-brand bar of soap, like Irish Spring or Dove. Better yet, when you're done with the soap there is a PRIZE inside! Your reward for staying clean could be anything from a plastic ninja to a glow in the dark frog. :3

Whatever doesn't sell I am planning on using for trades because I absolutely adore con badges and sketchbook art!

Rich Lime: my most popular, makes the shower smell like a lime popsicle, bright green soap cast in a pawprint mold.
Sapphire Dragon: a warm, sweet earthy scent blending incense, black amber, and lavendar, a bright blue soap cast in a dragon mold.
Jurassic Daiquiri: tropical pineapple and cilantro blend, a purple soap cast in various dinosaur molds.
