It's like ... how romantic does the gift have to be? How much should I be spending? I've made him gifts for christmas, his birthday AND our 1 year anniversary ... should I make him something again or buy something or both? I'd like to do both but ugh time constraints and whatnot. I'm on a budget too |C ... even more difficult! Should it be something he'd actually get use out of, or something silly and small and pointlessly cute and romantic? I don't know. I just really do not know.

I'm hoping to practise drawing a little more, and while I'm taking a bit of a break from work (or trying to ... I'm so far behind it's going to take an awful lot to catch up) I'd like to offer you the chance to get some free art of your character(s?).

All you have to do is post a comment on this journal with a link to a ref of your character, though it cannot be mature content as I have this filter turned on. ... I'm not interested in your furry porn, thanks.

I'm going to mainly be using traditional media but hey ... never know what will happen. I'd love to be able to offer art commissions more than I currently do, so I'd like to get the practise in.

There are no restrictions except for the fact I will only draw PG rated art. I'd be much happier to draw a character if you give me some details of pose/etc. as I really hate deciding this for myself! It may be black an white, or colour, or in a variety of media - that's all up to me.

You must also be watching me if you'd like to see it - I will not let you know if I drew your character, I'm sorry but I really don't have the time to be hunting people's pages down to let you know ... please just keep an eye out. I'm an incredibly busy person, you might get free art, after all!

It's been like 3 weeks since I told you guys I'll be out-of-action for a while, and just wanted to update you that I'm still far from back to work. I go through good and bad days, but essentially I'm just suffering really very heavily with anxiety and depression. It's affecting my ability to work at school as well as on commissions, and everything I normally enjoy, I don't any more. I can't take a break by playing some games or reading a book, because I don't even have the ability to enjoy that any more. It's really very difficult keeping up with my life and I hope you all understand that I'm really just not in a place where I can produce new work to show you guys here.

Unfortunately, I've only just made it home from work, we are going out (everyone's been at work today and it's been hot and stressful so nobody can be bothered to cook) which won't be 'til a bit later on, but I want to have a little time to myself too and I'm really not up for livestreaming. I'll be finishing sewing up the fur pieces for a head (Mexy) and then glueing it on, so it's a great opportunity to see the difference between the foam base and the added fur of a head - you can really watch it come to life!

I have a really bad headache and can't work, but I got sent this. Enjoy.

I'm finally home from my holiday and half of it wasn't much of a holiday. I had a lot of fun most of the time but it was also exhausting, and I went through both personal issues and problems with the family I was staying with over there. But I arrived home yesterday which means I can resume work soon.

However, where I planned to return and continue with work immediately, I received some very distressing news about a close family member literally just after the plane landed at 7am yesterday morning, so until I'm both coming to terms with what's happened, as well as helping other family etc, I won't yet be working.

I will update when I can work again, as well as details of what I will be doing and when I can open a few more slots. I have 2 pending commissions which will be taken and completed before any slots are available.

So I want to apologise yet again for my lack of work. I'm in my final year of my A levels which is the toughest year yet, especially when striving to get the top grades. I just handed in a coursework project that I spent every waking minute for 3 weeks on, as well as continuous work over the course of the year, and I've just done a 3 day exam that's pushed one of my 4 subjects out fo the way. My extra-curricular business class has ended so I'm starting to clear up. It's just coursework subjects left (3 units of work) and one exam which I need to revise for.

Once all of this is over I'll have an extra-long summer break where I can hopefully get everything out of the way.

Thanks for being patient with me, it's a major struggle getting things done in time especially battling the stress-related illnesses that seem to be coming with it constantly.

So, I've been asked this question a LOT lately. Often, this is followed by 'Can I have a slot?'' or ''Can you save me a slot?''

... I need to answer this question here so everyone can see it.

I have no idea when I will be able to re-open commissions - I do state that I work on these outside of my college work, which determines my future, and therefore it needs to take priority. I cannot possibly give approximate dates, deadlines, etc. because I just don't know how my college work load will be at any one time. I'm still catching up from some commissions even from last year - I'm currently in a lot of backlog and keeping up with this is really taking it's toll on me.

I'm doing all that I can to get these commissions out for their customers, as well as be able to take more commissions for those who have been patiently waiting.

Furthermore, my next few commissions are planned out - I even have some supplies for some of them. I cannot take anybody's commissions until these promised ones are done.

However, I do not usually offer a waiting list. It's because it's friends and/or I really liked the design, and I don't want to lose the commission. This is not normal procedure and I will not be offering this service in the future. And it's because of this that, when I'm asked ''Can I be put on your waiting list?'' or ''Can you save me a slot?'', no. I'm afraid I really can't. I can't keep track of a waiting list, and if I did, it would be as long as my arm.

It's because of this that, each time I open for a new queue of commissions, unless you've been previously offered a quote (more recently, not 2 years ago or something) that my prices are going to be rising. I don't get anywhere near as much profit for them as the time I put in, and with so much demand, I could be earning more than I am. And I'm having to also take a part-time job on saturdays because my commissions do not provide me with anywhere near enough money for what I need.

So in a nutshell:
No, I do not know when I will be opening commissions
And no, I cannot add you to a waiting list or save you a slot when I next open. My demand is much too high for this and I can't keep track.
