I hope so, it's been like 2 years since I've done anything here anyways. There's reasons for that, and they're not exactly pretty or pleasant, so let's get them out of the way.
Younger brother passed away in 2023 as previous journals mentioned, and the end of that year and then the following year - 2024, was kind of an up/down rollercoaster, but I did eventually find my feet, got back out in the world, and made 2024 alright up into the election.
Then 2025 started, what a shit-show that's been amiright? Well, it can always get worse I learned, my Father passed-away in his sleep back in April, and that was a sucker-punch I still feel today. It hurts, it doesn't feel fair - but at least he's with my brother now, and them both not having to experience what we are here in the US is in some way a 'blessing in disguise', if I even want to call it that (buncha' religious fruitcakes)

Anyways, why am I saying all this? why make a journal now?
I guess I just wanted to say "I'm not dead yet" and I might even poke around a little more, or not, who really knows?
But that's it for what I wanted to say, or at least it feels that way. I do also have a small backlog of uploads to share so you'll likely see me submit pieces over the weekend, I'll try to do it chronologically so that my gallery is back to up-to-date, and maybe I'll even start getting commissions here towards the fall.

Didn't want to leave anyone on a cliff-hanger from the last journal here, but we did end up losing my brother to cancer half-way through July, nearly 5 months after the initial stroke. It's been a few weeks now and everyday is still a little different than the prior - some harder, some not so much.
Family is adjusting about the same, we do have resources made available to us for counseling and such if we choose to act on it, so don't worry about that, it's just something that will take time ultimately.
I'm not planning on going anywhere, even with FA's up/down decision making the last few weeks or w/e, but I guess what I'm trying to say is don't be surprised if I'm just quiet with an occasional upload here and there, I do see a lot of new watches and just wanted to say 'hey the page isn't dead, just a bit slow'

Other than that, just don't be another Putin I guess? Do good, treat others well, all that happy-slappy m'kay?

So, used to be I did updates after Paddy's-day, and then I kind of retired that and did one whenever. Well we're well into 2023 and I never did that this year. There's a reason why...

I don't really know how to put this out there, so I'll just do it - aim to keep it short, and move forwards.

My younger brother (by 5 years) had a stroke in February, pretty bad one, and during the usual scans they do after one - they found 'a spot' on his brain. They didn't drop the C word right there, but they let us know what the statistics say about that, wasn't long after that they did give the diagnosis with all the details - it's a malignant 'High Grade GBM' brain tumor, basically means stage 4 brain cancer, of which surgery would be very risky and already carries a greater-than 80% chance full paralysis even if everything went perfect and the immediate family could uproot our daily lives to go be on the other side of the state for months at the Uni that could do it...

Yeah, not great. This was also peak MI winter where we had blizzards every other day and we still had to travel 2 big cities over regardless to get to the specialist/hospital he was at. If there was ever a doubt I couldn't drive the wheels off anything I disproved it day after day, night after night, white-out after white-out. (RIP the salted underside of my Trax...)

However, he is still with us today, and he's very much still him - just in a bit rougher shape. The downhill slope has fortunately been quite flat so far and we don't take a day for granted anymore. Qualified doctors and specialists (believe me, I tested and vested them) have said 'days to weeks', but it's also been months - and when they gave my late Aunt Judy '3 months', she went and set the bar fucking high at 9 years...

So, as I wrap this up to go pick-up some good cuisine for the family when I see him tonight, I'm just going to say one thing for Cancer.

We're going on 3 years, 3 years now of this world being turned upside-down in some fashion, Putin's a god damn pussy with pre-recorded 'live' speechs and looking about ready to cry in his threats. I'm fine, disheartened but otherwise fine, may we all get through this quickly and with as minimal suffering as possible.

So, got that new car ('18 Trax), love it, and been mostly just working to keep everything else afloat, as we all do these days.

Got back into F1 now that there's a proper title-fight, and wanted to get into F1 2021 the game, only to find out it's a DX12-only title.
Que me looking-up how to get Windows 10 after the free upgrade period, and somehow doing so after tripping over a few things, but none the less it's done, bring on Windows 11 in like 4 years I suppose.

And that's about it, just wanted to get that mini Windows frustration off my chest, that's it, carry-on.

Not much to say, just feel like putting up something else and I guess the big thing I can mention is I've had my very first car accident in (what was) a very clean 15+ years of driving.
Winter conditions, terrible road conditions, and a ABS system that doesn't know what it wants to do on snow on top of ice.
Damage to the car is equal to the damage to my ego, it's there but we'll live and move on.
Good excuse to look for a newer car though, which is something I was thinking about doing anyways in spring.
Other than that, same ol' same ol'. Plenty of art I want to get, but we'll see what happens.

As per usual, I usually only find myself with time and drive for these update-journals during holiday breaks, so here we go.

-That online-dating thing?, yeah that's dead, real waste of time in my experience. (Ladies lemme know if you're interested tho' :B)
-Losing weight in a good way, but still getting older and my bones are letting me know.
-Been fortunate enough to keep employment during this hella-messed-up year.
-Art has slowed, mostly because my interests have changed slightly, but still plenty of ideas I want to commission up.
-I have discovered how hard it is to find a reasonably-priced Nintendo Switch.

And that's really about all that's worth mentioning directly, mix in video-games, rest and recreation and it's been an Ok year.
Bring on 2021.

So this 'yearly' journal of mine done in March (it's still not April here!) I usually use as an 'update' journal of sorts, but this year - I want to use it for a different purpose.

Dating, more specifically Online-Dating and the Furry community.

I'd like to hear, from those in the community, what websites and apps would YOU say are 'the best'?
-which ones have you had success with?
-which ones have you found not worth the time?
-which ones have been good in the past, but are otherwise now dead?
And any other input you can provide, I'm honestly just looking for a good reliable place to pursue local online-dating at, if that's even a good path anymore in this crazy year of 2020.
(I know Covid-19 isn't exactly helping things, but I'm still going to keep giving it a go)

-I got injured last year!, but rehab/chiro have kept this body of mine going yet.

So yeah, about a year later, 'holiday' weekend was much better this time around.
