I had ordered part for a project I'm working on from Hobby King. Servos are the important thing to this project and that's the part I really screwed up. I ordered the servos stored in china that would get stuck in customs for however many days it take them to pick their ass (sorry if you work for customs, I'm just venting). Turns out they have a separate item page for the servos stored here in the US. Frustrated venting over.

I had made some ears about 3 weeks ago and those were sorta a major stepping stone for me. Probably they will be used to prototype and modifying the code for them. I made a bunch of mistakes that I will be avoiding with this second, hopefully much nicer, pair of ears.

The circuitry has evolved a bit as well. It started out as a single compact PCB with the DIP socket and headers for the servos, power, and switch. Now I'm cutting a PCB into sections just big enough for each component so I can spread it out a bit and keep some flexibility with the headband.

I plan on selling the first pair I complete. I'm just not so sure where or how it'll be sold.

Aside from planning these meets and slowly writing stuff that won't get posted for months, I've been given several fur scraps and access to some pretty nifty sewing machines. When I say nifty, I mean four machines going from a semi-regular sewing machine to a quilting machine. I've also been experimenting with programmable micro-controllers. I've seen some nifty things done with them in fursuits and other things, so I thought I'd give it a try. Over the course of maybe half an hour I went from not knowing how to thread the machine to having shoddily crafted some ears. Once I get some more parts, I'll try rigging up servos in those suckers. I'm thinking of maybe making and selling these things. Hell, with the equipment I have, I might be able to make my own fursuit.

This journal is sort of for fans and me. Pretty much this shows what I have in the works for my serialized fiction. I'll be keeping track of the progress of what is part of my V'hn'shi Chronicles series, keep things in order, and let all of you know what's available now and when the next chapters will be available. The V'hn'shi Chronicles is several things for me: an experiment, a tool, and a learning device, among other things. My main goal though is to create something that combines character- and plot-driven story to introduce and engulf readers into a world still broken by events of the distant past. There is no ultimate direction for this particular part of V'hn'shi, just an inkling nudge from one thread to the next. YAYAYAYAY new account with a fresh feeling. The old account is a watcher/lurker account now. I'm working on a nice little introductory story for my character Knapaxe. I'm also thinking of putting a chip in link for when people want to throw money at me for my works so I can then throw that money at other people for art. Cheers as I get things set up.
