Hey friends! I just felt like sharing a bit of recent life-junk!
The film job is going great and I've already got a good amount of projects under my belt ranging from full films to advertisements. I've been given the title of "Prop Artist" though I also double as a prop master and set dresser in a pinch. Basically everything that gets held, touched, moved, or is in a room, that was picked out and put there by yours truly! My favorite thing to do though is building unique props, hence my title name.
The next big movie I'm doing start on the 25th, which we will be shooting for 4 weeks, so I'll be gone for most if not all of that time. It's a film that's really close to my heart and I am so thankful that I will be getting to work on it. It follows the life story of judge Harvey Brownstone the first openly out gay Canadian judge. He helped to officiated hundreds of same-sex weddings for those who travelled all the way to Toronto just to get married. Needless to say I am extremely excited for this project!
Speaking of projects though, I feel like I should share what all I've been up to! Here's a list of all I've done/am about to do so far:

What's happening?
So the final day of filming is tomorrow and the next day will be the wrap party! There I will shake hands and get my name out there- hopefully securing my spot for future projects! I am so thankful to my team and for this experience <3 Despite all of the headaches, long hours, tough labor, and micro managing, I look forward to going into this field permanently.

So, what does this mean going forward?
Projects make it so that I could be away for anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks at a time. It can even be back-to-back which means I intend on no longer being a fulltime commission artist. I've actually wanted to step away for years now due to burn out, but couldn't do so as the job market where I live is legit nonexistent. I haven't been able to snag anything for over two years despite interviews and applications by the dozens. This is what I feel like I need to do at this stage in my life regardless of the numerous voice who keep telling me I can't. I'm living my life for me now!

What about the artwork?
All pieces I owe will either be completed over the next couple of weeks or be fully refunded. My sincerest apologies for those waiting on their pieces! ;*; If anyone has any questions at all about their commissions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me!

Outside of the commissions, I do plan on still drawing! (honestly you can't stop me even if you tried XD) It will just be personal art moving forward or maybe possibly (don't quote me on this) the rare occasional ych/adopt or something of the like! I feel like this will really help me recover creatively and allow me to express myself instead of stressing out about having to afford medical bills and food for my kitty.

Hey everyone! I wanted to let all of you know that my job in film is picking up, and now I've got a job working on a Christmas Hallmark film!
This means I'll be gone for quite sometime on location, so to my commissioners- I haven't forgotten! I'll be sure to get back to work on them as soon as I am physically able to!
I am so excited to work on another project with my team <3 Wishing each and every single one of you the very best!

Had something major come up family wise and I'm in Arizona. I really thought I'd be back home by now, so I didn't share right away. I'll be flying back home on Thursday and will be able to resume work on commissions!

Hey everybody! I'm having trouble holding my phone so I'm going to keep it brief. I just want to let you know that my surgery went exceptionally well and I'm in recovery! No problems or completions!
It'll be a long road towards full recovery, but I am very content. I know everything will be alright ☺️

I want to give a massive thank you to everyone who donated, commissioned, shared, and offered words of encouragement, kindness, and love. In these dark times, it is so easy to just want to give up entirely. The world is a total dumpster fire, but life is worth fighting for 💚

I will be going under the blade March 24th, so I aim to finish all owed work before then! After that, I'll have a 6 month recovery time. I'll do my best to take it easy and heal both body and spirit. Remember, existence is defiance! 💛🤍💜🖤 🏳️‍🌈

Hey everyone! I wanted to go ahead and give one last update on where I'm at. As it stands I am only $394 away from my funding goal! The last two grand I will be getting a loan for which I'm guaranteed as both of my godparents are cosigning it.
I've already paid the deposit and have my surgery scheduled for the 24th of March! I seriously can't believe after all these years it's finally happening QwQ It hasn't really sunk in yet because I have to pay the rest of it off before the cut, but when it's done I'll be crying my eyes out from relief!! TTuTT
I once again want to thank everyone who has helped and supported me on my journey. I am so grateful I can't even being to express 💚

I woke up not feeling so good and took some medicine. I ended up getting worse, so for funsies I took a COVID test and I passed! :,D

Tomorrow I'm going to get another test just to be sure- but considering I have all the symptoms (minus fever) I'm betting buckets it's correct.

I will not be able to work on commissions until I come out of quarantine, so I'm sorry for the delays.
