(Yao along with the majority of my characters live in a modern fantasy world, much like the real world but with fantasy elements tied in, i'll g into that more later)
Yao's family tree is very complex, however, to sum it up, Yao's great grandfather is a half ogre, half panda, and his most of his descendants serve as monks in a small village in a valley under the Tibetan mountain range. Yao's grandfather however left home before fathering his two sons, one of whom became Yao's father.
Yao was the second born of his family, and, not only was he a hybrid, he was gifted with the rare ability to use magic from birth. Despite the initial elation for his abilities, his parents soon discovered how dangerous they could be. At 3 years old Yao began dealing with magical backup, which would usually cause harmless effects, like a very small teleporting pandacat, however, there were times when things would simply explode for no reason. It was these sort of instances that gave Yao a bad reputation during his early life, and made for a hard time in school. He became used to being picked on and treated like a monster until highschool.
Once he left public school however Yao found the world was actually a much friendlier place than he imagined, after meeting his mate Garvan and beginning at a school that taught sorcery as a subject, Yao's life became vastly better. Currently he attends school and lives with his boyfriend in an apartment in the city, sharing it with his three kids (usually)

Posted 10 years agoListen up, things are about to get real serious for me, i’m moving out, real soon, and on the plus side, no more dealing with my abusive parents and i’ll have time to work on art. BAD news is, i’m losing my job because of moving. SO, i’m going to be opening commissions and doing YCH work to supposrt myself. Basically, the more commissions and work i get, the more time i can spend making content

Posted 11 years agoI dunno why but i feel like im not doing something that i should be doing on here, i mean i barely get any real attention, and even when i get noticed i dont get any feedback. even when i try to actually approach people i get ignored or brushed off 60% of the time...i dont normally like to complain but i'm really feeling discouraged..
