Heya everyone, thought I'd go ahead and post an update here just for general watcher-eyes and also commissioners to see since I know I've been a little quiet lately :>

First of all, I've moved! More specifically I've moved in with my friend  TheFoxNinja17, which is pretty cool. Huuuuuuuge thank you to everyone who's been really patient with me lately while I get life re-sorted and back on track right now🙏🏻

Aside from that, what's been going on? Well, a lot, and most of it sucky. Patrons get more regular updates on what's happening in my life and know all of the juicy in-and-outs of my personal life, but for everyone else I'll just leave it brief and set sights on better things to come. So let's talk about that!

Valentines day is here! In fact, it might already be by the time you're reading this! March is going to be a month for me to get caught up on owed art and also start preparing for April/Summer stuff that'll be coming. But also this year my Patreon is getting a refresh and grand reopening come March 1! Keep an eye out for that update that will be dropping then with all the details. I'm sort of revamping everything to hopefully run a bit more smoothly from here on out, so send your best for a smooth transition to a better experience! And to all of my absolutely fabulous patrons - you know who you are! - thank you, as always, for being one of the great treasures in my life. It is truly a gift to receive the amount of support from you that I do.

Given some of the sucky-er aforementioned happenings I briefly touched on, I'll be doing some new deals and sales soon so that I can start saving up for a more permanent housing situation. My poor puppy broke his leg last week so that's set me back a bit, but he's on the mend now and any well-wishes that could come his way would be more than appreciated right now! I will still need to save up to pay for his surgery costs at pickup however so commissions will be re-opening pretty soon too. But like I said in the meantime you can expect to see some new YCHes that'll be hot off the griddle soon enough :>

Okay, to be fair, I wasn't really gone. Just working 'backstage', if you couldn't tell by the massive art dump I just piled on you lovely folks. :B

That being said, HELLO friends! I apologize for the upload pause. As some of you know (and if you didn't, now you do) I had oral surgery in January and spent much of the month recovering from the entire ordeal. For the last couple of weeks now though, I've been super sick first with strep throat, and then with the flu which I'm still recovering from. So it's been overall just an icky time. Also, after getting a little bit behind on uploads I just kind of...got a little overwhelmed by the idea, orz ;;

All else is well on this end and now that I am caught up with posting things here and letting you guys know that I am still amongst the living, it is time for a much-needed update on a few changes that will be happening along with the schedule for the next couple of months.

First of all, as of this update on 2/18, I will no longer be accepting commissions publicly for the foreseeable future. I will reflect this change on my front page soon. This is something I have been wanting to do for quite some time, and something I am happy to say I am even able to do thanks to the amazing support I receive from my Patreon community. From this point on, I won't be taking on any new custom commission work from non-patrons. Please note this does NOT included YCHes and weekend sketches, whenever I open them! They will still be uploaded on a regular basis and available to you guys whenever I get the chance. I may also, occasionally, open commission slots via a journal entry, so please keep an eye out if you ever have the interest!

Something I need to try to get better about is updating my actual Patreon page with content more often. I don't often think to, because almost all of my activity takes place within my Telegram group chat for supporters and they see everything there, but I'll do my best to make it look...not so dusty. I promise, it's active! I am just a lazy butt and often forget to actually post on the website itself.

Now that that's out of the way, here's what's on the schedule for the next couple of months!

February has...essentially all but come and passed now, BUT if you were paying attention you may have caught that I did two some lovely vally-day YCHes for some of my amazing supporters! They were snatched up quick and I didn't have much to show to the public, sorry about that! I do have one more thing, and it's a YCH comic, that I will be uploading here today, so keep an eye out if you're looking for a belated gift for a loved one!

Besides that, the rest of this month will just be spent with me getting myself caught up and back in order with how sick I've been.

I hope this update finds you warm as we situate into the winter months. ☃️

I've been a little lackluster at updating journals, sorry about that! It's never been something I tend to keep up with much (especially since all of my updates are generally discussed in my Patreon chat) but I'll try to get back to keeping the general public in-the-know, especially with a new year coming up on us. This will likely be the last public journal update I post until 2023, so I will try to keep things short while covering all of my bases.

So, what's been up?

Well, let's start with the downs - or rather, what's been slowing ME down a bit. I'll keep this short and sweet: I need my wisdom teeth removed, ASAP. Infection after infection has caused me to slow down both in work and in my personal life and has hindered me from doing a lot of what a I love without worry I am going to have an agonizing flair up. I had surgery scheduled for January but after seeing my oral surgeon for an emergency visit earlier this past Tuesday, he is going to try to get me in sooner rather than later as this really can't wait any longer than it already has and won't get better at this point until they are out of my face. My apologies if you've had to wait longer than usual for me to get artwork uploaded, especially this week; while I can't promise there will be NO future delays, this should all situate itself out once I have this issue dealt with soon. I've spent the last two days sleeping off this infection while hammering down frosty after frosty. :'D Your patience is really, really appreciated at this time.

Alright, with that out of the way, now we can talk about the schedule for the rest of the year.

As of today, regular commissions will be closed indefinitely to the public. They will still be available to Patreon patrons, but I will not reopen them again until 2023. This change has been reflected on my front page - please be advised! This does not include Weekend Wing-Its or YCH sales, and these will continue as usual. Keep an eye out for these promotions if you would like to get a piece of art from me at a discounted price.

NOVEMBER
For the rest of November, things will pretty quiet and uploads may slow down just a bit - I am going to focus the rest of this month into working on the bigger commissions I have left (two comics and a reference sheet) so that I will have all of the big stuff out of the way for the holiday season. I may (and it's a BIG maybe) do a silly turkey-day themed YCH if any ideas stick, but no promises quite yet.

DECEMBER
Once we get into December, I will begin to roll out holiday-themed YCHes and promotions! I am going to try to save up this month both for my impending surgery and to see my family - of which I have not seen since Oct 2021 - so there will be plenty to grab up (as long as my patrons don't grab 'em first!) The beginning of this month will be very fast paced. Also, as an important notice: I will not be available at ALL from December 17 through December 23rd! I will close my notes here on FA and will not be available on Telegram or anywhere else. This is my period of relaxation and restoration with family and friends to prepare for a bountiful long, new year. 💪

I won't get too ahead of myself into January right now - that's still a ways away, as far as these things go. But I will say that my Patreon will be getting an overhaul for the better, along with my commission prices. As always, my patrons will be the first to hear about this - and if YOU would like to stay in-the-know, [please consider joining us]! We would love to have you ;3

This'll be a pretty short, straight-forward journal, as there isn't a whole lot to address.

First of all, whew! We are over half-way through the year and I am more than excited for fall to come already. It's crazy how fast 2022 is flying by and I'm sure I'm not the first or the last person to say that. Still, what's up for July?

More summer fun! I'm working in the background on a new batch of summer themed YCHes that will go up to patrons this week, and the public soon after. I'd like to do more beach/pool themed stuff, but I'm open for suggestions if anyone has any to share.

That brings me to my next point: Patreon! I've been trying to gauge how to best draw more interest in, and so things will be done a little differently from now on. All patron rewards will be uploaded to Patreon two weeks before they are released to the public, likely on the 15th of the following month. There will be teasers posted on FA in the meantime. I've been doing a little bit of background planning as well on some Patreon exclusive stuff, so do keep an eye out for that sometime in the coming few weeks. I can't say anything just yet, but perhaps there'll be a poll to decide on some fan art or such. I've also been trying to upload there a bit more frequently; most all of what I do is done in my Telegram chat, so it's easy for me to forget to actually...use the website, sometimes. Oof. x'D

Lastly, I'd like to talk a little bit about same-day sketches; this is something I have been doing (almost) every Friday the last few months, and it's been a fantastic way to meet new clients and draw some really, REALLY fun characters. That being said, I've always promised that they'd be completed by 12am (midnight) my time. This is, unfortunately, not really feasible for me with the way my schedule has changed recently. I don't want to see the quality of my work decrease, so from now on, Flash Friday/Same-Day sketches will be completed within 24 hours of payment being received. This will allow me to take my time and save me from a lot of stress while still being a great way to get fast, good art at a great price ^v^

June wasn't nearly as productive as I'd have liked it to be, sadly. :[ It was a very stressful month for me IRL and some Stuff going on in the background of my life have slowed things down just a tad more than I'd have liked, though I still did plenty of artwork. I'd like to believe, though, that July will be much more fast-paced once I get out of this little slump I'm in right now. :'D I'm currently dealing with a nasty wisdom tooth infection as well, so that's been a joy. Yay!

I'll leave this update by sending my love out to those who need it right now; the state of the world is crappy and everyone is tired, but I know that we'll get through it together 💪

It's the first of the month, which means it's time for another journal update! This one much warmer than the last, now that the midwest has finally thawed out :B

I'd like to start this month's update with a quick apology: I mentioned that there would be Iron Artist sketches and there were none! Sorry about that. Between sketching/working on the new YCHes/Patreon rewards/regular comms there was little time left to reasonably squeeze them in, so they'll have to wait for another time. I'm sure the opportunity will come around soon enough, though, so stay tuned ;>

Mayternity came and went fast (heck, this whole year did), I can barely wrap my head around it being June! So what does that entail? PRIDE! Summer fun! Camping, pool parties, and beaches abound! That brings us to our next point of discussion.

I'm taking suggestions on what you guys would like to see this month! Beach-themed YCHes? A large pool party YCH? Maybe a camp-out underneath the stars! Or, maybe some cute, kinky pride stuff? I'm open to hearing out any and all recommendations that my wonderful patrons and viewers have, so please don't be shy ^u^ Tell me what you'd like to see this summer! The summer themes will likely continue all the way into July, so there's plenty of options to go over and consider. If you've got some, drop 'em in the comments below!

I hope spring has found you warm and well 🌼

I am going to try to do better about keeping journals at least semi-active here on FA! This means that I'm going to start doing monthly updates at the beginning of each month :D

So, what's new? Well, let's start with something not exactly brand new but still fresh: if you haven't noticed, I launched my Patreon at the beginning of April! It's worked wonders for my productivity and has allowed me to chat with some incredibly kind, passionate people who have given me some really awesome lovely characters to draw already. If you haven't checked it out yet and you work with me on a regular basis (or would like to), it's totally worth considering. There are loads of fantastic perks that come with being a patron such as pre-claiming YCHes and same-day slots, access to polls, WIPs no one else sees, exclusive artwork, quarterly events, and more. With that out of the way, May is one of my favorite times of year; the birds are singing, the flowers are in full-bloom, and the world is beginning to warm up again. And best of all, that means Mayternity is under way! If you are a patron, you already knew that there were some ideas we threw around on how to celebrate Mayternity 2022. Let's talk about what's to come!

I have four new YCHes that will be going up on FA later today, all pregnancy themed, along with plans later in the month for a group YCH! Patrons will get a first look at this and will probably even help me decide the overall theme, and once it's ready it'll be up for the world to see.

For all my time I have spent doing art I have always wanted to do this, and so this year I finally am: Iron Artist! I will be doing pregnancy-themed sketches at their discounted prices over the course of the month, so stay tuned if you are interested in grabbing a slot. All of the info will be posted in a graphic to my gallery this week, so keep your eyes peeled :)

Lastly, I've made a few adjustments to my schedule lately and wanted to take a moment to talk about that.

My entire time online doing artwork I have always had a way that I did art that I thought worked for me. I would sit down and work on a piece start-to-finish, sketch to lines to color to shading, without stopping. This made it difficult to send WIPs out for approval, and now that I am a full-time artist, this method is no longer efficient or even remotely viable at all for me. Truthfully I have my Patreon chat to thank for this, since I have to have something a lot of the time to show there, and if I kept doing things this way that'd be almost impossible to keep up with my work. So I've developed a new plan for work that is going to make things SO much easier from here on out in the form of a weekly schedule! It goes a little something like this:

Monday: Sketching
Tuesday: Lineart
Wednesday: Color
Thursday: Color/Shade
Friday: Same-Day Sketches
Saturday: No work
Sunday: No work

This is going to help me work as efficient as I have been lately without completely burning myself out like I have in years prior <3 I'm very excited to see how much better it'll be for my productivity! I've started slacking a bit on updating my Trello, which is something that I will try to be better about as well. I'm going to go through it this evening and clean it up so everything there is accurate.

That about wraps up this update! I will be taking tomorrow off (I like to try and take the first Monday of every month off for an extra day to relax and unwind) as well as the 10th since it is my birthday :)

Hi everyone!

I wanted to wait a couple of days before making this journal because such a thing as 48-hour-bugs exist, but it would seem that that is unfortunately not the predicament I am in; I'm sick! I have been since Sunday afternoon. :<

While I'm a lot better off now than I was earlier in the week, I'm still struggling to focus on work. What started as seemingly a stomach bug and fever has transformed into an ugly head-and-neck migraine that doesn't seem to stave unless I lay in complete darkness with a wet rag over my eyes. Looking at any kind of screen for too long is a no-no. Along with that, I'm still struggling with a bit of lingering nausea and weakness, and an overall feeling of unwell-ness. I did take a COVID test though, and it was negative (thank goodness), so I'm hoping that as we close the week I will be well again very soon!

Although this is causing me to have delays that I would not normally be struggling with, I'd like to remain as transparent as possible with my clients and keep you up to date! Please be kind if work is not getting done quite as fast as you and I would like in the coming days, and if notes are not being responded to as quickly as they generally are. I WILL be continuing to work at this time, although perhaps at a slower pace than normal. I am tentatively hoping that everything returns to normal by Monday's arrival at the latest.

Thank you for understanding! I still have some pretty exciting announcements to bring to the public, but I'm afraid this has set them back at least a few days. :( However, I'm certain your patience will be rewarded with what is to come soon.

As I try to start doing things the right way and move into doing artwork full-time, it is really important that the way I do business is both as efficient and comfortable for me as possible. As such, I need to make a small announcement to present and future clients!

Effective immediately, I will be enforcing my [Terms of Service] and conducting all commission communication through FA notes. This includes but is not limited to any edits that need to be made, any WIPs that need to be sent, and any files that need to be delivered.

This starts right now, at the making and uploading of this journal entry! As of this very moment in time, all communication between myself and my clients that is commission-related will be relayed through FA notes OR email [KnottyCommissions@gmail.com] ONLY. This is not negotiable in any way (yes, even if we were communicating through a chat client just moments ago!). Hey y'all! Hope everyone is stayin' warm this week; it's been non-stop snowing for days where I live :'D

Before we hit the much-anticipated weekend I wanna drop a question to you lovely bunch, one that I've been considering frequently as of late. My content has always varied slightly over different subject matters, but at the end of the day I've always drawn things that I personally find appealing. Given that I am now doing artwork full-time and churning out content like never before, I want to continue to provide fresh ideas and content for both old and new watchers and clients! So what I'd really like to know is:

What kind of content would you like to see from me in the future?

If there's a specific fetish or concept you'd like to see from me more often, now is the time to let me know! More preg? More bondage? More ferals? Something I've never drawn before? I want to know YOUR thoughts!

Hey all! I hope everyone had a fantastic new year and you all are staying warm.

First and foremost, I would like to take the time to personally thank everyone who's been patient with me. Whether you waited for a commission to be completed, or to be received, or you've just been anticipating more art to enjoy, from the bottom of my heart: thank you. I am thankful to have such wonderful support for what I create.

Without going into too many personal details, it’s been a very difficult year. As I am sure all of you experienced as well, ‘21 was a challenging time - both physically and mentally. Alongside all of that, I moved across the country (for the first time!) and have been doing my best setting up my new home. Everything is starting to look towards the sun!

Considering the future, I’d like to talk about some changes that I’m going to be making - for the better! I’m happy to announce that I can now return to doing furry art as a full-time job! I do still have rent and bills to consider, but I enjoy doing art for clients more than any other position I’ve ever had.

I'll be separating points by sections so that you'll have no doubt as to what's going to be changing on this account from here on out!


WAIT TIMES

With everything happening in the past couple of years, my wait times have increased to the point where I am honestly very dissatisfied with them. Previously, it has felt like I am scrambling to keep up, but now that I am in a safe and stable environment, and ready to return to art full time, I would like to immediately correct this and do my best to deliver art in a timely manner from here on out. If you’ve been following my work the last couple of weeks, you’ve probably seen that things are getting completed rather quickly - this is the pace I would like to keep, so:

For YCHes, I intend to have individual images completed within 2 weeks of the invoice being paid. If delivery takes longer than this, you may be eligible for a refund, and should note me to discuss this.

Of course, there is no guarantee that ‘22 will be roses and not thorns, so in the case of personal tragedy, sudden trips, or other timesinks, I will immediately inform my clients via public journal and personal note. The “timer” on YCHes and Commissions will be suspended until the problem has been dealt with, and then I will make another journal advising that I am able to return to work, and do my best to make up any lost time!

QUEUE SIZE

One of the biggest sticking points for me in clearing my queue and getting ready to return to active work has been the sheer number of commissions I used to take. This time off has given me a lot of space to think, and one of the things I want to address immediately and practice strictly is a very limited queue.

I intend to only release 3 YCHes at a time, and will not release more than these if the previous ones are not completed. I will also take no more than 2 active Custom Commissions at any one time, including a week of break between each batch of 3 in order to prevent overload or burnout.
If you would really really like a slot, and there aren’t any openings or you’ve missed them, keep your eyes peeled - I have something in the works to help with this, and you’ll be hearing about it very, very soon!

MANAGEMENT

Another thing my time off in the past couple of years has brought me is clarity in viewing myself and how I interact with clients. To keep it short: it hasn’t been great! Several personal issues prevent me from acting and responding as quickly and primly as I would like, and while I work on those, I’ve hired on help:

Meet Knoter my manager! They will be speaking in this green text, so that when you are interacting with them, you know it is them and not me.

I’ve brought them on to help take some of the load off while I return to full-time art. They will be occasionally answering notes, questions, and comments, as well as managing invoices and my queue, and might even be delivering files to you! This will help me to focus on doing art full-time, so I would ask that you please treat them with the same respect and politeness you would treat me. I’d also ask that you keep any business you have with me strictly dedicated to my own account, as their personal account is for them to use as they wish.

GALLERY CLEANOUT

A new year means a new start for many, and I want to finally do something that has been itching in my brain for some time now: clean out my gallery!

Within the next month, I will be removing submissions that proceed 2022 in my gallery. I am going to be making a few changes to the way I write my descriptions, along with watermarking my artwork, and thus, this would be the simplest way for me to ensure that things stay neat.

If you have a commission in my gallery that you would like to save, this is your heads-up to grab it! After it is gone, I cannot guarantee that I can find the file on my hard drive and it may be lost forever. Please make sure you have saved any artwork I’ve created for you in this timeframe!

OWED ARTWORK

At this time, I am almost certain that everything that has been in my past queue (prior to 2022) has been completed. However, as I previously stated in this journal there have been problems in the past with me delivering artwork to clients.

If I owe you a YCH, commission, or any other artwork and you have not received it prior to this year (2022), please let me know so that I can deliver it to you at this time! It is very likely that I regrettably missed a few people when I was trying to catch up on backlogged art, and I would
like to get everything owed out as quickly as possible so that I can solely focus on what is to come.

CONCLUSION

Whew! Now that I’ve typed up an entire book for you to read, I just want to say thank you once again. I appreciate all of the support, patience, and kindness y’all have shown me over my many years on this account, and I hope to continue to respond in kind! Please, keep your eyes open for YCHes that are coming this week, as well as limited Custom Commission openings and some other cool surprises in store!
