A life time
Posted 3 years agoSo just as I was getting into the swing of it all again, a crisis came up
My perfect little dog of 16 years was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
And my perfect little dog was not yet suffering, but it was clear the cancer was starting to have effects.
I spent one last week with her, feeding her all her favorite foods and spoiling her stupid
And when the time came I held her to me as she went to sleep
I will always love that little dog and everything Casey means to me.
Everything she did.
Love your pets with all you are.

Which is bitter sweet.
((During July I teach a very basic introduction to gas welding to children, we make fun little projects and they get a good look into some basic metal working.))
Last summer I didn't get to do this because of the slight pause in the world, so to do it again this year was fantastic and I had a great time.
It's always sad to see it go but working two full time jobs gets to be a little tiring now and then lol
off to comatose.
....also camp may have "inspired" a new sona. Woops.
Which is bitter sweet.

Bones: Part 2!

Turns out I have a congenital abnormality in my lower spine that made my last vertebrae the wrong shape, another one is fused on one side, and it causes a lot of pressure and pinching
Combine that with the whole getting hit by a car thing that caused muscle damage in my lower back
And I am a fucking winner lmao
Basically everything in my lower back and pelvis has rotated and compressed to try and compensate for all the...everything. So the goal is to get all my bones able to move again.
Did some first adjustments today, and even just a little movement to the bones has made walking feel a little better and I feel like I can stand up straighter than I've been able to in a while
Only the first visit and all, but here's to hoping this is the start to me finally getting to tackle this issue from every angle I need to at last.

Being a responsible owner of a skeleton involves making doctors appointments for people to push them back into place and maybe get rid of some of the everything that hurts right????

Pro note to everyone, when you're young and stupid and get hit by a car?
Firstly don't get hit by a car.
Secondly, don't them get up and walk miles home BEFORE going to the hospital.
Thirdly, don't then ignore every issue stemming from that and your already peculiar bones for years.

You'll hate yourself.
Just a little bit more.

Went MIA again, but you all know that happens frequently.
Long story short, wasn't living at home for a month or so, so I didn't have my anything lmao
No drawing, no regular tech
Buuuut now that I'm back, a moment of silence for my dearly departed Surface Pro 3, that has died in my absence and will no longer charge or turn on. (It had been slowly crashing for a while now)
My surface pro 3 was how I drew things for the last...4 years or so? It was my first venture into on-screen-tablet drawing and was a really awesome introduction to it.
RIP buddy
