Late night question answering and feelings
Posted 7 years agoI'm here to answer any questions anybody may have for me regarding the changes.
"If I'm here on this account, does that mean I'm getting rid of old characters?"
No. I'm not getting rid of any of them. Nor am I gonna stop drawing them. I'm just focusing on something that I want to do right now. I'm just experiencing a mix of of different emotions when it came to the move and how others have felt about it. I'm trying my best to put those feelings behind me and just getting it over with. It's hard, but I gotta fight. It's especially kinda devastating it seems that a friend of mine won't talk to me anymore or communicate with me because of this. I'm trying to not let it get to me though...
Got to keep moving on... Some don't like it, but it's for my own happiness and not for others. Gotta tip my hat up, hold my head up high and keep it movin'~

Character Universes
Posted 7 years agoWhen it comes to having so many characters, one will have to consider how and what universe do they interact in. I put some thought into it and thought it could work. It would help keep laws consistent to each universe and wouldn't allow characters to be sticking out like a sore thumb. So, I came up with an acronym involving three separate universe for my characters to dwell in.
S.T.U.
S Universe
Stands for Special. This universe is populated mostly with superhero and empowered beings who live among the mundane. Characters like Star Guardd, Lovett Boltt and Dough-Mutt live in this universe.
T Universe
Stands for Toony. This universe has characters that are cartoonish, subjected to cartoonish antics, but mostly mundane interacting with each other. Some instances of the other two universe could happen here. Characters like Orson Major, Bulk, Lucius, Fridolf and Winkle live here. Characters that appear in the other two universes are reduced to characters to a medium here as if they were fictional. E.g. Star Guardd would be a comic book character or Konana's show would be a cartoon series. I'm currently focusing on this universe here. Taking a break from superhero stuff and taking root in mostly mundane.
U Universe
Stands for Unusual . This universe takes a page out of mostly fantasy, or fantastical happenings. May have some sci-fi elements here as well. Characters like Konana, Brutus, Moonsy, Octagon Orson can appear here.
It took some thought for me to come up with this. I hope I can just stick with it!

NEW ACCOUNT, NEW NAME, NEW YEAR!

If anybody was watching me from my other accounts, this is my new one. To those that know me, I know I all owe you an explanation for my long absense... I'm very, very, very, sorry for worrying you all to death. I'm okay and I'm alive. ^^
My long absense is the result from a myriad of personal issues with myself and frustrations with art and what I wanted to go with it. So many problems due to...
LACK OF DIRECTION
I didn't know what I wanted to do with my character Dough-Mutt (whom I was putting faith in to make him more likable and popular). I was trying to fit him in ways that people might try to like about him and coming up with his origin story was stressing me out. It's the same with Lucius but at a lesser rate. These frustrations also compounded with...
OBLIGING TOO MUCH AND FEAR OF CRITICISM
While I have no problem taking criticism when it comes to art overall, whenever I want to change up or experiment with something, there's always someone who dislikes the changes that I made, so I always give in and revert them even if the change was an interesting one. This led to fear of doing anything then I was stuck...
I retreated to Twitter for a while... That did nothing to help me to get back into drawing that much...
I had to really think about what I really wanted to do...
Well, after getting some personal help and really thinking... Maybe I needed to start over again, but with new aspirations and rules to adibe by. Also, New Year... newness...
So... What about Dough-Mutt and Lucius, etc? I declare that I will use them in one of my other character's stories when I will have the chance at my own time when I want to. DM would work much better as a side character instead of a main one anyway.
And I must not be a people pleaser! I have really given up on that. I am just tired of being that way.
About this account...
There will be 3 characters whom I want to do stuff with. One is Orson, another is a superhero character that you guys may know of (No, it's not Dough-Mutt.) I have an idea of a story, and another newer character that I have not introduced yet.
I'm focusing on Orson and his friends for now. It's much simpler and mundane. Easier to work with.
