Well by big thing I mean march 9th will be time to celebrate small scalies with Kobold Week!
The start of Kobold week is the second sunday in march. So plenty of time to prepare for the occasion.

So hey! I am in the mood to write a story about Kobolds out adventuring involving the Kobold Mascot for Kobolds_of_fa Kobolds_of_fa that I created in a competition to pick their mascot!I figured it'd be a fun first outing for Noik the Spell-Thief. So in that theme I've come up with a fun story theme of a bunch of Kobold Adventurers venturing forth to stop a Human. if you've not heard of the group head on over and shout out and let them know about your Kobold character!
So it's a bit of a reverse on the old trope of adventuers venturing down into the dungeon. This is going to be the "monster species" venturing on up to stop the humans! I won't give you the full story idea but it will involve fighting, trickery, magic, sizechange, some minor transformation and a variety of other fun mischief some of it edging into mature.
So if you fancy signing up there are only two rules really. Fill out the form below and have a Kobold Character to submit! I'll leave this journal up until the end of the week and then roll dice or some other random event to pick who gets in as I realistically only have 4 slots though there may well be some Cameo spots.

So far, there is 4 entries.
Another new, I've been chatting with an artist, and she was really interested into making a kobold group picture, which would be greeeeaaaaat :3
Infos and stuff about the group pic will be posted on a later date.
So tell me guys what do you think?

While kicking it with my best buddy Ryuske at RF this year.

I was asking him about how much a comic would cost.
We bantered over it a bit and have worked out a lovely little set up.
I'm throwing down a small chunk of my paychecks for a (hopefully) long comic consisting of Orcs capturing some kobolds. This will involve some rather evil stuff...enslavement, rape, mpreg, and a few other twisted kinks.
but...
there's 3 slots.
which means...3 other kobolds beyond myself and Ryu's can get collared and kept as brood slaves. and dont worry...when this comic starts to grow stale or we run out of ideas. the kobolds escape at the end and get their revenge later.
now, depending on demand for these slots, i might do a contest.

After an yip and a yap and a yip yap yop between the staffs, we decided to turn the design of our mascot into a kontest, yip yip!
What you have to do is either write down a character concept and/or draw that character that you think that could fit the group. Bonus if you can build up a level 1 character sheet (it's optional, but it would be cool )
When the kontest will end (the date will be posted in another journal), a winner will be picked and his character concept will receive proper art.
How to post an entry
- Write us a note with "Kobold Kontest" as subject and send us the concept, or a link to get it.
The rules
- You can post any number of entries, but only one will be the winner.
- The entry can be written or visual.
- A character sheet is optionnal (if you write one, use 3.x [32 point buy], PF [25 point buy] or 5th [27 point buy] rules)
- If your entry is picked. You'll get the credit of creating the character, but the character will be owned by the admins of this group.

Kobold Propaganda

I guess it's time to make some propaganda.
Kobolds, little creatures we love, aren't represented enough in fantasy story and such. If they do make an appearance, they got pretty minor role that can be easily overlooked.
But there are a few books with a kobolds as main characters. I highly recommend the book Ren of Atikala. It's a great book :3
I am Ren of Atikala. Kobold. Sorcerer. Warrior. I am many things and I have many stories to tell. This one is about my home.
Home. The word has a special resonance with us all. Great or humble, rich or poor, everyone cherishes their home and if deprived of it loses a piece of themselves.
I remember looking back at Atikala, its ceiling collapsed in, the homes of fifty thousand kobolds crushed under unimaginable tonnes of rock and dirt. I remembering the feeling of horror and denial that immediately set in. I wanted to reject that this had happened to me, to scream to the ceiling until the rock receded, until fate changed its mind and restored everything to the way it was. I thought that life could not be so cruel as to take everything I’d known in an instant.
Oh, how I now understand that life can be capricious indeed.
This is story of how I came to the surface of Drathari and unwillingly traded a life for a life
