Probably doing just a casual stream for a bit, no idea what i'll be drawing. Probably noodl

So after the announcement and decision of last week, i've kinda gotten in a rut and having a hard time focusing myself on drawing

But i suppose it's also got me thinking: What works of mine do you like to see or come back to every so often?

Honestly, i hate having to make this journal more than anyone else would feel reading it, but i feel like i have hit my limit.

For those who don't know: During daytime I'm a teacher in a high school and the art is mostly a thing i do on the side. However, last year i've also started doing a study to be allowed to teach seniors who are about to graduate (that is a separate license I need to earn) In my ignorance, though i did somewhat expect it, i had the expectation to also do some commission work on the side and it would all be fine and dandy.

But it's not

I do not have a lot of free time nowadays: if im not teaching im prepping for my studies and vice cersa. The little free time i do have, i feel obligated to work on commissions and nothing else. And that just heaps on stress on me i don't particularly need or can handle right now. Just today i had a breakdown over something so insignificant I shouldn't even need to care. It starts to devolve into me not even wanting to bother with art, leading to more delays and indeed more stress at the end of the day for not having done any art at all. Working for money has always added a layer of stress, as i feel i have to be perfect, while otherwise I am a lot more messy, if it's just a gift art or something for myself.

I will handle all of these on a case by case basis. For the ones that have not paid yet, they will just be scrapped, likely with a priority pass should i end up opening commissions again much much later (like, summer 2024 at the earliest) For people that have paid i will try to arrange refunds as possible, or will work with them to still be able to deliver (though in a much, much delayed time frame)

Once again, i hate that i have to do this, but im hoping i caught this in time, before im just out of the running for a good part of 3 months or more. All i can do is hope for some understanding from the people

By commissioning me, you agree to having read and accepted the following terms and conditions. Should something be unclear or you would like some clarification, don't hestitate to ask me about it below or in notes.

Breach of the terms may lead to a blacklist for further commissions

General
-Clients must be 18+ years of age before ordering a commission from me. I dabble a lot in NSFW subjects, so you probably shouldnt be following this account in general.

-I reserve the right to decline a commission for any reason.

-None of my art, commissioned or otherwise may be used by the client or otherwise, to train ai algorhythms or in the production of NFTs.

-Commissioned work is under a non-commercial license. I do not do work for merchandising.


Process
-I work with a slot based system, that is only opened a few times a year for new commissions.

-A client can apply for a commission through the link provided in the respective journal promoting the opening. Applications through other means will be disregarded unles stated as acceptable in the journal.

-Within 2 days of closing the opening, i will approach the clients that have been picked and will publically publish a journal with the people chosen. If you were not contacted, i will not reach out afterwards to backfill any slots.

-Once i start, i will provide 2-3 wips at several stages in the process. The client is expected to review these and return with comments to verify everything is in order.

-After approval of the final work, no further edits will be made. So make sure everything is in order.

-After finishing, I will send you the full resolution image to you. I myself will make a lower res image to post online.


Payment
-Payment is done in USD and is processed through Paypal. I do have a Stripe, but so far have not used it to process payments.

-Payment can be done as soon as the commission is accepted all the way up until the client has approved the sketch. Once the price has been agreed on, i will send an invoice for the due amount.

-For orders under 200USD, the full payment is expected before i continue after sketch approval. For orders over 200USD a payment plan can be arranged, though communication about this is prefered at the acceptal of the commission.

-I will not send the full resolution image unles the entire sum has been paid by the end of the work.


Cancellations/Refunds
-When provided with a valid reason, i will provide a refund proportional to the work already done on the commission:
Pre-sketch: 100%
Sketch: 90%
Linework: 50%
Flat colours: 25%

-After the flat colour stage has been approved, no refund will be provided to the client.

-If i am the one cancelling a commission, for whatever reason, the client will be reimbursed in full, regardless of the current progress of the work. Reason for this include, but are not limited to: Excessive demands from the client, rude behaviour, unexpected inability to finish the commission.

-If work has begun, and the client has requested a refund, i reserve the right to reuse the work done for personal use or offer it up to a new client in the form of a YCH auction.


Further remarks
-The client reserves the right to post commissions they have gotten from me on their personal, non-commercial account. It is up to them whether they use the full res i provided, or the watermarked version.

-I reserve the right to post the artwork in several online galleries as well as my discord server. Should you wish a commission to remain private, please mention as such on the application.

-I reserve the right to alter commissioned artwork for my own promotional material for future commissions.

Just wanted to put out there, i will be away from home on vacation from oct 21 till oct 28.

During that time i'll be making an effort to also not use my phone a lot, as i really need to take some time away and rest.

I've come to realize it doesnt make sense to be so anxious about myself.

Im absolutely honoured people are interested in commissioning me.

Im just.. starting to even now have doubts if im even suited for it.

Even looking through the list of what has already been submitted im like... I can hardly do any of these justice.

It's probably too late to walk back as people are expecting things now.

And maybe i feel different about it tomorrow.

But maybe better to quit while im ahead, just focus on quicker-turn around ychs instead of loading myself with anxiety like this...

Any commission that features either (or both) of these themes is due a discount. Was thinking of doing so anyway, but felt fitting with the whole VapDrone thing going on.
Speaking of, involving shenanigans with VapDrone do count towards the theme sale, just as a minor suggestion

Signups close July 1st 22:00 CEST. I will contact people who got a slot within 2 days of closing, as well as putting up a journal with the filled slots.

As last time time, there is two forms, one for comics and one for the rest of the commission types!
How does it work?:

1. 50% of slots at the least will be reserved for people not included in the past commission round. I want to give people as much chance as possible without resorting to FCFS, so will be doing a trial run with this method. This will be spread acros both sequences and single slots, rounded down for sequences and up for singles. Currently planning 4 singles, 3 sequences and a comic slot, but it may be subject to change.

2. Comic page commissions will be accepted during this round, but work slightly different from the other types of commissions. They have an entirely separate form and you can submit both a comic form and a general form. They also will not have the same 50% reserve as the general commissions do. After the commission opening closes, i will narrow down the choices to ones i feel are within my capabilities and let RNG decide the final picks. Why? I dont know, but just experimenting to have comic commissions open, but also keep things fair. N if it doesnt work, i'll try something else next time! Of course, if you get picked for the comic slot, your general comm form becomes void.

3. I can not promise any deadlines. I dont have work in the summer, but i try to balance these with more personal ventures.

The way things are looking, the next opening for commissions will be july. The form will go live june 24th and will be open for a full week, so plenty of time to submit

There will be a theme sale this time, the subject of which will be revealed at the opening. If your idea matches the theme, you will get a small discount: singles and refs 15% off, sequences and all comics 10%! Tho bare in mind if you were included in the Q1 opening, you will have slightly deboosted priority, as roughly 50% of the slots will be reserved for people who didnt get something then
The above restriction does not apply if you got a non-comic commission and apply for a comic this time, or vice versa

It's still insane to me to think that many people decided to click on that +watch button X3
