Paid work can be nice for a monetary boost, but it just sucks all the fun out of me, unles it's an idea im 100% behind myself

Though i do want to add im very honoured people do think of me when they have an idea they want to get. It does mean a lot to me, i just cant ever meet that demand

Whilst i've thrown my idea list out, i do want to add some variety to what i draw, so any characters or themes you want to see?

Can be my OCs or characters from media, but i will still work on whatever i feel like.

So it's been about 2 weeks since i started my break and i have to say, it has been good. Gave me some time to think and decide what i want to do with my artwork and my approach to them. It might be a bit of a lengthy/ranty journal, but i have headers and such to each section, in an attempt to order my thoughts

My art in general

First of, i do feel like going back to art and such. it's always been a decent way for me to pass my time and to bring ideas to life that might be harder to find artists for that are open or affordable. Though from now on, i definately am going to slow down, a lot. I feel like im done trying to rush one thing out after the other, and im just going to take my time on each piece. I hope that way i can actually enjoy works as i finish them, rather than disliking them a day after posting them.
Along side that, i am going to focus a bit more on what i want to work on and throwing out the idea list i've been keeping. I rather work on ideas as they come, instead of working on old ideas that i have been sitting on for literally years in some cases. This doesnt mean im not going to feature friends in my artwork anymore, but only when i feel like it. I'll also be toning down give-aways, cause usually they give me more stress than what they're worth, so if you were only following me to try and get some free stuff, probably best to just go.

Commissions and ychs

Alongside me doing less giveaways, i will also be not doing commissions anymore, even the sketchy comms i started doing. Along with wanting to take my time with art ive noticed it just adds a lot of unneeded stress alongside my day job. Even with the smaller commissions where i feel the need i have to be perfect, something which is less present in the case of personal work. This will also extend to YCHs. I might very rarely do one, but only if i really attach to an idea i want to be roped in for several hours in my off time. I will also no longer do bonuses once a bid reaches past a certain limit, cause in my experiences, it just expands the idea beyond the scope i have set aside for it.

I will finish what i have left in owed work and that will be basically it for commissions

Yes, i'd like to commission something myself, maybe you can suggest artists for it

What i would like to get is Lucas buffing up, becoming a welltoned shark or orca

Optional: Him becoming a drone in the process.

Hey all, figured i just rip of the bandage.

Im going to go on a hiatus from art, any art. I feel as of late i've lost the spark to find joy in what i make, only really drawing stuff for the sake of drawing it.
Many sketches just end up unfinished or scrapped and i just end up doing other things.

So im going to take a break for i dont know how long yet. Till i think it feels good to draw again.

And that also means i am going to have to cancel most of what i had planned for this month. I know a lot of you were looking forward to it, i was as well, but with this state of mind, i cant justify pouring dozens of hours into something im only moderately happy with.

The only thing i will work on finishing is the YCH with Zera i posted earlier this month, but otherwise im calling it quits.

Hope you can find your snake-based fills elsewhere, while im not doing much with it.

I will be around, checking this account. Just as a passive observer/consumer

So now that the sign up journal is closed, i have taken some time to plan out what i would like to work on/finish

But that gives no guarantee that it might all be done, cause honestly. it's pretty daunting with how many people showed interest.

So here's what i got for now. It might be more, it could definately also be less and roughly what i have planned for them

Currently in the working phase (counts are without Zera herself):
-Thrall mass tf pic (~10 chars)
The big one, currently blocking it out and seeing how much i can put in whilst staying sane still. This is one i definately try to finish, but it'll be a slow burn
-Monster tf thing (2 chars)
Currently sketching this one, roughly 30% through
-The YCH ft Zera
Currently editing the sketches and adding on bonus content, due to the amount bid. Will also be a slower burn, but takes priority over the big project mentioned before

What will hopefully happen, these will be knocked up or down depending on my mood:
-Cloning mass tf (~5 chars)

Seems 2 for this is plenty, gotta stay balanced
-Absorption into tail (3-4 chars)
3-4 is good enough to not turn this into a knock off human centipede thing

As you can see, i cant feature everyone, so mostly going by more specific themes suggested or otherwise filling in how time allows.

So keeping it short, cause today was more tiring than expected.

There was actually a tie in the highest bid! I mulled over how i should break it, and decided the person which bid that amount first got the slot

The auction is over and it was quite interesting looking at it from the back end. Interestingly, this was not the only tie, there were 4 spread across different amounts.

For the future, im not sure if i will stick to this kind of auction, it's interesting, but i also feel the transparancy of a normal auction is a nice thing to have around as well.

Anyway, i should go to bed...

So with me finishing my queue, time to share what my plans are for the foreseeable future

As i have responded to people who've been asking me for commissions, i dont plan on taking any more in the future. Im really grateful for the people who have supported me over the years, but with me having a decently paying, near full time job now, i rather reserve my art time for personal projects. Occasionally i might do paid art for friends or the occasional YCH, but if the idea doesnt instantly sell me from the start, im not taking it.

For october i will take some time for myself and relax, work on some personal projects. I have some spoopy/sexy/both stuff planned tho. They're kinda big, so i hope i have the time to do them both. Will at least have one though~ Will be out of town/away from my pc for a week as well, so just gonna take it nice and slow~

After spoop month is over, will just be working on what i still have open. There's some raffle prizes for hitting 2000 watchers on my kink account which will be worked on, as well as a very long list of ideas i have built up over the years, but never actually had the time to work on X3

So as some of you may know, I am starting my proper IRL job tomorrow, and while i am excited about that, it also means that i dont have full days to spend on art anymore like i used to. So here's how things gon change round here :P

So i have a couple of outstanding commissions still open. I have tried my hardest to get the largest one done before this point and i succeeded for the most part, i believe. There is still some bigger ones, but not as big as the recent comic pages, or 6 page taur sequences. Luckily, my current work schedule is quite lenient and has left me with a lot of time to keep working on them in the evenings and some afternoons. My schedule for working on finishing these remains the same: my days off for personal art and relaxations are thursdays and sundays, other days are for commissions, with the new caveat that work prep has the biggest priority of all. I should hopefully have these last remaining done before y'all know it, but time will tell.

I do stand by my decision to not take on big public commission queues anymore. I will do some YCHs from time to time, and maybe some side work from friends, but for the time being, will just be focusing on myself. Expect a big price increase if i do open up again, though. With my new job, current prices just are not worth it for me anymore.

Otherwise, expect production to slow down quite a bit, as i have less free time, but also am going to experiment more with my shading style. Going to focus more on my background work and more detailed shading and well... everything really. Though i do like my style where it is at, so who knows where i end up going!
