I watch almost 1700 people, so I don't read journals... But I figure I might start writing here more often. (Funny how that ... resolution to write more ... happens to come around New Year's, eh? ...)

Anyway, I suppose there are a couple furry-arty-related things I was going to talk about here.

Uh, first off, do any of y'all use the FA digest? It's, like, my most popular blog, running since late 2007, and generally gets more hits in a week than I have watches on this account, but I never hear anything about it.

For those who don't know, it's basically just a weekly link list to the most popular stuff that comes across my watchlist... which I guess is useful because I've found out that apparently there are people who don't view all the submissions that come into their inbox.


Besides that...
I'm almost done with the first chapter of Ralph's story (the one that's up now is the second chapter so far) and I'm hoping to post it either this weekend or sometime next week.


I've been neglecting my sketchblog lately, but I'm going to try and get back into it (there's more of that timely resolve stuff again).


Another thing I hope to do this year is at least one page of the satyr comic a month.


And, ah... I think that's all I had to say. What do you all want to see from me in 2011?

So, some of you who've wanted commissions from me know I price myself pretty high — not because of some inflated opinion of my stuff (lol, high demand), but just because it tends to take me quite a lot of time to finish a piece (ugh, low supply).

But after goin' to AC and seein' all you beautiful people and ideas again I've been itchin' to do some work for y'all.

So, I was thinkin' of maybe doin' 5 or 6 commissions at a rate of
* $15 for a drawing (1-2 characters)
* $15 for a short story (1000-1500 words)
* $20 for a colored drawing

...which is like 1/3 to 1/4 of what I usually ask. Would anyone be interested in such? Note me!

(P.S. AC was fun but not much special really. Been goin' to cons for almost a decade now, recognize a lot of people, but hardly know any of them, and even the ones I do know I'm not really close to, and even the ones I feel close to I have trouble connecting with. kibawolfpup is the best, though.)

It is a blog, yes? I will be posting progress snapshots of the stuff I happen to be working on: scraps of art and stories too. (It also has a gallery of completed arts and will have a library of completed stories but you already get all that by following me here.)

It's been up a couple of weeks already and I think it may go well; I'll try to have things up every couple of days. Clean and adult stuff will be posted (adult stuff behind cuts) — everything except one or two things the people I'm doing them for wanted to approve before publication.

I didn't grow up in the same world most of you did, which is fantastic. Though I haven't really tried to keep up. I don't want to watch your youtube videos. Not really a fan of web forums, unless I can get them in RSS for my mail/newsreader. Don't really need a cell phone. I still have to scroll down through pages of comments on your pictures to find out if anyone said which digimon you drew.

In about six months the odometer'll be flipping over another decade for me. Won't that be fun. ;)

Okay, enough of me being an old fogey. (I was ranting a bit because sometimes I feel so different from everyone else, which doesn't inspire optimism in my search for a life partner. I'm not lonely yet, but...)


I start my "new" job tomorrow. Won't have as much time for my projects and stuff—at least, the ones I have to work on at home.
