♡what a week...
Posted 4 years agoSOOOO i booked some time off work, because honestly i deserve it. i've been working super hard and my job has been... difficult lately, a bunch of my projects are nearing their critical timelines so i'm suddenly responsible for a lot at once ;_;
- (boring adult stuff): first day off, we started the process for applying for a mortgage, so that's really exciting! we've got a solid figure in principle so i can start looking for houses to buy. i grew up kinda poor so this is like, dream come true? dhgjfdg never thought it'd be a homeowner in my 20s but here we are.
- fun stuff): day 2, my partner and i booked a luxury hotel in the city to get away and honestly just have a shopping trip, we burned through some money, but because we can't go on vacation this is the closest we could get. it was so good to get away, i've never eaten such good food and it's been like a 1.5 years since i've been clothes shopping, so feeling pretty good about that
- (not so fun stuff): day 3, we came home to a product recall of our cat's food, as it's been linked to a fatal illness in cats. we then had to get a vet appointment to check all the blood levels, which set us back some more. fortunately everything was okay, no risk or anything, but still loathed to spend more of my house deposit than i wanted to
it's the weekend now so i'm going to crack on with commissions, overall a good few days off but definitely more stressful than i wanted it to be :U
