When it comes to summer activities, I used to absolutely loved getting up at 5am and going biking by the beach 🚲 It’s nice and cool and the only people you meet are elders that are going for a jog and swim, so no one bothers you when you want to relax and take some photographs on the way. Once I went running with a friend much later in the morning and it was full of people who were out “running” but mostly looking for hook-ups. You could not go 500 meters without someone stopping you to chat 🤦♀️ So 5am is the proper time for biking or jogging in the park 👌
And for the rest of the day/afternoon, lounging at the beach or the seaside park with a strawberry lemonade has to be my favourite pass time, closely followed by fish and chips + apple cider 🍺 It is waaay too hot in here to be actually active during the day 😅
Or at least that was the case years ago. Now I have a 3 and a half year old and a 2 month old, so I go out jogging with them in the park or on the way to the playground and lounge there on the bench while the toddler is playing and the baby is sleeping in the stroller, enjoying whatever drink I’ve gotten from the fridge that day🥤It is still waaay too hot to be active during the day, but no one seems to be taking their kids out early in the morning 🤷♀️

The rescue I got my cat from, Purring Angels, is in pressing need of funds to vaccinate all of the new kitties they have before the spring viruses hit them.
They are doing a fundraiser and some cute digital cat cards to raise the money they need for vaccines.
They have done a lot to help all the sick stray cat and abandoned kittens in my are so I’m helping them spread the word around. The more people know, the bigger the chance this comes across someone who can donate! Even 1€ makes a difference!

Life update 2 - woofs and rainbows
Posted 4 years agoYeah, your cat-girl here is studying to be a dog trainer now 8)
After years and years of taking care of animals, both mine and rescues, I’m finally gonna start doing it professionally. Dogs and cats are my specialty for now, I wanna add ferrets and horses later on but one species of animal at a time XD
I just got my 1st certificate from Ian Dunbar’s academy a couple of days ago and am doing some more specialised courses there now. The basic course covered dog behaviour problems (prevention and treatment), puppy training and adult dog training. I’m expanding now with a course on canine social and sexual behaviour - fascinating stuff! I did a quick course on cat behaviour there too, it was just the basics but I did have a couple of tiny holes to fill there and there’s a course in another academy on cat care and nutrition that I am eyeballing >.>
Nutrition is another thing I want to study this year, it is sooooo important and we mostly get it wrong with our pets. I’ve been researching it for years because of our rescue cats (ill kitty-cats need special care after all) and man, it is a night-and-day difference! Even the lowest quality of the right diet helps them recover so much faster and the kittens develop so much better :O
But now I am faced with an issue - I do not have a dog XD I have a 7 month old baby. Not even our cat is with us cuz the landlords don’t allow pets. And I’ll tell you something - no one is gonna take a dog trainer without a dog seriously. Just because I don’t have a dog at the time ppl often treat me as if I’ve never had dogs and act as dog-experts because they now have their 1st dog and they have read the doggy-forums and read on the breed x.X Yeah, I’ve had that breed, and I can tell you, you have ruined your dog, but you ain’t gonna listen, are you?
So we’re looking now for a way to move where we can have our pets with us and we’re thinking on what breed of dog to get. We’re both very specific on what we want as traits (wolf-looking, soft, not too fluffy, I want it with “a bad reputation” cuz that’s another thing - no one is impressed IG you can train a golden retriever or a collie, they are born in a sit-stay and reading a book on competitive obedience). And I do want a show dog cuz I want to train show dogs even though for now my specialty is gonna be pet dogs :3
And so on and so on, I can talk about dogs for years and not shut up XD I guess you can;t really tell from my art here, most of my characters are foxes, I don’t even have dog-characters, now that I think of it o.O But same is true of cats and I spent the last 6-7 years working with rescue cats exclusively and many ppl irl didn’t know cuz I don’t talk much about it, I just do it XD I only mention when I’m looking for ppl to adopt them but my friends already have pets (plural) so yeah, I don’t look there for new kitty-parents XD

Life update 1 - baby stuff
Posted 4 years agoWell that is one hands on experience, having a baby XD
No surprises there but it’s been 7 months and man, babies grow up so slow :O It is quite entertaining, tho, not a boring moment of the day or night :D
Little baby girl is now crawling more and more. She tried to stand and skip the whole crawly-wauly business but alas, it’s not so easy to walk XD And she’s growing teeth now, the 1st one is showing :3
I started drawing her maybe a dozen times, I may even finish a sketch by the end of the summer X’D Baby is a bit of a shapeshifter like me, I can’t get a solid image of her just yet. From birth, at times she has more of a red panda look, like her father’s side of the family but then I look at her again and boom! a perfect lion cub o.O So yeah, this will be going on for some time while she settles ^^
We’re managing pretty well, tho, for a first child XD She is now sleeping in her own bed both during the day and the night (she used to sleep with us during the night, much easier with night feedings and so on). But she’s a big girl now and she wakes up and gets up and goes to play so a floor bed is better for her than our tall bed ^^
The biggest challenge for me is ahead, tho - socialisation XD Due to COVID we didn’t have many ppl over and when we go outside she mostly sleeps so she hasn’t met many kids and not enough adults too, 0 animals, so that’s not good at all. So now we have to be raiding the playgrounds and butt-in with the other parents XD But I can’t seem to figure out when they go out. We’re out every day for at least 2 hours now and we mostly meet dog ppl out in the park, all the parents with babies we used to meet in the winter and early spring have moved time or place and I have no idea when or where. We gotta do a search party XD
Anyway, that’s all the baby stuff for now. Busy but I manage to work, even if it’s slowly, and, hey, I am also studying again! Yeah, can’t keep me out of school XD Next journal is gonna be about that and guess what my subject is this time! I’ll give you a hint: “woof!”

Halloween t-shirts n hoodies!

Testing out a few platforms and how this whole thing works with a small Halloween-themed batch of t-shirts, hoodies and face masks (currently only 1 face mask but I am working on 2 more designs which I may or may not finish by the end of the week ^^' )
So far I've been exploring Teespring and Redbubble and I'll be applying for Merch by Amazon later on as well but those 2 are giving me enough headache rn, especially Redbubble (it is NOT a user-friendly interface for uploading your stuff at all x.X I am yet to upload my latest design there and it refuses to update the 1st design I uploaded a couple of days ago and now one of my products is 50% white text on white shirt *facepalm* )
Anyway, I'll appreciate your thoughts on this and maybe some feedback? :D
Note: Since the platforms are free-to-use the looks of storefronts are NOT optimized for the different devices (and offer no tools for users to do that themselves, you can only upload avatar and banner and that's it) so it looks a bit weird on mobile but the actual store part seems to work. So no need to comment on the site designs XD ^^'

I’m a bit sad I won’t get to offer you guys anything for Halloween but hopefully I will be able to draw and post some of this year’s ideas with my foxy girls Vivian and Silvana and probably something with the boys as well :D
I’m not sure if I’ll do another art update of the last days of the pregnancy but I am done with the design for my daughter so a family pic with her and my husband will be posted some time after she’s born (and I get rid of all of the relatives that want to be on my head and make squee-noises around the child x.X)
That is all for now, keep an eye out for the last 2 full colour drawings I’ll be posting for awhile in the next few days :D

So, about 1 month left until the little devil is out :D I am now even slower than before with pretty much everything, drawing included so here's how I'll be proceeding with art & commissions in October
Custom commissions:
~ 2 slots are open until the end of September.
~ Customs commissions will be closed during October - I just cannot guarantee that I will be able to finish a custom in any reasonable amount of time after the 1st. I don't know when I'll be opening these again to be honest, some time in November maybe.

It is human and I think it is focused on brush/painting techniques more than facial expressions (which is what I was looking for) but it seems it has a fair amount of anatomy in it so it should be good ^^ A friend of mine took the course last time Paintable had this challenge and she has improved very nicely and portraits is one area I want to improve more ^^
So if you’re looking for a short free art course here is one, hope it is as professional as advertised :D

Posted 5 years agoSoo I'm slowly expanding (back) to general sfw art :) Gonna be mostly animals, nature, family time, fan-art and whatever else I feel like drawing, basically.
I've been postponing this for way too long but I think it is about time. I will "recover" my deviantArt later on too but atm I just don't have the will to deal with the new interface so it's those 2 sites for now ^^

ღ [ Buy me a ko-fi diaper for my cub ] ღ Still working on those new fancy (and sfw) examples I've been talking about for a month now XD But I do have enough to set up the base for my updated commission guides :D
H e r e's w h a t h a v e c h a n g e d:
Custom commissions:
Now all shading is soft shading with some extra glow! <3 Characters with longer fur will be getting some more fur texturing in the shading and those with smooth coats or scales will have that reflected too :)
This has been reflected in the price which is now as much as the AB of the YCHs was for this lvl of detail (40€)
Flat colour style has been adjusted too with a bit more fur and hair detailing ^^
YCHs:
Not much has changed here, except now the low end of the bracket is below the base price for a character from the Custom commission sheet. I thought this would be appropriate since it's a pre-made pose with not too much freedom for changing things and so on.
There are a few group summer-themed YCHs that I have started, hope I can have them out before the end of the summer XD Those are going to be part of the Summer Sale so their prices are gonna be bellow the new base prices for flat & soft shading tiers :)
Alt versions:
Alternative versions now can have a slight change of pose and/or facial expression, depending on the case. I'm still tweaking the pricing here, I want to do a few more pieces like that and then settle on something. It will probably end up as a price bracket with small changes on the low ends and bigger pose changes on the high end of it ^^
Reference sheets:
And the biggest change of them all, the one that has an almost complete set of example images to go with - the ref sheets! :D
Now I offer 2 types: character and outfit ref sheets! They can also be combined for a discount ^^
The character sheets can feature any number of poses and close-ups, including alternative form for the shapeshifters! (yes, yes, I will finally make a full refsheet of me with all my form, not just my main anthro colours ^^ I think at this point it has been forgotten that I am a shapeshifter but what can I say, I guess I just got stuck in my comfort zone ^^')
The outfit sheets can also feature a collection of you're character's favourite accessories, like handbags, shoes, weapons and so on!
Themed backgrounds: there is only 1 for now (a dressing room, which is the default one) but I am making more and you can always change the default bg later on (1 change is for free since only 1 is available right now :) ) The colour scheme on them can also be changed to make your character's colours pop better ^^
Close-ups with different facial expressions and/or hairstyles - for better showing the personality of your character <3
Complition time on commissions:
About 100 years per drawing XD ^^'
But no, seriously now: anywhere between 2 and 4 business weeks.
I am in the last trimester now (baby is expected mid-October) and I am getting slower and slower with absolutely everything and while my drawing speed is more or less the same, the time I have left in the day to sit and draw is far less cuz I still have to do all the other things I do and they take 3 times longer than before x.X I will NOT be taking any priority or express orders, it's all first-come-first-serve. I just cannot guarantee in any way that something can be done faster, so that's that ^^

Posted 5 years agoBaby is growing and I am growing with her and am getting ridiculously slow in everything I do X'D Drawing included x.X So I am working slower on commissions and the group summer YCHs that I have planned for this sale so I'll be probably extending it in August as well :)
At the moment, these are the summer sale YCHs available for grabs :)
The sale on customs will probably end with July but that is not 100% sure yet too since the new commission guide is not ready yet.
And speaking of customs, I'm thinking of adding custom character design as an option along with the ref sheet commission. I enjoy bringing to life other people's ideas & characters and working with only written description or inspo-boards is not a problem for me at all :D So that is gonna be a thing too with the new commission guide :)
Now that this brief info is out I'll be off to draw all the things I am behind with :D I wanted to do pregnancy art updates ut this is going soooo sloooow, especially when I still don't have a desk (recently moved in a new apartment) and I can no longer "fold" comfortably on the couch to draw on my knees XD

Commission info update coming up
Posted 5 years agoI’ll be reviewing the style and prices of my commission info so it can be updated with current examples. I usually do this actualisation in June but this year I’ve been moving a lot all over the country and I’m finally settling down just now x.X I have one move week of travelling back and forth and then it’s gonna be a bit more peaceful :D
Expected changes:
I want to update the shading to soft shaded officially - I like how it looks and I can get in some nice fur textures :3 The style also gives some room for extra details for the YCH price tiers ^^
I also want to make specific examples for the YCH low and high tier prices. I’ve been meaning to do this in a long time but this year has been just crazy x.X
I will also be adjusting the prices a little. I expect the price ranges to be pretty much the same or close to what they are right now cuz this has proven to be my comfort zone for the year.
More SFW content. Looong overdue for that but I just love drawing boobs XD However, with the little cub coming in I’ll have to start drawing some more family friendly content since after a certain point kiddo is gonna be able to see what mommy is drawing XD Plus I have some character building and slice-of-life illustrations I’ve been sitting on for the longest time so that’s gonna be something else I’ll be working on this year :)

A bit of a life update and where did I go
Posted 5 years agoGreat news everyone - I‘m gonna be a mommy! :D
1st trimester is almost over and I spent the past few weeks trying to navigate the all-day-long morning sickness, headaches and mood swings x.X I am much better now, no longer having the feeling that my food wants to run away after I eat it but now I am facing a mental shock cuz I no longer eat meat and have to be a grazing lion until the little alien-looking kiddo decides it wants meat again XD
In not-so-great news, hubby and I are in a bit of unpleasant living situation now until he finds a job again. I’ve been extra stressed and facing situations I didn’t believe may happen so my drawing drive is about zero when it comes to personal art.
I am working on a few commissions atm, a bit slower than usual, but I am almost done with half of them + I always have place in my heart for 1 more anthro piece, so if you want to commission me and you’re not in a hurry - my slots are open :D
Work is still my best way to de-stress, providing I can lift my head from the pillow XD
I’m also thinking of replacing my “buy me a ko-fi” link with a “buy me a diaper for my cub” link XD Cuz I’ve been talking with other moms and diapers seem to be one of the greatest expenses when it comes to babies so this is one instance where I am happy I’ll be having all my little lion cubs one at a time XD
