"Id like to take a few moments to talk about a couple things and hopefully plant some seeds.

If you haven't heard by now, paw efficientinato and softcore astronaut Roary Raccoon, a familiar face in our community is going through some tough times. Now I don't feel as though I'm at liberty to talk about other peoples problems but I feel any of us can talk about the human condition.

We're all human, I'm sure there's no doubt about that but for some of you maybe it's best to say we're all people and being a person comes with its ups and downs. Often times our ups are at the mercy of others while our downs are caused merely by their presence. When we raise each other up we commit to helping others grab ahold of a better life ahead of them and perhaps helping that person make life better for all of us.

Too often we like to isolate ourselves from others, something I'm sure it's very familiar in our fandom. But too often that isolation comes at a cost, our empathy towards others and their own isolation. I don't think people were ever meant to be alone, never meant to drive others away and certainly not to dominate over others.

Many times the things that hold us back are the hardest things to confront and mental health being one of the blackest of black fogs that it is hampers all sense of hope, especially if that fog is in the minds of those closest to us, those who brought us into this world and rely on us to live.


In that spirit I would encourage as many people as possible to think about the times others have lifted you into a position where you could help yourself and consider doing the same for someone many of us treasure, some one who's brought fun and philosophy into the fold here in furrytown, earth.

Because some things are easier to draw than others and some times certain things may take extra focus some smaller commissions like Sketches or simple inks may make it out faster than bigger orders placed before hand. This is because before working on larger pieces that require a greater focus I typically work on something with less requirement first in order to hone my hand for that day. Sketches typically take me ten minutes or more some times. Please do not think you are being pushed aside for smaller paying customers, commissions are completed based on difficulty, not order received but I try to keep it to order received

Can anyone suggest a better drawing app? Im using OC and the brush constantly stops working. something for sketching and lines

Anyone have an issue where you're drawing with a brush and suddenly it no longer lays down strokes? Everything else works but putting pen to paper is just a no no. No stroke, no line, nothing, blank. I have to keep restarting oc and I really dont want to be at that.

Very quickly I have to say that my last journal was satire for the most part :P Calm down.

Now.

Possibly the end of commissions. Forever

So I've been thinking lately while working on some offsite commissions for peeps, art trades and owed work that I simply never have the inspirational strength to draw for anyone but myself.


I have a lot of projects I want to work on, heck my album is STILL a thing; not to mention a comic on the horizon!


So all of these things to me spell out " Quit working for others and focus on yourself" So.. I guess that is what I'm going to do. I cant improve in the areas I want to improve in if all I am doing is drawing some one else's thing.

I may every now and then work on a piece for some one whom I've worked with before, or if I like the idea. But over all, that's it. Shop's closed.

Hell it might even be the end of porn and I LOVE porn. But I want to make a professional out of myself. I cant exactly publish an album, write books and produce action comics with a cloud of furry porn hovering over my head. So in the next year or so you may see me slowly pulling out of the porn scene. Yup. I blew my load and I wont be calling in the morning.

Also you might wanna get yourself checked. Yea.

Okay, a big part of me says don't complain about macros. They're huge and will squish you.

The people there can be really unreasonably mean. Good thing is that the vast majority of their opinions make absolutely no sense and are often embarrassing for the poster

That and rule 34 you would think that with the amount of people commenting on art that they inherently are not attracted to anyway that these sites are actually big giant stadiums filled with people all jacking off, one giant monitor displaying picture after picture regardless of context and everyone just shouts their opinion in horny rage

Why do the majority of you draw sonic and shadow with long, sharp toe nails, big womanly eye lashes, and near constant drunk blush. These are cartoon characters not Japanese's emperoresses

Curious, What is the difference between being a furry and having people draw your character without permission or asking for them to be drawn with your character in a commissionable piece of work and doing precisely the same thing with the canon works of disney or some other franchise?

So Its been a tough month between finding work and helping to support my boy so I'm gonna lay it out straight.

We're la broke. BUT we are also working heavily on several projects. I have my music and we both have an amazing video game we're intending to kickstart soon.

That said, I want to draw. Man do I want to draw.


SO Im starting a patreon. Nothing fancy yet but the intention is to try and subvert funds to bills and initial programming costs so that we can get a boost to our ability to continue working on our projects. Life is tough Homies.

ALSO we need a new tablet pen for our Wacom Bamboo and those do not come cheap. In order to draw, I need the monies.

Some of you I already owe on work and those people would be grandfathered into patreon for life. Ie, It will be as though you were a regular ten dollar subscriber, without subscribing.

Im thinking anything between 1- 5$ would be tips and people who donate 10$ a month get unlimited 10 dollars of any commissions they get from me. So say a sketch for 15 dollars, You pay 5 because you subscribed! Color commission for 25? You pay ten!
