Post FWA 2025 Report
Posted 5 months agoOh? I did I not make it obvious we were gonna be at FWA this year? XD
Well, we were there from Day 1 on the 8th till the 12th after it ended just so we could enjoy the festivities of Sunday of the Con since last year we had to miss that day entirely due to our work schedules and funds only allowed us to be at FWA for the Fri and Sat of the Con. We came back this year for all of it, minus the Aquarium event due to funds to afford that event on top of Registration and Hotel cost ^^;
Where do I begin?!
Um...Do I begin with the crappy sleep my brain gave me the days up to it? Yeah. My brain decided that if I wasn't already stressing about making sure everything was packed...it decided to go, "LET'S WAKE UP AT RANDOM INTERVALS WHEN YOU GOTTA BE UP AT 6 A.M.!" >< That made sleeping the day before it really hard. I took the 7th through the 12th off from Work so I had time before it began to relax and to let my hubby get a full day's sleep in before he had work the night before we drove to Atlanta.
More like, he drove and I played DJ and passenger princess.
He got off work Thurs morning, came by , got me and all our stuffs. Off to grab McDonald's breakfast, gas up the car and a stop by 7Brew for coffee for the drive, more like Energy Drink from 7Brew for the hubby so he could stay awake for the drive.
We got to the Hilton sometime after 10 a.m. since it was only a 2.5 hour drive, surprisingly. Paid the early check in fee and got up to the room to unpack and just a chill a bit before we hit the Con Floor.
Guys. This Con was PACKED.
If you haven't heard, it was 17, 736 people in attendance this year. So yeah. Packed.
Registration was interesting and we managed to get through it and then enjoyed walking the Marriott over, heading to some panels like the Yeen Meet Up and can't recall what else we did XD
Sad downside of Thurs: Stair Con. We were on the 11th Floor and had to huff it to the 11th floor and then my hubby had to, bless his soul, walk down them and BACK UP THEM with our pizza he ordered later that night. My strong hubby wanting to provide for us.
Friday: REN FAIRE WEARINGS! We brought our Ren Faire attire and wore it around and I will say this, it was rather comfy and people commented on the hubby's coyote pelt he wore which made him rather happy and to those who called out to me about my Marie tattoo, you guys rocked.
We got into the Dealers Den Friday morning and let's just say...things were packed. But upside to it was meeting the voice actors Jonah Scott and Ben Diskin. They are the voices behind Legoshi and Jack in Beastars and other anime series. If you guys ever get to meet them, you will not be disappointed. They are sweet, and such dorks.
We also got to meet a fellow SoCal Furry whose an animator, known as Pinkie Davis XD Funny to know she's out in a similar area where we used to live 5 years ago XDD
Small world!
My heart was so full getting to finally meet Rukis and buying one of their books. I would have loved to have bought more of their books, but sadly, we didn't have much spending money this year. No real reason behind it, but adulting sucks.
We had to rush from the Dealer's Den to try and make it to Opening Ceremonies which we did make it to and it was pretty awesome.
We ended up in the room to chill and the hubby to pass out so sadly, I had to miss the Warriors Trivia Panel (if it happens again next year...I'm dragging him to it and propping him up like Weekend at Bernies to go to this!) but it was it what it was. But when we were heading to Yammo the Yeen's Comedy Panel...we saw flashing lights in the Hilton -_- Someone either pulled the fire alarm or someone did something to set it off. Making the elevators not work.
HERE WE COME STAIRS. Thankfully it was only the 11th floor to the 2nd Floor. Not too bad.
If you have not seen Yammo's act yet, FIND HIM ON TIKTOK! NOW! DO IT NOW! He is a silly Yeen and so a sweet person. We ran into him and a friend of his in the Dealer's Den and he was so warm and sweet and gives awesome hugs.
Once that event ended...back to the room and pass out XD
Sat: Fursuit Mingle Day! Since the Con is not able to host a Fursuit Parade like most Cons we have a Mingle which is at 10 a.m. where they line us up in the Atrium Stage room of the Marriott and take a GIANT group photo and then do species group photos. And then we all file out as we want to the area outside to Mingle. Which is an awesome time to meet other furs or run into people you've never met before.
Sat. was also the day of the Warriors Animated Panel. Oh. My. God. The talent behind this project...I could cry.
We got to hear about the process and see the character sheets! AAAA! They're gorgeous! And see a 1 min preview of it...I'm gonna be so annoying once this goes live.
Once we left that, we went by the Help Desk for the Moonlight Festival to ask if they needed help setting up. Changed into regular clothes (was in some fursuiting stuff even if I was using the Spirit Halloween head and paws and slippers from Wal-Mart to "suit") and came back down to help out and we ended up helping longer then we had planned XD
If you we are it and got asked to stay behind the Yellow Tape near the Aerial Act...um, Hi? And I'm sorry if it sounded like we were being rude. Not our intentions. Just wanted to keep you guys safe and the actors safe too.
We had signed up earlier in the day to help out in the Con Store for a couple of hours to not only earn the pin for Volunteering but also the Trading Card XD and that was the next morning on Sunday.
Sun: *tired* "Didn't we say we would go volunteer at the Con Store?" "Yes..." "Damn." XD We we're so tired from being at the event the night before till 12:30 a.m., almost 1 a.m. but we pushed through, went down and did our time in the Con Store and eventually got our Card and Pin ^^
The trading cards were a new thing this year! When you went through Registration you got a pack of Trading Cards and then you had to go certain things and do certain things to get certain cards.
Volunteer
Go to Hoppy Hour
Go to the Aquarium
Attend the Mocktail Masquerade
Check out the Furality VR Space
Visit the Quiet Room (quiet space for neurodiveregent/overstimulated/need space from the Con)
Shop at the Con Store
Check in with the Ambassador Desk
Dealer's Den
Visit the Board Game Room
...I think that was most of them ^^;
It was really fun and due to helping at the Con Store we are able to get some of the ones we were missing and eventually got our last missing ones from a Staff member who had extras.
We so hope they bring them back next year. Please!!!!!
Sunday was the Closing Ceremonies which had an AMAZING promo for next years. Nowhere Inn Between! We walked around the Con space and then retired to our room but not before earlier in the day finally meeting up with a couple we had made friends at a Warriors Book Meet Up last year due to the Graphic Novel re-launch for Warriors. I had stayed in touch since then and even when this Springs came around and we had Messenger tag going on XD We would run into one another in passing but didn't get a set time to chill and talk before they had to leave Sun afternoon.
This Convention...was amazing. So much serotonin. And such a needed break from our jobs.
To those we met, talked to, hugged, and got photos with....Thank you one and all.
The serotonin gained from this Con took over the serotonin from last year.
We're in plans for next year's and hopefully gonna have
in attendance with us ^^ its the hope and a shout out to ya, if you can't make it for any reason, I'll make sure something of YOU is with us in photos XD YOU WILL BE AT THE CON WITH US IN SOME SHAPE OR FORM.
Until next year...

Life Update for 2025
Posted 6 months agoWell, the end of last year came with some rough patches.
Last September we lost my Mom's brother, my uncle around Labor Day and then we had a hard hit on Christmas Eve morning. We got word of my Mom's mother, my grandmother passing away.
Just a one two punch of sorts. My uncle was one that we didn't see as "Wow didn't see that coming" since he hadn't been taking care of his diabetes for a long time and he basically gave him once his Mom went into Assisted Care. But it is what it is.
January was kinda "Meh" when it came to stuff in life and same with February.
This month of March has been a blur of sorts aside from spending 11 years wedding anniversary with my hubby going out to food and then coming home to curl up and have him teach me how to play the Gundam TCG that its launching this Summer XD Seeing how he got his paws on the Beta last year and has the cards and set up the cards the way the Demo Decks will be whenever that goes on next Month.
My b-day is coming up the 29th and just another day on the calendar honestly for myself aside from the fact we're going to go play with some kitties at a Cat Cafe in Rock Hill, SC ^^
Fluffy serotonin until FWA XD
As of writing this, we're 6 weeks out!
Rather excited to get to attend the whole Con this time around with having a Hotel room to enjoy the Con in its entirety.
We will be there from the start of the Con till the day after it ends just to be able to enjoy the Closing Ceremonies and any last day events and hanging out and all that jazz.
Hopeful plan this year is to try and go to Carolina Renaissance Festival seeing as how last year's Hurricane put a damper on those plans

Life Update +Plus Edit
Posted a year agoFWA came and went and dealt with the PCD by unfortunately getting sick weeks after the Con which hit the hubby first and then me, which really sucked because it kicked our tails HARD.
June was a kind of a blur, and same with July.
And August as well, aside from finishing my Bachelors in Healthcare Administration and been job hunting online for work in that degree field to get out of Retail.
If anyone knows of anything, shoot me something my way if you can.
Had some crazy weekends like the hubby and I seeing The Lion King musical in the local downtown area of our city and it was AMAZING.
****
Edit: The events originally planned for late Sept into early Oct ended up get the kabosh due to the horrendous Hurricane known as Hurricane Helene. We were safe, but were without power from the start of the Hurricane till the following Monday. The event in GA for Jason Marsden got pushed to later in Oct. but sadly, we can't go do scheduling conflict. We will just have to meet him at another event or Con sometime in the future.
Carolina Fur Fare was postponed due to the Hurricane as well not just in general for ourselves, but the Con was postponed to keep all safe and due to the Western NC was hit HARD by the Hurricane. And we ended up cancelling our Ren Faire plans as well due in part to the Hurricane chaos and even more so now since the hubby is doing overtime especially mandatory overtime this weekend to make up for loss of pay for the place he works at being down for a while due to the Hurricane.
For those who were effected by the Hurricane, you're in thoughts and prayers day by day.

Post FWA Report
Posted a year agoWhere do I begin?
It. was...AMAZING!
For it being our first furry convention, it may seem to many that the question would be, "Why choose this one as your first? Its so big!" Well, when you've gone to one of the biggest Anime Con's in Southern CA for a number of years, you get used to the crowds and chaos that comes with it XD
Yeah. We've both gone to Anime Expo which is HUGE.
But we were so sensory overloaded with all the crazy amounts of fursuits!
To those we met, talked to and hugged and spent time with...YOU GUYS SO ROCKED!
Oh my God. Our morning started Friday morning at 4:30 a.m. of getting up, getting dressed, tossing stuff from one Ren Faire box into another to put together a box for the Con of taking any and all furry stuffs we had to bring with us, our clothes to change into the next day and the ability to carry home any swag we bought and brought home. Got breakfast on the go at a local gas station, coffee at our fave coffee place called 7Brew (sorry Starbucks, this place has our hearts) and then hitting the road!
We would have been at the Con Hotel for Registration with more time before it opened if the road to Atlanta didn't have a point where they had us shut down for almost 45 mins for who knows what reason: Accident? Construction crew trying to get into the area? Who knows.
Moved on, and got to the Con Hotel after we parked in the parking structure at the Hyatt and met some furs on the way to the Registration who were so nice to help us find our way who had been there, done there XD Thank you guys once again!
Once we got in line, got our wristbands registered, it was time to go raid the Con Store.
Guys. I say this with the whole sanity I can muster: YOU DO NOT NEED IT ALL. I take that back. We got stuff from the previous years and stuff from this year, especially at the check out counter XD Stickers, pins, patches.
We got Con Shirts, I got the jacket (I love it!)
We spent WAY too much XD But we're happy.
After we left the Con Store, it was to the Con Floor and OHMYGAWD. SO MANY SUITS. SO MANY PEOPLE! We couldn't take it all in without getting overwhelmed.
We made our way to the Hyena Panel ran by Maul (freaking awesome person, and even more awesome panel!) Even though before it was going on, we ran into the end tail of the Otter Panel. We got to meet some Otter furs and take pics and get hugs!
The hyena panel was amazing getting to sit with others who were interested in hyenas or are hyenas and coloring hyena coloring page badges and getting them laminated to wear on our lanyards. ^^ I love it!
At one point we managed to meet up with our buddy whose slowly become a furry and went to go stand in a LONG LONG LONG waiting line for the Dealer's Den/Artist Alley. Although we were stuck in it for a while, getting hot and just wanting to get in an shop, we ran into Stormi Folf who is such a sweetie! You are such sweet Folf! We finally after much waiting go into the areas and so many awesome artists and then the Vendors....you guys out did yourselves on the stuff you brought to make us drop money on your merch!
We just wish we had had more money to use to spend at the Dealer's Den. There was so much more to buy.
After we finished there, we checked out the side for the Adults. If you know, you know.
After that, I can't recall what we did XD I think I was just that overwhelmed that I can't recall it aside from going to get food in the Food Court and I will say this: "I hardly ate this Con. I was so overly blown away by the scenes of this Con I couldn't focus on my Chick fi la."
As the day wore on, we decided it was time to head to our Hotel we booked away from the Con Hotel.
I don't like expressing my emotions and how weepy I get but I will tell you this...I had not felt the amount of serotonin kick this gave me in just ONE DAY in almost 18 years. AX 2006 was my first Convention for anything and I fell in love with going to this Con after that first year going. It was such an amazing time running into to cosplays of characters I loved and meeting some awesome people. Especially a person we ended up befriending and having stay with us to save them driving back and forth: Kymba. (If you see this, HI!)
Just Day 1 of 2 for FWA gave me that serotonin I had that first time 18 years ago.
I literally was crying explaining that to my husband on the drive to our Hotel. I was just so overly happy and filled with so much joy.
Day 2 came the next morning and all that was running in my head as the day was going on and on was the Doctor Who line of "I don't wanna go..." as I knew the day was going on and on and the time was ticking away to when we would have to make the 2.5 hour car ride home before I had to get up and go to work Sunday morning. Even with that line running in the background, we had an amazing time just watching suits walk by. We even had some furs come and sit with us to chill with their breakfast and Starbucks known as Cupcake and Katy ^^ You ladies were so darn sweet!
I even got to snap a shot with the Dogku and Catsuki which was the highlight of the Con for me because I remember finding their suits on Twitter about a year or so ago and have wanted to meet them in person. When I find out they were gonna be at FWA, it was my mission to find them and ask for a picture ^^. Thank you both for your time and hope you had fun at the events you attended.
The Fursuit Mingle was MASSIVE. It was actually outside the room where they held the Fursuit Photo for the Con.
We finally at one point got to run into Jessi Wolfdog who my hubby had been chatting with (long story how that came to be XD) and we met up with her in her hotel room with friends where I received my FURSUIT TAIL my hubby commissioned from her. I was blown away and she is a super sweet lady. Thank you so much for the time, friendship and for letting me test out the fursuit heads you brought with you for friends to wear ^^. You made my Con. You made me wanna be buried in your Zira head. XD I didn't want to let it go, I wanted to keep suiting in it! But sadly, we would have to let that go and get food shortly after we followed her and some friends to a fursuit gathering they were going to and getting to hang out around with.
Food was had, and then it was time to go and get in line for the Night Time Event for Adults. I won't go into what it was, but if you know of it, then keep it to yourself. I won't explain what it is, or why I won't describe its name I just don't wanna share AD stuff on my page.
The Event was AMAZING. Loud. Packed. And full of entertainment.
Props to the Drag Queens who performed at. You ladies have the energy I wish I had. Those kicks, those jumps and just that energy. Chef's kiss.
We left the Con around 9, 9:30 p.m. and got home after midnight ^^; I passed out the whole ride home and then passed back out when we got home knowing I had to get up at 6 a.m. for work Sunday morning.
Even with the Con over, I'm using the 2 days after we went to recover a bit mentally, and sleep wise ^^;
I've got school to do, but...mind can't focus if I feel like I might be tired.
If you've ever wanted to check out FWA, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Check it out in 2025! Its a Cyberpunk theme with an Event Day on the Thurs of a Furry Takeover of the GA Aquarium (Separate ticket from Registration).
That is all.

Even with the Con over, I'm using the 2 days after we went to recover a bit mentally, and sleep wise ^^;
Countdown to FWA
Posted a year ago*looks around*
Um. Yeah. You read that right.
My hubby and I are actually making the trek to FWA! We've been in South Carolina almost 4 years and we are JUST NOW hitting up this Con a little over 2 hours South of us!
Mainly due in part to a former co-worker but still good friend of my hubby went the year before, being a non Furry, and fell in love with the scene and told him about some parts of it that picked up my hubby's interest to where he messaged me on his last break at work with "We're going to FWA btw."
Me: Um...okay? Where is this coming from!?
We've got our tickets bought, and waiting on the wristbands to show up in the mail XD
Sadly, we will only be hitting up Friday and Sat. of the Con due to we are adults and have to Work and...my work couldn't guarantee me off the Sunday in case we get home uber late Sat night ^^; so I'll be surviving on iced coffee at work while dealing with crowds of customers grocery shopping.
We're so excited for this since its our first Furry Convention and I had wanted to go one that was being held in California LONG time ago known as Califur that I think has now become Golden Valley or Golden City Fur Con, someone correct me, but time and transportation were not always so readily available. But now! We've got some of that to our advantage and looking forward to seeing all the furries in Atlanta in May!
I'm trying to find time to buy a Hyena kigu as a "fursuit" lol for the Con because I know I could just wear a Nomad Complex shirt and my Ren Faire tails and still have fun, but I wanna be a Hyena for a time XD
And always wanted a Kigu.

Bump Bump Bump
Posted a year agoI don't think anyone really reads these but thought I'd bump the last one since its the new year and been the New Year for almost a month now XD
Well, January has come and gone in a flash of sorts and it surprised me by sending the emails of the last 4 courses I'll be taking in Spring/Summer for my Bachelor's Degree and I'll have one course from March till I think its April/May and then the last 4 will be during May/June and July/August...when I saw those emails it hit me like, "Damn. I'm really this close to being done?!"
Anyone else whose gone through the Bachelors Degree journey will know how it feels. Its felt quicker for me because:
1) A lot of my previous courses from the back and forth of majors from 2004-2008, trying to get into RN school from 2014 till 2018, not getting in and doing CNA coursework counted towards classes taken so I didn't have do much per-requiste work
2) Each semester is an 8 week period of 2 courses with a Discussion board due on Thurs. for initial post and all homework due by Sunday night before midnight EST especially the responses for the discussion board.
I started this the Oct before last and this August will be when I can petition to graduate! AAAA! Your girl is gonna have her Bachelor's this Fall!
Last March the hubby and I got matching wedding anniversary tattoos and in place of a nerdy shopping spree like last year, he's letting me do a b-day tattoo of Marie from The Aristocats and no idea how we're celebrating 10 years this March. We shall figure out something.
Aside from all that, not much else to report aside from...wanting out of my job once I graduate. Retail is for some, and not for all. Especially the area I work in. Each day, I want to scream at my co-workers over the most simple details.
"You see that this has a spot already under THIS number? PUT IT THERE, NOT OVER HERE!"
"WHY IS THIS OVERSIZED DELIVERY DOWN HERE AND NOT WHERE IT SHOULD BE?!"
A lot of details that drive me nuts.
I don't begrudge having a job, its paying for me to go school right now...but just the co-workers I work with is like, "MOVE. MOVE FASTER"

Journal Bump
Posted 2 years agoIn the last 5 months since I made my last Journal I figured it was time for a bump.
Back in March I celebrated 9 years of wedded bliss w/my hubby by getting a matching tattoo with him that is a wolf's paw with our wedding date in the toe beans of the paw. The wolf paw may seem corny, but for us its special since we both have a love for wolves, our fursona's our wolves, well his a Skulf (Skunk/Wolf) and like wolves, we plan to always be mated for life. I have to say, for a first tattoo ever, it wasn't too bad. Aside from the part where the tattoo needle was doing its work towards the inner part of my arm. I had to keep from wanting to stop the tattoo for a break XD
A week later I got my b-day off from work without even asking for it XD And my hubby took me on a b-day shopping spree X3
If you've seen or heard the TikTok audio that goes, "I left you alone for 5 minutes and you spent $825?...You left me alone...in a Costco." or something similar XD that was how I felt when I dumped a pile of DnD minis on the table of our local book shop among some trade paperbacks of comics I wanted to have in my collection such as the Critical Role: Mighty Nein Origin comics (still need the others, but waiting on the trade paperback of it) and it continued as he let me shop at Hot Topic and I forget where else I went. But I will say this, my hubby spoiled me this year.
April through now has been doing online schooling for my Bachelors Degree. And I just finished another semester recently and about this time next year I'll be taking my last classes or class and get to petition for my degree and then start planning to fly to New Hampshire to walk and get my degree and then after that, looking for work in my degree's field so I can get out of retail XD
Other then that, been working on some doodles during my down time and I'll upload 'em this weekend to bump up my Gallery a bit.

Over 12, 000 Pageviews
Posted 2 years agoI'm rather surprised by the number is all XD
Don't know what is making people check out my Gallery or even my Profile page, but thank you guys for over 12,000 pageviews!
I still have a Hufflepuff doodle tattoo idea to toss up here once I'm free from class work again. This week should be a little less crazy trying to have a little free time since the homework isn't too crazy. This week was a little hectic since I got wiped out from work during the week and then celebrated my hubby and I's 9 year wedding anniversary by getting matching tattoo's that show off our wedding date and then just having a crappy headache on my only day off this week kinda put a damper on finishing homework Friday to use tonight to maybe work on it.
Other then that, thank you guys one and all for all the page views!

Bump
Posted 2 years agoJust posting this keep my page alive XD
Well I managed to Ace my first semester with all A's and almost done with Semester 2 of who knows how many left when they're 8 week long courses almost back to back of one another. So far, this semester doing almost as good as the first semester. Although almost week is almost a new paper to write, a discussion board and every other week is a Quiz...*head/desk* AND SO MUCH READING!
I'm on my second to last week of school for this semester and the last week should be a breeze of just one reading chapter for one class and then discussion boards for both and should be able to knock them out early so I can enjoy the rest of my week before I start the next 2 on the 27th of February. Having a small break before I start the next 2 will be nice to be able to catch up on the Critical Role book Kith and Kin of Vax and Vex.
I've also got into Critical Role: Vox Machina and the hubby and I have watched all of Season 2 and NOW WANT SEASON 3 ALREADY! And so pumped that the 2nd campaign got greenlit for an animated series! Other then that, just trying to stay sane with school and working. Celebrating V-Day belated this weekend with the hubby since we both had to work and we usually treat every day like V-Day for us. ^^
March is gonna be a fun rollercoaster of stuff since on our 9 year wedding anniversary we're getting matching tattoos for the first time, his second tattoo and my first XD He got a Warhammer 40K Space Wolves Sigil on his left shoulder but we're getting a couples one on the 22nd of March and then the 29th of March I make another trip around the Sun.
All and all, check you guys later!

Happy New Year and Journal Bump
Posted 3 years agoWell *looks around* Guess we all survived another year, right? Aside from the celebrities and individuals lost last year. Last year my hubby lost his Dad and then about 7 months or so later he lost his bio grandad. It was hard all around. Not to mention having to deal with some family issues here that those close to us know what is going on and won't spill that drama onto here. Just...was a whirlwind.
Left my 3 1/2 year healthcare career for retail. Yay? But its definitely been a little bit of a fresh bit of air aside from wanting to run customers over with my Pick Cart (I do curbside pick up and delivery) Its had its ups and downs, but far less stressing then patient care. Not that I'm dumping on those who do it. You guys are big time Heroes to me. I just couldn't do it anymore with getting too attached to my patients and the mental hit was taking on me. Especially when we were in CA and living with the in laws who had similar issues to those I was caring for at work.
With the retail job I'm in they offer education assistance of paying tuition and all that so I'm taking advantage of it to get my B.S. in Healthcare Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Information Management. Yeah. You may be reading that and going, "But you just left healthcare for a more stressful healthcare job? Wtf?" It is in healthcare but if I do anything related to my concentration I won't at best have patient interaction. Just paperwork.
I enjoyed the side of it when doing stuff with caring for people like wound care and all that, but just...the physical and mental side of it was getting to be too much.
If you've been in the healthcare field or have someone in your life whose been in it or currently in it, you'll understand.
Other then that, turned another year older, celebrated another year married to my best friend and Aced my first semester of courses! Woo! And now starting another 8 weeks of Online courses which are on Healthcare Economics and Delivery Systems. So yeah a little heavy on this semester, but worth reading.
Until I finish schooling completely I'm not drawing period even if I have the urge to. Trying to avoid all distractions outside of school.

Foxtober Is Coming and Misc
Posted 3 years agoI've seen mention of Foxtober coming around from the user on Instagram that I did last years Foxtober prompts off.
As much as I want to participate, I might try and tackle some of 'em but not try it this year since trying to do one every day is a little hard on me so I don't end up w/lack with motivation to take part in a fun drawing prompt for the month of October.
Other then the not wanting to push my motivation to its limit; its also due to the fact I'm gonna be starting online college courses starting October 24 till mid December and the courses are a B.S. in Healthcare Administration even if they're just General Ed courses, its still steps towards my Bachelors degree. So, my time in October is gonna be focused on school since I'll a LOT of online reading/homework/projects for 2 classes I'm taking from 10/24 to mid December. Which means my evenings that I spend relaxing and unwinding are gonna be me buried on my laptop reading assignments/doing assignments and studying for stuff.
Which also means any doodling/writing is on hold till after the Semester is over in December.
Once class is over for the first semester, I'm gonna try unwind with posting up the DnD Gnoll tale first chapter and try and get more of the other chapters revised/written.
I've got a plan to doodle up something for the 10 year anniversary of getting proposed to just to remember that happy moment from 10 years ago even if we're already married but wanna be cheesy and lovey dovey.

Radio Silence For Too Long XD
Posted 3 years agoI know I'm not a big creator on here or anything, but I feel bad when I leave Journals up for too long XD
I have started reworking my DnD story I had started and now and again get back to, but I have to be in a writing mood to work on it let alone read my own work to edit it. Haven't picked up my digital tablet pen in MONTHS to even doodle. Kinda comes and goes with the mood to do anything. Especially when I'm working the days I do with being a Personal Shopper for Wal-Mart in the Digital side of it. I come home and just flop and take a nap with the hubby and then space out on TikTok once he goes to work till I go find dinner and then spend time on my phone or reading.
In October I'm gonna try and do a piece to commemorate a special moment in our relationship that happened 10 years ago. I even want to try and do it on TikTok as well to just have some random stuff on there.
Once I feel the drive to upload Chapter 1 of my DnD tale that centers around a Gnoll (hyena like creature for anyone not familiar) and a trinket he gains from a mysterious person that shifts him to a human where he falls for the Princess of the town near his Clan's camp grounds who has slipped away from royal duty to be a Priest in training. But, like any potential Beauty and the Beast like tale, it does not end up with the Beast with the Beauty. More or less, him slipping away once the BBEG is defeated and it causes a wisp to take him away and take away his human disguise before her eyes. Leaving her and the rest of the party to celebrate their win in a Tavern wishing it was not all how it turns out to be.
Might have spoiled the ending there XD But, gotta drag you guys into reading it somehow.
I might try and figure out a doodle to be a cover art for the chapters as I post them but we shall see.
It might not get anyone to read it, but at least I had it off my mind and up online for anyone interested to read it.

Bump Bump
Posted 3 years agoI know my last Journal is only 2 months old, but figured I'd give an update on the story I mentioned I'm working on writing.
I have at least 5 chapters written, but I might be altering some details about it a little bit and making some chapters a little longer due to how I was writing it was in a "Chapter Format" and had written out some outline ideas for the story to flow, but been taking some time to sit back and hammer out some small details here and there. Almost like making "Character Sheets" for the characters in it like you would when making a Character to play as when playing DnD. Its helping me flush out some details to work into the story a little more since I don't want to go TOO in depth with the tale and chase people away from reading it because of too many words or too many details.
Once I get back to working on writing it instead of writing out background details or stuff that is outlined to write into the story, I'll be trying to post the first chapter on here or maybe write a Prologue chapter to kind of lay out the work for the story. I'm also gonna be posting it on my DeviantART under username: Rizafan203 on there. Its gonna take some time since I'm also using my days off to either relax or catch up on reading the books I have piling up in my room XD
Especially since I recently got the book Sylvanas for WoW and also Kith and Kin for Critical Role: Vox Machina among others on my growing list of to read along with keeping up with Erin Hunter's work of "Bamboo Kingdom" or "Bravelands" and eventually the next book of the new arc in Warriors.
Other then that, not much else to say. Still haven't really drawn in a while due to I haven't had the drive to draw. Writing has become my new muse currently and reading is my passion of a hobby right now.

Bump
Posted 3 years agoJust realized my other Journal was 5 months old and Foxtober has come and gone and it was actually a fun challenge to undertake to come up with ideas to go with the different themes for each day. And since those 5 months, I have made a change in my life, career wise. I left my field of being a CNA due to just "caregiver burnout" I've been in the field for 3 1/2 years and it was becoming too stressful for me. To the point that all I talked about at home was my work and the drama going at times at work.
I needed a change. And since changing from Healthcare to Retail its been such a relief off my shoulders. Less stress and the people I work with are freaking awesome! Friendly and helpful. I actually look forward to going to work without dreading getting up in the morning at my alarm and not knowing what the day was going to bring. What unholy Hell was gonna be unleashed. And what was I gonna face dealing with my Unit Manager.
The change of career/work has made me feel less stressed.
I haven't an interest to draw too much since my most of attention on my days off and when I get off work has been to play Final Fantasy 14 Online on the PS5, but I have begun to start the beginning of an Original Story I hope to actually follow through that is gonna be DnD based. Especially since I rolled for the characteristics for the Adventurers my main protagonist meets up with in the tale. And the main character is a Gnoll XD I might upload it on here as I get more details hammered out and figured out.
Its not gonna be too heavy on DnD elements, but the Classes and Jobs are gonna be drawn from DnD 5th Edition and kinda borrowing a small element in it from the Wild Beyond the Witchlight Scenario book for a flashback in the story that kinda ties in an element in the story. Kind of a mini backstory for belated family member of my main character.
Once I get through the first chapter or so, I'm gonna upload here and see what you guys think.
Other then that, catch you all on the flip side

Foxtober Flood Coming
Posted 4 years agoI was on Instagram and an artist I follow on there created up Foxtober prompts I'm gonna try and hit almost all of 'em for the month of October but we shall see how far I get XD
I've got at least the 4 days sketched up and 2 of 'em colored/shaded and the other 2 I've got to finish of the ones I've done ahead of time so far this way they're finished and ready to upload here and on my Instagram. The artist I got the prompt from is: martith.art and here's a link to the prompts if you guys wanna try em out: https://www.instagram.com/p/CUIqRB-....._web_copy_link
If it doesn't work, I'll try and put the list on here with total credit to the artist who came up with 'em. One of is "Crystal" and I'm going with a unique take on the word by trying my hand a certain fox race from Star Wars XD Since I know most would jump to a certain Star Fox of the same name to draw for this prompt.
Trying to be creative and get back to sketching more to get better. Especially since I'm at a stand still to work on a WoW fanfic based off artwork from an artist on Twitter who created an AU idea that if the King of Azeroth had been trained by Malfurion instead going the way he goes with his ability to Priest abilities.
I've got a least 2 chapters up surrounding him obtaining the ability to transform into a Feral form and kinda stuck there since...I kinda have him going after an Artifact Weapon from Legion for Druids ^^; so...I have to do some research about how to approach it without it sounding cheesy but not too lore heavy in regards to the world of WoW to make it easier for those who not familiar with WoW to read it. And being that Legion was about...2 expansions back from the current content ^^; so a little rusty.

Journal Bump
Posted 4 years ago*looks around* I can see its been a while since my last one XD
Not much else, just been working and doodling when the moment hits me and currently the writing bug has snagged me a bit in the realm of WoW based on fan arts by an artist on Twitter and I haven't written anything in the realm of fanfiction in a LONG time.
If fanfiction.net is still a world that most people remember...um...yeah, I have some CloudxSephiroth slash fiction over there still waiting to get edited and wrapped up...among some other FF related slash fiction I have on my account on that site...
Yeah.
And of course my attempt at original furry literature on here that I can't recall what its called ^^;
But it takes a little something to spark fan fiction in me inspired by fan art. My friend I've known firstly through IM back in 2006 and then in person and still stay in touch even though they're busy made up some Persona 3 fanart that inspired me to write up some fanfiction's for her but since then I haven't really written in a long time.
Other then that, I've got some sketches made up to finish, line, and color as well as shade to upload in October as part of Fall/Halloween feel that they are inspired by an old Sketchtober list I found online. Just a case of getting a kick in the butt to try and finish them and upload 'em.
Aside from that, Journal bump is bumped.

Another Year Older
Posted 4 years agoWell, the New Year came and went and we had our first little bit of snow flurries after moving to South Carolina which made us excited since we didn't have it that much in the part of Southern CA we came from. It made our first Winter here pretty special ^^
February came and went and celebrated Valentine's Day a little early with the hubby by going to Red Lobster to celebrate since I had to work on the actual day of the lovey dovey holiday. And then March came on like a hurricane. We celebrated another year of married bless of being married for 7 years now and recently celebrated myself turning another year older. The day after my actual b-day was meant to be a day to go and shoot bows and arrows, but we didn't realize we needed to do a Lesson before we the actual shooting
So, we set up an appoint for a couple weeks out and went about searching through Manufactured Homes to get an idea of homes to eventually put on a piece of land we are in search of to move out onto our own seeing our financial matters of credit card debt is slowly finishing off. And looking at models gave us some ideas to look at for the future as we continue searching.
With turning that age of 35 it makes the internal clock most women start ticking, and for me its been ticking for a little while. And we're in talks to eventually start having little ones in our lives. Its on the table of talking and preparing for especially since we're working on getting a piece of land and a home for it. Not including talks of trying to eventually go back to school, but instead of jumping right to RN, I'm debating going back to be a LVN/LPN before jumping to RN because there is always the chance of one type of program not working out and needing a back up.
Other then all that, life has been what its gonna be with our busy work lives.
I've got some doodles still WIP on my laptop, but been busy catching up on Warriors XD And with trying to work on a doodle, either my pen has died or the battery needs replacement. Considering I'm using a Surface Pro 3 from 2014 those drawing pens use a AAAA battery to power 'em so...until I replace said battery, no doodles.

Giving Thanks and Year Closing
Posted 5 years ago2020 is a year that many are gonna look back and go, "What 2020? Isn't that an old T.V. show?" since this year has been chaotic for many and caused a lot of drama within the world and cost many their lives.
Aside from the chaos of COVID-19 taking over the world, 2020 has been a year of change for myself and my husband as we packed up our belongings and moved from one Coast to another with my family and have been making the best of the move.
I'm in a better facility working as a CNA then where I was originally, and my husband is in a steady, career job doing manufacturing on a line.
Making more pay then he was at his old job. We both come home sore from 8 hours on my feet and for him its 10 hours on his feet, but we're making money to survive and pay off debit we piled up while in California. And we've made plans to pay it off and be paid off by at the latest, August 2021.
Which means for me: I can apply for school! We had to get on our feet first, but its a goal we're reaching for in the new year even if I have to do my Nursing schooling Virtually or even a hybrid of virtual/in class. And we will be debit free and be able to start the journey towards our own home sometime in the next year or so.
Spooky Season came and went and now the time of giving Thanks is coming in a week and I'm thankful for the fact my folks are willing to put a roof over our heads as we pay off debit and get on our feet. And thanks goes to my in laws in CA who let us live with them until our move. I'm thankful and grateful for all I have and wish the same for those even if you are struggling in these times where unemployment is very high and people are struggling to make ends met with pay to pay.
In this coming season of Fall/Winter and Holidays, hold tight to those close to you even you can't physically do so.
Think on them often and keep in touch as much as you can.

Spooky Month Is Here
Posted 5 years ago...And...I have some doodles I wanted to have done and uploaded for this month but ^^; I managed a bit before the move out here to SC to find the PDF formats of the first 3 books of the Visions of Shadows arc for Warriors and have dived into 'em after reading Bramblestar's Storm, Hawkwing's Journey and Crowfeather's Trial. And...reading those first 3 PDF books has taken up my time till purchase the digital book versions of the last 3 to catch up on the series before I'm too behind the series since they're already on the latest Arc with Broken Code.
So...long story, short...Doodles are gonna be sitting on my hard drive for a while XD And might get finished and put out as time comes and goes.
I've mentioned ones in the works and I think uploaded WIP of one or two but as it is, when I get into catching up on books...I get really involved in my reading and the free time when I get home before my husband gets off work is the time I have to read my books and on my days off too.
I'll eventually draw and all that eventually, but...WARRIORS HAS MY SOUL AT THIS MOMENT.

Hello From South Carolina
Posted 5 years agoWell, we got here June 30th and were staying in a Hotel till the 9th of July because we had to wait for last finishes on the house and once we got in, things got nuts with the move in and getting settled and then of course I had Job Interviews the 6th, 7th and 8th and landed a job with each interview. I ended up taking the one from the 6th and had to go through stuff like filling out paperwork and doing other things to get ready for the job.
And then a weeks worth of training and then been working since I'm doing full time, 5 days a week from 7am to 3pm and then having to get up at 6 am to make sure I'm up and getting ready to head out the door by about 6:30 to drive the 15 minutes to work even with it being less than 7 miles from the house XD
SO MUCH CLOSER then my old job in California and so much better in regards of how it is with residents and the number of residents I have to work is smaller then my last job. Its a step up from my first CNA job which helped me become a stronger CNA when stress becomes hard.
With working the days I do and being up so early each day compared to the old shift I used to work that allowed me to sleep in till the afternoon I haven't had much time to sit and work on doodles I had drawn up before the move to have to do when I didn't feel like drawing up something on my days off. But before working I did managed to get some work done on some of them, but they're taking time to get finished because of the detail I've drawn into these works.
Each is inspired from a Warriors MAP (Multi Animator Project) I've watched several times and wanted to draw something based off 'em and because I wanted to add more Warriors fan art to my Gallery XD
I've got another one cooking in my head based off the chorus of the song "First Burn" which I believe is from the album of songs that were cut from Hamilton or I think were inspired by it, don't know the history of it. Either way, I was listening to it the other day and an idea came to mind.
Not gonna spill the beans of it yet.
Either then all that, the move out to South Carolina was uneventful but kind of a fun drive with my hubby and we've settled in living here even with the occasional Thunder/Rainstorm.

Radio Silence Upcoming
Posted 5 years agoWell. Today, June 20th marks the start of my last 4 days of work at my facility that I've worked at for almost 2 years. Its becoming reality that I won't be going back to work until we're in South Carolina and I nail one of the 2 interviews I have lined up so far.
Its kinda, unreal.
In my field of Healthcare, you grow attached to residents and co workers. The residents become like a second family to you in a way of you worry about them when they aren't at the facility and in the hospital or they're doing really bad health wise. And for my co workers, they become like a family for you when things go South at work and you need a lift up when things are bad.
Other then that, its surreal to be moving on from this place to create another new family with new co workers and residents wherever I end up working.
The reason this one is titled "Radio Silence" is due to the fact that on the 27th, we will be packed up in our car to begin the drive to South Carolina and with that means any doodles I want to upload on here are gonna have to wait till we're settled in but I do have some WIPs saved for time when we're settled and I've got some down time to try and draw.
They are Warriors related XD But they're something.
And the doodles are inspired by some Warriors MAPs (Multi Animator Projects) I've seen on YouTube because some of them have hit me with their songs and held onto my memory and inspired some doodles related to them.
Other then that, see ya guys when we're all settled into South Carolina.

Hello Hello
Posted 5 years agoNot much to say aside from the fact that its almost the halfway to the end of the Year and this Year hasn't been too good for many with the pandemic of COVID-19. For myself, I'm on the front lines as a CNA and having to don up in protective gear each day I go to work and there is always the chance of catching the virus working on the Front lines. And sometime around the end of March I was having a bad hacking cough.
Let's just say, my cough was enough to have my work tell me to take time off to avoid there being a chance of spreading it to residents.
2 weeks off and I came back to work and its been hectic some days due to some co workers have either been out due to being sick or just up and quit due to the current situation in the world to avoid the chance of spreading it to their families.

Moving Update
If it hasn't been made obvious in previous Journals, my husband and I, as well as my folks and younger brothers, are leaving CA for South Carolina and the latest from my Mom is in about 2 weeks from this Journal we should hear of the Closing Date on the house they're having built.
Once we hear that, we can start planning our 2 Weeks Notice to our bosses.
I've been mentioning to co workers and people I've come to know at my job that soon I'll be leaving and people are in shock that I'm moving and sad to see me leaving but its for the best for all of us.
During my down time from work when I was feeling okay to be up and about, my husband who stayed home with me, we worked on boxing up stuff that's either going with us, or staying here at his folks place for the time being. And with the potential of a moving date coming up soon, we're planning on times I'm off work to finish up the packing so we can eventually "test run pack" my little Toyota Corolla since we're driving our essential things we're taking with us in my car across the Country from CA to SC.

Faux Fur Stuffs, What's Happened With Them?
I decided to get rid of scraps and keep the bigger pieces of faux fur in a plastic tub to leave at the in-laws to eventually get into my possession once we have our own place. Elsa 1.0 head and tails and feet paws are trashed. My fursona's first tail that was put together with glue (Yeah, I legitimately glued the fur together because I wasn't familiar with Blanket Stitch like I am now ^^; ) is also thrown away as well as the premade tails I had made alongside premade ears.
Now, most of you are probably going "WHY?! That has to be a lot of money just tossed out?"
Answer: I just don't care. They've been hanging around for a while and don't have the time to store the items, upload them online and hopes they sell to then potentially if they sell, having to find time to get them mailed out with all going on in the World right now.
Elsa 2.0 is staying around alongside Marie from The Aristocats and my husband's head I made him some years ago and they'll be trash bags and packed away to keep them safe while they're stored away here in CA. I'm gonna try and find time to finish sewing up and gluing up Elsa 2.0 among getting ducks in a row, work wise, for the move. My hope is to get at least up to making her tongue, teeth, eyes and neck done on her and leave those small details till a later time. But we shall see how it all goes.
All and all, here and there doodling and posting on here when I can depending on how life is and getting ready for the move.
As posted in my Description of my Page, once we've hit South Carolina and have internet, I'll be changing my State Status from CA to SC.
Its been fun CA, I've lived here all my 34 years of my life, but its time for a State change and to make a change for the better for my husband and I and the rest of the family.
If I've befriended you over the time I've been here in CA, I'll miss you one and all, and will try and keep in touch with the 3 hour time difference XD

Hello Out There
Posted 5 years agoSorry for being silent on here since my last Journal. Just haven't had much to post on here since I've been busy with other stuffs like trying to find time to pack up our things since this Summer my whole family, including my husband and I are moving out of State for the East Coast and its been a process since we've had to find time to get a dumpster for clearing out stuff and finding weekends to work together on going through things to pack.
And my free weekends are few and far between.
Haven't really drawn lately because I haven't had a drive for it and been mostly buried off on World of Warcraft playing on a Vulpera (fox character for the Horde) and playing End Game Content for Battle for Azeroth and any time off I have I'm either spending it with the husband or the later that was just mentioned.
Current faux fur stuffs are still currently buried away in a hurricane of boxes and stuff in my mother in laws sewing room that is gonna be cleared out...eventually.
Elsa 2.0 is on hold for a LONG TERM HOLD seeing how I'm debating on boxing up what I have of her and the fur for her into a box to bring with us to the new place on the East Coast to then eventually work on again once we have our own place.
As for my other stashes of faux fur...I'm in the midst of planning to offer first grab at 'em to
and then the rest of 'em are gonna be either tossed out because I don't want to hold onto them and try and sell 'em and then having to find time when its safe with the current global situation going on to ship said pieces out.
Someone brought up in a comment on my Marie head that they miss seeing it. And its appreciated that someone likes the Head I made about a couple of years ago for a Halloween at work but I don't really go out and do anything with the Head and at the current moment she's in a corner of the sewing room collecting dust and don't know what future I'm gonna have for her when we move.
She's been well loved by me and I loved making her. But her future is undetermined at this time.
Other then all that, I'm working on a doodle for my hubby and I's 6 year Wedding Anniversary that I'll upload between now and the date on the 22nd of March.
Not much else, but stay safe out there guys with all that's going on.

As The Year Slowly Closes
Posted 6 years agoIts been a crazy sort of year, but not without some crazy milestones:
1) Celebrated 5 years married
2) Turned another year old
3) Made it to a Year as a CNA and a Year in my Job (especially when people have come and gone at my job)
And among the milestones, we, and in we, I mean my husband and I took a trip out to South Carolina to check out a housing development my folks were looking into, and we fell instantly in love with County of Greer near Greenville, SC. The house my folks are getting built is so big and so awesome and the background to it looks so pretty. Life there is so slow and easy going.
And if this wasn't obvious: Around the Summer of 2020 we're getting out California after being here almost all our lives.
Nothing against California, I've lived here almost 34 years, and I've seen it change in leaps and bounds and seen some chaos happen and nowadays, we're just ready to get the heck out of here. Cost of living has gone up to the point that for us to live we would have to work more then one job, which I know most people are doing. But its not for us.
South Carolina is gonna give us a fresh start, especially for me. School has been something people at work who know me have asked about to which I respond, "Trying to get into the local Community College here is a shot in the dark for the RN Program unless you've got a Straight A average. And its a lottery system to get picked."
With South Carolina, I'm gonna try and work still as a CNA till I get into school out in the area to start my trek to being an RN again. So that once I've got my RN Degree I can find work and get ourselves on our feet in our place.
With all of that, in the New Year we're gonna be finishing up packing up stuff and with that as well, I'm gonna be going through my faux furs and craft supplies to sell off to make space for stuff and downsize. As mentioned about going to school once we're in SC, fursuit stuffs is gonna be a BIG distraction so not having all my furs in boxes is gonna be a BIG BIG help to my studies.
Not giving up fursuit making or fursuiting at all, just don't need said distraction.
Once I know what I have for grabs, I'm gonna put up pics of the items on here.
I'll be once we get things arranged in the house at the in-laws to find it all.

Long Time No Update and Thanks for over 7,000 Pageviews
Posted 6 years ago*looks back at Journal History*
Um...Hi? Lol, been a while since I updated on here, here's a kind of rundown of how things have been since July/August.
July 1st was my 1 year anniversary at my job
July 24th marked 8 years with my man since first meeting him in person
August my folks went and do house searches on the East Coast around South Carolina and Tennessee and settled with SC
And throughout that time, talks were in place back and forth of my husband and I to go out and see South Carolina because my folks have their hearts set on it and Sept was planning, and then Oct we went out and saw the area for ourselves and fell in love with it. So much so that even I'm native Southern CA for almost 34 years but ready for a change.
Among all this going on, my charger for my Surface Pro has been buried and recently unearthed it to start charging it up again and gonna be doodling again when I have the time off because I've missed drawing.
XXX
I've been checking my FA on here via my phone and been seeing the page views and shocked that I've still got views with being off here for awhile and thanks goes out to all who've viewed this Page. ^^
