Give artists the ability to mark some art as "Watchers only" but still have a thumbnail as a teaser, this way you could encourage people who like art to follow an artist. Maybe also give certain special features as having an ask page or similar but its only availible to watchers.

When you upload art to a place like furaffinity or deivantart, which allows commenting you have to expect criticism of your work. These are not image sharing sites like E621 and fchan, these are artist communities. If you upload something lazy or bad, you will have to expect people calling you out on your bullshit. Just because you're more popular than the average man doesn't mean you are guaranteed to have your ass kissed by everyone and have everyone go "zomg luv u so much ur perfect" sometimes impartial people will come around an look past your veil of popularity and actually analyze your work without bias.

i've had it with furaffinity, the awful management and the piss-poor uptimes, will post for a little longer on furaffinity before migrating entirely.

Regarding my last two uploads, I realize they might have not been to everyones tastes and i tried to put a thumbnail on the one that was pretty nasty, but furaffinity and thumbnails doesn't seem to work at all sadly, so I am aware you might have seen something you didn't want to see because furaffinity is quite frankly a lousy website. I apologize for my careless uploading and will try to keep mostly to squeaky inflatables and inflation and whatnot.

I will probably fail this, but I will at my best capability try to make at least one serious sketch each day on any medium and then publish it here on furaffinity.

So, I dont know if any of you guys have heard of this before, but there has recently been an YCH art auction on this site which ended at 1325 USD. let that sink in for just a few seconds. $1325 for the artist to fill in the blanks in his already predetermined artwork. He knew what he was going to draw in the first place, all he does is just draw your character into it. And the appaling price of $1325

You could probably comission an equally skilled artist for $120-180 and then you would probably get full control of what goes into the picture, poses, characters, backgrounds and whatelse you want in the scene. By partaking in YCH auctions you are setting an accepted level of dumbfuckery on this website (if it wasn't bad enough already). You basically empower artists to continue this negative money-grabbing behaviour. It's pure laziness for a quick buck on the artists side. Especially when it's a popular artist as they are "big names" big name, fat payout from auctions just because it's their name on the artwork.

This is very concerning for an amateur artist such as me who draw just for fun, i know several professional artists in a real line of artistic work and not taking comissions online, yet he doesn't charge even a tenth of the price these YCH auctions end at. It's very bad for the artistic community as a whole and I really do hope they will forbid YCH auctions as they are just filling in the blanks with your character. Everything else is done already, anatomy, perspective. The artist doesn't have to put a lot of effort into it as long as they stay in their comfort zone. With YCH, you dont ever have to leave your comfort zone as people can just pay you shittons of money for minimal effort required.

Hoping for FA to crack down on YCH is like hoping for rain in the saharah, you know nothing will ever be done about it because the administration is lazy and uncaring of the website.

We are setting an incredibly bad stage for the future of artist-customer interaction. We show that it is okay to be moneygrabbing and lazy for just a quick buck. This is not good behavour.

Character auctions.

Spending obscene amounts of money on characters you never use is so absurd, i have a friend who bought a character, but he never used it once in art or anything else (at least as far as i was aware, and i am fairly close to him).

The designs of the characters aucioned off are often lackluster. They never have any specific characteristic, they just have some rainbow coloured markings all over. It's seriously a 5 minute job coming up with the shitty design which you paid like $120 for. It's just a quick buck by greedy artists who feels YCH auctions weren't quick enough money, why buy a picture + intellectual property for a character without any recognizable factors or anything that would really make a difference to you as you just as might have come up with a character all on your own and pay an artist to draw your concept instead of fucking around with someones 5 minute design ideas.

Big birds/fantasy birds (hawks, gryphonsand such): They love field sports like football

Dragons: Poor self esteem

Sharks: They absoluetly love to grin, everyone is a beach bum.

Foxes: Everyone is a copy of the other.

Lizards: Twinks, although wishing they were big and strong like dragons

Old computer monitor went bust on me today, sent it back to the retailer which are going to send it to the manufacturer. Will have to wait probably several weeks until i get a reply. And now there is no workspace for me on my desktop because of my big old fat CRT monitor taking up all the space.
