Heyo,

I haven't really used journals much for talking and it's been a while since I've made a proper journal soooooooo

I just started school. Classes seem good and hopefully will not kill me with homework! Two of them may try but, I'll be trying my hardest to avoid that. At the very least reduce any suffering that may occur. I returned from Mexico which was an interesting place. I GOT MY FIRST SUNBURN!!! _{(That's probably not the best thing to get excited about but I've never had one before so it was like, neat that it finally happened but like, really bad that it finally happened)} US customs was crappy and almost made me late for a layover flight. Thanks Obama. I'm moving to a new place, hopefully I like it there. It's closer to a road full of businesses like a movie theater and laser tag so, that's nice. Though school and work are five more minutes away only if I use the highway so, ehhh. That's the notable stuff I think.

Commission stuff! I'd like to try and start doing some but I still need to finish a few things. Making sure school doesn't kill me right when I open for commissions would also be nice to avoid. I finished my setup though so that makes things easier!

However, I've been doing these silly doodles at work and they essentially look like THIS (minus the color). I was wondering if anyone would want one of these for like, $3.00 - $5.00? I normally do that one type of face on blank scrap paper around work to cheer people up _{and maybe sometimes but not always I promise because I get bored} but I would be coloring these and I could do different expressions such as {2} and {3} I'll probably just have 5 slots for these, first come first serve.

So yea. That's a thing I guess. Just note me or leave a comment if you're interested.

Back to work for me.

Visiting the big city to see  laxden18 and other stuff for a week.

I'm going to try and finish some work that isn't drawing while I'm there as well. I couldn't even finish any digital drawings while I'm there but, I will be bringing a sketchbook. Hopefully I can bring back some doodles, maybe.

I'm considering the idea to start taking commissions and taking requests differently. I'm wondering what you guys think about this.

I'm starting to change how I organize my time again because I want to manage it better. In terms of the time I spend messing with art, some of the artwork I create isn't just for me so, I want to make a better system for me while still being good for others!

A recent art goal of mine is to create more diverse artwork instead of me trying to make one piece "perfect" which accidentally happens often. This especially happens with requests which makes me really slow at drawing, (~'o')~ I will try to finish them faster. Requests are great because they challenge me to do and learn better things and to create artwork I wouldn't have done otherwise. They can take up a lot of time however and I can't always judge how long they will take to complete in advance.

Thus, I was thinking of doing a sort of slot system that others use while doing certain types of commissions.
My plan may be:
---For commissions, I could open a batch of headshots slots that I know how long they'll take me to complete during a period that I know I will have time to complete them. First come first serve, I finish them and I open another batch at a later time.
---For requests, I could open a month long Journal/Trello for a sketch/YCH/something slot. Anyone could put their name down within that month for the request then RNG JESUS would pick a name and then I'd contact the winner.

Doing this would solve a few things in my life right now:
--1)I could decide on the workload and the type of work that I'm doing so that I can plan out my time in advance much better.
--2)I could sit down and draw just doodles more often and post them to twitter without feeling like I have unfinished work. Which I mean I do right now but, I don't want all practice to be with just requests.
--3)I could make a small secondary income so that I have money for college, food, and other stuff in the event that I quit my job and have to transition to another. The place I work at is in a terrible state and it won't become a better place afterwards. It's just a place where I'll make the most money before I start my actual career.
--4)I would work faster on commissions since they're paid work and I would know how long it would take me to do them.
--5)Doing commissions would logically be a better use of my time in terms of capitalism goals.
--6)And other things that I'll probably think of later.


The question about this though is, would anyone actually commission me? I'm unsure about prices for artwork and what type of artwork people would want. I've had some feedback from friends so I have a rough idea of what I may do. \('c') TY friends. However, I would like more input before proceeding with this.
So my questions are:
--1) Would these 2 types of commissions be something you or your friends would be willing to buy?

I'm almost FREE! I got 1 more exam and a week where I make up time at work but afterwords I'm free. So here's an update:

- I should get getting 5 As yay. I would have gotten at least 3 A++s but my school only goes up to A :(
- I gained a lot of great knowledge and I did a lot of cool projects. I may post some stuff about them. Maybe. Perhaps.
- A met a lot of cool people this semester which was great.
- A lot of other weird stuff happened and it has presented a lot of cool opportunities which is great.
- I actually got to play a relaxing game yesterday for once. Dark souls 3. I'm so conflicted about it but overall it's good.
- I went to MCFC and it was a blast. x3 I had to overdue myself in order to not fall behind on homework. Totally worth it though.
- I found out Tim Hortons has great egg and cheese croissant. I am afraid for my wallet.
- I did a lot of pixel art for class and I enjoyed it greatly. I may try to learn more about that in the future.
- Books can now enter my life again. I've been putting some off because of school.
- Request and personal art can be a thing again too yay. I'll start working on stuff in May.
- I can also complete and do other stuff I've been needing or wanting to do starting May too yay. Maybe sooner, we'll see.

:3 Hope everyone else has been doing well and hopefully this summer is a great one.

Also if the bugs could just stay away from me that would be cool. This giant bug was on my door when I came home from work and water didn't scare it off. Instead of me fighting it, I went inside through my back door. When will the future be here. I need force field homes to keep bugs away.

-,- So yea, I'm not gonna take anymore requests right now. My classes aren't really hard this semester but just are time consuming. I have 5 classes which only 1 I'm ahead in.The rest of the classes I'm where I should be at which isn't normal for me because I'm usually ahead in most classes. One of my classes is an art class which takes a lot of time. Currently doing a fun project but it'll be awhile before I'm done with it. Another is a programming class which currently has a group project, ._. which I'm doing most of the work. Which is really fun to do but still, two man job and only one person doing the design and programming isn't really the best thing x3. Another class is purely a project class. There's really only that one project for the whole grade annnnndddd x3 I'm also doing a lot of the work in that one too. Luckily, 2 out of the 3 other people are doing work but only 1 out of the 3 communicates with everyone about what they're doing besides me so that's an awkward but easily manageable challenge to deal with. Then I have another project class that deals with architecture but that has smaller assignments, however, those assignments are also time consuming.

So yea, saying that I'm open for requests isn't really fair to those who have request right now. I'll open up again when I'm free. Trades are still open sort of but only because I don't trade often and getting an opportunity to trade stuff with others is really cool.

x3 Sorry it's taking so long for anyone that does have a request or trade. I will try to get back to those as soon as I can but realistically speaking, I probably will get back to drawing when I have some down time or when this semester ends. I may post some of my school work if I don't get those down times though.
