Post TFF Recap
Posted 9 years agoI don't know what it was about TFF this year but it overall turned out pretty amazing. I wound up rooming with Dolphin Boy (drummer from Bandthro) which was great, because the last few years I had been splitting a room with 4 people and always wound up sleeping across a chair and some foot stools. xD
Got to see everyone from Bandthro along with Mattew Ebel, Runtt, and Pepper again. I wound up spending a lot of time hanging out in the Musician's corner of the Dealer's Den next to Rhos and hanging out with all of them. There were always at least a few of us standing around blocking people getting by while holding beers it seemed. The Bandthro show went off extremely well. This year TFF had a lot of preparation done and the stage was up and ready before the con even got into full swing which was awesome. Big shout out to Bauson (as always) and Oddy. Also met Vahn who was also a huge help! After the Bandthro set I got the most wasted I've been in years and ran around the con with Pepper. We eventually met up with Fox and several others and had a drunk 3 AM sing along.
All that fun must have taken its toll because holy crap did I ever catch con crud. Wound up being pretty well down for a week, and wound up still having to work while extremely sick with my voice fucked up (and I work on a call help desk) so that was not fun at all. I'm only just now feeling better and it's been a month.
I'm really trying to get back in to playing music. It had actually been several months before TFF since I had actually tried picking up my guitar and started to seriously practice. That really needs to change. :x

Update
Posted 11 years agoHey guys. Just an update here, been *extremely* busy with school as of late. So much to do x__x I have been working 20 hours a week up until now and I am graduating soon, probably in August. I walk the stage in two weeks though because I only have a few b.s. core credits to finish like political science and history, etc. That's going to be my summer for the most part. Depending on how busy I get I may or may not open for song commissions if anyone is interested. I shall try to write out a price guide soon as to what I expect to charge, though it's very subjective and case-by-case. My last upload, HotRODD, took me about 100 hours to complete and I'd only charge about $200 for that level of completion. As you can tell, this breaks down to $2/hour, and I basically lose money on it. That being said I know what people will pay, and frankly it's not very much. Thoughts?

Post-TFF Rundown
Posted 11 years agoOverall, it was a blast! I really enjoyed all the new people I met.
Shoutouts to: Prannon, Lundi, Meredies, Williamca, Rent, Nuvi, Fox Amoore, Dolphinboy, Rhubarb, Cosmik, AJA (Alexander James Adams / Faerie Minstrel), Floe, Royalty, Merystic, Naedere, Rapier, Neoscottie, Nathan Rei., the sound crews who made the show run and the camera guys, all the folks I met at the pancake house, and everyone else I met but forgot the names of because there were SO MANY PEOPLE! Oh and I guess Path. Smelly bastard.
For those of you who didn't know already (shame on you) I was invited by Fox Amoore to play guitar for the rock concert he was holding which was themed after this year's "Heroes and Villains" visage. Most of us in the band had never even met in person before and we only rehearsed the songs together once before we were able to go on strage, so needless to say there were a number of issues that arose. However we put on a great show and it was really fun! We had a lot of people say they really enjoyed it, and so we accomplished what we set out to do.
I bought a whole bunch of badass prints. A few from Danji Isthmus, one I won in an auction from Nezumi, and another I bought from Vantid (who I got to hang out with after the concert when me and the band at at the steak and shake. She was a very neat person!) I got a few commissions done as well, one from FLOEBEAN WHO IS FUCKING NUTS BTW and yeah I love it, I'll have to take a picture and post it or something because she did a baller job on it.
Overall everything went well even though it started off like shit because as I was leaving Thursday, my truck started to overheat (the water pump was burning itself up). I spent 4 hours driving around in torrential rain trying to get it into the shop and get a rental car. I spent most of that time trying not to set the rental car place on fire because they wouldn't take my debit card as a form of payment, nor did they take cash. I had to get my mom to drive down and rent me the fucking car because of it. 9___6 So instead of arriving at around 5 or 6 like I hoped, I arrived at almost midnight. Luckily though the rehearsal was slated for 6 ish thursday, when I got there everyone was still diddling around and practicing, so we played until about 1 am. The next morning I woke up 'sick', SO THAT WAS REALLY FUN. I didn't know what it was at the time so I thought I was already really sick because of how sore my throat and nasal passages were. Thankfully it turned out to only be a sinus infection.
SO YEAH IT WAS AMAZING.

Posted 11 years agoThe whole escapade is pretty amusing. Someone went as far as to report my submission [ https://www.dropbox.com/s/uboighfhk7u4f2s/kemo.jpg ] <- that btw. Not against AUP to link images. ;) The guy who did it kept posting a comment to every mock submission about how it was spam and yadda yadda... while himself spamming FA with these comments. BRILLIANT.

Posted 12 years agoI'm considering having a 10k kiriban, the prize being probably art with my character, Andy, and the winner's character interacting in some way. This is if it's feasible at the time for me monetarily, I may put it on delay until I can afford it. Basically I just want an excuse to get more art. :v
