Need help!
Posted 9 months agoOkay, I'm at the crossroads and need some help. What would you say are my strong points (if there are any) and what are weak points of my art? Few examples below.

Posted 10 months agoI'm back (soon).
Posted a year agoFirst of all - Happy New Year! I hope it'll bring happiness and many good experiences for you.
I may need a few days to get back to full drawing mode, but it's way closer than before. Last few months were truly hectic, when it comes to workload and stress (and I'm afraid it won't change soon), but recently I had some good (and honestly quite needed) talks with coworkers (and other people) I like and appreciate. I've got some good advices and pep talks and I'm very grateful for that.
Why do I need a few days - first of all I need some time to get a grip on what's going on, what projects I want to pursue and go back to people I owe an artwork. Second big change is that I've got a new PC and I need to find my brushes, settings and prepare my whole workplace. It's a huge upgrade for me and I'm quite excited that finally I'm able to try and learn things I always wanted to, but was unable due to the slow working PC.
So, let's see what the year 2024 brings and make the best of it.
Is there anything specific you'd like to see from me? Any characters, animals, styles? Techniques?

Stressed, tired and sick
Posted 2 years agoFirst two words are the best I can use to describe my feelings for the past 4 months. A lot of stuff is going on - 99% of the troubles are connected with my work... I'm fine - don't worry about it. It's just that firstly we were under high pressure connected with new analysys and tasks and then, in the span of 2 weeks, the team that was dealing with all of it (because of different reasons) shortened from 5 people to 2. My colleague and I (with occasional help during especially harsh days) have been trying to keep everything in line since the second week of August. Stress of everything that has been happening, pressure, tiredness made me numb and unwilling to do anything after work. I didn't have enough patience, small mistakes were throwing me off the edge. I just wanted to curl on my bed or couch and scroll on my phone. Games and movies were not so fun anymore.
I'm slowly getting better - some days I'm able to sketch something. I was even able to make some corrections to my older leather project:
Part 1
Part 2
I guess I just needed some time to process everything that has been happening and take some break to rest.
And with the sickness - I've probably got laryngitis. I've mostly lost my voice a couple days ago. Runny nose. Had a couple long nosebleeds. And 2-3 last days - attacks of cough, mostly waking me in the middle of the night. I might need to try to get to the doctor again, if things won't change.
So yes... I am trying to do my best.
Hopefully everything will get easier soon, because I'll admit... I could use some real rest.

General Update + Main Idea for 2023
Posted 2 years agoHi guys - long time no see. A lot of things happened during the last few weeks. Just to mention the most important things:
- I've got my driver's license! For now I'm driving only with my parents (I'm still too scared to drive on my own... I just don't trust myself with my hearing and perception yet). I got my first car too - it's a little old guy, but I'm slowly getting into liking him.
- I've got a job and it's a permanent employment contract this time. With that in my hand, I can relax a bit.
- Some things in my job got fixed and finished... yet there are still a few things waiting in line to get through. On the other hand... do you know that feeling, that everything seems to be fine and yet, your stomach still gives you this nauseating feeling of stress, breath fastens, and you get a train of thoughts ramming through your brain? I don't know why, but it still happens randomly, and it's been occurring more and more for the past 2 weeks. It's just exhausting, as it's coming back a couple times of day, even at night.
When it goes to the creative stuff - I'm slowly coming back to creating. First things I will be finishing are promised artworks, and a few exercises.
My main goal for 2023 is to learn and improve as much as possible. I might take in a few commissions, but probably it'll happen later in the year. I want to learn, experiment and find the right and comfortable style. An artwork style and generally speaking work culture that will fit with me and who I'm slowly becoming... or want to become.
You can expect different art mediums, themes, styles... and maybe some gifts or art trades from me.
This is my plan for 2023.
Find myself again in a new reality, learn, experiment, fix my time and sleep schedule and... give myself some time to procrastinate and cherish the world and people around me.

General update
Posted 3 years agoHello! I just wanted to give you a short update about what's going on in my life and explain why I've slowed down with drawing.
Work
Since the beginning of August, I've been on a trial period in the laboratory I had internship in. I still like working here... but it's been rather stressful for the last 3-4 weeks due to the firm's expansion. I think it'll be this way (or even higher tension) for the next couple of weeks.
Driver License
I've finally started working on it! For now I just had theory lectures, but I think I should start practice soon. We will see how it goes. It takes most of my free time after work. I get up at 5 AM and get back home around 7 PM.
Health
Well, it's not bad overall. I'm mostly just stressed and tired... so far I was able to avoid any serious issues.
Drawing
For now, I'm still working on artworks for Siegmar and Leo1219 and one piece from GW2. After that, I might need to take a break to catch up on my own projects and ideas. I want to get through some lessons and more regular and intense practice too.

Posted 3 years agoFirst and the most important thing - thank you for your support and your time! Each favourite, + watch and comment means a lot to me. If you'd like to ask me about something - don't be scared, ask away! I don't bite. :)
Hi guys! It's already been a few months since I've updated you on what's going up in my life, work... Well, those were busy months.
Internship:
So far, it's okay. Area of expertise here is far from what I've been studying and wanted to work in, but I feel I've grasped the way of working and thinking in this lab. There's still a lot of things left to learn and get used to. July is my last full month of the internship there. After that, I'm supposed to be accepted on a trial period for 1 - 3 months... and after that, they will decide if I will stay, or should I look for a job somewhere else. I'll admit... it's stressing me out a lot. I'm scared. But... there's nothing more I can do besides trying to do my best.
Health:
So far things seem to have calmed down, however, the summer time and high temperatures are the real test of my skin and scars' condition. After having scars opening two summers in a row, I really hope the third time's the charm and everything will be okay.
Creative field:
Well, I have much less time than last year and still somewhat I'm able to do just as much (or even more) as last year. As you can probably see, I'm allowing myself to try different techniques and materials (I really enjoy leathercrafting). This year I also hope to work more with traditional techniques and dioramas (I have one already finished and one somewhere in the middle of the way). Even though I have fun with dioramas and creating environments, making figurines is rather... frustrating, because of the modelling paste. Well, I think I just need to find the "right" one. I hope to show you the finished one soon. :)
Plans:
There's a couple things I want to do in upcoming months. The main point is getting a driver's license - after getting a hearing implant I can finally do it!As for the creative zone: there's few of my personal projects I really want to do, and if time allows, I'll get them done by the end of the year. Also, you can slowly expect some quilling designs, as I'll be getting them ready as Christmas presents. xD (yes, I want to avoid the situation when I'll be forced to rush the job).
Thank you very much for reading all that rambling (I really hope it's understandable). I wish you a great, easy day!
Best wishes,
Ki-Re / Korrida-dA / hawkclash

Commissions Details - Date change
Posted 3 years agoSummarized info:
Updated price list will show up around beginning / mid of April. I won't be opening more than one slot at the time (will open another one after finishing the previous one) and only when I'll have time.
Details:
The delayed date is a result of me finding (finally) a job - an internship, to be precise. And as far as I'm absolutely happy about it, it took away quite a chunk of my time dedicated to drawing. For now, I need (and want) to focus on finishing already started commissions, then have some time to relax, practise and re-work a few things.
Internship:
For now, everything is good. I'm learning a lot (to be fair, at the beginning I was afraid that I'm not able to handle it), practising a lot and having fun.
It feels good to have a strong, regular schedule again.

I'm starting tomorrow.
I feel rather stressed, but I also feel happy and excited.

Price list change - heads up
Posted 3 years agoI was thinking about this for the past two weeks... and I've decided that I need to raise the price on my artworks.
The main reason behind it is that the electricity price since the beginning of 2022 went up by 24%.
Second thing... The price list I use now is 1,5 year old. I believe I got better at drawing since then. I was planning to update the price list in 2023, however, the electricity price change happened. I've decided to connect both aspects in one update, instead of doing two separate updates within a short range of time.
Details:
- commissions base price will rise by 20% (won't affect contacts I've made before 1st of February 2022)
- commissions will go on hold on 1st of February and will be frozen until 1st of March 2022.
- commissions will be open again on 1st of March 2022 with updated price list.

Monday Madness - General Update
Posted 4 years agoHealth Update
I was able to calm down and relax a bit since I've got home, which is a nice change. However, when it goes to the stitches and the wound - oh boy, things are happening. In short, I still get tired very easily, can't bend myself / lower my head / lift anything heavier than cup of tea without feeling hot and having sweat drops showing up on my forhead - I guess that effect will stay for few more days with me. Beside that - constant feeling of itching, pinching and pulling of the stitches drives me nuts. I really, really hope that everything will go well and everything heals up properly and fast.
If nothing will change, on the 14th I'm heading back to the hospital for cotrolled stitches removal and will stay there for 3-4 days.
I'd like to thank you all, for your wishes, your support and good thoughts. It means a lot to me and helps me keep thinking on more positive side.
Commissions Update
Tomorrow I'll be slowly getting back to work. Hopefuly, I'll message you by the end of a week with an update. So far I don't plan opening any new slots.
General Art
For next few weeks I have planned something conected with Guild Wars 2, some my personal projects and new adoptable set. This time, feline cubs with possibility of getting additional adult version of the character or full reference of the character.

Back home
Posted 4 years agoHey guys. I just (literally) got back home from the hospital.
I'm rather okay-ish. I just feel extremely exhausted and stressed.

Bad news
Posted 4 years agoSo, the thing I was afraid of happened today. The scar/wound opened again. I'm after consultation with my Doctor - I'm heading back to hospital on this Thursday. I'm not sure for how long though - it can be just "wound mobilising" (please let me know if you know the right term; in polish it's "mobilizacja rany"), or "something more" (aka operation).
With high probability (if I'll have to stay) I won't be able to contact with you as there's basically no internet connection there (even cellphones have weak signal. The Clinic is on the outskirts). So... yeah. If I won't write to you the same day, it means something bigger happened and I had to stay. I'll try to update you as fast as I can.
For commissioners: I wholeheartedly apologize for the delays. I'll try to progress with your commission, but I'm not sure how much I'll be able to do before I leave.
On a more presonal note... I feel weird mix or emotions right now - mostly frustration, resignation and slight... numbness? I don't feel like crying, panicking or something in this range.
Probably for the past three weeks I subconciously knew, how it'll end. If your wound doesn't heal for so long, something IS wrong.
So now... I'm just waititng.
There are few possible outcomes of this situation.
The worst option is that I may wake up without the implant and without a chance of hearing better ever again.

Hiatus more details + health update
Posted 4 years agoOkay, so let's start with more important aspect - hiatus. Short message from my status:
"From the 5th of July I'm going into commission hiatus. I'm not sure for how long - I'm planning some changes... maybe even some radical ones, when it goes to style.
There might be a few YCH auctions or adoptables sets in the meantime.
I feel slightly scared, unsure and at the same time excited and ready to work.
That's weird mixture of feelings."
I've thought about it for past few months and came to few conclusions.
- I don't fully enjoy my semi realistic style and comic style. With the first one, I'd like to push even more for more realistic look, especially when it goes to fur and longer hair texture. Drawing single hairs might have interesting result, but it pushes back realism. Same goes with strong lineart-y outline, when it goes for rim lightening. With the comic style - I feel I'm too TLK-ish with my anatomy. I'd like to make it more... mine, more charactestic for specific *artist (* - I don't consider myself an artist, just a hobbyist, which has a long way ahead of herself).
- I'd like to do more traditional paintings. I had a lot of fun working with gouaches, watercolour, acrylic, alcohol and waterbased markers, coloured pencils and more. To be fair, I LOVE experimenting with different medium and have a blast working with them.
However.
Each of them requires time, patience and practise. And a lot of messing up artworks. So far, my mindset pushes me strongly to finish nearly each artwork, and each artwork needs to be perfect. I want to change this mindset - let myself be creative and have fun, not feeling stressend and angry, if something doesn't turn out good.
- Theory. So far, I've read and watched a lot of tutorials, books and videos. However, even when I know what I should do, sometimes I just... loose it along the way while working with the piece. I need to change that.
- General themes of my artworks. So far, I've been focused on feline or charr charracters. Occasionaly, canine or other fantasy creatures. I feel it's high time to get out of comfortable zone.
So, here are my reasons why I think I need to put commissions on stop and get my focus into controlled and regular practicing.
The other aspect is that I'm looking for a regular job. Getting it means a lot of less time to share between practising and work with commissions.
Health update
1. Got first dose of the vaccine on Thursday. Two days of slightly sore arm, nothing more. I'm glad I have it off my head.
2. My scar (yes, the very same thing is my nightmare for over a year already) is acting up again and I feel very anxious about it. Physical side is one thing, but mental side of it costs me a lot too. The nightmares came back, sleepless nights too. I'm just tired of it.
Tomorrow I'll be contacting my Doctor about the scar trouble... I'm not sure what he'll decide to do about it and the hearing implant. Perspective of potentially loosing something I've been waiting for 25 years... it's heart wrenching.

Planned hiatus + health check
Posted 4 years agoFrom the 5th of July I'm going into commission hiatus. I'm not sure for how long - I'm planning some changes... maybe even some radical ones, when it goes to style.
There might be a few YCH auctions or adoptables sets in the meantime.
I feel slightly scared, unsure and at the same time excited and ready to work.
That's weird mixture of feelings.
And about health check:
1.Got my first dose of vaccine - I'm glad to have it off my head.
