Well, looks like I will be making MFM after all. The plans have been set and ready to roll for awhile now really, but I didn't to post for it till I was sure there would be no last shenanigans.

My big question is whether or not I need to put together my party chest or not. Each con I go to I drag a giant tupperware chest packed with various gear like glow sticks, bubble guns, snack foods, card games, and other tools of furry futzings.

This year though I kinda want to go a little easier since the location is supposed to rock hard enough that I shouldn't have to keep myself entertained. Still, any suggestions?

Anywho, just got back to Hattiesburg from a trip out to Arizona. The road trip was more fun than it had any right to be considering there were three people and two tiny bunnies in a cab with only two seats.

Just about another week and the final bits of my move will be complete, just waiting on the ceiling fans to be installed at this point.

Those two thoughts being said and each of them sorta floating up there with out any sense of coherent narrative going on I figure I might as well just ramble out a few more points here. I've been selfishly using the internet to entertain myself and catch up on a few personal projects so I haven't really been on FA all that much in more than half a year from the look of my journal. The bright side to that though is that now I get to link hop all over the place as if I've never been here before. I really consider it art fuel for my competitive streak, and at least I know where all my art gear is packed after all.

A guy gets around to updating and ten minutes in he has to hop away, I'm not even part rabbit! Anywho, I'll not be a stranger so much if all goes as planned, now I have to see if I can still art without a training montage.

My life of piracy seems to have finally caught up with me. Not from the stacks of books, the recent movies, the awesome television series.

I was brought low by Tinkerbell.

Yes, laugh if you will, but that little blonde is dangerous! Sey and I had watched the first CG movie and had a good time of it so it seemed only natural to pirate the second.

I took the usual steps, found a site I had used time and again and no sooner had my download completed than did my computer join the celestial chorus.

I'm going to try a full wipe of my C drive one of these days when I get my hands on the right software, till then though it's going to be next to no sound from my end of things.

Well, I made it back in one piece from Oklacon. Yet another successful fur-ification has been imposed on my friend Sey since we both had a damn good time. I really need to take a hint from Trikkeh and start taking more pictures of the random hi-jinx.

We spent so much time running around the camp grounds that I have just about ever snack and entertaining distraction still packed in my con box. I’m practically packed to go out right now and cause trouble!

Admittedly I spent a lot of this con running with the usual suspects, but it was nice to combine two different sets of friends into an unstoppable force of awesome.

A real drumming, dancing, hiding, spying, sleeping, eating, badge losing, creep dodging, friend hunting, smore making, nature walking, stream hopping, ankle twisting good time.

Turns out my phone is dead today. Weird thing is, it still had the service icon and I sent several texts without getting a fail to send msg so I thought things were still kosher. Damn. Anyway, if I fail to respond for a few days that's what's up till I get this thing fixed.

I have this weird feeling I forgot something. Craig's B-day is tomorrow, didn't forget that.

Good lord what a con.

I do not regret a single dime that went into that con even if I feared I had over prepared at first. If nothing else, my newest claim to fame is that Bubble guns have been hence forth banned from that convention =3

Swimming, drinking, jumping hurdles, singing, dancing, sneaking, strutting, snacking, cussing, string fighting, and a little bit of spanking. All in all I would say we did what we went for, and I made some awesome new friends on top of hanging with some classics.

Mostly just cross posting this here to share the fact I had a blast more than anything. On the one hand I do want to do an in-depth con report, but on the other anything I say can and will be used against me in a court of law.

I will be going. Not under the conditions I had planned on since last MFM, but I will be there nonetheless. Massively looking forward to this.

Maybe it's contagious? Maybe it's because the last two days of work have actually sucked and I'm not used to that? Maybe it's because every now and I then I still ask myself "what the hell are you still thinking about that for?!?"

Regardless of the cause I am strangely depressed at the moment. They are my feelings, and as such they sure as hell aren't someone else's "fault" or problem. It's just sort of annoying that it's about to be 4am and I'm in this mood. Generally I'd force some sort of activity to get me out of this funk, but at the moment I feel a bit more like bitching. Somewhat uncharacteristic of me, but them's the breaks sometime, kids.

I wish I had a day, a full twenty-four hours, where everyone I spoke to could only respond with the truth. The downside to that wish is two fold; the first would be that removing the choice to lie from people is massively wrong, and two everyone would likely be emotionally butt hurt at the end of the day as every petty annoyance in the world is aired honestly. Alas, those are also the breaks, me.

Hell, I would love it if I had to tell the absolute truth to myself, but then I would have to have an absolute truth in a world of emotions, dynamic situations, and uncertainties.

In summation: I am unhappy at the moment and I'm not entirely sure why, but I wish it would stop already.

But at least it isn't pneumonia, x-rays came back clean. Time to lay around for a day then back into the saddle.

Turns out they really are venomous. Rather than having a long chain toxin though, these bullet proof baby eaters are packing an anticoagulant that doubles as a blood pressure reducer.

You get a free bleeding hole in your side and then you get dizzy from the low blood pressure so you pass out BEFORE you pass out from blood loss. Saves them the trouble of hunting you down so they have more energy to devote to beating each other up.

...and that is not the lead in for a mom joke.

Going to see Star Trek tonight after work. Apparently I'm just about the last of my friends to go see it, but from everything I've heard there's basically no chance of me being disappointed.

Really, the only thing I am afraid of is the G.I.Joe preview. My friend Dent wasn't impressed at all, and he knows his 80's and 90's cartoons. Apparently G.I.Joe will not be an elite fighting force that exsists outside of the armed forces so much as a bunch of ex-soldiers and ninja's in the armor from the game Crackdown.

Cynisim aside though, I really hope for the best there and even my fear of what might happen to Shipwreak is insuffecient to slow down my excitement over this movie tonight =3

Today is my friday as far as the work week goes. The only downside of it though is that we have a store meeting on Friday, so my plans will have to wiggle around that stolen hour 9-10. This friday is Trinity with Craig and Co., a white wolf produced future setting that is very much the fun.

Considering that my friend Hobby is running it, and used to work for the company it's been very exciting so far. It's weird for me to feel in the dark about what's happening in a game, all the other players have rolled in this world before whereas I'm the Johnny-come-lately. I'm playing an Isran detective, a better way of describing that would be to say I am playing something akin to Nicholas Cage in the movie Next except I am looking for answers instead of trying to keep my head down. Also, I'm a LOT more limited. For now.

Anyway, I'm trying not to get too excited about other possibilites this weekend. I'm just telling myself that my game and meeting are the only things that are going to happen. Either way, there is going to be a get together it's only the context and purpose that will change. I'm trying to avoid the antici...

The next book. Tuesday. It had better be at Books A Million or else everyone is going to hear about it when the SWAT team finally manages to take me down.

AT&T is a good company service wise, that might explain why they have the WORST customer service short of sending a guy to my house with a lead pipe and breath bad enough to reach me through the door.

From what we can tell, the help line could not access our account on the weekend, they seem to have flagged our account for lack of payment but only for internet. Considering that the land line and two cell phones are also part of the same bill and they are all working fine I call shenanigans on this claim. That and the transaction records Josh keeps like a pack rat that show the money going through a week before the bill was due.

tl;dr => AT&T customer service is an impotent heroine addict that says no net for me till Monday at home. I update from work when I can.

Ok. I didn't give a lot of thought to the whole end of the world talk for 2012. If anything I thought the Mayans would just treat it as the start of a new age of man when the calendar ran out, but now...

Dear god. It's the end of the world as I know it. The only thing stopping me from exploiting this new function till site traffic inevitably crashes the thing is the fact I am at work, and for to long people have been able to post whatever they want without fear that it might be searched out and I don't want that displayed in full color right here at work.

While preforming ferret and cat litter maintenance I left the door leading outside from the ferret room open and Max made a break for it. My best guess is that he thought the outside world is full of food because whenever I come back through one of the magical doors to the Outside I come back with something he wants to eat.

I haven't really talked about it because there really wasn't anything anyone could do about it, and if I started talking about it all I would have been able to say is that I miss him and he's a little jerk of a fur monster for sowing his wild oats like this.

It's happened before and he's much bigger and more confident than the last time he made a break for it, but I was getting worried since he's been gone for four days. Two is his usual rebellious time limit. More than once I had been sure I could hear his sad meow, but I could never find him outside. I even checked the attic. The annoying bit of it is that I always seemed to be the only one that heard him until tonight.

There is a door outside that leads to a crawl space under the house, but that door was shut and I didn't want to open it on the off chance that he would get under there and get stuck. The irony is that apparently he found a way under there anyway, and then couldn't get out again. I had gotten desperate enough to check the roof, so I thought I might as well look under the house.

He's happy to be back, he wouldn't even keep eating if I stopped petting him or walked away, but he certainly needs a bath. I'm just so happy to see him I can't really put him through that tonight. He's just gone to sleep next to me on the bed on some of my laundry, just the way he likes it.

So very relieved.

Made it home from work and found my w2's have come in, WOOT! Con money in the bank there.

I already have rooms and time off requests for FWA, Frolicon, and the next MFM. If I put as much effort into prereg as I did into con planning I would be neck deep in badges right about now.

I kinda want to recap all the adventures of the past few weeks, but I'm hungry and it makes me die inside to be this hungry. Instead I'm going to hit waffle house and eat stuff pretending to be food while I wait on the rest of the series Leverage to download.

Addictive, massively intelligent, and very enjoyable. Hopefully I'll also finish that scale meme we kicked up at Shadowcon one of these nights, but again food comes first.

So far it's been Christmas with Kivva; Puppy Con, Shadowrun ran right by a guy that was in charge of Dragon Con's Shadowrun experiance; New Years with about 20 people; and now we have Ark and Sage for a few days before Alan and Mandy show up.

We're going to ShadowCon next weekend with a stop in Oxford on my part to pick up Anjel and Puppy. Alan and Mandy have a relative in the area, so though they will be sleeping off the con site I still expect to have a hell of a time.

Really it's sort of a good thing I work today, because everytime I think I will have time to sit down to some good old fashion web use something new comes up.

In other news, I think I am a bit of a Left 4 Dead addict, which is impressive as I don't have an xbox 360 at my place yet.

Anyway, I need to get back on my art practice. Later.

My grandmother has been moved to a standard room for observation before release. Without going into details it looks like she's in as good of condition as we could hope for.

Hopefully I will get back to pretending to be an artist while I'm at it. Anyway, I am quite purposefully taking this break at work to update and chill before funding a coffee run. Green Archer needs cocoa badly.

The first all furry flea bath has been completed. I couldn't help but notice the ferrets had started to itch every now and again so I flea bathed everything with fur.

Max has really grown in the past year! Using flea drops I hadn't really noticed how well he had fleshed out under his coat. Right now the kitty is sitting in the middle of the bed "cleaning" himself, so he's not angry or anything.

Definitely feel like I accomplished something today. Now if only I would finish up the sketch practice I was putting off.

Obviously the net has been returned to me for days now, I just never bothered to update the journal part here. Right now I am on my way out the door, but I was wondering what I should work on when I get back.

Any suggestions from the myriad experienced artists I have for friends would be awesome.

We are switching over to DSL from comcast cable at the ol' furry flop house. Downside is that I am posting this from work as the DSL modem hasn't come in yet. Should arrive tomorrow, priority shipment. From there it's just a matter of installing the thing and I should be back in the saddle minus the pain of comcast slow downs.
