Interbay Minigolf Meet (and local FurAffinity pages)
Posted 2 years agoWhen:
2023-03-18 Saturday, 14:00 (2 PM)
We'll probably stay there until sometime between 15:00 and 18:00 (between 3 PM and 6 PM)
Where:
Interbay Golf Center
http://www.premiergc.com/-mini-golf
2501 15TH AVE W
SEATTLE WA 98119
West of 15th Ave W. The north entrance from the street, at W Armour St, has a sidewalk, and is the better entrance for pedestrians.
The minigolf course is closest to bus stops for route 32 and RapidRide D. It is also somewhat close to bus stops for routes 1, 31, and 33.
We'll meet up outside the entrance near the tables and flag pole.
What:
I think miniature golf is fun, and many furries have told me they agree! Interbay Golf Center, in Interbay, Seattle, has a minigolf course with 18 holes and a total par of 40.
The cost is $12 per person.
There is a chance of rain, so be prepared for any weather. There is also a cafe at the golf center.
We'll wait for stragglers no later than 14:10! But we'll probably be playing at a relaxed pace, so if you're late, you'll most likely be able to catch up to us.
I'll be wearing a green jacket (or white T-shirt with a wolf on it) and a N95 respirator.
Also, here's a list of the local FurAffinity pages I know of:
seattlefurs
pugetsoundfurs
furlife
NorthwestFurs
WashingtonStateFurs
WashingtonFurs
PNWFurs
Let me know if you know of any others.

Seattle Jitsi Meet videochat furmeet
Posted 3 years agoWhen:
2023-01-21 Saturday, 19:00 (7 PM) to 20:00 (8 PM)
Where:
Jitsi Meet (online event)
What:
Hi! I decided that a videochat might be a good furmeet. No travel time, no chance of bad weather, and most importantly no COVID risk: just a good chance to just talk with other furries. (For furries who'd rather do voice only, that's cool too! You don't need to use video)
Jitsi Meet is a good videochat site that works in your browser. It's free, and no account is required.
I'll post the call link in the comments about ten minutes before the event starts, and we can stay as long as we'd like.
If you'd like to test out Jitsi Meet on your own before then, here's the link to it:
https://meet.jit.si/
We can talk about anything. Some things I'd like to talk about at some point are what physical meets we'd all like, and how we'd like to proceed with Jitsi Meet videochats or Mumble voicechats in the future. (Mumble is even better than Jitsi Meet, for just voicechats without video)
This event is meant for furries who live in Seattle or attend meets in Seattle.
If you neither live in Seattle nor attend meets in Seattle, please be polite by not joining: you can always make your own local physical or online meets. If you want advice on running meets, I'm always happy to help.

Phoenix Comics and Games meet in Capitol Hill, Seattle
Posted 3 years agoWhen:
2023-01-08 Sunday, 10:00 (when the store opens) to 12:00 (but we can stay later)
Where:
Phoenix Comics and Games
https://shop.phoenixseattle.com/
113 BROADWAY E
SEATTLE WA 98102-5711
North of the intersection of E Denny Way and Broadway, on the west side of the street.
It's close to the Capitol Hill Link light rail station and the Seattle streetcar Broadway & Denny stop. It's also close to stops for bus routes 8, 9, 10, 43, 49, and 60.
What:
Last time, at Cal Anderson park, people suggested we have an indoor venue for the next meet. So this time, we can play board games and card games together at Phoenix Comics and Games! It's conveniently located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in Seattle. They have many games you can play, and you can also bring your own. I'll bring the cards and coins for poker and other games, again. I can bring Scrabble too, if you'd like.
Phoenix Comics and Games has a sign saying masks are required, but I didn't see them enforcing it last time I was there. Of course, I recommend using a real N95 respirator at indoor meets.
I'll be wearing a white T-shirt with cats on the front, and a white N95 respirator.

Cal Anderson park meet, in Seattle
Posted 3 years agoDate and time:
Sunday 2022-12-11, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Location:
Cal Anderson park. Specifically, the benches east of the reflecting pool, just south of the bridge across it.
Hi! Here's a meet in Seattle itself, at Cal Anderson park. It's a nice park with lots of open space, benches, attractive furry stickers and graffiti, and often people walking their dogs.
We can talk, walk around, and dogwatch. I'll also bring some cards and coins, so we can play poker or other card games.
Even if it's raining or snowing, I'll be there the whole hour, with an umbrella. I'll be wearing a green sweater, and occasionally checking here for messages. If the weather is truly terrible, we can hang out on the east side of the AMP plaza instead. I'm also willing to hang out earlier and later.
Hope to see you there! :3
Cal Anderson park information:
https://www.seattle.gov/parks/find/.....-anderson-park
Cal Anderson park is extremely close to the Capitol Hill Link light rail station and to the Seattle streetcar First Hill line Broadway and Denny station.

Big life update
Posted 3 years agoI have moved to Seattle, Washington, and I am no longer a NEET.
I now have a job (and I've held it over a month now!)
I work night shift, which is nice. I work 8.5 hours a day, which is brutal and not nice at all.
I live alone and on my own, so when I do have free time (rare) I now have total freedom. :D
