Hey guys, long-ish time no talk so here, have an update

HEALTH:
I wanted to let you all know that as I am typing this my beloved wife  Dayay is in surgery for her broken leg TwT Long story short she had a work accident and now has a long time of recovery ahead of her.. I'm pretty optimistic about it cause I know she'll stay safe, we have insurance and she'll be back to work as soon as she can.
The most frustrating part about this whole thing is that I'm currently still stuck in germany and I cant really do anything for her other than be in call with her which in turn is absolute ass for my own mental health..
She is in a lot of pain and I'm just looking forward to her getting out of the hospital.. which will hopefully happen soon.

I have regretted my username on here since the literal day I started uploading art and my GOD it feels so good to finally be able to use my proper username that I use everywhere!!
I didn't identify with my username from the get-go, mainly because I don't really consider myself a furry. I mean don't get me wrong, I definitely love anthro and feral creatures, but I identify as a mech more than anything!

This changes absolutely nothing about the account btw, I am still Kowu, I'm still he/him and I still draw the same ole stuff that I've drawn before (with exception of gas stuff. I'm not into that stuff and I have trauma associated with it so I'm taking a far, FAR step away from that kinda stuff. Yes, I LIVE! Can you believe it, after months of radio silence I actually still exist.
Live's been a little bit of a clusterfuck, a rollercoaster if you will, you know how it be. I've been through some good shit, some bad shit and everything in between really.
A breakup, a marriage (yep, I'm actually married to a lovely wife now, woo!) a new car, a new cat, a hospital stay.. I dont even know where to begin!
Alright that's a lie, let's begin at the start:
- I had a breakup that I dont really wanna get into for personal reasons, and because it's still fresh. It was messy and unpleasant and it's still very much on my mind a lot, that's about all that I gotta say on that.

- A few days after the breakup I travelled back to america for my second trip this year, the flight was horrid but I arrived alive and relatively well in the arms of my loving wife! Got settled, got WAY too high one night which put me out of commotion for like two days straight, got sick, yadda yadda, unimportant

- I had been looking for a new car for years, in fact I had my eyes on one right before the flight. He was an old Buick Skylark, gorgeous metallic green, his name was gonna be Butch.. sadly the asshole that wanted to sell him to me sold him out from under me while I was on the plane even though we had agreed on getting him later that week.. what can ya do. I'm not mad about it anymore since I found a way better car. I will introduce him to you guys as soon as I finish his reference sheet, I'm super in love with him and I've already experienced SO much with my big boy (no, he will NOT replace Mitch of course, I'm still getting my soulmate it will just take long considering he's so fucking rare and illusive oh and.. expensive.)

- Next thing on the list, the cat distribution system struck while I was cleaning my new car, a little tux boy showed up and harassed first me and then the car for HOURS. Dubbed him V8 and before I knew what was going on, we took him in! He's the cutest little devil and I adore him very much, sadly he was riddled with worms and he had FAT ASS BALLS that we had to take care of so he lowkey kinda drained our bank account.. multiple times.

- Then I married my lovely  Dayay on the 1st of September.. <3 I love her very much and I cant wait to harass her til the end of my life huehuehue >:3 Sadly we couldnt use my new car for our wedding ride because we may have slacked on getting him insured before (oops) but is oke, it was still a beautiful day and we did a ton of nice things with him after <3

Aaand this all brings me to now, hi.
I am currently back in germany, have been for about three weeks. I aint doing too hot because my dad's a drug addict screw-up and he's making my life absolute hell, my grandma has been in the hospital since before I came back and I was in the hospital about a week ago for kidney stones (which by the way, is the WORST pain I ever felt, thought I was fucking dying, stay hydrated guys!!!)
So yeah, there you have it. I havent drawn in forever to be honest and I have to apologize for that, it's just that my mental state is absolutely in the gutter right now and I'm trying to just get through the day by forcing myself to eat and drink regularly and watching dexter (my new addiction eee)

I'll try to upload stuff again soon, I have a lot of finished and unpublished works that I just need to post, I've just been so overwhelmed with constant shit that I havent gotten around to it, very sorry for that guys!

I wanned to take some time to explain where the fuck I have been and how the fuck I plan on continuing in this brand new year.. 2024, can you fuckin believe it..

Where have you been??
Short and simple answer, America and Canada!
Longer answer, I've been staying at and for close to three months now, same time and length as last year! Now, my time up here in Canada is sadly coming to an end. I'll stay until the 7th, then I'll head back down to Oregon until the 18th and then I'm heading back to my abusive household in Germany.
Shit sucks but what can you do, it won't be forever. Good thing about going back is I will be able to focus on my commissions again because it's low key impossible to work on art when I'm out of the country... there's just too much to do and see and shit!
The reason I'm saying it isn't forever is because some of you may know I plan on moving to North America, out of my little shithole in germany, and this year we FINALLY figured out a proper plan which is already being executed as we speak.

I'm officially gonna be moving to Oregon in the foreseeable future to study automotive mechanics!!


So what exactly are your plans going forward??
In theory, plan's simple. I go back to Germany, finish my driver's license, make some money/work on commissions until I'm able to apply and join Chemeketa, a College in Oregon, I'm gonna move in with and we're gonna live together until I finish studying! Sounds easy, right? Well, it ain't as easy when you have both mental and physical health issues, but I swear to Mitchell I am trying my damn best.

When will you be able to work on commissions and when will you be able to take on more??
I'm gonna be honest, as much as I loved spending time with my beautiful boyfriend and my beloved companion again, this has been one of the most chaoticic and stressful trips I've ever taken in my life and it hasn't been easy for my mental state or my body lmfao
I'm gonna need to recover for at least a few days after I arrive back in Germany, so I'm gonna loosely say that I can work properly again on the 25th of January!!
Please be patient with me, I've been through a lot of shit lately and I can't even keep up with my discord notifications so if I "ignore" you I'm sorry in advance, I swear I don't have a vendetta against you lmao

As to when I'll take on more commissions.. to be honest, I'm not sure. It really depends on the type of commission and my mental state, I won't be able to work on shit if my mind's in the gutter, because I'll usually draw Mitchell when I don't feel well.
I'm mainly trying to focus on smaller, less time consuming commissions like headshots, halfbodies and sketches, most often than not without shading.
