A very big relief, Thank you all! Small commission report
Posted 5 years agoI have been a bit busy taking my mother to do the medical check-ups, she has had a serious heartburn problem, which has caused a lot of stomach gas and belching, this in turn caused the entire esophagus to be burned and very irritated, to the point that it began to affect his cardiovascular system, give him problems with blood pressure, loss of appetite and weight.
After 2 weeks of treatments she has been doing, she feels much much better, she is eating much better, healthier, and for the first time in months I see her much better, and that for me is a very big big relief.
I would not have been able to take her to the clinic and pay for the treatments and medicines that she has been using if it weren't for the donations I received in these last 2 weeks via Ko-fi and paypal.
So again... Thank you so much for the support, really, I have no words.
So, commissions, I have been quite slow with the pending commissions, I hope to improve my work rate in the next few days, 2 days ago I started sketching commission nº 23 (slot 4) and tomorrow I will finish sketching it, I hope this week to finish that commission and start with commission nº 24 (slot 5).
As I advised on a previous occasion, when I finish with slots 4 and 5 I will take a couple of days off to rest a bit and continue with slots 6 and 7 which are the last in my current list of pending commissions (more info here: https://trello.com/b/HfmtqES8/kral92-commissions).
This is going to do the last time I open commissions of more than 5 slots, at least until I can develop more skill and draw faster, even though there is no financial commitment since I charge the commissions when I'm about to start the drawing or when I'm finishing with a previous commission, I don't feel well when the last people on the list of my commissions have been waiting months for me (I opened these commissions 3 months ago...).
I know that I'm slow, I know that traditional art takes more time but I don't want to bother the people who wait for me, so I think it's better to work with fewer slots, when I opened these commissions, I felt able to attend 7 slots, but I have taken too long, and that is why I plan to work with fewer slots next time.
Not much more to say, this little report ends here, again thank you very much for your support and have a beautiful night, a big hug and take care! ^^

Hi guys, I want with all my heart to thank you for the Ko-fi donations, I have no words, today I will be able to pay for new consultations and medical exams for my mother, It has been a great relief since I can get the money with my commissions, but I'm not very fast at it ...
This has allowed me to buy some time while I complete other commissions to be able to pay other additional medical exams for her, really thank you very much, especially to
herrmiezekatze, a private supporter and

herrmiezekatze, a private supporter and
seraphin04.This is why I've been stressed...
Posted 5 years agoMany have told me not to worry about how long it takes me to draw, to calm down and relax, art takes time, traditional art takes even more time, even many of my commissioners constantly ask me to take my time, and I appreciate it very much, I know that I have worried many, and I'm very sorry to worry you guys, it is not my intention.
I really appreciate all the words of support and encouragement that I have received from you guys, I have no words.
The reason I have been stressed all these last few months is because of my mother, she is very sick, I have spent a lot of money on medical checkups, medications and treatments and she is still ill, she has heart pressure problems, and sleeping problems, she has also been very stressed because she has not been able to work (covid), and that makes her very depressed, she is losing weight and she feels weak even when she eats a lot of healthy food, and that is what is worrying me all these last months because I no longer know what she has.
The doctor has sent her to do several medical tests and they find her heart fine, and they send her treatments, but those treatments do not relieve her, and she has been in these conditions for almost half a year, now I'm looking for new doctors to see it, but that requires more money.
Thanks to the commissions I have gotten enough money, and I have been able to pay for all medical expenses, but it is not enough, and even worse I have been unemployed for a couple of weeks, my drawings are now my only source of income, and that is why I have tried to demand more and more of myself to be able to draw faster, do more commissions and be able to pay for medical expenses so that she is better.
Many have asked me to take things easy, but this is why I can't do it ...
I will continue giving the best that I have, trying to improve my times and resting only what is necessary to avoid pain in my hand and wrist, I have to avoid injuring myself or I will not be able to draw and I will be in a worse situation.
I hate doing this, but here you can find my Ko-fi page, any donation can help me a lot:
https://ko-fi.com/kral92
Without further ado, thanks for your attention and have a nice day.

Small report on commissions
Posted 5 years agoRight now I'm finishing coloring slot nº3, I plan to work the next nº4 and nº5 slots and take a short break for a couple of days when I complete slot nº5.
Here you can see the progress and order of pending commissions:
https://trello.com/b/HfmtqES8/kral92-commissions
Then I will finish working with slots nº6 and nº7.
When I finish with this round of commissions, I will open a new round but this time it will be smaller, drawing in traditional takes me some time and opening more than 4 slots in traditional commissions is not positive.
Also from now on I want to start practicing digital drawing and I plan to offer both traditional and digital commissions in the near future.
That is why in the next commissions there will be fewer slots, and perhaps the rhythm of my commissions in traditional will reduce a little since I will be working in traditional drawing and studying and practicing digital drawing.
Without further ado, thanks for your attention and have a nice day! ^^

No Inktober this year... sorry :'(
Posted 5 years agoI don't think I can do an inktober this year, I have a lot of pending commissions and I need to prioritize commissions for the rest of the year.
However, I don't want the year to end without being able to do a drawing challenge like the inktober stuff, so I've been thinking that for November or December I'm going to try a prompt list (a different prompt list from the official inktober) but for digital art only, I want to start practicing digital art doing simple sketches with simple styles with the tablet that I bought, and because they are short daily practices I will try to do that challenge with a duration of 1 to 3 hours at most, so that I can continue working with commissions in a normal way.

Commission brief summary
Posted 5 years agoGreetings to all, this is a brief summary of the next activities and commissions in which I'm working:
In the next few days I will be finishing coloring the commission nº21 which is the nº 2 in my current commission list, the coloring is at 45~50% of progress.
I've been a bit busy doing a couple of things and the progress of the coloring has slowed down a bit, however I'm now free of other tasks that had me busy, so now I can concentrate on finishing the coloring.
Once I finish with this commission, the next one will be slot nº 3 in my commission list that belongs to _raptor (twitter user)
For more information, on my trello page, you will find all the details of the commissions in which I'm working:
NOTE: I have updated the status of the drawing progress so that it's easier to understand.

FAQ (Commissions)
Posted 5 years agoFAQ:
Extra information about the commissions since it can be useful, I will update it.
-Do you draw comic or manga commissions?
I have a little experience drawing comics and panels, but I don't plan to offer comics or manga for now, maybe in the future and only in digital drawing.
-What's the difference between "Flat Color" and "Color+Shades"?
Flat colors are drawings with little or no shadow, only base color, and the other one is properly shaded/highlighted.
-If I buy you a lineart, can I digitally color it?
Yes, in fact I do the linearts in traditional with this objective in mind, so that anyone can color them digitally since my traditional coloring is somewhat limited, just remember that when you post it, give me credit by naming me as the artist who designed the lineart.
-I would like that the drawing that I'm going to commission you doesn't publish it in your pages, is it possible?
No, at least not for now, I'm starting to work on the internet as a freelance artist, and I need my drawings to be published in my galleries so that people know what I'm capable of doing.
-I see that you follow many nsfw artists, why don't you accept to make nsfw commissions?
Yes I follow a lot of nsfw artists but that doesn't mean I want to draw that kind of art, I don't want to work nsfw art, at least not for now.
-Do you do trades?
Sometimes. But paid work takes priority.
-When will you open digital commissions?
When I practice enough, I still have a hard time using the tablet.
-I see you don't draw backgrounds, but, Can you draw the characters with some objects around them for example chairs, boxes, rocks or grass?
Yes, If they are small things, there is no problem, such as bonfires, weapons, tables, etc., but depending on the complexity of those objects, I can charge a small additional cost.
-Among the things you don't draw, What do you mean with "Ultra Hyper exaggerated anatomy"? Can you give some examples?
Yes, when I say "Ultra Hyper exaggerated anatomy", I mean things like characters with too much muscle, to the point that it looks ridiculous, for example, there is an artist that I follow and admire a lot, YongDasom
on twitter (https://twitter.com/YongDasom), If you see his gallery, he specializes in drawing characters with a lot of muscles, I would say that my limits are characters similar to his style, I will not draw something more exaggerated than his style.
-Do you draw private commissions? I want to be able to order several drawings, What I can do?
Generally not, but it depends on the situation, the idea, and the time I have available, contact me and we can discuss your idea.

[Update] Traditional Art prices and T.O.S
Posted 5 years agoHello there! ^^
My terms of services and commission prices in traditional drawing have been updated, you can see them in my Trello table:
https://trello.com/b/HfmtqES8/kral92-commissions
I plan to make a price list for detailed style drawings and simple or cartoon style drawings, to make it easier to see with examples what product you are buying.
Again, I plan to open the commissions next week, when I'm sure I'll let you know the day and time, thank you very much for everything ^^

I will open commissions possibly in 2 or 3 weeks
Posted 5 years agoHello there!
I do this little journal to inform you about the details of my next commissions, the reason for this is that I have received many messages and DM in all my social media, Twitter, Telegram, DA, FA and Instagram, and guys really really thank you very much for your messages, they mean a lot!
I know that many have asked me before and I have answered that possibly in 2 or 3 weeks but everything has been delayed, really I expected to open the commissions this week but I still need to do some things, so I don't want there to be any confusion about it.
Right now I'm starting to work on an extra commission, which I accepted because I needed some money but also I need more time to update my price list and my TOS, and I hope to finish it this week.
Also I plan to draw two examples with my oc Kral (I have almost half a year without drawing him).
These two Kral drawings I plan to use as examples for my new price list, so I hope to finish them next week, that way I would open the commissions in 2 or 3 weeks, I'm a slow artist because I take a while with traditional drawings, but i will do my best to open the commissions as soon as possible.
I will notify 3 days before I open the commissions on all my social media.
Again thank you very much for your patience and I hope you have a good day! ^^

Contrast correction in my last drawings
Posted 5 years agoHi there! ^^
Thanks to my friend
menceybentayga I have noticed an important mistake that I have been making when I scan my drawings, In general, I don't like to modify or edit the drawings that I scan to preserve the fidelity of the traditional drawing, I want the digitization of a handmade drawing to transmit the original strokes and colors of the paper.
That's why when I scan color drawings, linearts or grayscale I only clean the white background of the drawing (the paper texture) and the little impurities in the scan, however my mistake was not taking into account the brightness of the scan, since when the scanner works, it uses light when digitizing and capturing the image, consequently, the image is brighter than it should be.
I had not realized this, and although the images don't look bad, they are so bright that in some cases many strokes and aspects of the drawing cannot be appreciated, this is evident when I compare the original physical drawing with the image, and the colors are much stronger in the physical version.
So from now on, when I scan any of my drawings, I will use a couple of CSP tools to raise the contrast of the colors and thus get closer to the physical version, seeking to counteract the excess light from the scan.
That is why I'm going to republish my last 6 commissions with these changes, I will leave links to the previous scans in each publication so that you can compare the difference.
I will also contact the commission owners to mail them the update files for their drawings, I'm a bit busy this weekend, so I will gradually publish each update.
Without further ado I hope you have a good day!

It has been a long journey, and since I opened this commissions in February, I feel that I'm a totally different artist, I have learned and experienced so much with my traditional art, that... I have no words.
However, I know that it has taken me a long time, 4 months for 6 commissions... I have to change that ... I have not taken this seriously, although I have tried, I feel that with more planning and discipline I would have finished these commissions before, and you know what? I don't plan to give up!
Maybe I'm a slow artist, but I want to keep working, I want to make this my work and I'll keep trying, thanks to all my commissioners, for the patience that you have had, I hope from the bottom of my heart that the wait has been worth it.
I will take a little break to plan my new commissions, maybe draw some personal art to use as an example for my new price list and I hope to open the next round of commissions soon, because I need it, I need to pay my bills T^T.
Also invest in a new scanner, the one I have is very old and is breaking down xD
And don't worry, I will notify 3 days before the commissions open.
Greetings and have a nice day! >w<

Posted 5 years agoOMG 3000 Favorites >w< thanks to everyone!
I do not know what to say, I did not expect to reach so many likes T^T
Really thank you very much for everything T^T
I try to improve my drawing times, and be able to publish more often.
Many have asked me about the commissions, I can only tell you that I will open them soon, I still need to finish with 2 pending drawings and make my new commission sheet, I was hoping to open them next week, but I think I'll take a little more.
Anyway, I will notify you 3 days before the commissions open, possibly I will use the google forms system but I'm still not sure.
Thanks for everything and have a nice day! ^^

200 watchers! Thank you so much!!! T^T
Posted 5 years agoOMG my first 200 watchers here! >w<
Thank you very much to all, really since I came here 4 years ago it's a great milestone for me ^^
I wish I could do some kind of celebration, maybe a raffle, but I'm a little busy and drawing in traditional takes up a lot of time, I wish I could be faster.
But it does not mean that I will not do it, I will do the raffle later, when I have some time and without pending work I will organize it.
Thanks for everything, really, it means a lot T^T, greetings and have a nice day ^^

The future of my Traditional Drawings
Posted 5 years agoHi guys, as you know, my last drawing I published yesterday, this one here:
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/36650837/
It is a work that I have a lot of appreciation for, I consider it the most complex illustration I have done so far ... and also the one that I have dedicated the most time to, almost 3 weeks ... and that brings problems.
I have been thinking about it for a long time, and I have come to the conclusion that it is not profitable for me to continue like this, it takes me too long to deliver complex traditional drawings, my skills are still not very good at achieving those illustrations in a good time frame.
Traditional drawing requires time, patience and great care, I cannot make many mistakes and I have to work very slowly to avoid mistakes in the strokes, or coloring where it shouldn't, a small mistake is fatal, I can erase very rarely because the sheet wears out, I run the risk of staining the sheet constantly, and damaging the drawing means starting from scratch again.
That is why it took me a long time to draw art with that style and quality, the details, although I love to do them, take time, and although in my last commissions I have learned a lot, I have noticed that the time between illustrations is very high.
Not only does drawing in traditional require time, when I scan the drawing and clean it with Photoshop or Clip Studio Paint, I have to remove the “color” from the paper, and leave the background blank, sometimes I manage to do it in a couple of hours, but sometimes it can take me a whole day to clean the scan of impurities.
To give you an idea, I opened the commissions that I'm currently attending 3 months ago, on February 11 I opened 6 slots, and yesterday I finished with slot nº 5, I'm missing nº 6 that I will start working on today.
For the vast majority this is too much, and in fact it's ... the money I have gotten from these commissions has helped me a lot ... but when it takes me so long to do all this, it is not profitable, I'm missing a commission to deliver and I have been in need of money for a month.
I've been about to open emergency commissions, but thanks to some donations from Ko-fi, I was able to last a few weeks, and that's when I realized that if I continue like this, I won't get anywhere, I'll always be in an emergency ...
That's why I have to change, and I have to learn digital drawing faster.
I'm confident that if I practice enough I will be able to use digital drawing as a working alternative, I'm confident that I will be able to publish more illustrations in less time, since with digital drawing I don't have to worry if I make mistakes, or clean the scan, since things that make me work slower in traditional drawing don't exist in digital drawing.
However, that transition will take time, and it will not be easy, digital drawing was my goal after all, so while that happens I plan to do the following:
1- Limit complex and detailed works in Traditional Drawing:
I'm going to try to offer less traditional commission slots that are complex, and offer more slots for half bodies or busts, since I can draw those drawings more easily, I will stop offering Reference Sheets in traditional drawing, since they are works that cost me a lot of time to do in that format.
2- Set simple styles, and increase the price of detailed style drawings:
You may not know it, but I also draw less detailed styles, comic style, chibi or cartoon, here are some examples:
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/34930873/
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/34411375/
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33485140/
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33459007/
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33327990/
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33345215/
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/29846781/
These drawings for me are a little easier to do, require less detail and in general I can draw them faster compared to detailed drawings.
So I was planning to offer simple style drawings as a kind of option separate from the detailed style that I usually do, I would charge these drawings cheaper compared to detailed work, and I will raise the price of detailed drawings.
I'm afraid that the new prices will drive many of my commissioners away, but I consider that my traditional drawings have more value ... and if I don't give value to the days, hours, and weeks of work that I dedicate to an illustration, If I don't value the details and care with which I work my drawings, then I'm implying that my effort is worthless.
So I will raise the price of detailed commissions, I hope you understand.
3- Treat the detailed traditional commissions as long-term projects:
Again here I'm a little scared because I'm not sure that many users like it, but from now on I will alert the commissioners who buy works of this style from me because they are orders that will take time, I have never rushed traditional drawing because I don't want to damage the quality of the work, but if the client is aware that it takes me a long time to do this type of work, I will work much more calmly.
4- Design a calendar and work schedule:
I want to take the drawing in a much more professional way, that's why I planned to design work schedules to optimize my time and work rhythm, if I want to become a professional artist, I must act and work as one.
This will allow me to allocate hours to work, hours to study digital drawing and hours to rest, and I hope this helps me to be a much faster and much more competent artist.
All these changes I will begin to apply when I finish with the drawings that I have pending, a commission, and two raffle prizes on Twitter that I still owe, and when I achieve that, I will reopen the commissions.
I hope you understand the importance of these changes that I must make, and as the title of this post says, this will change the future of my work in traditional art.
This doesn't mean that I stop drawing traditional art, I love it, I'm passionate about pencil textured designs, the vast majority of users who follow my work in FA, Deviantart, Instagram and Twitter know me only for my traditional art, and I will not stop drawing with pencil and paper.
But I have to look to the future, and digital design is something I cannot ignore, I cannot stay in traditional drawing forever, if I want to be a better artist I must be better with digital drawing and improve my traditional drawing.
I still don't feel very capable of doing many things that I have planned, a web comic, animation projects, even video games, I have a lot of ambition, and I want to explore many areas of this beautiful art, but I must also ensure a platform in which I can pay my bills and improve my quality of life with my works, and working on art can help me to that, but if I don't make these changes, if I don't take this seriously as a job, I won't be able to advance.
Without further ado, thank you very much for taking the time to read this, thank you for following my work, thank you for the comments and favorites, they help me a lot to keep going.
Greetings and have a good day, a big hug.

So... I've played GW2 a bit and I love it!
Posted 5 years agoSince I've drawn the charrs a couple of weeks ago, I've been finding out a lot about them,
not only references of how they look but information of the game from which they originate, Guild Wars 2.
Many have been recommending the game to me and I have approached with some care, since mmorpg's are great, I adore them, but they are a black hole of time, they require a lot of time and I'm no longer for games like that, I try to be a freelance artist and I must constantly work in illustrations if I want to receive money to pay my bills.
I look for games to distract myself from time to time, for example when I have artblocks or I feel bad and a mmorpg It doesn't seem a good option, I say this from the experiences I have with mmorpg's, I was a player of World of Warcraft and I know perfectly how difficult it is to detach from such a game, especially for the daily time that a game like this asks you.
So a friend told me, "hey GW2 is much more friendly with your time" so... I said, "let's try it", I downloaded it and yesterday I was almost all day playing it and I loved it! xD
I created a charr warrior and ... God! the game is immense!, the map is immense, the city of the charr is incredible, the graphics of the game seem like oil paintings, is beautiful!.
I was surprised by the combat system, depending on the weapon you gain skills and you can make combinations according to the weapons equipped, and it is very easy to learn, the interface is very good.
I was also surprised by the professions, you can save materials directly in your material bank so despite having little space in the bags, you can always send things to your warehouse at any time.
And the levels, even though you have a high level, the game keeps your stats reduced in certain areas so that the challenge is not to press a key and explode everything, I love it, and I've even found enemies that are difficult to beat.
I really am hooked, and I'm already level 20 and the events in the zones and story missions are interesting, even though I know almost nothing about the Guild Wars lore.
A friend told me that although I'm playing the free version, the first 80 levels are like a tutorial, so even though I have not bought the expansions I have enough time to learn a little more since I see that the game has some difficulty and complexity with the multitude of currency's there are.
The truth is that I loved the game so far, and I plan to buy the expansions in the future when I have money T^T.
I didn't expect that drawing Charrs would take me to the game, and I have enjoyed a lot, I even want to draw the charr character I create, a charr warrior who uses a rifle and a two-handed bow, I don't know if I'm playing warrior class as it should be xD but I enjoy shooting those two weapons ^^.

Answering some questions about request and trades
Posted 5 years agoHello there!
Lately on my Deviantart page, FA and on my Twitter many people have been asking me about whether I accept request and trades, and the general answer I give to this is no, for now.
As you know, I'm very busy working with commissions, and when I finish drawing those commissions I have some raffle prizes that I haven't drawn yet, so I can't commit to accepting trades or requests, at least for a while.
You can check my trello to see what I'm currently working on:
https://trello.com/b/HfmtqES8/
About the requests, I see less and less the possibility of doing them, because drawing in traditional takes me a lot of time, maybe when I practice a little with the digital tablet I will give some digital sketches as a request, but I can not assure anything for now.
I really want to do trades with some artists and mutuals, but until I finish with what I have pending I can't accept them, also, I still need to do some reference sheets of some of my OCs to be able to do trades correctly.
Without further ado, greetings and take good care of yourself, a big hug to all ^^

After 3 hard weeks... going back to the routine
Posted 5 years agoThis weekend I returned to the normal routine of working with the drawings, It has been a difficult 3 weeks for me, although these weeks have been more difficult for my mother, she is feeling better, but she still needs some medical exams to see...
Those medical tests are expensive, much more than I can afford... I still have to wait to see if the medical insurance will be able to cover it, but in case they cannot do it, I'll have to leave my job earlier than planned and dedicate myself much more to the commissions...
More than anything because with commissions I can get more money than in my current job... however I don't want to rush things, I have to wait for the insurance response first, depending on that I will make a decision...
And you will wonder, if I earn more with commissions, why don't I dedicate myself to it already? Is simple, with that job I have insurance for medical expenses, and despite the fact that this insurance has a very bad reputation (they reject it in almost all hospitals) I have been fortunate that the most expensive exams have been covered, while others have been paid by me...
In the long run I get better dedicating myself to the commissions, but at the moment, staying in that job is helping me with medical expenses. That's why I don't want to make desperate decisions. And that is why, for me it has been a complex month, I will not deny it, I'm still afraid, and sometimes I have felt alone in this, for that reason I very much appreciate the words of encouragement of all of you guys.
Without further ado, I thank the people who have commissioned me for their patience, soon your orders will be ready, I just need a little more time.
Greetings everyone, thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you have a good day! ^^

Taking my mother to the hospital, drawing a little slower
Posted 5 years agoHi guys!, I wanted to inform you, especially the people who commissioned me in this month, that in the next few days I'll be drawing a little slower.
The reason for this is that I'm taking my mother to the hospital, she hasn't felt very well these days.
Although doctors have not seen anything unusual for now, on Monday I'll take her to see a cardiologist, she is fine, but there are times when she feels very weak and she notices very strong palpitations.
And that's what worries me a little...
Thanks to the commissions I managed to pay for the exams and next week she will be doing other medical checkups, I hope it's nothing serious.
That is why it will take me a little longer to complete the drawings...
The truth is I'm very happy to have opened the commissions, I would be having a hard time without being able to help her.
I'll be informing you in the next few days.
Greetings and I hope you have a good day ^^
