Commissions T.O.S.
Posted 6 years agoThese are my terms of service:
About the Product:
1. For now (because I don't have a digital tablet and a good pc) all my drawings are made exclusively with pencil, colored pencils and paper (Traditional Drawing).
2. Once I finish a drawing , I scan it and then clean it with photoshop, this process is somewhat slow depending on the amount of small details the drawings has (Cleaning Linearts takes more time).
3. The technical specifications of my digitized traditional drawing illustrations are: 2550 x 3508 (vertical) or 3508 x 2550 (horizontal), with 300p resolution in .png format.
4. For localization reasons, I cannot send the original drawing (The physical sheet) to the client, so the illustrations I produce are exclusively digitizations of traditional drawings (the scanned illustration).
5. If you buy a drawing with color, or grayscale, you will also receive its lineart version before I apply color or grayscale to the illustration (No additional cost).
About the Licensing and Copyright:
1. You can post the illustration wherever you want, as long as you give me proper credit.
2. I have the right to publish and edit the illustration in any of my pages, social networks, and galleries, if I need it.
3. You cannot re-sell the illustration.
4. If the illustration shows characters that belong to other people, you must have permission from the owners of the characters (If the illustration is a giftart for the person who owns the characters this rule can be omitted).
About the Payment:
1. I accept payment up-front via PayPal or Payonner.
2. Sometimes, when I indicate it at the opening of commissions, I'll accept to receive DeviantArt points as payment method, the price of the commission for DA points will be equivalent to its price in dollars (1$ = 100 DA points).
3. Once I confirm work with your idea, I'll send you an invoice in PayPal or I'll send you my Payoneer mail so that you can send the payment.
4. You can request a cancellation of the commission only if your commission are still in the queue and I have not yet started working with your illustration, after that, the refund process begins.
5. I reserve the right to cancel your commission at any time (In case of not being able to make the drawing, health problems, personal or extraordinary cases, I'll let you know), and then start the refund process.
6. About the commissions slots, each slot represent a drawing in progress, if a client pays several drawings at the same time, a slot will be assigned to each drawing.
7. If a customer buys several commission slots, I'll send several paypal invoices to the client with each illustration separately.
About the Working Method:
1. After receiving full payment, I'll assign you a slot in my commission list, commissions are attended by purchase order.
2. I'll constantly consult changes in the sketching stage, once the commission goes to lineart stage, there are no possible changes to make.
3. I'll be delivering WIP (Work In Progress) of the drawing to the client every time I progress with the commission, I'll also progressively publish the WIP in my art pages so that people know what I'm currently working on.
4. I'll ask the client if he doesn't have problems in which I publish WIP of the commission in my pages, since for example if the commission is a giftart, publishing WIP would lose the surprise factor.
5. The final drawing will be sent on any platform where the user feels more comfortable, whether by mail, telegram, twitter DM, notes on DeviantArt or FA.
6. I'm not a full time artist, drawing in traditional costs me time, doing linearts, coloring and digitizing are tasks that take me a long time, keep this in mind because I don't work with deadlines, sometimes I can draw faster, sometimes it takes me one or more weeks, again, I'll keep the customer informed if delays occur in the drawing process.
About the things that I won't draw:
- X Backgrounds (I still don't feel able to draw scenarios, constructions and landscapes... for now).
- X Extreme gore, pornography, nudes or sex (NSFW in General).
- X Very offensive topics.
- X Hyper exaggerated anatomy.
- X Fetishes (vore, feet and hyper for example).
- X OC x Canon.
When you make the payment of my commissions you agree:
1. You have read and accepted these terms.
2. You are my client, and subject to these terms.

In April, my new journey begins
Posted 6 years agoGreetings people, I bring you new news.
I recently told you that I might quit or I would be fired from my job because of disagreements with my current job as a programmer.
Yesterday was the meeting with the heads of the company and we discussed the problem with our supervisors.
Surprisingly, everything went well, they didn't fire anyone, and listened to our complaints.
Several of my coworkers, including me, will be benefiting from assistance programs that we were demanding since last year, I'll be able to take advantage of this help to do several things that I needed, one of them was to be able to pay medical checkups for my mother since she suffers from back problems, and for a while I could not afford that.
However, I plan to continue working in the company until April or May of this year, 2 months before what I had originally planned to do, once those months arrive, I'll resign, I already told my supervisor and he agreed, he will also resign soon xD.
By that date I hope to have worked several commissions, and get enough money to buy some basic tools before turning the drawing into my new way of life, buying a good chair, a good drawing desk and fixing or buying a new pc.
I'll try to start the next round of commissions next week, since I have not been able to open commissions for problems with my paypal, but I'm already solving them, without further ado, thank you all very much for your comments of support, I'm sorry to have worried you guys, take care and have a good day!.
Decisive Week, possibly I get fired or I quit...
Posted 6 years agoHi everyone, I hope you are fine, yesterday I posted something important on twitter that I want to share with you here:
Next week, if everything goes well, I'll I be able to open my Ko-Fi page, but also there is a high probability that I get fired or I quit my job...
I already have 3 years working for a company that is responsible for maintaining databases and servers for other companies, but lately I'm getting tired of the situation, they pay the minimum, sometimes they force overtime, and slowly I'm hating my career as a programmer...
I don't feel like I'm progressing or learning anything, and I'm not alone in this, several coworkers and I today made a complaint, and we are not sure of our future in the company... this whole situation is depressing and discouraging me a lot... more than anything because I feel like I've wasted my time, I feel that I have wasted my studies, that all the effort I put into my career as a programmer was for nothing, that all the passion and love I had for my career, is gone...
If I get fired or I quit, I'll have to advance one of the objectives that I wanted to achieve for this year, dedicate myself to drawing more and living from art, the problem is that it arrives in a complex moment in which I don't feel prepared...
In the last 3 years I have drawn little by little, only 2 years ago I started making some commissions, last year I considered keeping my job and having commissions as my part-time job, by July of this year I expected to quit my job and dedicate myself to being a freelancer artist.
In these last 3 years, my passion for drawing has grown, and a part of me is celebrating that I can finally get to dedicate myself to this, but, I don't feel prepared, and I'm afraid of failing this ... I'm afraid to disappoint many people...
I didn't expect this situation, and I'm very worried, everything will depend on the response given by the supervisors next week.
I know, no matter what happens I must stand firm and keep trying, it's just that, it's suffocating when problems come to you suddenly...
This weekend I hope to finish 2 drawings that I have pending, so soon I'll inform you about it.
Thanks for reading this, I hope you have a nice day.

About Commissions
Posted 6 years agoHello there! :D
Guys! I'm planning on completing 4 or 5 drawings before opening the commissions again.
Among those drawings are an art raffle prize (with which I'm working now), a gift art, and two reference sheets where I'll draw two of my oc's.
There is the possibility of a fifth drawing, which would be a fanart that I have wanted to do for a long time, a drawing of Tracer (Overwatch), or a drawing of Cathy / Nessa / Rurina (Pokemon Sword and Shield). I'm planning on doing a poll for followers to vote for one of the two characters that you want me to draw. But first I'll ask if the followers would like me to do the fanart, I want to gradually involve you in more things like this ^^.
So the opening of commissions may be delayed until February or even until March.
As I said earlier this year in my Wish / Goal list for 2020, I plan to focus this year on commissions a lot, I want to improve my work area, and also show that I can live on art, making more constant commissions that can pay my bills and my expenses, so when the first round of commissions ends, I'll most likely open another round of commissions as soon as the first round is over, possibly each round will have 6 slots.
I'm sorry for the delay in opening the commissions, I hope this doesn't bother you guys, but I need to draw these 4 or 5 drawings because I want to practice some elements before opening the commissions.
No more to add, greetings and I hope you have a good day!.

Wish / Goals List - 2020
Posted 6 years agoHello there! :D
The purpose of this is to list things that I want and I hope to achieve for the 2020, I have a lot of faith in this year, I want to take the drawing to a more professional level, that way maybe I can become a full-time artist and with that I can improve my quality of life.
I will be updating this list with things that I achieved during the year, I will mark with a check icon goals that are completed, the order of the list is not important.
To achieve the vast majority of these objectives, I must give high priority to the commissions:
1. Repair my current laptop or buy a better computer.
2. Buy a basic digital drawing tablet.
3. Buy a better modem / router to avoid problems with the internet.
4. Practice digital drawing and digital coloring to offer commissions of digital drawings.
5. If I succeed with commissions, leave my current job and become a full-time freelancer artist.
6. Buy a better scanner or printer with scanner to improve the quality of traditional digitized drawings.
7. Buy a better drawing or PC desk together with a good chair, to avoid more backaches xD.
8. Buy computer accessories such as a better monitor, secondary monitor, and things like regulators to protect electronic equipment (I live in Venezuela, the electricity here is constantly unstable).
9. G̶e̶t̶ ̶a̶ ̶g̶i̶r̶l̶f̶r̶i̶e̶n̶d̶ ̶o̶r̶ ̶m̶o̶r̶e̶ ̶f̶r̶i̶e̶n̶d̶s̶,̶ ̶I̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶w̶a̶n̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶a̶l̶o̶n̶e̶.̶ Being more positive, focusing on the drawings, having a better discipline and destroying my habits of procasting.
10. Open a Ko-Fi.
11. Buy better traditional drawing materials (better colored pencils and drawing paper, not just use only office letter size paper).
12. Study better digital and traditional drawing techniques (color theory, perspective, shadows, background design and landscape).
13. Buy materials to start working with ink drawings.
14. Find a way to send the original traditional drawings to customers outside Venezuela, and that the product arrives in good condition.
15. Draw and print illustrations, posters, stickers, open a stand and sell them at fairs or conventions of drawing, art, comic and anime.
16. Incorporate background design in traditional and digital drawing as an additional element in the commissions.
17. Incorporate comic design in traditional and digital drawing as an additional element in the commissions.
18. Start writing, drawing and publishing my own comic / manga project with a pilot chapter.
19. Open a Patreon.
20. Buy a good smartphone... (I have an old smartphone).
21. Study and practice animation with 2D digital drawing.
22. Incorporate animation in 2D digital drawing as an additional product in the commissions.
23. Participate in the Inktober of 2020.
24. Complete the Inktober of 2020.
I hope to reach some of these goals in this 2020, it will be difficult, but I will give my best effort, my future depends on this.

Happy New Year! ^^
Posted 6 years agoHello there! :D
Guys! really thank you very much for all the support during this year 2019, the comments, favorites, new watchers, really thank you very much for following what I do!
Really, thank you very much to everyone, every day, I'm looking forward to converting my drawings into my new life style, I know I have a lot to learn, it will not be easy, it never is, the difficulties are in every corner, but you help me a lot to keep going.
2020 will be a year of challenges, and I hope to be prepared.
This week I will have it free, so I will take the opportunity to finish 3 drawings that I have pending, on my trello board you can see what I am currently doing, the status and what I have completed most recently.
https://trello.com/b/HfmtqES8
Once I finish with these drawings, I will try to make some reference sheets of my characters to practice some things and reopen the commissions, I will inform you in advance with a journal, when the commissions are open, this time I will work with more than 3 slots, maybe 5 or 6.
I know that I draw very slowly and in general it takes me to draw things in traditional drawing, (more than anything for my job that takes away the little free time I have to draw between the days of the week) but several friends have told me that it is normal, and they have advised me to open more slots, so it will be the first time that I will attend a lot of people, I hope everything goes well.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you all very much, have a happy new year and have a good time! :D

Guys, I'm opening a Trello board!
There you can see in which illustrations I'm currently working, as well as you can see all the information about my commissions, terms of services and progress of the illustrations.
I want to use Trello mainly as a reference point so that anyone can access any information about my pages, how to contact me, information about my galleries on the internet, my social networks, as well as specific information on what drawing I'm working, as well as the commission queue list, even a list of finished drawings.
Here you can see my trello board --> https://trello.com/b/HfmtqES8

About Requests
Posted 6 years agoHi, In both of my DA and FA pages I have been receiving many private messages or notes about if I'm accepting request.
Guys, I want to be very honest with you, I'm not closing the possibility that I open the request again, but right now I cannot accept request.
Right now I'm working on 2 drawings for the 2 winners of the raffle that I did here in FA two weeks ago, also this week I started again in my job as a programmer, I don't have time to accept request while I have pending drawings, please understand.
Next week I'll reopen the commissions, and because I don't have much time to draw, any commission that arrives will have 100% of my attention and time.
I need the money I can get from commissions, that helps me a lot, since I need to save money to buy a good pc, a drawing board and that will help me to extend my skills as a digital artist, as well as buy materials that I need to continue working as a traditional artist.
So for next week when I open commissions, if I can't get commissions, and if I don't have any pending drawings, only in that situation I'll open the requests, I'll let you know in advance.
Take care, greetings!

NEW! - Weekly Sketchbook!
Posted 6 years agoHello there! :D
Today I'll start making a weekly sketch in my sketchbook, I'll do these drawings more than anything to practice concepts and draw things that I almost always want to draw but I never have time to do it.
Every week I'll try to draw different things to practice, in most of the scenarios they will be fan-art of things and franchises that I like, but I'll also take the opportunity to learn and improve styles outside of mine.
I'll be making these drawings in my small spare hours at my job, I don't have much free time from Monday to Friday, but little by little, even if it is a small stroke per day, I'll try to make this challenge and publish it every weekend.
My job as a programmer is taking away a lot of free time in the week, but it is my job that currently pays my expenses, I can't quit ... that's why I have to improve, having only the weekends to draw will not stop me, I want to improve and in the difficulties become a better artist, that's why I want to try to make this challenge.
I hope you like this new weekly challenge that I'll try to place and work here from now on.
Without more to say, here I leave you with the first weekly sketch ---> https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33766010/
Greetings and a big hug to all! :D

Commissions Info
Posted 6 years agoHello there!
October ends and November begins, we are already in the final stretch of the year, how fast time passes!
October has been a complicated month, it has been the month where I asked for my vacations and also the month where I first tried to participate in inktober, and although I only completed the first 12 days, it was a fun experience, I hope next year to complete the challenge, I learned a lot during this month.
However, my vacations are ending today, tomorrow, November 4, I return to work as a programmer and that means that I return to the usual schedule, I'll draw only on weekends.
I really don't feel that I have rested well these "vacations", but it is part of the work, and I have to keep working hard if I want to advance in drawing as a profession in which I can make a living here, selling illustrations.
October has been a bad month for commissions, nobody bought me a drawing, I guess it's bad luck, maybe my prices are very high? I don't know ... but I have to work on it.
That is why I'll close the commissions for a couple of weeks until I have updated the list of commissions with lower prices.
This is the actual Commission List --> https://www.furaffinity.net/view/32528523/
I will also update the list to make it easier to read, also I'll add a Terms and Conditions of commissions.
I'm planning for December to make offers with commission price reductions at a 50% or 40% discount.
And I'm also planning to accept commissions with deviantart points, since I have only 2 months left before I run out of core membership, and I would like to renew it for another year.
Without further ado, stay tuned next week, greetings and many hugs to everyone!

Raffle Winners!
Posted 6 years agoHello there!
Two weeks ago I organized a raffle to celebrate my first 100 followers here in FA, I'll draw 2 color drawings for the first two winners.
This is the raffle journal ---> https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9297420/
I'm honestly a bit sad, since not many people participated... I was planning to extend the raffle one more week, but I think it would be disrespectful for the users participating in the raffle, so I must fulfill what was promised, today the 2 winners are chosen!
Winners:
First Place:
anginjiwa
Second Place:
kra5h
Here are the proof of the contest:

Congratulations to the winners!
Soon I'll start working with your designs, and I'll be publishing the WIP of your drawings.
For the rest of the participants, don't worry, this is only the first raffle I do here in FA, I plan to do one every time I get more followers, If I reach 150 or 200 followers, I'll make another raffle!
Greetings and good luck next time!

Drawing another artist's style, would you do it?
Posted 6 years agoHello there! :D
Regards! I hope everyone is well!
Recently while drawing I was watching a video about drama among artists.
This video ---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVBuii3b-D0
In summary there is something that happened between an artist and a potential client who wanted to buy a commission, but the client wanted the artist to draw a character in the style of another artist, and basically this bothered the artist a lot since he considered it a great disrespect.
And that last one is what encouraged me to open a debate here on that specific topic.
If a client asks you to draw a character in the style of another artist, would you consider it as an insult or disrespect?
Honestly, I personally would not take it as an insult or disrespect, since someone, in this case a client, is relying on my abilities to replicate another artist's style, for many it is something that can be challenging or annoying, but personally, I don't see a problem in doing something like that.
However, I don't know if this attitude on my part would be correct, should I refuse this kind of clients who ask me to draw something in the style of another artist?
Should the client asking me that be ashamed?
I honestly don't know, that's why I wanted to ask your opinion about it, please comment!
Greetings and have a nice day! :D

Back to draw!
Posted 6 years agoHello there! :D
As I said in my previous journal, I took a break of about 3 days to calm my back pain and also to rest the hand I use to draw, I feel a bit refreshed and ready to start drawing again, but I will take it easy because I'm still on my vacation hehe
I have prepared a list of things that I will be doing successively, this is some of the things I owe to some users:
1.- Finish a trade for a user on twitter.
2.- Coloring Fenrir lineart --> https://www.furaffinity.net/view/31647929/
3.- Coloring Leomon lineart --> https://www.furaffinity.net/view/30910405/
When I finish with those 3 drawings, I will color the Delbin lineart --> https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33485140/
Once I finish with those drawings, maybe I dedicate myself to draw some fan-art, I really want to draw reptiles, so maybe I draw more Spyro Reignited Trilogy fan-art, but I would also like to draw some human characters so I will try to draw some One Piece characters that I like.
I also take the opportunity to remind you that I'm making a raffle to celebrate my first 100 followers here on FA, the raffle prizes are 2 color drawings for the first two winners. Here you will find the link of the journal in which you can participate:
https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9297420/
I also want to inform you that starting from November I will start making half-price offers on my commissions, I will soon update the list of commissions, I will be giving more information later.
Greetings to all and a big hug, see you later!

Inktober 2019 - I give up
Posted 6 years agoHello there!
I hope everybody is fine!
As you have read in the title, I give up, inktober 2019 has defeated me.
This is the first time that I participate in an inktober event, and the truth, has been a lot of fun and I have learned a lot of things, unfortunately I retire having completed all the drawings until the 12th, today is already Saturday the 19th, I'm already far behind.
These are the reasons why I withdraw from the event:
1. I'm slow artist:
It doesn't take me that long to draw a sketch, but when the sketch or idea is ready, and I start to draw the lines with dark pencils to finish the lineart, I can take a long time, and more when I color or do some type of filling like the flat grayscale that I usually do.
2. I get distracted a lot:
This can easily take away hours of work because sometimes I can't concentrate when I draw.
3. I scan and clean the drawings instead of just taking a picture:
I have a smartphone with a very bad camera, so I prefer to scan and clean the drawings with photoshop to remove impurities from the scan, however depending on how clean or not the final drawing is, these can bring many or few impurities, and cleaning a drawing in the end it can take a long time depending on that, although thanks to inktober I have learned to be faster when I clean the scans.
4. I'm already physically tired:
I don't have a drawing desk, or a comfortable chair, so drawing all day is giving me strong backaches, my wrist and hand hurts a lot, this is because I press the pencils a lot when I draw, it is a bad habit I have and can get injured if I'm not careful.
I haven't really rested in all this month of vacation, because as you remember, I asked for my vacation this year in October to participate in Intkober2019, but I have only 2 weeks left before my vacation ends and I return to my job as a programmer.
5. Inktober goes against my work style:
Inktober has made me really understand how I work my drawings, something that I hadn't realized before.
I usually work the details a lot and I always look for each drawing to be the best possible, I would define it as perfectionism, whenever I draw a sketch, I erase a lot, since I'm always fixing errors in the drawing even when I'm already drawing the lines for the lineart.
To give an example in the drawing of day 10 Kral's arm I changed it almost 10 times, then it took me a long time to draw his hand, in the end I used my own hand and a mirror to find the angle of the hand I needed and draw it, but I make these changes because when I see the drawing in general and find aspects that I don't like, I change them, delete them and redraw them.
I had not taken this into account before, I almost do it automatically, and this perfectionism that I have, that everything should go well, that I don't allow errors in the stroke and the final drawing, are factors that take me a lot of time when I draw.
I don't know if this perfectionism is good or bad, but I know that it affected me a lot when it came to drawing a daily drawing at the event.
Another thing that I realized in the Inktober is that it is difficult for me to draw simple things, the drawing of day 11 for example, I was going to draw only a snowman, then I got the idea of making animals and chose to draw bears, and then I changed the original sketch and restructure the whole drawing so that the new ideas had space on the sheet.
So yes! I have trouble drawing simple things.
Final thoughts:
I'm sorry to disappoint you guys, I would have loved to reach the end of the event, but I couldn't, and the 5 reasons above explain why.
Despite finishing until day 12 I'm glad to have participated and planned for a year to get here, I'm very happy with what I achieved in this event, I have learned a lot from my skills and myself, and despite being a little sad for not having gone any further, I'm very happy with the drawings I managed to make.
I must improve my skills for an upcoming inktober, I must improve my working methods, plan better and have better discipline, I have a lot of work to do, but I know that the next inktober in which I participate, I'll be better prepared and when that happens, I'll try to get there until the end.
Thank you all for following my work in this inktober, good luck to those who still participate, greetings and a big hug.
See you later!

A little late but I'll not give up!
Posted 6 years agoHello there!
Greetings guys! I hope everyone is well, I wanted to tell you something important about inktober 2019
As you can see I'm a little late, just yesterday I uploaded the drawing of the day 9 and right now I'm working with the drawing of the day 10, I can possibly upload it at night or tomorrow, but today it is already October 14th so from tomorrow I'll be at 5 days late with the event, and I don't like that.
I'm trying to draw simpler things to achieve the rhythm of the event but I have trouble drawing simple things, whenever I can, I try to add things and details and I don't know, I end up completing the drawing too late and this is starting to worry me because I'm staying too behind.
But even so I'll stay in the event, I want to complete inktober 2019 even if the month ends and I have drawings left I'll continue trying until I complete the 31 days.
And basically that is, I want to improve the times, I want to be faster and I'll try to improve my skills in the remainder of the month of inktober, I hope you don't mind that I publish delayed inktober stuff.
Without more to say, thank you very much for the comments and the +favorites, greetings and have a nice day!

Posted 6 years agoHello there! :D
I wanted to share with you guys the things that I'm planning for the future with my art, this will be a little long journal but I hope to express myself well and clarify some doubts.
First of all I want to thank all of you my followers here in FA, and other people who manage to read this journal and who are more on other platforms where I publish my art such as Twitter, Instagram and DeviantArt, thank you very much for all the support, for the likes, for the favorites, for the comments, for sharing my work and helping me spread what I do, really thank you very much! it means a lot :D.
Maybe you already know but to clarify I'll make a summary of what I have achieved in this space:
Who am I?
My name is Andrés Alvarez! :) I'm a Venezuelan artist that works exclusively with handmade drawings, pencil and paper or traditional art drawings. I have drawn since childhood, but since 2016 I started publishing my drawings in DeviantArt.
I don't have studies in arts, I've learned little by little researching on my own, practicing, watching videos, watching artists draw, collecting many references, reading tutorials, etc. I have learned on my own, what many people call being a self-taught artist, and I still consider myself a newbie in the world of art and all that it means to be an artist or illustrator on the internet.
At the beginning I only drew for hobby, I drew to pass the time, I never took it seriously but little by little I have turned this into a passion.
I studied programming at the university, and currently I work in a telecommunications company, but although I also like programming and computer science, drawing is another level, and every day I want to be able to dedicate myself to this, no longer at the hobby level, but at the professional level, I would really like to work as an illustrator and character designer.
Sadly, due to my country's problems, I can't leave my job as a programmer, and basically my salary is shit... surely you have already heard the economic problems that my country is going through in the international news :( .
I work from Monday to Friday and basically I can only draw on weekends or when I arrive from work, or if I get up early at 4:00 am and try to draw a couple of hours before going to work.
I say all this, because despite my difficulties, I have been able to publish sketches, practices, lineart, color drawings, gradually improve my skills, draw some request for DA users, do some trade-art with other artists and friends, some personal art, some fanarts, and work with all the people who have trusted my skills and bought me commissions :D .
I'm very, very happy for what I have achieved so far, and I'm very grateful to all who have followed me and followed my work so far.
I would like to be able to draw more, I would like to be faster and I would really like to be able to dedicate myself to this every day, however I can't.
I know that I must work much harder to be able to really become an illustrator and character designer artist on internet, it is one of my goals (another of my goals is to create a comic / manga), and I know that I also need some luck, but I know that if I put a lot of faith in what I do, little by little I'll reach that goal.
However, having a goal also means having a plan to reach that goal, and that is part of what I want to share with you in this journal.
I want to continue drawing and turn this into my work, to achieve that, I plan to keep 3 things that I have done so far, make commissions, make trades, and accept request.
However, I have to add to this my space to work on my own personal art, this means that I must plan very well, because I not only want to make art for other people, I also want to work with my characters, work on my comic and that will take time.
So this is what I plan to do:
About commissions:
I plan to leave them open for the rest of the year, and make offers on some of the types of drawings that I do each month, for example, in November all half-body drawings will be half price.
I have also been recommended to make a document of Terms and Conditions, slightly improve the list of commissions that is a bit difficult to understand or read, and start making some YCH commissions, I'll be working on offering all this in the coming weeks.
About request:
As you know, accepting request is something that is complicated for me right now, but I don't plan to stop doing it either, the difference is that now the requests will be a little more controlled, the requests will be linearts or flat grayscale but not in color since traditional coloring costs me a lot of time, and they will not have priority if I have pending commissions. I planned to work the requests more in DA and FA than in my other social media accounts (Twitter and Instagram).
About trades:
I'll not stop accepting trades, however, like the requests, they will be a little more controlled, and I'll not accept trades if at that time I have too many pending drawings, I treat them as commissions so they will also have more priority than the requests.
About NSFW art:
Many have asked me for private messages and notes that if I'll accept in the future draw and make commissions with NSFW content.
Is a difficult decision that I'll take in the future, yes, I would really like to practice some NSFW art in the future, I respect NSFW art a lot, I don't see it as disgusting or perverted as many people and artists treat this type of work, sex is something very normal and human, in fact I follow and admire a lot the talent of many artists who dedicate themselves completely or occasionally to NSFW art.
But I also have to plan well what I'll do if in the future I accept to work with this type of content, most likely if I do it I'll create an account dedicated exclusively to that, anyway, I'll let you know when I decide to do this kind of art.
About raffles and giveaway drawings:
As you know recently I opened my twitter account, and to promote what I do there, I opened a raffle to select two winners, the raffle ended recently and I'm already finishing delivering the prizes of that raffle to the winners.
I'm thinking of making the raffles exclusively for twitter and maybe instagram and I'll open them every time I achieve goals like for example, every time I get 50 new followers on that platform, or from time to time, from what I have found out is what the vast majority of artists on twitter do to make themselves known on the platform, and to make myself known is one of the things I should do if I want to work as an illustrator and character designer on internet.
I may do raffles and giveaway drawings on other platforms, but in general twitter and maybe instagram will be the places where I make more raffles.
More participation in DeviantArt and FA:
As you know, I have been a little more active on twitter and instagram, since they are platforms where I interact a little more with the community, however in FA and DA I almost exclusively limit myself to uploading drawings and wip, and I want to change that.
That is why I plan to post more journals and status with content that I would like to share with you guys, talk about topics related to art, community things and other topics in which I would like to interact much more with you such as asking questions, answering questions, sharing opinions, all that and more.
Digital Art? Live streaming?
This is another thing that I would like to be able to do in the future, but first I need to buy a good computer, my current computer is very old, it is what I can afford for now, so I hope to have some luck with the commissions and be able to raise enough money, in order to buy a slightly decent computer.
Once I managed to buy a good computer, then the part of buying a drawing board would come, and everything that implies once I bought it, learn how to use the device, see tutorials, study and practice a lot with the editing programs, and from there I could already offer both traditional and digital drawings, I would love to reach that goal :D.
On live streaming, it would also depend a lot on everything I mentioned before, and I think it's a much farther goal to reach, but if I get the chance and if the internet I have is decent, I would think about it, but right now that's impossible, because I don't have a good pc, or cameras, and most importantly, the internet in Venezuela is a joke ... :(
Ko-fi? Patreon?
I know very well that Ko-fi is a good alternative to help me survive as an artist on internet, and they have recommended it to me a lot, however I still can't open an account with Ko-fi, because I have problems with my Paypal account, I hope to solve the problem soon, but I think I'll be with the problem for a couple of months, I have no problems charging money from commissions, but mostly because I'm using a paypal provided by a family member, once I can safely control a personal paypal account, I can work with Ko-fi and I'll greatly appreciate any donations you can give me on that platform.
About patreon, I really don't want to think about it yet, first because I'm still a nobody, my art is very little seen for now and I prefer to make myself known a little more, and maybe in the future, I managed to open a patreon.
About my personal art and my comic?
As I said before, I want to work and dedicate myself to drawing for other people on the internet, but I also want to dedicate my art to my oc and things that I plan for my comic together with a friend of mine.
Little by little I'll be publishing new drawings of my characters and those of my friend, these characters will be in the comic we are developing, for now I can not give more information because we are still planning things, history, scenarios, characters, plots, designs, and It is still a whole cluster of ideas that are being developed.
In addition our comic has a lot of ambition, we want to develop a long-lasting comic, our inspiration for this work is One Piece by Eichiro Oda, so we have a lot of work.
About Inktober 2019?
You may not know it, but I'll try for the first time to participate in this inktober of 2019 that starts tomorrow and I'll strive to survive the 31 days. I'll be using the official Inktober list, and I'm already planning what to draw on each day, I'll try as much as possible to use a somewhat simpler style that I usually use, something like a cartoon style.
All the drawings will be in pencil and without color, maybe in grayscale and I'll try to draw many of my characters in some of the days, if I can't draw something, I may try to create something new and even new characters can be born in this challenge, I'm anxious and scared at the same time, I hope I can survive the inktober.
I'll try to publish each drawing daily according to the day and the word of the inktober list.
Also as an extra challenge, I'll not close the commissions, so I'll accept commissions during the month of the event, however I'll work them somewhat slower because I want to keep the focus on the challenge.
I hope to greatly improve my skills as a traditional artist this month.
And with this ends the journal.
If you got here, thank you very much for reading!
Without more to say, all this is what I plan to do in the future with my art, again, thank you very much to all! :D greetings and have a good day!
Bye!

Sorry for the inactivity...
Posted 6 years agoSorry guys, I haven't uploaded new drawings, but I have to dedicate some time to my job as a programmer.
I would have liked to be able to dedicate more time to drawing these last days, but I have not been able to, the little free time that I have in these last days makes it difficult for me to draw something :(
I had planned to open the commissions at the beginning of the month of April, but I have postponed it because I had a couple of pending requests, right now I only have one left to finish, but it will take me some time.
I hope to finish it between this week and the next, and thus be able to start a new round of commissions soon.
Soon I'll also give information about the prices and the number of slots that will be available.
Again sorry for the inactivity, a big hug, greetings! :)

little status
Posted 7 years agoHi guys, this is just a little notice, I've been a bit busy working with 3 commissions, this weekend I will try to upload them little by little as I finish with them, the problem is that these last two weeks and I think next week I will be dealing with a lot of pressure in my job, and well that makes it difficult for me to draw a bit :(
Even so try to take time off and draw when I can, I have some drawings pending, but again it costs me a little, before I drew a couple of hours when I came from job but lately I get very tired from job and the only thing I do is sleep or distract with videogames and youtube.
I know I have to take things slowly but again, I want to improve, and for that I have to work hard.
No more to add, thanks for reading, this status is more to remind you that I'm still here, but somewhat busy :(
Take care!
