Grim Fandango Crotch lever glitch
General | Posted 5 years agohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9-MWkw-U5Y&feature=youtu.be
I'm not good at point and click adventure games but I still find them quite charming. Grim Fandango stumps me pretty often, but I'm enjoying the humor, the art and the charming characters.
I was playing the remastered version on PC when I encountered this amusing bug where instead of grabbing onto the ships controls, Manny operates a lever affixed to Glottis' crotch. Big demon monsters need love too, but maybe Manny should save this romantic encounter for when they're not in a life threatening situation...

Journal Thoughts and Winter Playlist
General | Posted 5 years ago(I'm gonna try to post journals up here more often. I realize there's several folks I'm really only in contact with on here, but I don't usually think to check FA unless I'm posting something, which isn't terribly often art wise. Hopefully this will help get me to spend more time checking messages and such on here. After all, This is really the only art site I post to anymore outside of some social media stuff.
Anyway, onto the other subject of this journal:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?li.....dMgiRdtXz1Frxh
I found another old playlist folder on one of my hard drives, a Winter mix from what looks like around 2010 or so. I decided to recreate it in a youtube playlist.
The general mood for this one is things like: Watching snowfall, playing in the snow with your friends, taking a walk downtown, all bundled up and keeping warm with a cup of hot cocoa. ❤
(Some of the choices on it I found odd myself, but it's interesting to see how one's perspective and tastes change over time, so I tried to keep it true to the original folder)

Just Wear a Fucking Mask! Gah!
General | Posted 5 years agoSo, I didn't think I would need to say this, but saw someone who was on my facebook friends list "heart" some stupid-ass anti-masker image.
Wear a fucking mask when you're in a public areas with other people. Stop being being an asshole. Stop being a child. Stop lionizing stupidity and selfishness. If you want to die a painful death due to intentional lack of medical self-care that's your choice, but you don't get to go around endangering OTHER people's health and not get called out on it.
*taps her podium* this has been an official pissed-off Krissie PSA. Be good people, get plenty of exercise, try to eat well, appreciate your loved ones, and always challenge the stupid assholes who want to go around hurting folks and spreading stupid harmful bullshit.

A Missed Opportunity In Killing Floor 2
General | Posted 5 years agoOne of the biggest gripes that I and many others have with Killing Floor 2 is that tripwire added loot-boxes to the game. Some are free, but most you have to pay for. Sometimes when I look at the cosmetic items available through this gambling paywall - I think back to the PlayStation 2 days. If any of y'all have played the Smackdown vs Raw games on PS2, you might remember the games in-game shop mechanic. You could complete in-game challenges to unlock “smackdown points” (or whatever they were called, it’s been a while) and then use those to unlock cool outfits and accessories for your created wrestlers in the Smackdown Store.
Now, imagine how much more fun the cosmetics system of the game could be this way! It could work the same. You earn your dosh through normal game-play or by doing the special daily/weekly/seasonal challenges. You could use that dosh to buy skins and outfits in the shop. I know my dosh just tends to pile up, being pointless, as I got tired of opening those golden free loot-boxes a long time ago. Random loot is fun in some games, like Mine-craft where the stuff you’ll find in a dungeon treasure chest can all be put to use some way. But in KF2, they just pile up, you get duplicates all the time, and it becomes a chore to break down all the junk and duplicates you don’t want, only to add them to a crafting system which is ALSO randomized, which means you could end up back at square one with some crappy item you don’t even like, after all that tedium. As AVGN would say, “what were they thinking?”
Well, we all know what they were thinking - "loadasmoney!“Because a lot of players are willing to play along with their loot-box mechanic. I know tripwire will probably never change this and that’s a shame, but I wanted to share this idea at-least. I wouldn’t even mind it being a mod for the game using fan-made cosmetics, if that would be possible to code.

Transgender Day of Remembrance 2019
General | Posted 6 years agohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pak97DSl4Cw
the video itself has a content warning, but I'll add another just in case - this video contains clips of hateful transphobic fucks shooting off their mouths at the camera, such as the one shown in the thumbnail.
On Sunday Ashley and I attend a memorial service for the Transgender Day of Remembrance, where Ashley shared Tabitha's story with everyone. I really wish I'd gotten it on video, because it was incredibly moving...
It's hard for me to put into words the fear, pain and anger I feel this month every year from the continued hate and violence around the world.
The feeling of being completely ignored as I talk about the day every year, but continue to hear more about football and thanksgiving than the hundreds of people who were murdered that year just for existing.
The knowledge that I could face a legal battle for even *trying* to adopt a child, but abusive monsters are able to bully their own trans children into committing suicide without intervention from the law or government.
That grown men fantasize - on camera- about murdering transgender people - without consequence.
That hateful, entitled cis women think their paranoid delusions about trans women in the restrooms deserve more respect and credibility than the safety and dignity of other human beings.
The fact that I'd be considered "lucky" that the most I've experienced is online harassment, workplace discriminations, and the occasional man screaming in my face.
I could go on. I guess I am finding the words.
But my anger won't bring these people back to life.
So all I can close with is to please speak up when you see people lying about trans people. When you see hateful, sexist parents abusing their children for acting outside gender norms. Most of all, please let the trans people in your life know what they mean to you. Please check on them. Please make sure they're safe.

It's not a phase
General | Posted 6 years agoWhat seems to almost be some sort of trope nowadays is people being self-deprecating about the clothing, hairstyle and music they used to really enjoy. A common one I see is people talking about their "emo phase". Only, it wasn't a "phase". A phase is a transformative period, and simply enjoying things is not transformative, it's your tastes. It's the things that make you happy.
But maybe you didn't really enjoy it, and what you are really trying to say is that you went through a "flaky teenager trying to impress people by wearing what was considered "cool" phase", which is what many people do when they're still in the process of maturing and developing a sense of identity - if they ever do. THAT is something to be embarrassed about, once you've outgrown the desire to define yourself by others' opinions.
But if it was something you genuinely liked, and you've just shifted your focus on other interests since then, what the hell are you on about? Who are you trying to impress? Assholes who shame people for liking things that aren't popular (or things that are, which is just as bad) ? People who currently enjoy what you used to be really into may become discouraged by your shitty remarks, and then feel like they need to be ashamed of their own joys. Is your self-deprecating joke really worth the risk of trampling over someone else's happiness? Unless it's hurting someone (and that includes socially or psychologically) it's really dickish to yuck people's yums, even your own.

Life Updates August 2019
General | Posted 6 years agoI know I very rarely post journals, so I was thinking to do so again.
There's been a whole fucking lot going on in our family over the past couple weeks. As my wife
AshleyFableBlack said in a recent journal of hers,
"Long story short- I've spent roughly a week living in a hospital waiting room after someone extremely dear to me had a mortal incident and dealing with my own health issues in the fallout since. I am not at full liberty to go into details as yet so, please don't ask."
So, I can't really disclose much any of that as of yet, but I figure I'll try to atleast touch on the more pleasant recent news, as well as...er...mixed news? *winces* This journal will be mostly me nerding about video game stuff.
Car troubles continue...I've had to put my car in the shop three times recently. The most recent time was that the battery I'd purchased apparently had some kind of malfunction and I'm going to get it replaced. Somewhat thankfully, it was still under warranty, so as I understand I should only have to pay for the installation. That still sucks, but at-least it's only likely to be only a few hundred dollars as opposed to potentially 1,000+
I feel good that I've been posting up more art again recently. I think part of what's pushed me is that a good friend of mine really likes my silly video game comics, and they've been through fucking hell recently....
I'm working on getting caught up on My Little Pony FIM. I finished the last season before the movie, so perhaps this weekend I can arrange to make some popcorn and have a movie night with
ashleyfableblack The show continues to be super adorable and make me smile.
I've been on Descent marathon, including the "clones" and "spiritual successors". I'm currently playing through Descent 3, which while occasionally confusing, is a great improvement over the complaints I had with the first two (overly dark environments, awkwardly slow/sluggish turning/aiming with the controller on the PSX titles). I still get lost in the big sprawling levels, but not as badly thanks to improved variety in scenery. If anything I get confused more by the mission objectives at times, but it's not been anything a quick guide look-up couldn't fix. I loved how in one the levels you actually revisit the *very first room* from Descent 1, in a dilapidated state. Pretty awesome. All three games have great music, the third one even has really cool dynamic music, which is more common now but feels pretty revolutionary for a game that age. I've been getting a bit into the mod community for Descent 1 and 2, I played an awesome mod called Vampyro on Descent 2, I highly recommend it. It has it's own intro sequence, and awesome custom artwork and models, it's a revenge story where you play as a vampire in a haunted house! As confusing as the games can be for me at times, I keep coming back because I love the music, visuals and excitement of the games.
I tried playing Forsaken one psx, and I wanted to enjoy it, but the controls were just...ass. I constantly died died because of the tiny fast moving enemies evading my slow and stiff aim. Maybe I'm just spoiled by analog control sticks, or maybe the controls suck on that version of the game. But I recently found out they remade the game on X-bone! So when I can afford it I want to pick that one up, hopefully it controls better and maybe even has some new content too!
Another related game I saw on the X-bone was Overload, which is essentially Descent with shinier graphics. Looks fun to try!
On Starbound, I've started a build project of making Finn and Jake's awesome tree house from adventure time. I was inspired when I saw this person's build of it https://www.reddit.com/r/starbound/.....ort_build_wip/
So I remade their tree house as best I could, for a framework, and I'm now at work remodeling the entire thing to my own liking. I'm having a lot of fun with that project and look forward to showing it off! I am considering expanding into other adventure time builds too, such as recreating Ice Kings lair in 2D.
On Mine-craft, I've been working on my big Joust build project, but I had a rather scary problem recently - my laptop just shut off while playing on my single player world! Thankfully I had made a backup of the world that same day, since suddenly closing Mine-craft has caused chunk errors for me in the past. But still - this worries me, on top of my laptops performance getting worse and worse. I used to be able to run Minecraft with 32x or higher resource packs but it seems every time I do now, it turns into a slideshow. I wish I could afford a new computer, but I have several important things to e saving for right now. So, I just hope it won't happen again...I may have to pay with super low graphics to keep it form overheating my laptop.
Another problem I've had with Mine-craft was mcedit being rendered obsolete by the ocean update. There's a replacement for it in the works by some folks, but I don't when it will be released. I used mcedit a lot and I would really like to be able to access all the cool new ocean and villager content in my established single-player world....so I'm really looking forward to that editor coming out.

The case of the phone call bathroom drone...
General | Posted 7 years agoPublic restrooms can contain many horrors.
Today we will speaking about the "phone call hostage situation"
You're peeing or pooping or trying to pass a kidney stone, and it's all quiet and peaceful, aside from you possibly crying because you're trying to pass a kidney stone...
When suddenly, you hear a phone ring in the stall next to you, and a one-sided phone call begins...and you're on the wrong side.
"yup" "yup" uh-huh" "yup" "yup" "right" uh huh" "yup" "yup" uh-huh" "yup" "yup" "yup" "yup" uh-huh" "yup" "yup" "okay" "yup" "yup" uh-huh" "yup" "yup"
You can't move away yet, you're still pooping! You never eat enough fiber and can't resist the allure of that delicious, warm gooey mac & cheese so every time you go to the bathroom it becomes a chore.
Mintes pass, but they feel like hours. Your skin is crawling, you're resisting the urge to punch the wall next to you and yell "shuuuuuut uuuuuuuuup!!!" Maybe you want to be more polite and use some of the blood coming from your eye sockets to write a note on some toilet paper and pass it over..the note would simply read "Please stop"
But you just endure it.
more time passes....
Finally you are finished pooping! You are free to escape from this droning auditory drivel! You have a renewed appreciate for your freedom to walk away from annoying people! You revel in your empty bladder and undisturbed earholes. Life is beautiful! Take good care of your earholes! Make sure to eat lots of fiber so you don't hurt your asshole when you're pooping! and always carry a pair of earbuds so you can listen to some tunes if you're stuck on the crapper and you end up having a "very fun bathroom neighbor"...

CARS CARS CARS CARS!!!!
General | Posted 7 years ago*burp* Well, I haven't updated my journal in a while, or posted anything, so...I wanted to check in on here for a bit.
Lately I've been working on getting my newest car ready to run, a Toyota Prius...thing. First I ordered a new hybrid battery for it, a big-ass green beast of a battery, and a family friend (the fellow who sold me the car itself for just 5 bucks because he's an awesome sweetheart!) helped install it. But then I still couldn't get it to start so it ended up sitting for a while...but more recently
Ahriman got the battery charged up for me again, and the one tire that went flat inflated, so theen I had to take it up to Big-0s. Unfortunately this is where things started getting pricey (1000 dollar battery beast aside)...got the tires fixed only to find out the brakes and some filter thingy needed fixing two, so got those worked on during the next couple days, on the second day the cars smaller battery died in the parking lot, so they had to jump it just to get it inside, and then I had to get that thing replaced too...and driving it today, I encountered a black screen on the dash board, and found out I have to sometimes do a "hard shut down" to get the car to turn off..so I'll need to get that fixed next.
So, I've had my hands pretty full with the car lately, to say the least. It's a really interesting machine though, first car I've ever driven that has a power button, a touchscreen computer thing and a "master blaster" battery team in the backseat...and even with all the repairs I'm needing to, it's very nice to have my own car again, because it gives me more freedom to go do stuff during weekdays, and it will let my sweetie skunk
AshleyFableBlack get her "squishies" at Sonic in the mornings again. She loves those things *chuckles*
Other than that I've been playing a lot of Minecraft, working on a map based on the Joust games, the first of which I used to have a lot of fun playing on Atari as a small child.
I'd been storing an old bed in my room after Ashley bought me a new futon for us, and I was saving the old bed for a friend who recently finally picked it up, and my bedroom feels so big again!!
Getting over a sickness too, which has had me feeling down at certain points, due to toning down kissing and scrompins out of concern for giving my wife anymore germs than she's already gotten. Looking forward to us all feeling better..and ants keep crawling across my desk!! WHY??!!!!
-scratches her head - I guess that's most of what's new with me, there's work stuff too, but work's annoying and I don't feel like typing about it. *huffs*
Hoooow are you all doing, you dear lovely fluffles and ruffles of fun furry frenzy....frenzies...um....I couldn't think of a good noun to end that on....
*clears her throat*
How are you all doing this evening?

-scratches her head - I guess that's most of what's new with me, there's work stuff too, but work's annoying and I don't feel like typing about it. *huffs*
Hoooow are you all doing, you dear lovely fluffles and ruffles of fun furry frenzy....frenzies...um....I couldn't think of a good noun to end that on....
*clears her throat*
How are you all doing this evening?
Transgender Day of Remembrance 2018
General | Posted 7 years agohttps://twitter.com/HillaryClinton/.....04835881975809
The next time any of you scumfucks want to tell me Hillary would be just as bad as trump, I don't see him saying a goddamn thing about the Transgender Day of Remembrance, but instead he's continued to attack my loved ones and I since day one of his presidency.
Literally- day one - where he attacked trans children by stripping them of legal protections in schools. I tend to be fucking furious around this time of year, because almost nobody acknowledges the day of remembrance, but can't wait for turkey and black Friday deals, oh boy!
Trans people are not your punching bags. We aren't "traps" or a fetish. We are human beings! It is not okay okay to attack trans people just because you're a frail, pathetic little fuck who can't handle the fact that we exist!
...Please take the time to read over the list of this years victims. https://tdor.info/
There are also memorial events in many places today that you can attend, please attend to show your support, as visibility is very important.
The least we can do is honor their memory together - and please, PLEASE speak up and be active whenever you encounter transphobia. Don't make excuses. Don't let it be normalized. TRANSPHOBIA KILLS.

General | Posted 7 years ago(warning! Adventure Time spoilers ahead)
A few nights ago I got to watch series finale of Adventure Time with my family, and it was, and IS, one of my favorite cartoons ever, hands down. I remember when it was still pretty new I was neutral to it, Cartoon Network had a habit of making dumb ads that only showed the wacky hi-jinks or catch phrases from its cartoons, and I hadn’t had time to see many episodes. I couldn’t remember the characters names so I called them “Adventure boy and spaghetti dog”. But eventually I started watching episodes when they were on (and around the same time, I was other at the Brenards house (a family I was friends with as a kid/teen), watching Brandon play the adorable “Jumping Finn” game), I remember the first ones that made me start to adore the character of Finn were “Tree Trunks” and “The Jiggler”. It was incredibly endearing and relatable to see him worry, sometimes even freak out, at the thought of not being able to protect or take good care of someone else. Then with “Holly Jolly Secrets” the show took an even more serious and emotional turn, seeing the sad story of The Ice King. The show just kept getting better from there, a roller coaster of cuteness, beautiful visuals, lovable and hilarious characters, wonderful music, moments both heartwarming and heartbreaking, philosophical musings, and of course an increasingly progressive attitude on gender and lgbt themes…
After I moved away my little sister sent me a little printed-out image of Finn the human and she wrote on the back “I know you love Finn, he is very nice like you”. Finn is indeed a very special character to me, that I’ve been growing up with for the last 8 years.
I admire his passion about making life a big adventure, always laughing and having fun with everything.
I admire his hero heart, bravely standing up to evil and bullies, and helping those in need.
and I can sympathize with some of his pain…I may have never accidentally killed a cursed plant version of myself, but I have done things that were very selfish and hurtful, things I feel so bad about I have to keep them in a “vault” just to function day-to-day and be able to take care of the family and friends that I’m fortunate enough to have now..
The scenes where Finn and Flame Princess are talking in the episode “Bun Bun” are a great example of how Finn grows up and accepts responsibility for his past actions as the series progresses.
I can’t give enough thanks to Pendleton Ward, Rebecca Sugar, and the whole rest of the Adventure Time crew for bringing this wonderful cartoon to life and brightening my world with it. Most Adventure time episodes can get me feeling very serene and calm, it’s like a beautiful dream world. I’ve heard that the comics will continue the story of everyone, so now I really want to start collecting those. I haven’t seriously committed to collecting any long-running comic series I collected Sonic comics as a teen, and perhaps now would be a good time to start doing so again.

The Satanic Temple Rally in Little Rock Arkansas
General | Posted 7 years agoBeen a while since I've posted a journal, and I've had a really nice experience recently, on the 16th my family and I were able to able to attend a rally for religious liberty by The Satanic Temple at the Arkansas State capitol.
In short, the state senator Rapert erected a Ten Commandments monument on government property, which is a big no-no as per the first amendment and separation of church and state. So, to make a point for religious equality, The Satanic Temple sought to install it's own Baphomet monument, only for sneaky and underhanded lawmakers to quickly throw together an excuse for denying the statue. I'm not very good at legal jargon, but you can get more details from one of the news articles I found here:
https://www.usnews.com/news/best-st.....kansas-capitol
So thus, the Rally was staged as a means of calling Rapert out on his blatant discrimination, and raising awareness of the issue.
It was a very empowering experience and I met a lot of wonderful people! There were many speakers including two Christian ones and Mr. Lucien Greaves himself! Even the Templar Knights were there, which i didn't know were still around until that moment. Lots of water was passed around to help everyone keep hydrated.
There were a lot of Christian counter-protesters, whom were either missing the point of the rally or - as I remember how their worldview works - felt threatened because in their reality the devil is real and somehow a threat.. However, most of them were civil and did not get physical or in any of our faces, except for one man who interrupted one of the Christian speakers to verbally harass him. The speaker politely allowed him to speak his piece before the man was led away by police officers.
The KKK was also counter-protesting us, but in much smaller numbers. A group of three old racist bastards, just standing around with flags behind us.
It was very hot out - my wife and I helped save one man who was becoming very ill from the heat, and I myself had to step into the shade at one point, feeling very sick from the heat, at which point a kind man came over to check on me and give me a drink to help me stay hydrated. I got really sunburned because I was dumb and didn't put on sunscreen or a hat *chuckles* But i seem to be healing up pretty okay.
I feel really proud to have been a part of the event and to have helped fund Baphomets transportation. I've been rather busy since trying to correct people's misconceptions about the statue, Satanism and The Satanic Temple when I encounter them online, and keeping an eye on any terrorist threats made (and there definitely have been threats of both murder and vandalism). Also been having a good time interacting online with all the new friends i made.

*puts on a big hat* KrissieFox wants YOU for Pride Month!
General | Posted 7 years agoyou know...I just need to get something off my chest, before i get into the main point of this journal...
Can I just offer a great, big juicy fuck you to the "there are only 2 genders crowd"? Yes? Thank you. Human sexual characteristics are much more varied than the average jackass seems to realize, there aren't just XX and XY chromosomes for us, there's plenty more variations, human hermaphrpoditism/intersex conditions are a real thing, and this is all on top of the fact that gender is a concept, a social idea, separate from biological sex conditions, and we as a species could just as well have NO genders as we could have 50, if we wanted...My non-binary and agender friend aren't fucking bothering anyone, they're just doin' their thing, being sweethearts, and if respectfully referring to someone as "they/them" is some huge issue for you, then sod off, you lazy selfish bastard. *huffs* Their gender identity isn't an attack on your own. Next you're gonna tell me that gay people having the same rights as everyone else means straight people are "oppressed" ...oh wait...
Okay, now on to the main point:
I'm planning a picture involving several lovely folks, thus far including
Ahriman
Dratis
AshleyFableBlack
Sanita_Squirrel
Letrune
Deaths_Delusion ...and then this dork
KrissieFox
The idea was to have pairings of people holding up various pride flags, respectively a bisexual flag, transgender flag, pansexual flag, and a non-binary flag. But that last one is where I've hit a snag...
Finally getting to the point of this journal, I'm looking for a second non-binary - in real life, not just a character- fur to feature in the image, paired with
Deaths_Delusion to hold a pride flag together . I know many of my watchers fall within the lgbt spectrum, but being the busy, unfocused, and frustratingly shy and awkward thing I am, I haven't gotten to know many of you as well as I'd like, some of y'all are very sweet and interesting folks..so I wanted to put this offer out here for you lovely folks.

General | Posted 8 years agoHello, all you fine fluffy fuzzbutts! I hope you've all been doing well, lately. I've been in a bit of a pickle lately transportation wise, with my new cars transmission having burned out, meaning I am now the proud owner of not one, but two, busted automobiles. I'm looking to sell of one of them, a Ford Taurus, for salvage, but the local scrapyards only offer me a measly 100 dollars for it. I've noticed that car aficionados sometimes intersect with the furry fandom, so i thought here might be a good place to ask for any tips or pointers.

Pipes, ducks and my gay agenda
General | Posted 9 years agoEgads, I neglected my journal! i meant to write one earlier this month about the exciting thing I got to do - i joined in my first protest march with the Arkansas water guardians, a march against trump, bigotry, access pipeline here in Arkansas and various other things.
It was a rush to get there since it as IMMEDIATELY after I got off work, but I thankfully arrived before the march began. I wanted to make a sign, but didn't have time. It was very heartwarming and invigorating to be in a crowd of brave, compassionate people, from all different backgrounds and walks of life. I had initially been invited by a friend of mine, but I couldn't spot her anywhere at first (more on that later) so I found a fellow with a big rainbow cape and decided to stick with him and his family. Once the march started, he and I started handing out flyers for a benefit dinner (which wound up getting cancelled, apparently some bad stuff went down..) but got so caught up in it we wound up getting left behind and a little lost. We ran into some really cool people, as well as one guy who seemed to shout an insult at us, but then ran away before we could see who it was. Getting lost gave the two of us the time to get to know each other and become friends. When we finally reconnected with the group, the march had reached its end and there were people speaking. his mom was very relieved, as she had been worried about his safety when we got lost.
There were many different speakers, a few very adorable and sweet children, a woman from the black lives matter movement, a teacher, and a banjo-strumming' singer dude (he was awesome). At this point it turned out my friend HAD showed up, but with my face-memorization problems (I'd only been around her once before), I ended up being too worried to approach and say hi, in case it was someone else. Then I found out later it was her, and felt very silly, but thankfully she was understanding.
After the speeches and songs, we disbanded a bit and I headed toward the library, as my new friend had to go home. I got to chat with some more ladies form the group there, while enjoying the tasty library food that I hadn't had in a long time (it was my first time in the library since around 2014 or 2015).
---
In other news, I saw a short youtube cartoon series that I quite enjoyed and wanted to share it with my followers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laBWc39rXF4 It's about a depressed duck guy in a junky old apartment building trying to deal with his issues, his weird neighbors, and eventually his new relationship. I don't want to give too much away about it, so I'll just say episode 3 scared me and then episode 4 made me feel better with how adorable it was.
In other good news, I recently got myself a weekly planner book, which I dubbed my "gay agenda" :D Through the combination of self-discipline and the book I've been feeling more confident and focused the last few days, setting time aside from each day to work on specific projects, errands and hobbies. I've always had a problem with wanting to do and try EVERYTHING - all the time - which has been very stressful and overstimulating.
sorry if any of this is rambly or confusing...I didn't sleep well last night and I've been in a haze most of the evening..
Rainbow Heart Bears!
General | Posted 9 years agoSo, lately I've been working on a music playlist/collection of tv show themes, and unsurprisingly, most of it is cartoons *chuckles*
I stumbled across this little gem and it was WAY too adorable not to share..Admittedly i don't know much about care bears, I don't think I ever got to see it growing up -. But if those 2 bears aren't a lesbian couple(you'll know them when you see them), they should be. :D

Bloop bloop doo be adoobie doop!
General | Posted 9 years agoI had an eventful day on Thursday and I wanna type words about it! To keep beach city weeeiiird! *chugs more coke*
Well, actually the first couple things were rather serious. -sighs softly- can't really go into too much detail but I discovered some rather disturbing books in a store that was supposed to have inclusive policies for LGBT people and all religions. "Is the end? Signs of God's providence in a disturbing new world" by dr. david jeremiah sported a rather ominous looking cover that rather concerned me, so I took a look and it was full of horrid remarks about LGBT people. Homosexuality was branded a 'perversion[ and 'debauchery., same sex marriage 'an act of depravity, transgender women as 'men wanting to use women's showers and restrooms'. The second book, 'The three heavens' by john hagee was more of the same, only taking aim more at wiccans and satanists, talking about them as if they were some sort of infestation, seemingly aghast at the concept of other religions having the same rights as christianity.
That's some pretty fucked up shit. Freedom of speech is great, and I encourage using those freedoms to speak up against this hate propaganda being softly labeled as "inspirational christian literature". These scumbags have the right to write and publish their shitty rags, but any store willing to carry such material...weeell, it doesn't bode well for their image. It's a pretty big indication of 'money is more important than doing the right thing'.
After leaving the store, I encountered a man in the parking lot, holding a sign asking for money. I spoke with him for a while and learned that he is traveling across the country to join in the Dakota pipeline protests. I hadn't known much about it at the time, but it sounded very admirable, especially with him seeming to have so little money but still wanting to make a difference. I later learned that the pipelines are not only across sacred lands of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe but also the process involves 'fracking' which apparently does some pretty fucked up stuff to the environment, like making water ignitable and increasing earthquake activity. I've heard Trump supports the pipeline which is troubling...(but not surprising)
A bit later I joined a coworker who was treating me to some beauty salon place. It turned out to be quite pleasant. I was worried it would be full of stereotypically superficial beauticians, but the ladies were all very nice and cool. My beautician even had a scar on her arm that she showed me, form a friendly fire incident during her time in the military. Pretty bad-ass, hehe. Since I have all the physical grace of a rabid, psychotic hampster on fire, I've never been very good at makeup and such. I didn't even know what half the stuff on the menu really meant (though the prices were all great!). but I went with an eyebrow waxing, and that went well. I've seen the youtube videos where men try waxing, and they whined sooo much...it was no problem for me, so now those guys kinda look like big babies to me, hehe. It was the tweezing that hurt more, really. I wanted to try getting some nail art done in a gay pride or spooky halloween style, but unfortunately they were closing soon. Maybe another time.
Lastly, I got home and started an xbox 360 minecraft map with
RAblackpaws We got a lot done on our first day and had lots of fun :) We got ourselves a wheat and melon farm set up, as well as a sheep and cow pen. We made a little cobblestone starter shelter with a cool bunk bed and skylight. Shi did lots of mining and got a nether portal set up for us, which we've yet to peek into. We also found a jungl;e temple within sprinting distance of our home, and a few half-generated villages, including a weird one that spawned inside a ravine! To top it all off, we found the stronghold right under our house XD We then got started on making a 'zombie beach party' and I'm thinking of also making a treehouse in the nearby jungle.
-Thus concludes my ramblings for the day! *bows* You fuzzies all take care, stay safe, warm and be kind to one another. <3

Groovy art morning rambles
General | Posted 9 years agoOh man, this morning I went off to get some more copic markers at the art shop - but encountered a fund raiser yard sale along the way. Everyone was really nice and they had yummy food and drinks, too. I found a duck Dynasty shirt that I picked up and was planning to burn, which led to a nice conversation about lgbt issues. Now I'm wondering though, if I wanna burn it or "redecorate" it, hehehe. I'm thinkin' rainbows...
I feel hyper right now, if it isn't obvious. *bounces around*
and oh hey! remember when meme was used more to refer to those silly quiz thingies people would do in their journals and tag folks with? I did one of those recently, after thinking "Ya know, it's cheesy but fun, quit being a stupid dweeb, Krissie, and have fun!" so I did...the thing! and filled it out. well, i filled it out again, because I was kinda tired last night and wanted tot ouch it up a bit. And the spacing was all messed up! ramble ramble/
i like these quiz/meme things because in addition to just being fun to fill out, I think they make for some decent introspection material and can be good conversation starters, too. :3

Hotline Miami toys Kickstarter!
General | Posted 9 years agohttps://www.kickstarter.com/project.....ion-figure-set
Every kickstarter I've supported and tried to promote has failed...yay! But I'll try ...AGAIN. Who knows..
Hotline Miami is a pretty awesome game. Unfortunately I've been stuck on the sequel because of a bug on the ps3 version, I'm on this level that freezes up when I try to play as Alex and Ash, who work soo well for the level! POOP! I could possibly beat it with another character but it's a lot harder.
So, in short, I recommend the games if you like challenging, ultra-violent psychedelic video games, but maaaybe not the ps3 version pf Hotline Miami 2..*grumbles*
In other news, I've been really into Steven Universe and Rick and Morty lately! I figure as long as I'm rambling about a cool video game I'll also ramble about some cartoons because it's fun!
Steven Universe is so just friggin' adorable as hell, heartwarming, soothing to the eyes, very progressive and lgbt inclusive, and full of good allegories (my girlfriend taught me that word! she's smart! *beams*) for many adult themes - adult meaning ACTUAL adult issues like life and love and death and sexuality, and all their complexities..
Rick and Morty is a bit different.. *chuckles* VERY vulgar (which fits my sense of humor quite well *grins*) with really fun characters. Really colorful visuals and very creative alien/creature designs. A really nice balance of comedy, drama and good character development. Rick and Morty themselves, I find lovable as hell. If you're not squeamish on the content, I really recommend this little gem as well..
