TOS Update
Posted 2 years agojust updated my TOS. Unfortunately since it's come to my attention that there is a possibility of some people using commissioned sketches to feed it to AI generators to finish it instead of paying the artist to, payment will be upfront before work begins and I have added that commissioned artwork is not to be used for AI generation or NFTs. Unfortunately the way times are now, artists have to take these kinds of precautions and thanks for understanding^^

Updated Commission TOS, Prices and Examples
Posted 3 years agoHi all, so I deleted my old commission info journal from 2011 cuz it was cluttered with hidden comments from a troll I had problems with at the time and it was ugly looking and I copy and pasted all the info into a new journal which can be found in my journal Header. Also updated the TOS a little and have updated a bunch of the examples. That part is still in progress but I feel good that there's so many updated examples now. I have also raised my prices, a thing I hadn't done in years. Take a look and note me if you're interested in anything.

Commission Guidelines

Payments via Paypal only please.
All items operate on full payment being made before work begins.
All prices based on one character drawings.
Additional characters cost extra depending on the detail of the commission. Fully shaded characters are $20 each.
Commissions less than $5 don't get approval sketches or changes made. Commissions $5 and above
do get approval sketches and changes are allowed to be made to a certain extent. A large pile of changes or a complete overhaul costs $5 extra from the get-go and does not get a free round due to the amount of time that involves. Small changes can be made for free once though. Small changes cost $1 each after the first free round of changes.
If you need your commission done by a certain deadline and there are commissions ahead of you that don't have to be done by a certain deadline, the cost is $2 per person skipped to be put first in line so that your piece will be done by that date. Also commissions are for your own personal use. If they are to be used commercially, royalties will need to be discussed. I reserve the right to post the completed commission to my galleries which will be the watermarked version. If you wish to keep it private, there will be an additional fee of $5.
In most cases, commissioners can get a high res version and non-watermarked version
of their commission. Please make sure if you repost it that you upload the
watermarked version, however, and link back to the original from my gallery.
Please note that I do not do any nude, sexual, or fetish-related commissions. I also don't draw commissions of copyrighted characters or trademarked products or logos such as Pepsi or Nike. Please do not ask me to do art based upon another artist's. I will not copy another artist's pose or idea or style. Please do not ask me to draw in a style that is not normally seen in my gallery. I also do not draw armor or anything mechanical. Also since I have less time for commissions now, I may refuse to draw a character that has extra body parts beyond what that sort of creature would normally have or if it has too many in general or I may refuse to draw a character that has a hundred million markings and piercings/other accessories
When giving me your refs please make sure they are G rated or at least send me
a censored copy.
Please only contact me about a commission if you really are interested in one. If you change your mind later, do not leave me in the dark. Let me know that you have changed your mind. I won't bite. With that said, if you are interested in a commission, send me a note.
Until the pandemic is over or under control, traditional commissions are not able to be mailed but the highest res copy possible can be emailed to you.

Surgery
Posted 8 years agoHad surgery today to get my tubes tied. It went well but I am in a lot of pain so have been spending today resting and watching TV in bed while Mael has been the amazing husband he is by taking the best care of me.

Posted 8 years agoHello everyone, my darling husband Maelstrom Vortex for the past few weeks has been streaming his gameplay on Twitch. Usually he does Kerbals or City Skylines and his wonderfully deep voice comes out of a gray dragon down in the corner that looks a whole lot like Maelstrom. Commissions for Lion King stuff
Posted 14 years agoSubway and Walmart both have cool Lion King things but I'm almost up on my monthly fun budget which is sad so I am taking commissions for the $7 items on my commissions list. They are quick fun things that can be worked on between my regular work schedule easily. Since it's for Lion King stuff, I would like to do mainly Lion King styled characters but any characters are fine as long as they're not super complicated with a bajillion markings and extra limbs (one pair of wings is fine), accessories, etc. So here is what you can pick from:

Updates on the Life of a Koudo

zabercat lead, here's what's been going on lately.
In June, I started at Walmart. Yeah yeah I know. Retail. However, I'm making more money than I ever have and am making friends. I was getting quite lonely in this area because I don't know how to meet people.
Earlier this month or late June, Mael's position at his job became full time which means even more money and health insurance for us, yay.
July 3 was a year since we were given our cat Nightfury.
My mom, grandmother, younger sister and little brother came to visit this past Tuesday and Wednesday which was really nice. I hadn't seen them since March. x_x We visited with each other a lot. On Tuesday they brought KFC for lunch and my mom brought me a belated birthday turtle cake. On Wednesday, more visiting was done and we had lunch at Giovanni's.
Yesterday, I showed my artwork to the guy in charge of cake decorating at Walmart and he immediately told me to come back and started having me practice making roses out of icing and he thinks I could do the job. So....instead of stocking stuff, I may have an art related job and be a cake decorator soon. My sister in law owns her own cake shop and is a talented cake sculptor. This guy is the one who trained her when she first started cake decorating.
I also have had to save betta fish two days in a row. First, people fed all the fish we had and not only that, some genius put one fish in with another and they obviously fought because a gorgeous black and blue betta had bits of fin lying on the bottom of his container. Fortunately a coworker was able to change out the water and he seemed fine yesterday. Then.......yesterday I found someone had fed one of our fish /again/ and the water was dirty looking and a manager thought he didn't look good. So the same coworker and I took him to the back and she changed the water and then I handled a fish for the first time and transferred him into the water-filled foam cup while the water in his dirty container was changed. He seemed more lively when he was put back into the container after it had clean water in it so I'm hoping he makes it. Can't believe people have the gall to treat these fish the way they do. People should never feed fish that aren't their own. They have a certain amount of times that they can be fed and there's no knowing if they're going over the limit. Just makes me mad the way people fool around with the lives of living things like that.

Commissions Closed
Posted 14 years agoWalmart is taking up much of my time and I'm too tired to even draw for myself when I get home from there so commissions are closed or very limited. If I take any at all, it'll be for small things like icons and sketches that will be one-shots with no changes made unless the character is way off but that won't be until I update my price list.
