Why yes I am yet another one celebrating five years at FA and for me that is today.^^ You guys have seen me through a lot since my time being here: a break-up, finding love again, the persona change from kitsune to dragon, my and Mael's engagement, our marriage, the death of my guinea pig Vixen, getting a baby guinea pig named Tigress and that little life being called away a mere month later and the arrival of a tuxedo kitten named Nightfury into my and Mael's life and lastly Mael finding himself his dream job just last week. Yes it's been a lot over the last five years.

I've met some really wonderful people here and I really appreciate all the people who have watched, commented or faved my artwork over the past five years as well. Really means a lot to me that there are people who like my artwork. Hasn't been all sunshine and roses here but it wouldn't be that way anywhere would it. Overall though, I think the experience here has been a nice one and I definitely see myself celebrating my 10 year anniversary here in 2015. Keep being awesome.

Just made a few changes in my Commission Info journal. Added a couple of items to it: head badges and door badges. Also tablet sketches are $5 right now. After the holidays, they will be raised to their final price of $10. To those currently waiting on their commissions, I have not forgotten about you and will have them to you soon as I can especially those with deadlines. You can look at my Commission List journal to keep updated on my progress on them and get an estimate on how long it'll be until I get to yours.

Mael and I arrived home from our trip early this evening. It was very nice seeing my family again and it was a pleasant trip even if the weather decidedly wasn't the first two days of it. Pretty beat tonight but tomorrow I will be ready to work on commissions again. :)

Edit: A family emergency happened and I still have a lot to do to prepare for the trip on top of that. Therefore, there might be a delay in the sketches. If I have to though, I'll take my tablet with me and do them when I have a spare moment while we're gone. I think it'd be best if I not take anymore though until we get back this weekend.

Mael and I will be gone from Tuesday through Friday. While I will be getting some net time everyday while we're gone, it will not be as much. While I will be able to take and organize new commission orders, I will not be able to start work on them til Saturday when we're back.

Please note that I try to work in in order of who is listed on my commission list. If I do not get a reply about a commission sketch from Person A within 6 hours though, to keep the line moving along, I will start working on Person B's commission. If Person A still hasn't replied with what changes they need to their sketch or to given the go ahead and paid me within 24 hours, Person B takes priority especially if they have paid first. If Person B has paid first, Person B becomes first in line and I will continue Person A's commission after Person B's is done if Person A is ready then. Even if Person A still isn't ready, the commission is still on, I'll just keep moving the line along until they are ready.

I'd like to personally thank whoever got the Hide Comments feature put in place. A huge grievance I had with this site was that there was no way to defend ourselves against offensive comments on submissions and we had to wait for a staff member to get around to answering trouble tickets which took forever and in the meantime we had to deal with the ugly blights in our comments section on pictures staying put. Thank you for giving us the ability to handle things ourselves in that manner.

Today is my and  vortex79 three year wedding anniversary. We plan on pizza and a movie tonight. <3 Maelstrom is the sweetest, most loving, handsome, supportive dragonman on the planet and I'm so happy I get to spend my life with him. Yesterday I had an interview at the hospital and when I came out from taking the tests, Mael was rounding the corner with a pair of Cokes and a bag of cheeseburgers. That was just so sweet of him to go ahead and do that. Is he the awesomest or what? He's also really great at making me feel special and loved and encourages me in everything I endeavor to do whether it be a piece of artwork or going to a job interview. I have no doubt that in the future, I'll be typing up a 30th anniversary journal. I love you Maelstrom Vortex.

Also. Anniversary trades. Thank you all for being so awesome and not only getting your halves done on time but getting them done early at that. I feel bad for having outstanding halves since I was holding myself to the September 29 deadline too, but I haven't forgotten about them. I overworked my hand yesterday during the typing test and then drawing didn't help matters since I got sharp pains shooting through my hand and wrist afterwards. If it happens again, I'll have to take Mael's advice and just rest it today (which will mean no anniversary pic of us either, bleh).

After being stolen from twice in two weeks, I'm going to start watermarking my images.  electrocat was awesome enough to put one together for me since PSP's way of doing it is not that great. Wanted to give people the heads-up so that my sudden watermark use wouldn't catch anybody offguard. I know it's always unfortunate when an artist feels they have to use one since they have to be in the way a bit and it seems it's my turn to feel that way. =p

 zabercat is currently taking very cheap commissions for wonderfully vibrant and colorful artwork that has a cute toony style. You can get a full color picture of a quadruped character for only $5. How cool is that? Here's her journal for details:

Well I don't need to continue the guinea pig fund now. Know why? Yesterday Mael's grandpa brought over this beautiful kitten for us to take care of for at least a week. The poor thing was being consistently terrorized by a German Shepherd. His grandpa said if we still want her after the week is up, we can keep her. So far it is looking like we are going to keep her. She has not set off Mael's allergies, took to her litterbox very quickly and is the most affectionate pet either of us has had. Seriously. I thought my guinea pigs were affectionate and they were incredibly so; this kitten is even more affectionate than they were and Mael says she's more affectionate than any other cat he's had and he's had a lot of em over the years.

She's black with white hind paws, white toes on the front paws and a white diamond on the chest with just a strip of white running down her belly and she has a little white on her muzzle that leads into a thin stripe on the bridge of her nose. We've decided to name her Nightfury. Funny thing is, just the night before I had said to Mael that the next black animal we got, we should name it Nightfury and the very next day, we get a black and white kitten.

Nightfury is very energetic and has proven to be a whirlwind, getting herself into all kinds of funny poses. She's also constantly rubbing against us and wanting to be petted and has already taken lengthy naps on me.

So looks like we have ourselves a kitten. Yay.^^ I'll be drawing and posting a portrait of her soon as I can.

 champford really needs some help. He had to take his dog in for an emergency vet visit and needs help with affording the surgery which could be over $1,000. He can't take commissions since he already took on too many so he could afford rent but if you could toss a couple bucks his way, that'd be awesome. If not, maybe spread the word around and send somebody his way who can help financially and of course prayer always helps too. I've seen it work miracles myself before. I've been 10 months without any sort of pet in my house since my guinea pigs died in August and September and I'm tired of waiting. I want something fluffy and small to pour my love into again. Today is my birthday and I am now 26.^^ Today is  zabercat birthday as well so with her a happy birthday also.^^

 zabercat and I both have our birthday coming up on Tuesday, June 8.^^ I'll be turning 26 this year. Time to call up nursing homes. lol kidding. If anyone wants to draw us gifts that would be so awesome of you and we'd love you forever. It's not expected though. Just thought I'd give the heads up a bit early just in case anyone would want to.^^; Planning on asking Mael to take me out to Giovanni's which is an awesome pizza joint around here and to see Shrek Forever After.

I did get a bit of a nice early birthday gift this past Tuesday. Hung out with my mom a lot that day and one of the places we went to was Good Will where I found a really nice framed Lion King print for only $1.06. How awesome is that? Felt as excited as I did last year when I ended up buying an autographed copy of Soulforge on my actual birthday and didn't realize it til Mael and I were back in the van. Before the Good Will trip, my mom and I also went to Half Price Books and my mom bought what I picked out for me as a birthday present which was: Babe and Home on the Range on vhs and the sequel to The 101 Dalmatians by Dodie Smith called The Starlight Barking. That was a pretty neat find. Hadn't realized there was a sequel to The 101 Dalmatians before. For any Cadpig fans, she's grown as are all of the original puppies and has become the Prime Minister's dog and has a big part in the book. I recommend this to any 101 Dalmatians fans.

Been getting quite the little flood of watchers the last several days and I just want to give a heartfelt thank you to everybody that has added me to their watch recently. I very much appreciate it and you make a dragoness happy. ^_^
