So just a pre-Christmas update on things!

* WORK: Fulltime is going great! Work has been super busy this time of year as always! I've not been nearly as sore working as much! My body's definitely adjusting to being on my feet more, albeit my one foot has lingering soreness. XD

* ART: So I've been pretty busy with said work, trying to clean up my owed list has been rough. Here's what I got on my plate right now:

*CHRISTMAS: Never been huge on this time of year after my family fiasco this time of year back in like the mid to late 20teens When you play with everyone to visit, purposely get everyone some lovely gifts, and they put you in a bed fulla dried pee, and just don't even consider you for anything...yeah that's sad. :( So I get pretty frustrated and lonely this time of year cuz of that family stuff. So if I seem quiet it's because I'm working a lot and just not in a super good mood. :/ Don't hate me!

SO after 17 years I was approached by the store manager asking if I'd like to be a professional floater for my company. I'm doing full time hours now, Mon-Fri 8 hours a day! It came with an extra buck an hour raise and yeah I'm SUPER hyped! (And super sore lol). But needless to say art will be slowing down! I'll be paying back those with art, for sure! :3 I've got some commissions to work on bit by bit but hanging in there! My goal is another 300 bucks here in a week. If I can pull that off I should be good to get to my next payday! I had to take a week off for family junk and baby showers so i lost out on some wages of that amount. To sum up things on why I'm struggling: I cleared my saving to pay off a sketchy credit card I used to buy some new furniture. They were charging me fees (it was supposed to be no interest) and it fucked me up. Was supposed to get a large financial payout from my family for property sold but my sister messed it up. We signed everything, it was a done deal pending an appraisal. So I cleared said debt, found out in two days that the appraisal fell thru AND my roommate was leaving me in a month (back in July).
The financial payout will be coming since the house has been gutted and cleaned, they're remodeling it. HOPEFULLY this winter.

SO if anyone does donate and would prefer a payback PLEASE take note of the amount and hold it to me when I DO get the payout this winter sometime. I will pay you back for sure~ <3 IF you don't want art.

I am a dork, and I miscalculated some things. I ended up about 300 dollars in the hole because of some bad budgeting. I'm looking for taking in some commissions TO BE DONE slightly down the road. I owe a YCH and 2 outstanding commissions (both in the coloring phase tho) but you'll be put on a list and I'll crank them out asap!

Otherwise donations would also be welcome, which would probably just be treated as a commission and thus I'd draw you something as well.

SO why the sudden change of heart and the urge to go digital? Well there's a multitude of reasons really.

Reason one is a lack of supplies. So namely it's gotten very expensive to buy new prisma markers. I used to have a website you could buy in bulk for like 3-4 bucks a marker. Most of those are either gone, not in stock or have gone to crazy ass prices! Like 8 or 10 bucks it feels like! It gets freakin crazy! And hard to afford!
My second reason is probably color matching. it gets really hard to match up colors when you go traditionally and those tones and hues of graybrowngreentan just get tricky to hit. And the last time I bought my colored pencils (Prang) they didn't come labeled at all. SOOO trying to even put a name to a pencil shade is a pain when THERE ARE NONE. X_X
The third and biggest reason I think is a bit of a funk and depression. Like people have been belitting me for so many years about just drawing what I liked to do. "Why not go digital? Digital art is better." really gets old and tiresome. Mixed in with some horrendous weight gains and sadness as of late well...scales were tipped over 425 pounds. I was overworking, tired, worn out and had no motivation. In a bit of funk and sadness I just pulled the trigger on a tablet as a way and means to both lift my mood, try something new, and focus myself!
Oddly enough it has helped, I'm down 35 pounds in teh last 3 weeks (having done some healthy eats over the span) and just having a drive to do things again helps. :3

So yeah that's pretty much it! My commissions are gonna be on a temp hiatus unless you know me more personally WINK. I wanna get more stuff done that I've wanted to do and to those who helped me out through these rough times. :3
